I found out why the distribution amount has moved a tiny amount. Our live demos are actually live demos so when people were running them it would change the amount distributed.
We turned the demos down to 1 Mrai so even if people are using the demos, it will use as little as possible.
Issue cleared. Where are these funds going? It seems to be a nice cut in the distribution. What are you going to do with the spent coins there? It is 1 MRai per demo. The faucet offers 200MRai per solved captcha...So the demo needs to execute 200 times to actually be the equivalent of 1 solved captcha. As I can see, the dev doesn't take any money. So he created a beautiful coin (instant an free transactions) without being provided any compensation. I hope the coins spent in the live demo actually go to him! Being rewarded for his work with some of his own coins seems totally legit! The network went live on 1st of October 2015 ( https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/raiblocks/3UIjRRQFqY4) and by march 2016 lass than 1.5% were distributed. * 1.5% in the first 6 month. * 2.3% in the 7th month ... (steady growth) -------- 3.8% of coins distributed freely within 7 month ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Focusing on integration and stabilization is more important than quickly distributing all the faucet is capable of !?

I'd like to test shade, but the testnet is 83 weeks behind and not syncing. "addnode 107.170.185.5:28379 add" ... doesn't help either Any idea?

More likely it's a typo in the passphrase. First thing to look for is spaces at the beginning or end of the passphrase if it was copied and pasted. Copying from formatted text can also do strange and unusual things to the text string. I paste into notepad or other plaintext editor to check for spaces. also check at least the first few and last few characters to make sure the entire passphrase was copied.
The pass phrase is exactly 100 chars. So no room for blank spaces. The text has always been stored in plain text. So no room for strange formatting issues either A typo is highly unlikely. 2 out of 3 pass phrases stored in the same document are working perfectly, only the one with most exotic chars in it doesn't work. The entire pass phrase has been copied. If i add 1 char it tells me to put 100 chars max... edit1: Using the desktop wallet 0.5.2 the public key is created correctly and my balance shows up. Unfortunately the desktop wallet is stuck 12 days ago! I guess someone screwed up with the latest web version... edit2: Guess this could be worth a bug bounty ?! Given I provide my private key and you can fix the issue. Public keys not matching within versions is very dangerous! edit3: I downloaded the crypti-win-lite-0.5.2 version, yet the wallet tells me "Crypti Client v0.5.4" Which one am I using ? edit4: Opening the wallet With the exact same private Key under Ubuntu generates a different public key than opening the wallet with Windows. Weird! But Problem solved. If you generated your key under Windows, stick with Windows...

The balance shows 0, since it isn't the same address anymore... I will try ro reopen with the old client to see if it's working But it somehow takes ages to start... Is that normal behaviour? Is 0.2.0 desktop client still working?

I just tried to open my account with the online wallet v0.5.4 . But the public key is different than expected ! I created the account with the desktop wallet v0.2.0, and the online wallet doesn't give the same public key.
Is it possible the algo to derive the public key from private key has changed ? It's quite an important amount of crypti concerned... For an other account there was no problem at all. So I suppose it is a very rare case, because I really used some special chars ;-)

So will there be another currency? Will syscoin no longer be the fuel to your main developments (shade) I dont entirely understand what shade/sys2 /... is? Do i have to take action as a sys holder?

Why would he abandon his project just like that ? He put a year effort into building it. We could see some progress over the time. He practically distributed node for free to over 1000 stakeholders. I'd say that less than 20 BTC were made by selling node to stakeholders... What about the DEV's % of node coins. Have these addresses been touched ?

Hey, been following Qora for a while. Gz for the recent development. I have a question though:
It is now possible to create your webpage on the blockchain. Correct ? Does that mean, that every full node has to store the entity of webpages published on the blockchain ? So if I download the blockchain, every webpage will be saved as a copy on my machine. Or am I wrong ? Doesn't this bloat the blockchain tremendously ? We will soon have a scalability issue ? Or am I completely missing something ?
Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me.

Please wait until the Status is "OKE". During synchronization the column contents get updated very fast, so the focus might get lost, after initial synchronisation you should not have those problems.
Indeed, those "bugs" only appear while syncing. After synchronization process everything works as expected. No, this is not normal behavior, when you close the wallet, are you going to File/Quit (Alt+Q) or you just close the window by clicking the X button to close it? Usually (but not always, at least to me), if the wallet is forced to closed, data folder gets corrupted and needs to synchronize from scratch.
If I close my wallet with Alt+Q, or the File->Quit button, previous synchronization remains valid. Thanks for the help.

I just downloaded the latest client.
Is it normal behavior that at every start of my wallet, synchronization is starting from zero ? When I open the Debug console, and the "Block"-tab, I can see the synchronization process... And it starts from Block 0 each time I close and restart the wallet... Moreover the client is quite buggy. -I can't copy an address. -In the "Send money"-tab, when I chose an From-Address, the scrollbar is always jumping to the top, so that I can't chose any different address than the first listed. -The same for "send message"-tab
Any help would be appreciated.

As a cryptocoin user, keyloggers are your mortal enemy. Isolate your cryptocoin activity to a zone where you have taken active measures to prevent keyloggers from ever being installed.
And this is the main issue with crypto. If your credit cards get stolen you can blame the banks and they'll refund you. If your crypto keys get stolen... Well you are responsible and have to take the loss. As long as there is no good solution for this tedious safety work, crypto will not be adopted by the masses. If you want to make crypto be adopted, solve this part of the puzzle.

Interesting document. What percent of the total coins do the devs control? It's less than 50%, isn't it? That's what I want to know. And possibly if the addresses are public so we can see what happens with the funds. All coins not issued to individuals in the beginning should be able to trace as transparently as possible, so we know everything is okay. As I see it at the moment, ~5.6billion coins (around 60% of the total coins are controlled by community fund manager + devs) And at the moment it is not very clear who these community fund managers are or will be, since there is no mention in the document. But I am sure these questions have all been answered already. I'd appreciate a link to this information. Thanks

Thanks for this, clears it up a little. Are there any addresses allocated to the "Sustainability Fund"? Who decides how to spend it ? Who has access to these funds ? Is it possible for me to see at every point how much has been spent already on the different parts ? Like the "NIS Node Rewards" part is interesting. Are those "Operational Costs Fund I" ,"Pre-V1 Fund" , "Post-V1 Fund" parts public addresses, so we can check how much has been used up. This would be nice as it would provide a transparent way of what's happening to the funds managed by the devs / community. Greetings

Hey, Tested the new client, and everything is working just fine. Harvesting also working good. First 10Xem have been harvested ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I have a question about the distribution. There are 9 billion coins in existence. 2.25 million coins have been distributed to around 1500 individuals. This equals around 3.4 billion coins. Who is holding the remaining 5.6 billion coins? I couldn't find this in the openeining post or in the blog quickly. Any links ? Thanks

@TheRealSilk Has the public key generating algorythm been changed within the last few days/weeks ? I have a private key, which now gives me a different public key than it used to. lots of random chars like "½¹²[{¬³}]′°!?§$(*'~öÖüÜäÄ " in it. I only put 1000 nodes in it to test. Any suggestion why I am getting a different public address today using the webwallet ? Btw: http://nodemoney.com:19775/#/login is down. 18775 is up. What do I have to use ? edit: Okay, when i run the local client, my private key still works. Now why is the webclient giving me a different public address ? Is http://nodemoney.com:18775/#/login a testnet ? Should be made clear on that page. Are there any risks associated with entering my private key into the webwallet ?

Pics of the updates coming to the purchase workflow in Blockmarket beta3, still hashin out the final details (heh, get it?!) but as you can see, trying to make it much more seamless with the QT wallet:
Had a quick look at your purchase flows. Users has to wait 2 times. How long will this take ? I mean if I want to do my everyday shopping, I don't want to wait while adding an item to my shopping cart. Amazon has its one click buy, which is successful because there is no waiting time. I mean, the longer the purchasing process takes, the more likely you are to lose customers on their way till the final step. Much easier flow: 1 - Click buy. 2 - prompt(Do you really want to spend 100 Sys on Item?) Confirm | Cancel 3 - // do the rest in the background // In the unlikely case that anything went wrong, send a notification to the user, telling him what went wrong. => no waiting time. Greater ease for any customer.

Trying to install on ubuntu. My .skycoin folder is empty. Performing ./run.sh -h gives me this: 2015/01/30 15:45:08 Wallet Directory= /home/myusername/.skycoin/wallets 2015/01/30 15:45:08 Failed to load all wallets: open /home/myusername/.skycoin/wallets: no such file or directory panic: Failed to load all wallets: open /home/myusername/.skycoin/wallets: no such file or directory
goroutine 1 [running]: .... .... exit status 2
Running ./run.sh -web-interface=true gives me the same. If i manually create the wallets folder inside the .skycoin folder, something is happening. It creates a new genesis block as no blockchain is inside the .skycoin folder, and gives me http://127.0.0.1:5798/ as debugging address and blacklists all the peers. Suggestions?

Now we're getting somewhere ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) So what you're saying is because node.js is used if a node makes a tx all other nodes know about it immediately and therefore it's not possible that one node knows about a tx that another doesn't know about ? Yes, the transaction is simultaneously sent to all peers immediately even if You have 10000 peers. When a transaction arrives at the client NODE , it synchronizes with the main peers and checks the synchronization, so on a circle. This is good stuff! I didn't know that tx are sent to all peers simultaniously, either. I thought Silk couldn't grasp what patmast3r was trying to ask... But now I see that for Silk, the concept behind node.js was so obvious that he didn't see how we couldn't get what he said. It now makes sense to me. Good job @TheRealSilk - keep it up!

I'm not sure why people put orders in for less than a dollar to manipulate the price. Open source should end this nonsense. Probably we should get on a few more exchanges as the client gets more stable.
If you believe in this coin, why would you need more exchanges ? You clearly want to see real world adoption, so there is no need to transfer crypto into fiat. Just create an incentive for people to spend qora instead of transfering it back into fiat as soon as possible with as much gain as possible. Maybe have a quick look at Bitmark project. Their goal is mass user adoption rather than feature pumping. It's a simple scrypt clone yet the dev doesn't need to convince exchanges to add the coin. It's the other way round. Features that no one knows how to use them are not worth very much. And if it's too complicated to use a system, it won't be used unless it offers something really special. Does Qora have such a unique special thing ? And if what is it ? Try to build a usecase for users around this feature. Make users want to try it out.
