41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherscan or Ethplorer on: June 29, 2020, 10:49:07 PM
I'm using Ethplorer to check my wallets and track my tokens if the token I waited coming from bounties have finally arrive in my wallets, I have so many shit tokens in my wallet that are sitting in my wallets for years but I notice that some coins do not have value in Ethplorer whereas in Etherscan they have value, did you also notice that, which of the two are you using to check your wallet.

I use etherscan for tracking my wallets. Although, I've used ethplorer couple of times but to be candid, etherscan is has more functionalities than ethplorer like you mention yourself, the price tracking of etherscan is really acurate and it cover quite a lot of different tokens. There other features etherscan is having over ethplorer
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a corrupt team cook a blockchain? on: June 29, 2020, 10:44:38 PM
I have some suspicion a coin I'm staking had a team take over it that "cooked it's books" somehow.   The wallet keeps stalling and will not sync, and there are others on the thread/channel that say they are able to sync and stake. This has happened a number of times since a person took over the development.  The blockchain their new coin creates never works for more than a few weeks but supposedly for a couple people it does. Many chime in on the thread that they are not able to sync.

I know behind the scenes at the code level (or maybe node level) there is a lot of control a developer can have.   Is it possible for a corrupt team to make it that only certain people are getting stakes?

It is very much possible especially if the coin in particular is running on their own blockchain which might be a private network. I've had experience with a similar situations,  the teams do have the ability to blacklist certain ip address and leave access to certain few. I'm not sure but reasoning logically, i think the people giving positive feedback are set of people who have direct link with the team and they are doing so to shill the coin
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China policy on Bitcoin on: June 28, 2020, 08:36:47 PM
Only time will tell if china will be able to surpass US when it comes to being the world financial stronghold. It is safe to say US is quite far with development but the fact that china is always open to adopt innovative changes is really giving them edge over other countries and that's why China keeps flourishing the more with each year passing. I believe it won't be long now before china rolls out their own Digital currency
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: June 28, 2020, 08:22:47 PM

Yeah there are some games that adapting the idea of bitcoin, implementing the blockchain and even using cryptocurrency as their prize and rewards or method of payment but some of them are like a faucet instead of a game, but at least you can still enjoy while doing faucets, and mostly 8bit games there are also a lot of ICO, IEO projects that focuses in the gaming industry but we don't know maybe someday there will be a popular game that based on bitcoin.

I agree with you, the gaming industry is a sector that is currently adopting the use of cryptocurrency and blockchain to improve their operational framework for a better immersive experience and reward distribution. There are alot of games on the EOS blockchain using cryptocurrency to reward gamers when ever they play, we have quite a number of games on ethereum blockchain too following the footsteps of cryptokitty
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuelan can now renew their Passport with Bitcoin as payment. on: June 28, 2020, 07:41:03 PM
Venezuelan citizens who are abroad can reportedly use Bitcoin to pay for passport services.

According to BTC transaction images posted on Twitter by Ronny Martinez, an engineer who hosts an academic YouTube channel, the Venezuelan government is allowing Bitcoin as a payment option for passport renewals and extensions via its online immigration platform SAIME (Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Foreigners).

This is really a good news for the entire crypto community. with each day passing, we see more and more of crypto adoptions and now it is onto another level as the government of Venezuela just adopt the use of bitcoin for the renewal of Venezuela password. I'm sure it won't take much time before other governments across the globe follow suite with the adoption of bitcoin for payment of transactions
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banks, is it possible to move physical currencies to Crypto? on: June 28, 2020, 07:35:19 PM
We have seen numerous times people complain about unsolicited charges by banks which is not almost possible in cryptocurrencies if you're to save your money on Bitcoin or any other valuable cryptocurrency.

It begs me to ask this question; is it possible for one to move physical currencies to Crypto exchanges without passing through the Bank?

It is very much possible to get into cryptocurrency without the involvement of banks. Here in African, we have lots of merchants and businessmen who accepts raw cash in return for Bitcoin or other major cryptocurrency for a relatively small charges that seems insignificant especially when you are to purchase little amount of crypto. I'm sure the merchants will one way or the other go through bank to get back into crypto but that's left to them

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CZ and Coinmarketcap on: June 21, 2020, 10:24:40 PM
I knew this day will come, finally CZ changes the rules on coinmarketcap, now all projects are ranked with Liquidity, good bye to fake volume, have anyone else noticed this already?

Since Cz binance attain his mainstream in crypto market during the ending of 2017, the man has been known for providing the best of services in the whole of crypto market and through the creation of quality services, he has been able to inspire others to really improve on their services so Cz acquiring CMC; the largest coin tracker in crypto space is the best that that has every happened to that platform and like you said, we are already seeing positive changes to the reported volume of coins and exchange
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I need ICO? on: June 21, 2020, 10:16:03 PM
I ’m a technician, but I do n’t know how to promote it.
I hope that like Satoshi Nakamoto, there is no ICO, no pre-mining, but no one will develop for free. All need money.
The isomorphic multi-chain solution was designed by myself. The core technology has been implemented and verified to be feasible.

I can complete the technical project by myself.
I have developed the first technical version and will finish the second technical version.
The next plan is an application, which requires a formal team and a lot of funding.
The project is online more than half a year, but the promotion is slow.

It's really sad that their isn't a designed working structure or readily available angel investors to always help out team with good products but have no much funds to better develop their product as well to provide the need promotions and packaging to better sell their products to the public. You really need to raise some money and look for range exchanges such as probits and otgers to help u raise funds through ieo
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Cov-19 as excuses on: June 21, 2020, 10:06:03 PM
Do not be fooled, Cov-19 doesn't disturb new project from launching, few new projects are using Cov-19 to make excuse, good quality projects don't see any reason to hold because of the pandemic, any project that do this should be considered as Controlled by weak team

I perfectly agree with you, you can't believe start up teams are very much still using the COVID19 pandemic as excuse even after most of the countries relaxed lockdown already. Allot of projects already excited scam using the same pandemic as bail out excuses. It's just very pathetic how must of teams after their pockets
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new project team can afford top exchanges on: June 21, 2020, 09:59:21 PM
I'm glad we have IEO for new projects to raise funds successful after ICO did lots of damages to investors trust but that's not all, I want something that can help new upcoming projects to raise funds easily, for IEO if you don't have enough money for top exchanges there is 70% chances that you will come out with a bad result...

What do you think could solve this? New Fund raising?

It's really hard now for low capital start up because it all depends on the exchange you are able to afford to list your IEO on as people prefer to trust the decision of major exchanges such as binance, okex, kucoin and gate.io in choosing quality project for IEO's due to too many bad choices they've made personally when it comes to choosing project to invest in.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: June 21, 2020, 09:52:58 PM
Many people regret that they did not buy BTC while they first knew about it. For some, they did not sell BTC while they could. Roll Eyes

For me, I got MWC & HEX for free from airdrop to BTC HODLers, but dumped them before they peak. I could easily make 10x of my existing BTC, if I held them strong. Cry

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?

Regret are something that are often very close to everyone in this market... My greatest regret is not knowing and buying enough btc on time before the all time high, and when i got in the price was almost at the peak, so the price dump on me. My other regrets are the massive airdrop and bounties tokens i got that i either sold off too early or too late in the late 2017/2018
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DONT MARRY YOUR ALTCOIN BAGS on: June 21, 2020, 09:49:19 PM
altcoins are great for flipping for more btc but dont every marry a coin. When btc goes on a run past all time highs you dont want to be bagholding ALTS. You will watch them get crushed. I personally was bagholding alts from 4k-20K and they got demolished I even had friends saying man you must be doing well with those bitcoins you have Cheesy In the end alts went nuts and I did well but If I would have waited till BTC topped out I would have made more. So moral of the story there is dont marry a coin/project they and watch your btc shrink get in and get out after you make decent profits. Sure sometimes you can buy an alt an maybe 10x-100x on it bagholding, but there is 1000s of coins out there that wont make those type of gains. Anyway do whats best for you but dont be that guy married to a bag watching btc head to 50-100k or whatever the top might be

This is really a fundamental concept everyone needs to understand before investing in altcoins. Like you said, it is possible for altcoins to have a massive price surge as much as x1000 but the survivability of altcoins ain't guaranteed because not all of them usually see the end of the tunnel after a long bearish market condition so selling them for bitcoin for the longrun is the smartest thing to do always
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 20, 2020, 09:54:07 PM
As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

Can we relate Bitcoin with Mobile Gaming?

Just like Bitcoin; banks can be a traditional and Bitcoin becomes much easier and comfortable to use.

In mobile gaming; PC Desktop games/console games, etc can be traditional while games on mobile are the new trend where you can play comfortably anywhere with just your mobile phone.

Does it ring a bell?
It's kinda the use of Bitcoin is much comfortable since we just need a Bitcoin wallet and internet connection to make the transaction.
And in gaming: we just need a mobile phone where it is easy to access anytime and anywhere and play since you just need your mobile phone, no need to bring your console/PC desktop every time just to play.

I agree with your analysis and assumption because just like how bitcoin is positioned for the next generation of financial system, mobile games are redefining the gaming industry as more and more games are being made available for mobile devices and also, more powerful gaming mobile devices are being worked on
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There Are Now More Than 8,000 Bitcoin ATM's Worldwide on: June 20, 2020, 09:20:23 PM
It makes people to have a convenient bitcoin transaction for those who are nearby ATM's machine.
It shows continued growth of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The mass adoption for bitcoin will surely increase and someday many people now without knowledge in bitcoin will engage in cryptocurrency because as time passed, bitcoin became more and more popular and recognizable.

It's really nice seeing more and more bitcoin/ crypto ATM being install with each passing day and i strongly believe it will boost adoption as the outside world or people who are being sceptical about bitcoin will get to understand that tge vision of cryptocurrency is far from an abstract. However, it would be nice if the ATMs are being installed in other nations instead of just USA
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: June 19, 2020, 10:48:36 PM
Same, I've done my best. But atleast we already told them about btc, they are now informed about its existence in the world. And maybe in the future they will give it a second chance because I'm like that too. Heard it from a friend but didn't jump right away, I just know about btc. Read articles about it but wasn't in the industry right away. We talk about it again and that's the time I decided to know more about btc and the rest was history. Hoping that some of our friends will be like that too.

You are right, most people in this space heard about bitcoin and cryptocurrency long before the time they later decided to join, i also joined when bitcoin started being bullish in 2016/2017 but i already heard about it way back and so it is for majority of people in here. I believe in future, even the people still doubting the concept of bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency will join the market especially when we experience the next bull run
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters United we stand on: June 16, 2020, 08:50:24 PM
I think it's time for bounty hunters to start claiming their right on this forum, I'm talking about bounties that wants hundreds to thousands participants on their spreadsheet but plan to pay bounty hunters 5$ each for their 8month work, this is getting more ridiculous every day, IQ cash bounty is over and with the current price per token you will be lucky to earn 10$ to 20$, if no one is ready to stand by me I will stand for myself, what I want is

Fixed bounty allocation or
Limited bounty participants

We can't keep helping new projects for pennies, we should take actions

It is really a concern which i believe affects every bounty hunters on this forum. It is a known fact now that most team do roll up bounty campaigns with such a little payment allocation that will show any sane person that this is a slave work. For some time now, I've made it a habit to always pay attention to bounty token allocation because it's most important factor that will guarantee how profitable the campaign will be on the long run

What do you think could solve this? New Fund raising?

The fee friendly exchanges out there that will charge little fee for listing IEO's are literally having small volumes and investors and this is the reason why most low capital project do raise a little amount and perform wholefully again listing on exchanges. I believe people just have to do more research about any project There're  interested in because only start-ups that with good and strong backing s survives now
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: June 16, 2020, 08:30:39 PM
Probably you are just saying that, because your expecting too much on it. But for the people here who knows the cycle happening in cryptocurrency it doesn't mean the price is 1$ of each token while the project campaign was in progress it means true, of course not!
I know when it comes to the actual price in the market that won't do happen most of the time.

Well,  i agree with him though because whenever i open my sheet to view spreadsheets, i do end up seeing lot of tokens on there but the most annoying thing is that most of these project hardly make it to even exchanges. It is okay and normal not to expect so much from bounty hunting but it's really hurtful seeing the rewards you work for worthing nothing
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: June 16, 2020, 08:21:49 PM
There's a possibility of India to ban crypto again. According to an article by decrypt, "A new bill in India may be proposing up to ten years of prison or fines up to $3.3 million for using cryptocurrency."
If the bill passed, the chance of having Indian into the crypto space will be very low as the punishment is too high.
Source- https://decrypt.co/32160/india-considers-another-widespread-ban-on-bitcoin

I was shocked when i saw the news on icodrop's telegram news channel because the whole crypto space celebrated the victory of cryptocurrency being legalize by the Supreme Court early this year in indian so since then, I've been wondering what could be wrong that warranted the proposal of such action to ban cryptocurrency activities all over again
