41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest | Mandatory wallet update NOW! on: July 06, 2014, 07:07:54 PM
It seems the links still point to v2.0.0.0 of the wallet. It gets stuck at block 71999

An links to 2.0.1.0 binaries?

The link in the first post is the 2.0.1.0, due to the rush at the time the devs forgot to change the version number.
The reason you are getting stuck is probably because you are connected to seeds which are still on the old wallet, which is preventing you from moving further.

If you go back a few posts you will see requests and solutions from other people which had the same problem.

i was a bag holder.... theres no point trying to keep some shit coin going... cut your losses and make your money back

if not then good luck with everything and i hope for all your sakes this coin can recover

PEACE

Sometimes patience is all that is required , so far , many steps and troubles have been overcome ;
the new asiacoin team has proven to its community that they are serious about proceeding well .

Among other coins , I bought some serious amounts of AsiaCoin today , maybe from you : Thanks  Cool

I agree. Give the devs some time to realise their goals. Rome wasn't built in one day, AC does not have the intention to be a pump 'n dump coin (or at least not since it was revived..)

Every now and then I get some stakes which do not confirm, not even after weeks. Is this like getting an orphaned block when mining?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest | Mandatory wallet update NOW! on: June 24, 2014, 04:56:32 PM
GETCOIN2 is a SCAM site!!!

GetCoin2 AsiaCoin faucet is a SCAM,SCAM,SCAM!!!

I had 21+ AC in my account on their site and for over a week received no payouts, then today all the coins disappeared and they now claim the faucet is dry and are begging for donations. What a bunch of crap,if the faucet was dry why was able to collect coins everyday for a week and then have them steal back the 21 coins instead of paying me?They kept the coins, sold them, then cried poor. The site is a SCAM!!!

I'm sure the 21 AC made them a lot of dough..  Roll Eyes

But yes, it's ethically wrong of course..

So how is it going with the multipool in the meantime? Any plans on a launch date already?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest | Mandatory wallet update NOW! on: June 09, 2014, 11:50:28 AM
Hotfix seems to be working properly. Thanks devs!

Ajareselde,

There's a lot more to AsiaCoin than meets the eye at this moment. There are plenty of features on the way, plus we are really aiming as a community to make this the cryptocurrency by choice for the asian market.

Asia-QT was open the whole month maybe restarted it 3 times , and it only minted once, not @ 100% it was more like 2%,
and atm it still dosent sync.

on my wallet i have got exactly 3.7% for two weeks . did not calculate how this compounds in one year quite possibly it compounds to 100 % per year

That is even a lot more than 100% per year (is around 150% - just calculate 1.037 ^26)
14/365 x 100% = 3.83561%

There is definitely compounding effect but staked coins need to mature for 2 weeks before being able to stake. Your calculation is based on 100% per year. However, the revised POS schedule will reduce the stake interest to 80% at block 72,000. It is part of the reason for the sync issue we are currently facing.

There is also an element of luck as stake interest only even out in long run. AsiaCoin stakers who get a higher % are the lucky ones since the stake rewards are going down over time.

The calculation right there takes into account the two weeks Smiley As you indicate there is however some luck involved. It just proves you are in the ballpark.

Price is on downfall. Its almost 490 SAT now.

downfall? two weeks ago we wish that the price was 490sat  Grin

+1 LOL.  Well said.

Don't worry AsiaCoin is not front page news at the moment.  It will take time to build awareness and exposure.  I believe after that AC's specs and amazing community will lift it back up to where it should be.  It's increbile that we are even here, patience now and in time all good things will come.  Keep spreading the word and doing what you can for AC.

Exactly. It was 100% predicted that there will be a slow return to the top for us, as the community regains their trust in us and our work. Some people will decide to dump and the situation with other coins is also really similar (almost all coins are being dumped for people to invest in 1-2 coins, this can't keep up, once those coins have their fun time, the investment will return to where they came from, and coins such as AC will regain attention, especially if the coin is in a much better situation that it was before).

At this time it's critical for us to remain focused, don't get scared, continue to work hard to add features to AsiaCoin. We're working on the technical side to add a lot of features to AsiaCoin, including better and more exclusive wallet design, coin control features, better and more updated base-code, x11 multipool, among many others. On the marketing side, we're really close to adding CoinPayments as it's very important, and we're in contact with a few other places too, so soon our ecosystem will be significantly larger and there will be a lot more places to directly spend AsiaCoin.

We're also working hard on our diffusion in Asia. We've made plans, we're looking for people who can help us with this (PM if you can help). Ideally we want to have representatives in each Asian country, or at least for each Asian language who can manage coordination and marketing tasks specific to those locations. AsiaCoin will have a great future!

That sounds really promising Maestro, keep up the nice work!

I take it this is finally dead then?

You're on the wrong thread.

Exactly!

Is cryptsy still stuck on 56k dail-up with adding AC for trading?

Mintpal FTW.

I heard that Cryptsy will open AC tomorrow. No worries.

CryptoSteam, still any need to get added to the list? I have quite some AC as well, but from what I've understood everything should be solved just by the wallet update?
Haven't really had any time to follow the evolutions since I left for work abroad on 30th of april right before the turbulent times..

No worries about the list. You just have to upgrade your wallet to the new version. See the first post in this thread.

Ok thanks! Nice to see the community was able to save the coin from the greedy dev. This actually once again confirms the potential of AC!

I have about 95% of hashpower on this round, from last block find (50+Mh/s), so it's not possible, i don't get any 1 AC from this block.

Don't you have to wait for coins to confirm?

I'm waiting from 02:00, now is 09:46. There is no money in unconfirmed, i seeking in block explorer, and didn't find my address in transactions from blocks from this time.

I think better you contact the pool. Sure the block did not get orphaned?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Version1.0.0.1 Released - Please Upgrade your wallet on: April 28, 2014, 10:18:48 PM

not always true. The halving last week didn't push the price up.

The halving of block reward shouldn't push the price up.

I don't know who ever came up with that concept in the first place? I have seen this incorrect statement on several altcoin threads.

On a per-time-basis only half the amount of coins are being added to the market compared to before the block-halving, so one could think this has an effect on price. However there are of course a lot of other influences to factor in..

how to prevent the blockchain problem happening with whitecoin?

This is Asiacoin trend,
Go here it might help your problem >>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568517.7280

I mean how to avoid such a problem with Asia coin in POS?

Asiacoin has proper devs, they tested the PoS. Apparently devs from Whitecoin did not..
