41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad: 1st Multi-PoW - Electrum / MyriadSwitcher / Coinpayments.net Contest on: May 26, 2014, 07:39:51 AM
I've seen so many good articles on Myriad lately and everything about the coin sounds great. So what keeps holding down the price? Mintpal manipulating whales?

lack of pump&dump potential due to fair, slow and wide distrbution. Smiley

Just wait for it Smiley

42  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEW ATH BY END OF JULY & $5000 PER BITCOIN BY END OF YEAR on: May 25, 2014, 11:56:44 PM
Are you guys really that optimistic? I can see over $1000 again no problem, maybe 2 max but 5k is gonna take a while longer than half a year methinks  Smiley
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs Filling For Bankruptcy in 2014? on: May 25, 2014, 11:10:04 PM
YOU GUYS DONT WAHT TO BELIEVE ME BUT BFL WILL FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY... LETS SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Customers in 24 countries have made 283 complaints to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against Kansas-based mining equipment maker Butterfly Labs since 2012, as we reported earlier this week.

Since detailed information about notable companies in the bitcoin economy is thin on the ground, CoinDesk wrangled the data on two dimensions – geography and order value – to see what it could tell us.

You should open this up as a bet on one of those Bitcoin prediction betting sites. I'd definitely put money down on them going down by the end of this year.
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the bitcoin price rising rapidly today? on: May 25, 2014, 10:51:14 PM
One theory is that Asian interest is back as Hong Kong might be a safe harbor of sorts.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people have received random .00000001 transactions to their wallets? on: May 25, 2014, 10:48:53 PM
I received one of those before, but only to an address that I reused numerous times. Since then I make an effort to create a fresh address for every transaction.
46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Proof of massive fraudulent trading activity and how it has affected the price on: May 25, 2014, 10:25:44 PM
It seems as though the Goxxing will never end!
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AssPennies | Now you've got the upper hand. | NO PREMINE on: May 25, 2014, 10:24:34 PM
LOL I must have sent that asspennies youtube link to a thousand people when I first saw it. It cracks me up every time!

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Is Simcoin out of control? Dev describes investors as retards!!!! on: May 25, 2014, 10:15:47 PM
I actually browsed that thread with the possible intention of investing but the dev's attitude turned me right off so I stayed clear. Hope it works out for those of you who are invested.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I buy Zerocoin? on: May 25, 2014, 10:02:19 PM
The developers of the zerocoin protocol will be releasing their own cryptocurrency called "Zerocash" that will be using a new and improved version of the protocol. The devs just announced last week that it is still 3+ months away unfortunately.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING] Jed has decided to dump his billions of Ripples (XRP). Thoughts? on: May 25, 2014, 09:59:07 PM
...this is the end, my friend.... my only friend, the end
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop falling for the Mintpal pump and dump scam (this should be a forum sticky) on: May 25, 2014, 09:54:43 PM
I think when Zerocash comes out it will be the new, undisputed heavyweight champion of the anonymous cryptos!
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is on its way D O W N..... on: May 25, 2014, 09:50:24 PM
I was never a fan, but they did say that the native currency XRP was just meant to be like a "postage stamp". People speculated on it anyway, even though there were some truly massive whales (the company behind Ripple, Jed, etc.). Now the speculators are paying the price.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Wondered whos pushing BTC price? Here is the answer. on: May 25, 2014, 09:41:53 PM
Next theory please  Smiley
55  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone Think Bitstamp is Insolvent? Possible BTC Price Drop Incoming? on: May 25, 2014, 09:37:59 PM
I believe they just went through a very thorough audit not too long ago. I think it is more a case of them being paranoid about following all the regulations.

57  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Did anyone get any money back from pirateat40's scam? on: May 25, 2014, 09:05:39 PM
Did Pirate ever end up going to jail? I know he was charged, just not sure if it is still ongoing.
58  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: DarkWallet Alpha3 Release on: May 25, 2014, 08:57:33 PM
Just a general question regarding DarkWallet, but I was wondering if it will always run off of a browser or if it will eventually be a standalone app?
59  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: May 25, 2014, 07:58:40 PM
Hey guys is there some sort of issue with exporting the private keys from a Multibit client? I thought I read that somewhere when the Maidsafe IPO was going on.
No. Export works perfectly. there was an issue with import of blockchain.info aes.json files because the blockchain.info file format and its old import code (which has been removed) is screwed up but it could only lead to loss if you deleted old backups or generally didn't care about making backups or at least verify that everything is ok and you have new backups before deleting old backups. Backup (export) itself is working perfectly.

Good to know! Thanks for the info!
