Which pool do you prefer for mining Bytecoin?
I like extreme pool and among smaller pools my favorite is xmining.

Hmm what is this lull? Guess everybody's having a good time with the new updated Bytecoin. I updated everything as well, and it works great. Would like to express my graditude to Bytecoin developers for caring about us, users.

What do you like the most about the new updated Bytecoin?

I looove how they decreased blockchain storage. 500 MB like whaaaat??  Grin

I am surprised to hear there is someone who doesnt' know Minergate, the first BCN pool to mine on.

I was talking about http://bcn.oneevil.ru/
Obviously i know Minergate.

I can find only 4 working BCN pools and extremepool has 77% of the net hash rate...

The following pools seem to have shut down fairly recently due to lack of support for small pools:

http://bcnpool.co.uk
http://bcn.oneevil.ru/
http://bcn.ext-pool.net/

Please support the smaller pools! This severely uneven spread of hash rate amongst all the pools is unhealthy.

never even heard of the 2nd one Undecided

What did you guys expect? You don't even come across these names here on this forum. If you ask people here which pool do they use, you will most likely get "minergaaate" or "extremepooool". Honestly, nobody gives a sh*t about those small pools. Furthermore, they don't even know about them, because they're too lazy to check page 1.

Checked the 1st page and found it there. My bad Embarrassed

xmining is fine so far but...

Network hash rate                       - 521 kH/sec

http://bcn.extremepool.org/          - 401 kh/s
https://minergate.com/                - 58 kh/s
http://bytecoin.xminingpool.com/   - 23 kh/s
http://nomp.freeyy.me:8000/bcn/  - 2.91 kh/s
Other/solo                                  - 36.09 kh/s

I mine in Xmining pool as it's possible to mine Fantomcoin there.
The future is for merged mining, no doubt

Im thinking of merging Bytecoin with something else. Not sure which coin to choose.

Do Fantomcoin.  Grin

I understand your annoyance, but hey, this is the community thread. People come here to talk, share some news, just have a good time...
Repeating questions actually show that people are interested in Bytecoin  and the community is getting new members. People here are nice ( not including trolls though). I came here with a retarded question which probably had been asked a hundred times before and people here answered it again for me.

I love this place.  Grin

Though it seems like we are having a lull here.

Thank you for your active participation! This's a great initiative and we'll soon introduce our resource.

And we also have 1,900,000 BCN from an anonymous donors.

Bytecoin media fund here - CALL TO ARMS!
Good news! I've donated already because i really like the idea!  Maybe soon i will donate again.

What the hell happened to this thread??!!! Shocked

How did the BCN team managed to to put fake names on it's team page that you can't even google ? Is this a joke or a game ?
If you want to show some transparency, you are doing it wrong, because the more you post the worst it gets.

First of all let me say that I respect the work behind BCN, and I own some of it.

Having said that. people here is kinda paranoid (me included) and I am sure everybody would be happy if some questions are answered :
- Can you give us some prove of the legitimacy of the blockchain ? There is some open discussion about it but the fact is that we lack facts supporting both positions.
- The mining teams, community, etc ... You mention them several times on your website but again there is no proof of this, can you provide some proof or at least credible sources ?
- Fake names ... really ? I don't think there is a reason to put fake names, just say you want to stay anonymous, people will respect this.
- Development Roadmap, there has been clearly work going on behind the scenes, what more can we expect ?

Hope to hear at least something NEW from the devs.

DStrange, maybe you can make sure this message gets to the devs ... TY

Good question. Hope to see the answer soon, especially, for the last one.

They probably thought fake names would be fun. Some users though could have found it disrespectful.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bytecoin [BCN] vs MONERO [XMR] who will be the winner in the Cryptonote War on: July 06, 2014, 10:43:46 PM
So according to Monero fans logic we all guys are idiots, dumbasses, etc. How cute.
Those who are able to read more than Monero thread and troll posts, please, do some research and you will find out some interesting facts about the heart of the Monero team and maybe something about user thankful-for-today.

Good job guys!
Haven't tried it yet but the description looks promising. I also don't get why did you skip Moneta verde. Huh

Same question. But in general you guys did a great job.

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: June 26, 2014, 06:43:05 PM
There is one specific group of people claiming that Bytecoin was premined. All these people are suppotring Monero instead and as we all have noticed already, everything referring to Bytecoin's success makes them extremely annoyed.
 It is understandible.
Competition is hard, especially when your coin is a fork and it's developers have no idea about making proper updates and maintaining it.
Competition gets harder when you know that your competitor is that one-and-only original cryptonote currency and its developers are the only ones who understand how the technology works because they created it.
Im am highly disappointed with the methods Monero supporters use. When you see another coin doing well you should think how you can make your coin better. Spreading falsehhood about competitors is not the way.

This is so deep.
I concur.
Pathetic trolling resulted into wrong understanding.
Bytecoin is not premined!
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 26, 2014, 06:17:06 PM
I am impressed by API implementation. I didn't think it's possible to implement to cryptonote-based coins.

Yep, our devs are pioneers of API.
Their developments will make Bytecoin the first widely used cryptonore currency.
