attention: developers who created Asiacoin builds

66:0.7.0  protocol 70007

and

Satoshi:0.8.6.2

we are interested to cooperate
please contact in this thread or PM

if these builds will prove to be OK we might implement in new release

cryptsy has become very unstable today and yesterday

cryptsy volume shown on their page sunk to 383 BTC all markets combined ( despite zero commissions )

some traders complain on bitcointalk that deposits and withdrawals sometimes have lags of several hours even days

cryptopia.co.nz remains very safe, deposits very fast and withdrawals taking one minute

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=AC_BTC

edit:: crypsy colume keeps sinking fast now shows 369 BTC https://www.cryptsy.com/users/dashboard
+ there are confirmed reports of various withdrawals blocked over 12 hours
after so many losses: cryptorush mintpal bter - suggest more caution with cryptsy

edit 14:14 UTC : Cryptsy total volume keeps falling : now shows Total: 302.3410 BTC
actually lot of orders both ways on AC/BTC
IMHO all Cryptsy bots

edit 20:56 UTC : Cryptsy seem to overcome most of problems with withdrawals
traders still scared : shown volume = Total: 275.0925 BTC
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: October 07, 2015, 12:00:59 PM
bter.com now shows volume 0.00 BTC on exchangewar.info

chances that will release millions of blocked Asiacoins is close to zero now

most likely bter will follow cryptorush and mintpal

actually bter.com owner shows official address in canada
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: October 07, 2015, 04:58:32 AM
altcoin market is so weak today even current pumps are anemic and rather humorous

on cryptsy sponsored coin #1 Cryptobuck: visible well on main page :

only one day of Cryptobuck ''pump'' volume was over 2BTC ( and even with cryptsy zero commission rule )

where are good days of 2014  : for example in 2014 : around year ago : Saturn coin pump from 1 sat till 15 sat for more than a week and every day of this pump volume was over 200BTC even reaching 500BTC

BTW : Saturncoin Sat2 price shows now at 130 sat = corresponding to 0.13 satoshi  value of old SAT ( before 1:1000 )
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: October 07, 2015, 04:36:51 AM
on Asiacoin network there is a nice wallet

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ac/address.dws?AHKA6SpMZA1r889VHY7E4t56XYyeNQY2R9.htm

rank 4

16,024,228.543882 AC

all coins received from Mintpal on single day : Oct. 8, 2014

at that date Mintpal was practically closed, no withdrawals

theoretically one could email Mintpal for ''urgent withdrawal'' at that day

few days later Mintpal stopped completely

actually so much bigger stash from MtGox, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Bter : nobody cares, nobody traces

actually: who of Asiacoin owners lost on Mintpal in October, 2014?

interesting question
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: October 06, 2015, 02:47:37 AM
Cryptsy changed fee schedule on Sept, 20

now trading is free - buy or sell both have zero commission

instead - Cryptsy introduced high withdrawal fee of 0.5%

checking litecoin LTC coins distribution

wallet no 1 : LgY8ahfHRhvjVQC1zJnBhFMG5pCTMuKRqh
and wallet no 3 : LTpYZG19YmfvY2bBDYtCKpunVRw7nVgRHW
(these wallets are sending LTC between them)

together have over 12 % ( over 5 million LTC )

wallet no 2: 3KBUuGko4H5ke7EVsq9B7PLK1c5Askdd7y
and wallet no 4 : 3KgtbGgaX2ngstNpvyv7LwpHSweVeqGbpM
(these wallets are sending LTC between them)

together have around 8% ( over 3.3 million LTC )

that means : two biggest owners have over 20 % of LTC

these two groups of wallets not moving a lot

most likely these two owners have quite a lot more of LTC on different other wallets used to trade and support price

top 10 wallets = 25.4 %

top 100 wallets = 48.20 %

today on coinmarketcap Asiacoin has rank 101 with price 187 sat

with roughly same price Asiacoin had rank 115 to 135 last months

most likely altcoins ranked 90 to 130 are crashing

some examples of low ranks and small prices of sometime good and strong coins - all of these coins had huge promotion and discussion on bitcointalk, twitter and elsewhere :

interesting case is Whitecoin XWC.
launched roughly same time as Asiacoin.
Always had many times bigger community and many more projects.
Always 10 to 20 activists designated as staff, foundation and so on.
XWC main thread on Bitcointalk today is 642 pages. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568517.12820 and very active
another self-moderated thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=804288.0 - 30 pages
possibly more thick threads
despite all this work XWC is still slipping down?

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: September 22, 2015, 08:11:30 AM
Right on thats fantastic  Grin

I was going to make a tweet lol I still will but I noticed the asiacoin twitter hasn't been used in close to a year, is the person who runs that account still around?

OrIn's twitter is not only not used since these times

but he also actively refused to post links to working wallets in April this year and later

strangely, his Asiacoin wallet also stopped staking many months ago

similar story for the OrIn's website

Actually, there would be quite lot of work to bring Asiacoin to normal working status:
-a Bitcointalk thread with working links in OP
-a website
-twitter and other media
and so on

edit:

in Singapore at same place or few blacks away from OrIn started some strange site asiaformula
which is making some strange noise on twitter

not sure if this is serious

at this moment asiaformula seems as FUD directed against Asiacoin

edit 2 :

to make any meaningful progress Asiacoin would need even more work:

-native Asian speakers/writers ( of course most important is mainland chinese - which is quite different from Cantonese in Singapore )

-sites in Asian languages

-development program

-marketing project

-introduce Asiacoin on Asian exchanges
-unfortunately , BTER is faltering, BTER volume is sinking and still not willing to repair Asiacoin wallet

MAYBE SOMEONE HERE HAS ANY IDEA HOW TO PRESS BTER TO REPAIR ASIACOIN WALLET ?

-get officially recognized as some kind of existing project in some Asian country or Asian region ( OrIn said in PM months ago he believes he cannot do it in Singapore )

and so on

Android Wallet released

https://github.com/AsiaCoin/AsiaCoinFix/releases/tag/2.2.1

Based on Asiacoin v2.2.1

Should be integrated to Coinomi within few weeks at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinomi.wallet .
Of course, this Asiacoin android wallet can run independently of Coinomi multiwallet - just need to install from .apk file released.
Disclaimer: as Asiacoin Windows clients are always very thoroughly tested, all software and registry calls of Windows wallets are registered and monitored - we do not have enough resources to analyse thoroughly Android software.
Android OS has reputation of being less secure than Windows.
Please to use this Android wallet with reasonable caution.

TRANSACTIONS FROM OLD WALLETS WILL NO LONGER WORK -
CRITICAL UPDATE 2.2.1

It is very important ALL wallets are upgraded

Download the new Asiacon wallet - http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/

Please let us know if you have any troubles or questions with your upgrade.
More exciting news and updates coming for Asiacoin very shortly.
Android wallet ( based on 2.2.1 version ) will be issued very shortly

#### UPGRADING PROCEDURE ####

Step 1.
BACKUP YOUR WALLET. Please make sure you properly backup your wallet first in case anything goes wrong. Save a backup of your wallet.dat file in a secure location.

Step 2.
Download the NEW wallet.

Windows QT
http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/asiacoin-qt.exe/download

Linux32 QT
http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/AsiacoinLinux32.tar.gz/download

Linux64 QT:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/AsiacoinLinux64.tar.gz/download

Mac QT
http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/AsiaCoin-Qt.dmg/download

Step 3.
Upgrading will require a chain resync for ALL wallets. 2.2.1 has a different database (LevelDB instead of BerkeleyDB). To ease, we will publish new blockchain shortly to get up and running faster with the new wallet.
You are not required to use the blockchain, you can simply let the new wallet sync up.

Step 4.
Close your current Asiacoin application if it's running.

Step 5.
Go to the Asiacoin App Data folder.

For Windows: C:/users/YOUR_USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/Asiacoin

For Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Asiacoin

Delete everything in there EXCEPT for your wallet.dat file
If using the blockchain, unpack blockchain in that folder as well.

Step 6.
Copy the new Asiacoin 2.2.1 Wallet to Asiacoin folder

Step 7.
Open the new Asiacoin wallet, it should be syncing up to the network now. Wait until wallet syncs and you are ready to go.

#### END OF UPGRADING PROCEDURE ####
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: September 03, 2015, 11:16:40 AM
it is quite important that all users of Asiacoin will upgrade to new version 2.2.1 as soon as possible

as for now - acceptance of new wallets is quite slow - at this moment Asiacoin explorer shows only 74% of new 2.2.1 wallets
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ac/#!network

important remarks as to Asiacoin hard fork on block 750.000 - limiting Max Stake Age to 75 days
1.as it has been written on this thread - no Hi-Stake coin ( only Asiacoin ) has unlimited MaxStakeAge
2.limiting Max StakeAge is critical for any chance of Asiacoin of revival or any price action
3.as for this moment - over 23% of Asiacoin holders are shown as inactive on the explorer
we remember this year spring pumping season : most notably pumped coin was Vertcoin VTC pumped from under 5.000 sat to over 100.000 sat
actually - no pump team ever would even try to pump Asiacoin if some dormant users can immediately stake 25% more of Asiacoin and easily dump on pumpers
In present form ( with unlimited stake age ( 10 years is as good as unlimited ) Asiacoin is destined for oblivion
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: September 03, 2015, 07:44:56 AM
I installed the newe wallet and it does start faster, and I actually have peers and current connections. Problem is. All my coins are gone. Any help appreciated.

Scrap'

i have been testing 2.2.1 on my wallet since over a month, no problems.
as to your wallet - coins still show after launching again old wallet ( before 2.1.1 version ? )
this would be critical test for your headache
pls try asap

Started old wallet and yes it shows 700,000 ac, but no peers, no connections.

As to Cryptsy, no reaction whatsoever after receiving new very fast wallets quite a time ago

earlier in this thread Mullick complained that old Asiacoin wallet starts way too slow:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.msg11761152#msg11761152

I have been meaning to give asiacoin another go. My last attempt the wallet just consumed resources. Stopped responding to rpc calls and I had to kill the pid
Ill give it another shot tomorrow night

new Asiacoin wallet is really very fast - and no reaction from Cryptsy?

We managed to make major improvement of Asiacoin code - LevelDB
Now Asiacoin wallets starts really fast even with large database, usually below 30 seconds
After 2 weeks of testing now we publish new wallets
New features:
1.Major improvement - Asiacoin wallets starts in less than a minute even with large database
2.MaxStakeAge 75 days. Earlier on this thread has been shown - no hi-stake coins has unlimited
staking age ( as Asiacoin had 10 years - eternity in crypto )
3.update of nodes
4.new alert key ( instead of Micryon alert key - unknown to anyone )

MANDATORY HARD FORK AT BLOCK 750.000

More explanation:
1.as to our knowledge, at least 78% of all Asiacoin holders - that is all active users of Asiacoin - would use new wallets
2.that would mean at least 78% of all Asiacoin network would be in the new fork
3.if someone who never stakes, never reads Asiacoin thread, does not cares at all for Asiacoin - would try to use old wallets
after block 750.000 - at best this would result in a minority hard fork, which would be not accepted by exchanges and not
accepted by all new wallets. Most likely he would be not able to stake at all with old wallet.

All releases : as usual - on sourceforge.net :
https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/

Price increases, Bter and Cryptsy wallets not work and are unlikely to fix them, this is irritating.
What's up with update OP?

I have been meaning to give asiacoin another go. My last attempt the wallet just consumed resources. Stopped responding to rpc calls and I had to kill the pid

Ill give it another shot tomorrow night

Asiacoin wallet always ( starting from Micryon wallet 2.0.0 May, 2014 and before ) had slow start :
- up to 15 minutes asiacoin-qt is not opening GUI and asiacoin-qt looks as not-responding application.
-Nobody ever complained for this in this thread, so we did not concentrate on this task
-only when making fresh start from scratch with no blockchain loaded - then asiacoin-qt starts in few seconds

bitcoin incoming hard forks

1.hard fork increasing block size

nearly agreed to increase block size from 1 MB to 8 MB

everybody knows

2.possible another hard fork increasing Bitcoin supply

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1094419.0;all

in this discussion Matonis claims hard fork increasing Bitcoin supply upward from sacred number 21 million

this will kill Bitcoin price. it is how they want to make money : by shorting Bitcoin

as already made fortunes by shorting Bitcoin from 1000 USD

Dude, what the hell are you posting? Do you even read articles, or understand crypto? LOL

Scrapp Out'

Hi Scrappy Do

only on Saturday have some time to reply to slightly insulting remark

actually looked into your posts

it turns out : you are a unique person whose acts or recommendations are always wrong,

your failure rate is amazing 100%

first time in my life meet someone who is always and 100% wrong

my congrats

some precious examples:

1.Scrappy Do : selling tens of millions of Dogecoins at absolute alltime bottom of 18 satoshi : December 13:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369624.msg3954570#msg3954570
few weeks later Dogecoin had huge volume at 70 sats then peaked at over 300 satoshi early February
if you could hold Doge little longer, you could make a huge profit instead of loss on your GPU miners

Scrappy Do : admits losing on something ( was it a mining hardware ? )
Sadly I have to agree... Cryptoave shares for sale! PM me with offers! Baritus, as much as it kills me to say it... you fucked us. I believed in you, even sold it to investors. Now I look like a jackass. You cannot even fully explain the situation. Bad Move. I'll eat this loss and take care of the people that invested in me and chalk it up to bad moves, but sadly... I believed in you. YOU FUCKED ME.

Asiacoin thread
Asiacoin price levels at this day : around 250 satoshi
June 06, 2014
Scrappy Do says : This coin is seriously undervalued
but : Asiacoin never anymore later reached this price again
bottomed at September, 22 at under 40 satoshi

8.Admire it : actually, you are good at insults:
Hi ORiN. Nice of you to jouin the convo. I appreciate you being such an ass, and in fact did read. I think what this coin needs in strength, not asshats.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.msg6605350#msg6605350

9.Actually: on some post you disclose your name and shipping address (a town with 2304 residents, Arkansas): was it intentional?
if not, my advice : try do delete this address
somehow it goes against Bitcointalk spirit
