I don't disagree with anything in the book. Thank the flying spaghetti monster I don't live in your fucked up country.

So...with DRK and XMR which one is Betamax and which one is VHS? Tongue

Beta was supposed to be the superior technology, right(XMR?)? But VHS had the network effect and user base(DRK?)?

I don't know regarding crypto, but beta is superior to vhs. I had some family go vhs, some beta. I remember rental stores having an equal volume for both. Beta was used professionally for years after vhs took over the home market.

Tech doesn't matter, perception matters. We still use internal combustion engines. Almost 200 year old tech.

I believe there might have been a phenomena like the bigbang as was created by God. something that big couldn't have created itself

Why?

Because you can't think of something isn't an answer.

With a marketcap of 330K USD Shadowcash seems out of place. It doesn't from that perspective appear to put it in the same league as the other two.

As if MarketCap really means something in tech...

So sure?

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DarkCoin Instamine Scam on: March 12, 2015, 04:12:15 PM
I'd not invest a satoshi in DRK unless I would know exact time of the final dump.

What was dark coins value in the first 48hr window?

What is 2*10^6 * 0?

This is your argument, reconsider it.

Main assumption of insta-/premine is that coin will reach any value in near future.

2*10^6 * 0 = 0

50  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Parent Calls 911 When School Will Not Release Child. Refusal To Take Common Core on: March 12, 2015, 04:12:08 AM
I dont understand whats the big fuss about, couldnt the mother just wait for the testing  to be over and then take her child ?

The point being she didn't want her kid taking the test.  Standardized testing is a joke, I wish more parents would opt their kids out of it.

The picture was a poor example. I've seen some crazy common core methods I disagree with, but what was wrong with this? Do the addition and then make an estimate to see if the answer is reasonable. I suspect the picture is being misrepresented as the students estimate being good enough for an answer.

I use the procedure all the time when deriving equations. Solve the equation and run test cases, (0, infinity, etc), to see if its reasonable. If the mass of the  object comes out to 10^30, there's a mistake. This is the same as using 3 for pi for mental estimates. Its close enough.

Can you link an image of the test the kid was doing in that story? I'll update the first post. If not then that image is good enough.

Good enough for what? Not making your point. There are countless poor examples online,

If you argument is common core is bad, which I agree with partially, then I'm doing you a favour.

If your argument is the child not being released from school, that has nothing to do with math.
51  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canada? Police Can Force You to Show Them Everything You Have on Your Phone on: March 12, 2015, 04:05:23 AM
Fix the title, this is CBSA, border security, not police or the RCMP.

Police need a warrant to search your phone if it is locked after you've been arrested. If your phone is not locked, they don't need a warrant, after you've been arrested.
52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit’s science forum banned climate deniers. on: March 10, 2015, 08:57:10 PM
If you denied that people who don't believe in god, for example, should participate in a discussion about what god is like, wouldn't that make sense?

I'm just saying that if you don't believe in science then maybe you shouldn't be participating in a scientific discussion.

Everybody who doubted einstein's theory for years and years, until the eclipse of 1919 as fact, where not scientists and should have kept their collective mouth shut?

Ohh the irony! Using the scientific method to prove science is wrong. You are most certainly confused.

Relativity is a correcting factor for Newtonian mechanics, it did not replace it. It simply adjusted for the very large and very fast.

Notice how the curves overlap at lower v < 0.2C?

Next time be informed with your rhetoric.

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DRK] Darkcoin is NOT Anonymous? Possible Proof inside. on: March 07, 2015, 01:59:01 AM
I submit that the developement team of a coin is quite an important factor to consider when deciding whether to make an investment. Kiss

Interestingly, our development team includes seven core team members and several other developers and important contributors.

There have been many individuals that have contributed to Monero code; a complete list of which can be found on our Github Contributors page.

Some that have made outstanding contributions include: Thomas Winget, mikezackles, oranjuice, warptangent, rfree, moneromooo, jakoblind, and tomerkon.

So you probably shouldn't judge a team or the work on the basis of your opinion of some of our posts. In fact if you are basing your opinion of the team on the relative few of us who do post on bitcointalk at all you are probably getting a very misleading perception (for better or worse) since most do not.

But as I said you should make up your own mind about which coin(s) to support if any. I can't say that your own criteria are incorrect.

Shouldn't you turds be building a release that doesn't brick my laptop every time i try to open it? You spend a lot of time bitching and not working.

Caffeine is for light weights.

Nicotine works well, in gum form, but the effect is only 3-4 hours and its expensive. Ephedra also, if you can find natural ma-huang herb, but i haven't seen it for years, like a decade. Ephedrine HCl is readily available, not pseuodoephedrine. Cycle these 3 as they work via different pathways.

Non-stimulation method.

choline bitartrate. increases neurotransmitter acetylcholine
http://purebulk.com/choline-bitartrate-powder/

I have 10 lbs of, take 1-3 grams, start small, it kicks in about 60 seconds, full effect in 2 hours. If you take too much it makes you sleepy for a bit, homoeostasis.

Also extremely lucid dreams, potency wears off after a couple months, and you'll need some time off.

Darn, didn't realize your link would show me his posts as well. Not interested in the negativity so won't be looking at that again. It is too bad the moderators don't get rid of people like that. Even if he created account after account, he would eventually get bored and go away.

PS: I updated my forum profile. Maybe some will see this and block him sooner than later. Don't know, don't much care.

Sadly, that person is not very bright. He keeps talking about making more money selling my power over using it. Yet, I've said several times that I am looking for something interesting and worthwhile to devote my resources to, especially if it is something which is anti-monopoly. You would think that would be a positive thing but I know in life there are always the weird doubting types.

I am happy in my life, I have what I need so when I can, I look for things I can get involved in which will make me feel that I am doing some good. Sure, I'd love to cover my costs, mainly because that is the smart thing to do, so that I can continue justifying what ever I get involved in.

Not everything in life is specifically about making money.

Bitcointalk attacts some of the worst people. Its an interesting experiment in the worst human instincts.

I didn't see the price you receive selling power back to the grid, maybe I missed it. Some simple math shows if you get less than 13 cents kw/h then you'll make more mining. Not to mention future appreciation. I would probably mine with gpus.

I would say since price soars in 2013, it attacted all kind of idiots in the human kind.

Case in point: see the second bolded part above.

Yes, i would definitely mine bitcoin with gpu's. If i were to suggest mining anything else, it would be considered off topic, correct? Read between the lines, genius.

This is the bitcoin mining forum, not altcoins.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Script asic miners - Fully liquid cooled 175Mh/s+ rig. on: March 05, 2015, 04:53:00 AM

Wow - I'm sensing a trend on this forum.  A lot of the Senior Folks seem quite bitter in general.

Ok right right -- I know..

1.  BTC is not at a $1k

2.  And yes ASICs killed the whole mining movement

3.  And yes we've all been scammed by some hardware company at one time or another

4.  And yes some of us fell for ponzi cloud mining and got scammed

But despite all of this -- take some happy pills or refrain from responding to everything in a negative way.  This whole forum is just full of negativity and just a bunch of rude people.  A bunch of sour and bitter people.

You can say you'll now "ignore me" or that I'm "spreading FUD" or that "I'm trolling" or whatever weird term you want to use -- but try not to shoot down everything.

Yes - I'm sure there are a lot of scams out there and everyone by now should know not to send money to some unknown company (without protections) -- but maybe maybe there are still some good ideas and potential companies out there.

Yes - I know this company has a good chance of being a scam (especially since they are not willing to send some senior person on here a unit for free - to keep), but there is a slight chance that maybe it is just a group of people trying to create a new product.  Time will tell.

I guess on here you are guilty until proven innocent.  LOL

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is too complex for the average person on: March 02, 2015, 08:38:25 PM
Owning bitcoin is not complex. Spending and protecting them takes time to learn.

I don't think it's that difficult. If people can online bank then they should be able to use blockchain.info.

I truly believe bitcoin is too complex for the average shopper right now. We need a secure contact-less medium, similar to a credit card, to bring high street shoppers interested in bitcoin. Changing people's daily habits is difficult. I am fine with bitcoin staying off the high streets and focus on cross-border "internet" payment system. This is the real strength of bitcoin.

What makes you think these things wont come? I'm sure there will be all sorts of wallet apps to do things like contactless payments and have advanced security features (finger print scanning etc).

Blockchain.info has a problem. New people hear of the blockchain and they think Blockchain.info is THE site to go to. (Doesn't help how much it was featured on CNN's Inside Man episode).

Blockchain.info was hacked. It's not that safe, but if Bitcoin became mainstream tomorrow, Blockchain.info would have a TON of new wallets created. Think of that, while reading this: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2ohnb8/how_i_lost_15_btc_on_blockchaininfo_without_my/

Blockchain.info will look like it's the best online wallet for a newcomer, but it has many problems, and should not be suggested to those new to Bitcoin to put all of their money into it.

You have a source for any hacks? This looks like a technical problem, and while blockchain's fault, it doesn't qualify as a third party intrusion.
