What about a realtime technique, where the swap process occurs transparently to the end-user.. the funds from the old wallet are sent to a burn address and every X number of minutes a poll can request to swap out funds from a specific burn address and change to the new coin and forwarded over to the end-user who instigated the transaction..

What if the coin supply has changed in the new coin which is to be swapped.. OR even decreased supply??
What if you have conflicts on the blockchain..
What if you cannot scrape all the addresses form the BE/BC??
What if end-users don't wish to swap their coins.. stupid i know but what if?? Therefore will it be mandatory swap or voluntary swap process..
What if the algo has changed in the new coin which is being swapped
What if the coin to be swapped has enabled PoW OR simply disable PoS

To have such a hard stance and cynical view on the methods employed by a development team is to harsh.. I can understand many, many people have been burned in the crypto game. But what about that 1/100 genuine developer/coin project which is attacked (maybe by you) even when trying to do something for the best of intentions/reasons to help its community..

personally I don't not think its fair to tar the same brush as the other malicious developers who use cryptos as a scam with those who try to do good things for crytpos and actually believe in what cryptos stands for. Just because they did not adhere to these guidelines above!

Just a suggestions:-
A retro-active follow up maybe a good course of action..
After the swap has ended then follow up with your questions to see if they comply.
BUT first make sure they know what it is they have to comply with before calling SCAM!!!.
Give them time to fix any problems and then allow them to justify legitimate discrepancy and leave it upto the community to decide.
Maybe compile a table showing swap data maybe create a service around it.
kind of like what CryptoAsian has done for Proof of developer (http://proofofdev.com) except use swap data and award a points system.

Im curious whether you would consider buying a coin which has had a small element of manual coin-swapping activity (10% +/-) applied to the coin AFTER an automated swap which reached about (90% +/-) of the total coin supply.?

Take AERO which swapped over to AM (AeroME) In this particular issue most of the coins were taken offline and burned by the Exchange.. as I said approximitly 90+% of the coin supply.
However there is a small portion of users whom were unable to meet the swap date for various reasons and as such were offered a Manual coinswap which happened after the automated swap process. Even these manual swapped coins were also burned. Reason for the manual step was to ensure the swap reached and penitrated with the maximum covrage.

So by using a combination of both Automated/manual swaps (primarily focused on automated swap) does your comment (above) still stand based on the details specified above?

Like I said I'm just curious and interested to find out if indeed there is a case to made to get some kind of "standard" formed and agreed to community wide. A standard consensus on coin-swaps "good-practices" for all alts?

We also realized that It may not be possible to collect the complete total coin supply due to breakages.
As a example of what i mean by breakage coins lost from missing privkeys or coins sent to incorrect accounts, or just human error, etc, etc

This is why we considered a second *MANUAL* swap offering to allow those who had genuine reasons why then missed the official automated swap phase..

Idol Yes, you bring up a very valid point.. AeroME Coin/Platform is not just a one-hit wonder..
Its a constantly evolving project, This is something which I plan working solely on for the foreseeable future. No side projects just AME-X and AM.
You will see its a system which grows in time changing to meet the changing needs of its target audience.
As new ways of working with blockchain technologies evolve and develop so will the platform and services which make up AME-X.
I plan on getting this version of AME-X out and getting straight back to planning the next features to add/release, etc. without missing a beat!

Regarding the whole idea about price points that's something I try to leave to the markets.
I can only put out my work and leave the price stuff to the community.
I remain impartial (as best I can) but i do get pretty pissed seeing bots skewing the order books.

On another note about "AM" Logos. Lots of stuff has been done.. to much to note here but in a nutshell:-

More Nodes are almost done/ready for a second batch of DNSSEED nodes to power the platform BC.
NGINX reverse-proxys which will be passing requests and sending responses onto the node server(s) have been setup..
Redis caching layer configured on staging servers and have nice setup working and is blazing fast!
I have finalized the "hardening" of 3 forward facing servers, which match that of the ones already in service. So, im happy they are pretty secure.
I will have this looked at in more depth by some pro's asap before live tests begin and also during test phase.
Maybe more changes need to be made to ensure its all patched up and secure according to latest security threats, which i am not up to speed on as much as I like to be these days, threats change so fast in the security world.
So, I will do what i can but I also have a discussion with some of my old friends and seek advise. Check we are in accordance with OWSAP spec. and do some vuln. testing / analysis.

We have a good distribution of well placed .EU/.US servers to run the blockchain and both the platform and supporting services..

Frontend stuff is being done over the next couple of days and as soon as i wired up the API we good to begin live tests.

Without sounding over excited I'm quietly confidant we will start seeing support type services for the platform popping up can coming online shortly.

There maybe gremlins in the system so please don't push me for a solid release date/time I still have a bit left to do..

I can no longer guarantee the validity of the AERO Blockchain nor the AERO market and have withdrawn official support for the AERO codebase (They use at their own risk)

At the moment, as I am the sole dev for AERO/AM projects I cannot support both coin projects and platform project(s) in parallel, both in terms of technical work required for security and maintenance
or financially via node costs and running costs or other promotional costs, etc which may apply.

The objective was and still remains to convert *ALL* AERO holders over to the new AM coin. This was a vast success considering how well distributed AERO was.

I will look into "and" follow up with Cryptsy directly regarding some kind of arrangements which can be made to take the market offline without damaging the holder of AERO on cryptsy.

Without me sounding like i'm bashing cryptsy, their support ticket system/service is terribly slow.

Please keep in mind, I have said this from the very beginning my intentions are based around the needs of the community first and foremost.
Ample opportunity was in place for AERO > AM coin swaps, myself and others done our best to get this message out to everyone.
 
With this being said I cannot control every aspect about who can do what and where, as this is an open system based and built on top of open standards. This is the main selling point of cryptos in general.
 
But I will not be able to support AERO any longer in its current form.. (meaning: focus is all on AM/AM_Platform now)

I will not condone community members from trading on the Cryptsy AERO market nor, will i offer any swaps as its past the "official" cut off date.

The only thing I can say is to wait for cryptsy Technical support team to get back to me.
I cannot promise what the outcome of this dialogue will be just yet OR what arrangements will be put in place to secure a complete transition from AERO > AM on cryptsy exchange.

This does not mean there could not be another swap at a later date at an adjusted ratio if this is even possible.
But again I will keep an open mind on all solutions which is fair not just for those who managed to follow the guidelines reached the swap dates during the coin-swap phase but also to the AM community in general,
those of us who already hold AM. ANY decisions will be brought to the community where a consensus will be reached on whatever solutions proposed..

So I ask to please help make my life easier by not buying any AERO and focus on AM only, its only a matter of time now until the AERO network is brought down/offline and done so in a honest and fair way.

I have to wait for cryptsy to get back to me and we will *all* take it from there.

One of the most important factors to a successful coin/project is the community aspect.. We have that! That in itself is a huge marketing angle.

But, the story about
how the Developer listened to the AERO community better judgement and survived a failed IPO.
How AM was born from the AERO ashes after a successful coin swap process.. These are "community" marketing angles
How the developer managed to carry out multiple manual coin-swaps on top of his normal workload.. now thats a story
How Community member now have a say on how their community fund is used to better a project.. that's a angle..
How the AeroME Platform is being put together "live" in the real worlds.. that's a story..
How Bittrex exchange team and the dev helped to execute a coin-swap and helped to keep the AM network "up" and running over Xmas period.. in the face of multiple problems now that's a story..
How the developer maintained the network when the worlds was falling apart around him.. now that's a story..
How AERO/AM is in the process of having a blog post of one of the most promising Alts for 2015 in the making.. now thats a story!

So, there is plenty to be creative about purely in news terms around this swap process alone!


How so? Just reporting alone on the information surrounding the swap is promotion.. Admittedly not the news people want to read or particularly hear about.
But this is the thing about PR.. there should be a constant stream/barrage of news/info.

I assume for AM price stabilization, as if you meant "endless funds" for dev work I have no intentions nor, expect endless funds.
I am extremely grateful and humbled at the 600k AM dev fund to wit has not 1 AM has been touched Out of the possible 1Mil AM kindly offered by the community.

£260 has come from my own pocket just the other day plus with another £110-150 costs expected later this week when the Mongo DB VPS  and the Heruku VPS come online.

I am glad you also can see why i dont give dates not just out of price fairness but truth be told the sheer complexity of this project timelines are easily missed and I DO NOT want to alienate the community even further towards myself due to missing a timeline.

This is the exact reason why I don't expect anyone to hold vol. but more so on what you believe in me and also in the project as a whole!
But the point I was trying to make was simply..

I believe we have enough between us and what it takes to make sure the market can be kept up and not delisted. 0.2 btc 7-day average is not that much.

BTW We are not talking months away here.. Would I have spent that cash just the other day if i thought it were months down the line until its ready??
 
Professional servers,  Enterprise hosting infrastructure doesn't come cheap (not for my/our requirements anyway!) and is paid on a per monthly basis however economy of scales means paying bi-annually makes for the best cost Vs. return on the packages.. 

So, based on that info I think that you can work out a rough time line from that statement alone. If i thought it was months away I would have waited another month (or longer) before paying for the service rental.
--We are so very close and now that I have the majority of manual coin swaps done I can focus on getting this project deployed.!

Believe me I understand and can see how this proves a difficulty proposition for you and others involved.

We have had our chats in the past, I think you have a fairly good idea of what i can and cant do very well.. lol, you know im a shit gfx guy but code.. Coding is what i do, its what i live and breath.

I have began build up a Advertisement budget most of which were freebies from the hosting packages and services which i purchased.
I will lease with the community to discuss where this will be best spent
So, when the time is right I will "activate" these freebies but I will also start to set aside some additional funds for a regular advertisement budget

Regarding Bittrex and delisting etc.
They are running a business. 0.2btc is not exactly breaking the bank its up to us (myself included) to help make things happen.

I have just invested a chunk of change into aeromeplatform.com hosting and infrastructure for the platform.

Its happening like it or not. You know me i just do things, so your either in it now (whilst its really cheap) or invest later if you feel this project is for you at inflated prices!

So, fair warning to those not yet holding AM. I dont want to come across as being big headed etc but this project was/is a long time in the making. 

When i get a moment free to give you guys updates, pretty screenshots, working demo, etc etc. until then, know i am FLAT OUT busy on this. none stop.

This coin swap business has been keeping me very busy atm. Its nearly over soon and then I can get back to work on deploying AME platform.
