This is the reason why Ethereum, Cardano and many other smart contracts will have an advantage over Solana which will cause future FUD sell off. Solana needs the 80% validators to keep the network working at it's best.

Keep investing. You're going to look like a genius 10 years from now. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Solana had a DDoS attack on it's network and was down for hours. That's the weakness. If it FUDs in the future that's the reason.

When China FUDs that's when it's the best time to buy Bitcoin. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

We all agree Bitcoin and Ethereum are the safest investments. Besides these coins the safest crypto with proof of stake smart contracts are Cardano, Polkadot, Solana and Tron. These are in competition with Ethereum. I also like the Terra stablecoin which is similar to Tether.

If you online gambled away $1,000 worth of Bitcoin today is actually $1,000,000 worth of Bitcoin 20 years from now. You basically gambled away one million dollars worth of Bitcoin based on the crypto markets 20 years from now.

Never leave your password on your laptop or online server. I keep my passwords on two portable flash disks in case one fails. Which is the safest possible option. Clean your PC of malware and avoid fake websites that looks like the original website that steals your Metamask.

Litecoin's 84 million coins with 2.5 minute block time vs Bitcoin's 21 million coins with 10 minute block time. Bitcoin is an asset but struggles as a currency while Litecoin is an asset and a better currency because of Litecoin's faster transaction time with lower transaction fees.

Back in 2017, the topic of stablecoins like Tether completely crashing to $0. Is Tether still safe to hold your funds on?

Maybe it's gonna be cardano, it's growing very fast, but polkadot also can become the next Ethereum, since ethereal is just 2nd coin the market cap isn't that too far and there is possibility for it to be overtaken by other coins but the coins below ETH also keep changing its position so much. It's 3 candidates, BNB, Cardano, or Polkadot, I think these three the only coins that have potential to replace ETH in the future.
I agree. These are the only 3 that can compete with Ethereum.

Like in every Investment i would diversify. 400 BTC, 400 ETH, 100 LTC, 50 XRP, 50 ADA, 50 extra DOT. That will spread your Investment in Crypto. But then again that is not enough diversification. I would get a good mix of Gold, Silver, Shares, one good diversified ETF and real Estate if possible or when possible.
I like this diverse portfolio. These are the safest long term investments. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I believe in the long term success of Bitcoin that I want to hold 90% in crypto then sell when I reach 50 to 60 years old.

The 2017 panic sell that most of us experienced was my worst experience. But I have since learned from it and now holding Bitcoin. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

The best long term investment strategy: Keep investing your money on Bitcoin then sell when you are 50 years old to 60 years old. You're welcome. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Can you guarantee someone's age to 60 years? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) , and are you sure that when we reach 60 years the price of Bitcoin is much higher than the current price? If yes, what if before we reach 60 years old, we suddenly experience a disaster that requires us to give up all the investments we have? solution please. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) The opposite of Fear is Courage. If you have the Courage to save money for your retirement at 60 years old or Fear the unknown before you reach 60 years old. No need to Fear Bitcoin because of Bitcoin's secure network.

Of course Bitcoin will be dominate. I'm just saying the marginal chance of Litecoin and Cardano out performing Bitcoin as a currency is when billionaires like Elon Musk and Michael Saylor decided to switch from Bitcoin to Litecoin as an example. This would create the marginal chance for Litecoin to flip Bitcoin. Social media influence has power over the market.
