41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Surge of Legitimate, Open and Public Projects - NobleNXT Leading the Way on: December 29, 2014, 12:33:31 PM
Since December of 2013, we have seen piles of cheap scammers, pump/dumpers, fraudulent exchanges, and myriad of fake cryptocurrencies that destroyed trust in the community.

No more.

I would like to say we can find gems in the sand if you look for them. For one, Rofo (aka Jason L. Curby, developer and leader of Noblecoin) has been an honest, open developer who disclosed his identity and worked as a professional in a scene full of anonymous shadows that seem to disappear and reappear under different names for their next schemes.

Mr. Curby's twitter/linkedin/personal financial disclosures Shocked/business number in Australia:

Twitter: https://twitter.com/NobleCoin

LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/jason-curby/27/9b8/994

Australia Business Number: http://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbn.aspx?abn=92119945303

Personal Financial Disclosures: https://www.noblemovement.com/public-ledger/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402667.msg9250285#msg9250285

Yes, personal financial disclosures. I suppose you can always ring up his cell phone and ask over the phone about any questions you have (note the number on the NOXT flier): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all

From my point of view, this scene desperately needs a REAL, MOTIVATED people who can approach these things with necessary professionalism and serious devotion that Mr. Curby has shown throughout the whole of past year (he was essentially paying out of his own pocket for maintaining marketplace, Noblcoin itself, and others).

His most recent project, NobleNXT (NOXT), is just another testament to his professional approach to this idea. ANN here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all

Over half of it has been sold already though NXT and BTC on poloniex and secureae.

Whitepaper itself is over 100+ pages long Shocked encompassing understanding, planning, and vision that reaches out to realistic plans for coming (some already arrived) wave of regulations, demand for legitimacy, and official PUBLIC business approach to the potential of cryptocurrency. Legitimacy, legal issues, financial backing and proper crowdfunding along with working side by side with established financial/regulatory bodies is one of its chief goals from what I can tell - he has recently traveled to Canberra, Australia (capital of AUS) to discuss setting up think tanks for cryptocurrency itself and essentially taking a very realistic, viable approach to fighting the adoption/influence battles that honestly not many are willing to do so in person.

All feedbacks/questions and attention should be directed to Mr. Curby (Rofo). Let this thread be a public one to bring attention to this project and discuss the its merits. With so many threads out in alternative currency section discussing respective projects, there is little reason why one such thread for this professional project shouldn't exist.

Let the discussions begin Smiley

2.0 platforms are making waves (or ripples if you may). This is a good start to 2015 and is a sign of things to come.

I have high expectations from Rofo, and still he manages to positively surprise me again!

From the road map, we can expect great things. We are already ahead of schedule i see.

I don't get it?

same marketing, similar project with different coin name, same dev?what the difference between these two coins?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402667.0

Parano, I will paste the answer I gave to a similar question such as yours on noble thread:

Here is what I understand:

Noble is a scrypt based decentralized cryptocurrency similar to litecoin in origin, developed in January 2014 by Jason L. Curby (Rofo).

NOXT (once again developed by Rofo) is a crowdfunded asset colored coin that is still in the crowdfunding phase, using the 2.0 platform specifically branded and made for business purposes. Its crowdfund marketcap is very low and affordable, so it's a good chance to invest early as a long term investment.

whats the difference between NOBL and NOXT? which one is best to buy?

At the moment, I believe NOXT is the best option for purchase - you can buy them with nxt on secureae (https://trade.secureae.com/#6780060819348751348) OR buy with BTC on poloniex here: https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_noxt

I highly encourage you to check out the NOXT ANN that contains answers to most of your questions:

Once again, I highly recommend purchasing NOXT and holding onto it. Ripple is a good example of how long term thinking and early purchases can be to your benefit in the long run. Think of this as a good opportunity for the future.

Awesome progress, glad to see NOXT picking up!

My thoughts exactly Smiley

I am expecting some buys will come in fast and hard during the last few days. People are watching Cheesy

Project sounds like a winner but, being an old Noble holder, I have a question or two:

What is the ultimate goal for the Noble coin?

What is your time frame for reaching the above goal?

Do you see any significant increase in Noble value from this endeavor?

Please excuse me, I'm sure this is all spelled out somewhere but, I have very limited time in the threads these days.

NOXT funding helps to build up an infrastructure for NOBL.
Also there will be a NOBL burning. Cutting the supply of NOBL will probably bring an increased value with it.

The time frame is from dec. - march 2015. you can find roadmap on OP.

Thank you. Found some time to read it today, I must say I'm impressed, nice work...

Great read all. Can't wait to read the rest.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOXT] - NobleNXT Proposal/Whitepaper - Noble's 1st Colored Coin on: December 20, 2014, 06:44:29 AM
This is the best thought out and professional example of crypocurrency that I have seen. I do not see how NOXT and the original Noblecoin will not soar from this. The growth and exposure that has been realized as of late is astonishing.

Thanks mate. Still a while to go, but yes it's helping immensely not just from funds. I think people are used to the mega-1000s ICO's (many of which it comes to light are fake) and so think our progress so far has been a failure. I couldn't be happier at the moment as I already have enough to start a lot and deliver everything already outlined.

should we start a twitter promotion or something like that to reach out for more investors in the next week?

would be good to see some more new faces in here. there are a lot of NOXT available to be bought.

the article on BTC Germany gets a lot of klicks in the last days. probably there come some more investors...

Yes definitely. I'm talking to a lot of people behind the scenes and I think a lot are just happy to wait until the end (no reason to get in early). Still I'm cautious and want to be sure we hit it off as we reach the deadline. We should discuss and I'll reach out to other news sites also. Smiley

The issue being that most ico's try to hype, shill and market themselves as profit makers in less than a month. NOXT is doing it right- and I applaud this professional approach.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - Redefining 2015 - Colored Coin 'Fuel' [NOXT/NOCC] on: December 20, 2014, 06:43:21 AM
so the total coin supply will be 2 000 000 000 NOBL after burning?

great to see we reached 100 BTC Smiley

Yeah, but atm NobleCoin is still mineable, and the supply per day hasn't diminished yet.
PoW NOBL has now about 100% projected inflation for the next year (only theoretically: expected supply is 2.628 mln coins in the next 365 days if nothing changes), so we better switch to PoS ASAP, yeah the unniversary would be a perfect occasion Smiley

thank you Smiley

Edit: definitely! PoS would be a great present for birthday Cheesy

Good progress on POS. Thank you for your hard work Smiley

Paper updates today being rolled out - first part below, second part (6-10) this afternoon.

Thank you for your patience. This has been a lot of work, feedback and thought between multiple parties. There is still work, additions and proofreading to be done. I am committed to this project and do sometimes feel rushed (as well as underestimate time-frames and how much discussion/work I like to get into things beforehand), but I want information and a game-plan that will build a foundation for years. It will constantly evolve.

I do not expect everyone to read everything and that is perfectly understandable. This is information for those inclined for longer readings, and is more suited for the people I would like to work with and target outside of bitcointalk (alongside the business plan we are also writing up). Thank you again.

Noble: Corporate Colored Coins
Applying Blockchain Technology to Traditional Business Structures as an Experimental Step towards Distributed Autonomous Corporations (DACs)

1-5: Introduction, Distribution, Platform Agnosticism, Utility, Exclusivity

This is how a legitimate start up should look like.

Noble supporters - read this paper, read it again, understand it and ask questions, take advantage of others laziness.
Once the short papers and info-graphic are out (should be tomorrow as far as I know) the pr campaign will begin, things will be much easier to understand - day traders and speculators will jump in like it is a warm jacuzzi.

Can't wait to see mainstream buys flowing in. Wonder if there will be enough for everyone Smiley
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][NOXT] - NobleNXT Proposal/Whitepaper - Noble's 1st Colored Coin on: December 15, 2014, 04:00:23 AM
It's exactly that. An opinion. Disruptive technologies and industries often experience an era of trouble as law/government tries to wrap their head around it if they don't make it outright illegal. If the double-taxation issue remains then there is zero point for any cryptocurrency in Australia. Crypto is being well-received here and I doubt a roadblock such as that is accepted for too long. Hell I might be wrong, and in that case either the liable tax is absorbed or we wrap that particular service up and concentrate on other aspects.

Congratulations are in order to LRoS after re-opening with a resolution to the double-GST issue. "There are now many more options for small Australian businesses like ours to buy and sell bitcoins internationally and locally in compliance with the tax ruling, which has allowed us to reopen for business." yeah, Noxt almost hit 70 BTC.

another whitepaper section for reading would be great in the next days.

Exactly. It has been great so far, and will get better.

Indeed, Rofo is quite busy but was kind enough to answer to my PMs Smiley

I just burned 3M Noblecoins. Rofo, pls tell us when we should send you our NXT wallet ID.

Awesome!

Feel free to burn as much as you wish, and invest btc or nxt in the poloniex or secureae exchanges.

about 4000 noble are one NOXT atm?

I am not sure - feel free to consult the distribution page.

Going to eat more nobl for burning Smiley
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOXT] - NobleNXT Proposal/Whitepaper - Noble's 1st Colored Coin on: December 11, 2014, 11:10:48 PM
When will crowd funding marketing really kick in? It appears most early buyers have bought what they want for now.

on poloniex we have a 3,3 BTC volume so far today. I think more and more investors come in when Rofo publishes more of his plans.

more and more people are taking notice as they should be!

If you are interested, please read the OP and distribution link posted there aside from talking to rofo. Please take time to read it over and understand the process (all explained there) regarding nobl burning and how you should make NOXT purchase with nobl.

Of course, you can already buy NOXT with BTC and NXT on the links posted on the OP.

Will start paying attention now.

Mark, Western Australia

Welcome, Mark. Good to see another from AUS as rofo. Maybe you and Jason Curby can meet face to face if you have something to discuss Smiley
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - Redefining 2015 - Colored Coin 'Fuel' [NOXT/NOCC] on: December 11, 2014, 12:58:00 AM
Huge and professional businnes plan

Is it possilble to make it real?
In my mind still memories when NOBLE was listed at Coinmarket.io. What a time!

The good old days (till they turned bad ofcourse Wink)

I think Rofo can do it. He invests a huge amount of time in the business side of development. As he is not a pro coder (he can do some basics to maintain wallet), I think it is a wise path to choose a platform that does not require code maintenance on his part (for the NOXT part atleast, right?) and instead focusses on what he does best.

yeah, rofo seems to be a great business man. Wouldn`t be surprised if you can get some investments like DGB. Australia is pretty open regarding cryptocurrency. So why don`t support a coin that comes out of australia?

My thoughts as well. If such investments come, I would expect them from australia first.

pump and dumps of 2014 were inevitable in an unregulated environment.
