41  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Daily FUD Thread: Michael Saylor dumps his MSTR shares on: April 22, 2024, 12:45:09 AM
It doesn't matter who you are, if your not diversified into other sectors your just and idiot.

All in on one thing is all in on ignorance.

Saylor is no idiot.
42  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Building mining shed on: April 21, 2024, 06:52:05 PM
Ethiopia has a very diverse climate from humid rainforest to desert. This would be a big factor in AC cost in the humid regions to water curtains (water availability) and such..

Beautiful country, so much more to it than what we are presented here in the US.

Good luck

Maybe sneak some onto an aircraft carrier?
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Daily FUD Thread: Michael Saylor dumps his MSTR shares on: April 21, 2024, 02:27:06 PM
I hope he has other goals and things to do besides MSTR and BTC.

Maybe he wants to do some things and enjoy the fruits of his labor. He probably wants to move his exposure around or buy his way into another board. Who the F knows, it's his.

Like someone said, this amount of money isn't much in that realm.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Irresponsible spenders consumes their retirement resources and losses values. on: April 08, 2024, 03:33:57 PM
Maybe his wife is real work of art. So instead of giving a ton of money to lawyers and half the remainder to her he is just going to treat himself to a nice time.

I get it.
46  Other / Serious discussion / Re: PALAESTINE Vs Israel War? on: March 31, 2024, 10:33:05 PM
Hamas started the fight, you can't cry foul when your getting your ass kicked. Their blood is on their hands.

The solution was simple, hand back the hostages, they didn't do it.

The Palestinians provide the petri dish that grows and supports hamas. They need to clean up their own mess and take out the trash. They are not even close to "innocent"

Name on thing the Palestinians/Hamas has contributed to mankind in the last 100 years? 200?

Nothing. Garbage people.

47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden resurrects 30% crypto mining tax in new budget proposal on: March 27, 2024, 07:17:19 PM
Well they don't enough power yet, but send them El Salvador!
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the pros and cons of gold compared to bitcoin? on: March 27, 2024, 07:11:22 PM
Oh it's about time to do this again for 100th time.......

It's not either or situation. They both are a part of an overall portfolio.

If you are all Bitcoin, you are an idiot.. If you are all gold, you are and idiot..

The key is balancing and securing profits inside a multifaceted portfolio preferably with tax advantages like an IRA.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: March 26, 2024, 12:35:23 AM
Well allot has changed since the last halving. There is very little BTC left to mine and the only TRUE effect is to the miners.

The rest is all emotional responses.

If it flashes up a few months after I will take peoples money.

Thank-you
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont sell because you feel like selling, give it another thought. on: March 08, 2024, 03:18:25 PM
What a shit post.

Feel? That's an emotional term. People who "feel" in money are not investors but chumps. Should always have a written plan.

It is about the money why the F else would anyone be here.

HODL ing makes ZERO profits. You don't profit or lose until you sell.

Go back to school kid.

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: March 04, 2024, 02:30:56 PM
I know the US housing market is on a bubble and will burst so I would think that the CAD market would be somewhat alike.  It would be ashame to sell when we have some to go in BTC and buy high in the housing.

The tax implications and things such as a trust and all you need a pro advisor.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving cycle on: March 03, 2024, 05:48:13 PM
The massive ETF billions pumping into the market will have it already bought in. Retail investors will mean nothing.

Halving will mean basically nothing as it should, it's an emotional response to a problem that doesn't really exist. The remaining to be mined is such a small number.

The US stock market is on a bubble and money will be finding a safe place to hide like BTC, Gold and silver and such..

54  Economy / Economics / Re: Reckless financial decision ? on: March 03, 2024, 04:51:03 PM
Getting married, definitely getting married. A guaranteed loss for the average man.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone here in El Salvador? on: March 03, 2024, 04:24:26 PM
Since the legality of BTC there, wouldn't the local banks be able to help you? I doubt they hit anywhere near 1% tho, any bank really.

Not trying to be a smart ass but try contacting Max Keiser?

https://adoptingbitcoin.org/2023/speakers/maxkeiser/

That kind of money is going to show up on allot of radars.

56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: March 02, 2024, 08:52:03 PM
If this is all true, you need to read a recent post I made.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5485048.msg63658943#msg63658943 .

STOP telling people how much bitcoin you have.  Don't even tell anyone if you own a single dime.  Keep this stuff private man!  Also, NO ONE can tell you properly how to go about this unless they knew your entire financial situation, your financial outlook, where you live and the tax implications etc etc etc.  Discuss it with a financial advisor in confidence ONLY!!!

The smartest post I have read thus far!.

I have not scene one person address the tax problem (I know nothing about Canadian taxes).

Simply put you need  figure at the tax implications, possible retirement account tax breaks.

I knew when I opened this post it would full of don't sell it now wait until it moons blah blah blah
57  Economy / Economics / Re: China's economy is very sick. What to prepare for? on: February 21, 2024, 03:16:55 PM
I would love to see Chinese government burn down to the ground. We need to stop sending them our business, they are massive polluters and desamate the oceans.

No such thing as a good commy. I hope the common people overcome the CCP and live better.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here's why BCH/BSV lovers constantly attack BTC... on: February 20, 2024, 05:41:30 PM
Well, don't give up on BCH or LTC so fast. I watched this unfold last year and made some money.

Check the charts BCH moved more that LTC but you can see what the big boys are looking at.

As the big money makes it votes that will determine what goes up and what goes away.

I hope allot of the shit coins go away and that money finds it's way into the solid players.

OOOPS forgot the link

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/06/20/new-crypto-exchange-backed-by-fidelity-schwab-and-citadel-launches/
I prefer LTC compared to BCH or BSV.

Cool. Why is that?

I will never have interest in BSV.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy sell BTC? on: February 20, 2024, 04:50:25 PM
If he (MS) needed the money he would borrow against it not sell it.

The tech side of the house will die out eventually and they will left holding a big pile of BTC. He could pivot and re invent the company any way he wants to.

I suspect at some point a big fish (Saudi) will buy the whole company to get the BTC in one lump some and sell off the tech. To purchase 10 bil in BTC at one time (ish) would be very difficult.

Any way you slice it he and his investors will win.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can't pay your mortgage or car lease can you bring keys? on: February 20, 2024, 03:42:20 PM
If don't have money to pay your mortgage or car lease ?
Can you Simple bring keys to the bank ?
I mean you got to estimate your case If you know you gona fail anyways dont pay them nothing just enjoy the the money while you have it.
Do you know any one who returned keys just back?
There is a legal procedure in that and you can't just go to the bank, return the keys, get a thank you in return, and get out of there. If the things you are returning are of less value than they initially were when you got them, you will need to pay the money that you owe to the bank and if you refuse to do that, expect the cops to visit you because they will report you for your behaviour and the debt that you are refusing to pay.

So, one should only take a home or car loan when they know they can pay the loan along with the interest set by the bank because if you fail to do that in the future, you might have to face legal consequences for that.

What country are you in? Here in the US I can walk in a surrender a car and toss them the keys. C'est la vi.

Here in the US they are never going to "send the cops". It's a civil matter.

If you are in the US, you shouldn't be offering advice.
