You've already seen the new website design that will serve as a perfect showcase. Also, we are analyzing trends in blockchain industry, such as setbacks major crypto projects are facing. All the main advantages of the Giant technology underlie our marketing strategy.

At long last, we are thoroughly pleased to announce that the first phase of the hard fork has been scheduled to happen at block #112200. Due to block lengths affecting time, it's better for accuracy to provide the community the block number as to when the hard fork shall occur. With that being said, we urge the community to make all necessary arrangements before this block is reached, which includes updating your wallets to latest versions. We are anticipating this Wednesday for the release of the new wallet updates. Both the QT & the new Desktop Wallet will be supported in the fork. In addition, the process of notifying exchanges and other platforms have begun. Please keep an eye on our website for further instructions coming this week. Current staking of 50% will remain until the fork, even after you upgrade to the newer wallets.

Update from Discord from Core Team

Over the weekend, we've been working with Cryptopia to ensure the new Ember Wallet compiling process is completed and working. As of right now, it has compiled and begun its routine to sync with the network. We should see Cryptopia come back online very soon.

And per our schedule, we are still on track to publicly release the new wallet by Wednesday.

Gincoin have an important update today as part of the consolidation of the GIN Platform operations under the parent company GIN Platform Ltd.

1. Partnership with Civic for secure login

Civic is an innovative blockchain startup that aims to simplify the way people authenticate in apps. Starting today, the recommended way of logging into the GIN platform is via the Civic app, while the legacy seed authentication will still work for customers who prefer it.

This change is aimed to protect customer security as seeds or password logins are no longer considered best security practices.

2. Invoicing data

We will soon start issuing invoices for server fees and application fees transactions, as per the EU regulations. This has no effect on the price at the customer level, but we need additional details, that can be added to your account on the platform: Name and Country

These new details are required for all future deposits.

3. Tiers voting

Up until now, we were the ones placing the coins in different tiers. From here further we hand this prerogative to the GIN MN owners, through a dedicated UI on the platform, where you will be able to place the coins in the 3 tiers. The homepage will automatically adjust to reflect these votes.

4. London conference

We have been selectively invited to participate and share our views on blockchain investing to an event in London next week. The crowd will be formed of institutional investors from the US and Europe, new startups in the blockchain scene and technical&marketing  advisors.  Emil Muthu and Alex Stanescu will be present there as GIN representatives and masternode evangelists. weekly announcement

So it’s been two weeks since the last announcement, so apologies for a break from the normal routine. We have had lots going one elsewhere particularly on my part, so we should be back to service as normal going forward.

Wallets
So the latest V12.2.4a is now available, we would recommend that people use this version to improve stability although it is not mandatory. This release totally removes all older protocol nodes from the network. There were also some small GUI changes made to the wallet.

The next release will include a number of changes based on the outcome of two proposals:

C2 - https://bit.ly/2w4efuw  - Block Time Adjustment to 120 seconds?
C3 - https://bit.ly/2LkVZBN - Annual Reward Reduction to 50%?
Both of these proposals have passed and will be added into the next release.

Rewards and PoV Payments
Restricting supply via Proposals C2 and C3 brings us in line with our current plans regarding PoV. The standard rewards structure that will be implemented means that supply in year 10 will be just under 18,000 ABS per year and in year 15 will be just 561ABS per year. After 15 years the total ABS release will be 18.4MM ABS leaving over half of supply available for distribution via the PoV subsidised network.
One distribution method regarding the subsidy amount would be set against global advertising turnover and then adjusted based on PoV network performance against a projected target figure.

This means that as the PoV turnover increases this should start to offset the reward reductions on the Mainnet.

Chain Infrastructure
The Mainnet that ABS is currently running on will be adapted to suit the PoV integration, This could move certain areas of the code away from parts of the Dash core that is it currently built on.

The PoV chain in phase one will be built on a separate daemon which will running independently from the Mainnet wallet. The PoV chain will run off of a 10 second block time producing rapid transactions that can be payed via the PoV node interface with the Mainnet at scheduled times.

This chain is powered via POW CPU mining using quark or similar. We are currently using SHA256 but will adapt this to suit the appropriate node loadings. There will be no rewards from mining on this network.

Wallet Development
We will be moving away from the QT wallet UI that we currently have and base the UI on technology that Discord amongst others is actually built on. The first wallet will be node.js with an electron container. We might at a later stage more totally into a node.js wallet but this is undecided at present. This UI will give us the ability to improve the look and functionality of the wallet. The approach also makes it easier for us to implement the PoV contract interface into the wallet core.

Portal
We are currently setting up a new server which we will then migrate the current portal which is still in development on to. Once this is completed we could allow certain parts of the portal access to the wallet (if we can do it in a secure way) via the electron container. This will allow further details and information from the portal to be displayed in the wallet.

Governance
We would like to encourage @everyone to vote in a regular basis, budgets are an important part of ABS and if we can’t get funding then development, exchange funding and marketing stall. We currently have multi budget proposals in place. These can be viewed via the proposal channels on discord or https://gov.absolutecoin.net/governance.php

We will update the superblock spacing soon so that we can produce two budget per month rather than for. This will be added in to the core code in the next release.
Coin Market Cap
We recently requested listing on CMC, unfortunately we are still unable to list there. Most areas that they measure the ABS are very good but we need to improve volume before any further application is made.

Exchanges
We currently are looking at listing on Coinex as well as other such as Crex 24. As the budget is tight we are taking our time before deciding where to list. Yobit was another option but the customer service there is not something that we feel is suitable or aligned with our own values.

Week ahead
We have quite a lot of work to do on data fills and populating all the social account we have, I’m making this a priority so that we can push ABS to the next level and hopefully attract some new volume.

More work will be done on the PoV chain which is now been tested at a fundamental level. The UI is currently in development via electron, hopefully we can share something here when we feel is suitable.

Lunyr Dev Update — Orbiter

As mentioned in our last update, we have been working on a completely decentralized app, code named Orbiter. This dapp has been fully rebuilt with a primary focus on complete decentralization.

As some of you are aware, yesterday the Cryptopia markets were paused.

POLIS talk to the Cryptopia wallet support team and they told us they are investigating a possible 51% attack on Polis Blockchain.

The last week we have experienced some unusual activity on high purchases and dumps on Cryptopia.
Also we have seen some unusual activity over the network hash difficulty calculation and time between blocks.
Yesterday we run some analytic tests over the Polis Blockchain and we don't find any proof of a 51% attack or a double spend. We informed the Cryptopia team and we are working together to make this analysis as fast as we can to open the markets again.

POLIS have prepare an automatic mechanisms for any attempt of a 51% attack that will work the next time unusual activity is detected.

As for the Core Team, as we stated before we are preparing a switch to a Pow/Pos hybrid system to prevent this kind of attacks.

TRACKING APP

We will roll out Version 0.10 of your App. We improoved a lot and added several new features. One very nice feature is to see how profitable each of your Node is based on actual calculations.

Send another Mail to them, they replied this morning. They will work on their wallet issue and enable the complete market as soon as possible.

COINOMI
Will have another call with Coinomi in the upcoming days. We are going to work out a marketing campaign between Coinomi and MONK. The plan is to launch several giveaways to the users of Coinomi ( 400k+ App Downloads! ) to attract new investors.

ADs
Once the App is close to be released as a full version we will host several Ads to attract new users.
In the current stage and last weeks it wasnt clever, in terms of marketing, to host a big Ad campaign.

WHITEPAPER
We know, many of you wait for our final Whitepaper release. The basic texts are ready a long time already. We just were not 100% sure how our Premium functions of the App will be defined. Once we decided on this we can roll out a final Whitepaper including all information requested
