... but not the country! I've seen this sort of thing happen before where one side insists that the real, uncorruptable threat be absent at any future meetings, so that they can perhaps try to work a flanker. I don't think that this tactic will do them any good. He will still be there in the background. As others have recently Tweeted, "Mission Accomplished." https://twitter.com/hashtag/MissionAccomplished?src=hash

"The superhuman effort to honour the brave people of Greece, and the famous OXI (NO)
that they granted to democrats the world over, is just beginning."  (Yanis Varoufakis)

He can now come out and say what he really wants to say without being bound by any ministerial restrictions.  Incidentally, he was elected to the Greek Parliament with the highest number of votes.  Wink

Bitcoin already 5.8% up following Greek news. Coinmarketcap:

1    Bitcoin Bitcoin    $ 3,916,691,307    $ 272.95    14,349,325 BTC    $ 28,438,900    5.80 %

Biggest Bitcoin jump I've seen in a long time.

Startcoin next in line? Max Keiser has a large following in Greece. Don't forget, Yanis Varoufakis, the Greek Finance Minister, was a regular on Max Keiser's TV show. What other coin can boast of connections like that?

I think the real fireworks will begin in a few week's time.

O.K. here's the real game changer:

Breaking News - Greece referendum: Early results show 'No' vote ahead

Hold onto your hats everyone.

If the 8k sat will be a new floor it will be fine for me

Me too! I'm in it for the long haul.

Not so long ago, when I first posted in this thread, it was infested by trolls and stalking horses ready to turn on Startcoin at the first opportunity. People had stopped posting. It was like a mausoleum. Genuine posters were swamped out by the hate-filled sock-puppets. And today it's the same old, tired, distorted messages and mis-quotes from them. Only the names of the sock-puppet, trolls change. It seems that Max Keiser and Startcoin have ruffled a few feathers along the way!

The anti-Startcoin/anti-Max Keiser posts are nothing new. I invite any genuine person to read through this thread and you will see what I mean.  Don't just read this thread. Check out other sources. Be well-informed and make your own decisions based on fact - don't let others with hidden agendas make them for you.  Wink

Endorsements are great, especially when they come from another coin. Quote from Dogecoin on Twitter:

"... been great in the #Dogecoin community but I believe the greatest potential for any altcoin is now #StartCOIN . BEST advice I can give."

https://twitter.com/TheDogecoin/status/616581984761065472

Startcoin soon to be at $1.00+? It's looking more inevitable by the day.

Oh look at this shitcoin being pumped again. Buy now, cry later.

If this isn't your coin, then why do you feel intimidated enough to comment in this column on it. Same old fabricated message probably from the same old source that has plagued Maxcoin, this coin and other coins that have threatened the status quo. These messages tend to pop-up when the price is rising. Their intention is to drive the price back down. The question that arises is why? It doesn't take a genius to see where this joker is coming from.

If you feel the need to make an adverse comment, back it up with fact.

The fact is that very few coins can claim to have anywhere near the same back-up and infrastructure that Startcoin has.

Only 90K start for sale now on Bittrex, thats amazingly low

better for us, let them fight to get in......they were all warned  Smiley

let them pay 1btc for 1start  Grin

That may be so, but I still think that Startcoin is incredibly under-valued even at the current, gradual increase in price, especially when you consider what Startcoin has got going for it. Others, including Max Keiser himself, have noted this too and have put its true value at many times what the price it is now. They may be optimistic, but I believe that they have good reason to be.  Smiley

Go Go Go StartCOIN!   Smiley

Wondering if that might well be a head and shoulders pattern on the bittrex 10m chart though ?  https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_and_shoulders_(chart_pattern)

Longer-term prospects are still looking very good indeed imho.

Slow, Slow, Slow! Steady progress is being maintained. The pattern over the hourly timeline that you are looking at shows a wavey gradual increase with an occasional price re-balancing, which is to be expected. I don't think that you can read too much into the pattern at the moment and just the opposite pattern to head and shoulders is occuring. Change the timeline to a few days, or a week and a more gradual, sustained picture emerges.

My take on it is this: Banks in the UK have warned that keeping interests rates artificially low for far too long has damaged the prospects of an economic recovery; the Euro is in turmoil; the Greek crisis and their loan payment default looks like it could bring matters to a head. The Greek referendum is a way of diverting the blame away from the Greek government, no matter which way it goes. Democracy in action!

It's right to be cautious, but I wouldn't be surprised if cryprocurrencies are about to come of age.  And of the Top 20 coins on coinmarketcap, Startcoin is still head-and-shoulders above all the rest performance-wise.  Wink

@CryptoRaver

I have a desktop Startcoin wallet and like others, I have had no problems installing it. It's fast and works well!

Missing .dll files can be due to several reasons: uninstalling software using shared .dll files; improper shut-down of your computer; malware; virus etc.

The solution? First beware of installing PC scan software that you are not sure of. You could be leaping from the frying pan into the fire.

If it was me, I'd try installing the free version of Ccleaner from Piriform.com   https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Check it out first. You will find that it is a well-respected and well-trusted piece of software used for cleaning your computer of cookies etc. My free version has a Registry tab to scan the registry for issues. If there are any missing shared .dll files, it can find them and fix them with the press of a button.

Storing your Startcoins in a Startjoin cold wallet and earning weekly interest on them, as Johnp suggested, is another good solution.

Good luck!

More steady progress. Obviously intimidatory to the bankster/rival coin who visited earlier on this page with another of his perennial pop-up, sock-puppets, spouting his usual moronic, unfounded observations. Looking through the pages, I think that people are wise to him by now.

I like how our regulars back up their observations with fact. Startcoin is out-performing all the other Top 20 coins on Coinmarketcap. If it continues to do so, we might see a $1+ Startcoin sooner, rather than later. That would make it a Top 4 coin.

The Greek crisis vote is on Sunday. Greek banks have closed to stop mass withdrawals. Banks around the world are warning that interest rates have been kept artificially low for far too long, putting the recovery at risk. Next week looks likely to be a pivotal week when the Greek banks re-open and people rush to put their money into banking alternatives. If the Greeks default, European banks and stock markets will wobble.

http://yanisvaroufakis.eu/2015/07/01/why-we-recommend-a-no-in-the-referendum-in-6-short-bullet-points/

Yanis Varoufakis, the Greek Finance Minister, has appeared several times on Max Keiser's, 'Keiser Report' TV programme. Startcoin cannot have failed to have escaped his and other Greek's attention as a possible hedge against uncertainty ... as it has done with other peoples around the world.

Good, steady progress maintained while the prices of other coins in the top 20 have fallen. The sobering thought is that there are some far higher priced coins out there that don't have anywhere near the backing, or infrastructure that Startcoin has.

I have a feeling that Startcoin is ultra-cheap, even now, to where it is going to go. $0.13 at the moment. Joining the $1+ club in a few weeks? I'm amazed that it hasn't already.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: June 28, 2015, 10:43:31 PM
Startcoin is now in the top 20 on Coinmarketcap. The price is consolidating quite nicely!

The bankster trolling retards who plagued Maxcoin and this coin are on the run! Their game is up. Startcoin is the coin that they fear. Maybe I wasn't too far off in surmising that Startcoin is about to increase in value at least ten times over and rival litecoin.  Smiley

I get the feeling that Startcoin is about to make a massive leap into the Top 10 on Coinmarketcap.

Why? Well,

1)  Litecoin's block reward for miners is about to halve, and it looks like that coin is on the way out. And

2)  those total anonymity coins, like Dash (formerly Darkcoin), might be just about to get their collars felt by the NSA. I don't see any future for them.

Can you imagine if just one anonymous transaction was linked to terrorism? Evan Duffield would be joining Charlie 'Silk Road' Shrem and that other guy who got jailed for life. All those untraceable transactions would be just that, untraceable, lost, locked away in NSA vaults.

And the exchanges that deal with those total anonymity coins might just feel that they too are in peril for knowingly facilitating possible terrorism and drug dealing. Expect some imminent, mighty crashes.

Startcoin to increase in value more than 50 times over? That would only just take it to where Litecoin is now. Maybe Max Keiser was right when he recently said that Startcoin was incredibly under-valued.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: June 15, 2015, 03:23:51 PM
I wonder why Dash and other fully anonymous coins are suddenly being promoted here, especially considering my earlier post. Do you not think that if fully anonymous coins were being used to fund terrorism, the NSA would not step in, close them down, put their facilitators in jail and that all those non-traceable transactions would be lost?

I wonder also why at the same time we get the perennial anti-Startcoin pop-up? I like the idea of a 50% pre-mine. It means that a 51% attack is unlikely. Whatever you might think about him, Max Keiser is up front and accountable, unlike newbie sock puppets.

I think the best advice to those thinking of investing is to do your own homework. Startcoin looks to me to be a good bet.

Any faith I had in Cryptsy has been restored. Perhaps I was a little harsh with them.

...
Cryptsy Wallet is out of Maintenance Mode

Deposit is not possible, Wallet status shows the wrong block.

If they are having trouble with that particular block, why don't they get, or request a bootstrap? - I'm sure we could supply one if the current one doesn't cover the last few days.

This all sounds fishy to me. Let me get this right. You can trade with Zeit on Corruptsy. Buy as many as you want. You can even withdraw Zeit. But you can't deposit any. Sounds like insider trading to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have been milking this coin all along with their double-whammy of a Litecoin pairing. If that is so, I wonder how many other coins they are milking with insider trading? You can do everything, but deposit. Maybe they don't want competition with any Zeit they might be holding. Let us hope that I'm wrong.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: April 07, 2015, 03:47:53 PM
Well I certainly wouldn't count maxcoin as down & out of the race. Startcoin may of had a head start but its use case is completely different than that of maxcoin which is nestling into the precious metals markets. However everyone should keep in mind that THEY too can help out, indeed everyone can help out and in turn help their own investment out. Whether that be from organising and developing infrastructure if you have the skills, spreading the word of maxcoin, or just a simple donation to ongoing bounties (bounty.maxcoin.co.uk). Their is a way for everyone to help out and I encourage everyone to do so and not leave it solely in the hands of current devs. Still, im enjoying these cheep prices for now...

Developing the infrastructure and encouraging use is where most coins fall down. Pretty soon I'm sure there will be a shake-down where only a small number of coins will survive.

Are you proposing the formation of an independent, development group to co-ordinate efforts? Is anybody?

I hope that your call to arms is taken up by other capable Maxcoin holders. More power to your elbow.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: April 07, 2015, 06:02:06 AM
the thing with StartCoin is 50% pre-mined I was part of the first bump and I can tell you StartCoin team sold many many coins when it reached 50k and I see the same trend all over again. StartCoin only has 25% in the market and those holding it will always pay the for the extra new coins. Btw I don't own Maxcoin!

Please keep your blabbering nonsense in the correct thread.

wtf are you talking about?

I think he's talking about your blabbering nonsense.

so it's a pair of scammers  Cheesy

Shame on you altinvest! I'm not trying to sell anything to anyone. I'm just someone who has had a bad experience with Maxcoin and has seen a better opportunity with Startcoin. I note your smiling face, so I'm taking your comment with good humour.

I have no major problem with Startcoin being 50% pre-mined. The Startcoin people were open about this. The 50% pre-mine means that it will be extremely difficult for any unscrupulous persons to do a 51% attack - possibly learning from the mistakes of Maxcoin which seems to have been quite vulnerable at times, to say the least. It also gives the developers something to work with. People buy and sell. I'm not too focused on the price. The rest of your other post I couldn't quite fathom - it seemed a bit garbled.

It may turn out that Maxcoin could have a resurgence, but somehow, I doubt it. However, I'm intrigued by Vlad2Vlad who seems to be playing his cards very close to his chest.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: April 05, 2015, 01:22:11 AM

Hey you, Yeah you ... Dave-ja-vu ... you motherfucking brownnosing piece of Keiser shit.

To all the FUCKING cheerleaders, brown nosers and ignorants who blindly follow their great "Fuhrer" Keiser.
You asked for proof although I already uploaded some screenshots? Are you full of shit or just blind to see ?
Keiser clearly announced to integrate Maxcoin into StartJoin. Several times! This NEVER happend. I call this a scam!

What a choice message to come home to after spending a pleasant Easter Saturday with my family. I'm not interested in making comments about anything else, but your desperation in stooping to snide name-calling.

You accuse me of 'brownnosing'? I think I have been clear in my posts as to why I have bought a modest amount of Startcoin. It wasn't so much what Max Keiser has said, but what other people have said and are doing with Startcoin. I've also referred to the 'Maxcoin fiasco' - not exactly complimentary to Max. Even earlier I have stated that I don't agree with all that Max Keiser says. That's not brownnosing.

Your invective does however, comment on your inability to back your assertions with concrete evidence. You have made serious allegations about Max Keiser. You say that you have "proof". If you are right and I am being duped, then fair enough, good luck to you. I don't think I am though and I am tired of reading your continual, unsubstantiated diatribe. I put it to you again to take your 'proof' to the authorities.  There I am sure that you will find many 'allies'. Take it to Fox News and the Murdock press. Since they have been on the receiving end of many attacks from Max Keiser, I'm sure that they would love to get hold of any proof of wrongdoing by him. The fact that you don't must mean that, even by your standards, you realise that your 'proof' is piss poor.

The only brownnosing I see here is yours from wallowing at the bottom of a cesspool of hatred.

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: April 04, 2015, 03:15:17 AM
@mind808crime

I agree with you. My post crossed with yours, so I've had to modify it a little. Here's my response to jboyce92 (and DoggyBulldog):

You might be right. You might be wrong. To keep hearing the same type of hate-filled message though, over two Bitcoin Forum threads, is becoming a little monotonous. Are you just another of DoggyBulldog's sock-puppets? You say that you've had Startcoin "for a good year." That's bunkum. Startcoin hasn't been out that long. Makes me wonder why you bought into it in the first place, considering that Maxcoin, by that time, had been out for ages.  I don't mind alternative views, so long as they are based on fact and not mindless hate. And why are you still here, after selling your Startcoin holding? Your actions can only be interpreted as to be intent on driving the price down.

If you've got something to say about Max Keiser, and the other people you mention, why don't you come out in the open and say it like a man. There will be lots in the establishment news media that would be willing to take up your story if it is true. Instead, like DoggyBulldog, you hide behind a hidden profile. You pussy!

I do know this: Max Keiser is a public figure. His every action is scrutinised. His opinion over many years has been sought by the world's leading broadcasters. He has been consistent with his views over a long period of time. There are many public figures who subscribe to his way of thinking. No other cryptocurrency is being used the same way that Startcoin is. It is being used as a crowd funding coin AND being seriously proposed as an alternative method to fiat currency by influential people such as Russell Brand. What have you got against that? Are you afraid that the Startcoin experiment might succeed?

You've sold your Startcoin and presumably won't be buying any more. You've said your piece. So why don't you and DoggyBulldog just fuck off and stop polluting these forums?
