41  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do we go from here on: March 27, 2023, 01:19:53 PM
There was a time where Elon musk is afraid of Robots with AI capabilities, saying they are dangerous to humans, there was a rumour about some incident where a robot threatened to crush him, I don't know how true is this, but not too long ago even the Microsoft boss Bill Gates is very concerned about the harms that AI could bring on humanity, saying something like AI might decides that humans are a threat. We do we go from here?

the development of ai is inevitable, ai will enter human life whether we like it or not,, it will be integrated with our various devices and we must be able to adapt to it .. what needs to be considered here is how we as users can take advantage of this ai to help us solve various problems such as completing simple jobs, etc. the point is we have to be wiser in using this technology

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🐞 Why Dogecoin still Not hit $1, and how? 🕸 on: February 23, 2023, 12:39:46 PM
what do you expect from meme coin? Doge coin was created from scratch just for fun and does not have any potential to make it a good coin for long term investment .. it is very related to the pump that is carried out by Elon and it will be very difficult for this coin to touch 1 USD
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mastercard to allow crypto payments in Web3 via USDC settlements on: February 22, 2023, 08:45:32 AM
i see this as a very good progress of crypto adoption in the present .. it's very interesting to see that a company as big as Mastercard is interested in being able to support stablecoins like USDC on their payments,, and it's possible -not ruled out- that VISA will also support stablecoin payments on their platform

50  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 17, 2023, 12:02:18 PM
not only bitcoin, other crypto really helps my economy,, because I still remember when I got paid from the bounty and the proceeds from selling the token I finally got a vehicle and many other things,, and that continues to this day .. even though the pay is not as much as before but I'm still grateful for that

52  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 14, 2023, 06:33:19 PM
in theory cryptocurrencies can provide financial freedom to users,, because the Defi system has provided long-term rewards to stakers .. however, in practice this is difficult to happen because many Defi projects are scams and don't pay their stakers, and Defi projects that still pay their users no longer provide the high rewards they promised at the start
The real DeFi project is a long-term dedicated project and if for now it's no longer paid higher I think that's a very reasonable thing, because the project only implements bigger payments at the promotion stage. Meanwhile, when it is as well known as it is now, of course the payments will always be equalized so it shouldn't be considered a problem.

In addition, a scam DeFi project is a fake project that is only created by a group of people when the original DeFi project has been born or already exists. So a group of irresponsible people can simply copy the basic framework to create a new project. But for matters of financial freedom that have been discussed in this topic, I see it not towards the DeFi project, but more towards everyone who can make money continuously so that everyone can feel financial freedom even though they are not working in a government agency in their country.
yes you are right,, and that's why I said that "in theory" a project like Defi can provide financial freedom,, because it provides passive income to its stakers and with this passive income its stakers should be able to achieve financial freedom, but due to the current state of the crypto market down, it makes the rewards from staking on Defi no longer reliable for the stakers because they are small .. if only the reward was high, surely there would be many people who achieved financial freedom from staking crypto

55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US casinos set new record of revenue on 2022 on: February 06, 2023, 03:49:36 PM
-snip-

Have you noticed this as well where you live? Are cryptocurrency casinos experimenting the same kind of boom as fiat casinos?

Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/willyakowicz/2023/01/13/us-set-gambling-record-in-2022-with-more-than-549-billion-in-revenue/

i see that the crypto-based casino industry is also experiencing the same thing,, this can be seen from the increasing number of people who are starting to gamble using cryptocurrencies .. i think that in the next few years, more people will gamble using crypto because gambling with crypto is much easier and the exchange is faster

58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 27, 2023, 07:48:58 AM
the same as in my country, here is a Muslim-majority country that strictly prohibits the practice of gambling,, but the funny thing is there are still many people who invest in options or other forms of gambling,, and I also remember that some time ago there was an ustadz who promoted investment options and once traced it turns out that the investment platform makes all of their customer's money in horse racing, even here there are many online gambling companies that pay officials or the police/army to be able to secure their business .. this is very funny

60  Economy / Economics / Re: A Bank of America Glitch Sent Customers Into a Panic Over Missing Funds on: January 20, 2023, 01:09:22 PM
this is a traditional type of banking where when they make a mistake they will only apologize and not give compensation,,, but when the customer makes a mistake they will blame them .. moreover they don't provide any protection which really makes me wonder why customers don't care about this from the start
