hello there, there are no winner for August 19, 2014?
I'm crossing my fingers. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Have you received any of the two you've won yet ? Either way I'm hoping I win one, could use a bit more power. Hi, Not yet, but I am really looking forward to it. In fact, I've bought some really nice power supplies, Thermaltake Toughpower Grand, 1200W, 80 plus gold. I know that you might be thinking that "this guy is cocky", but it's not what you think. I had actually bought the two power supplies; because I was anticipating some Scrypt miners I had ordered from GAW Miners. They were supposed to ship the "same day" that I ordered them, but after waiting for more than a week for them just to leave the GAW Miners warehouse, I cancelled the orders. no more for you it will move you into a higher tax bracket! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Bring on the higher tax bracket!!! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Hi,
If you want something shipped to you from GAW Miners, I'd advise against it. I ordered two miners from them, and the web-site said same day shipping for those miners. Over a week later, they still hadn't left the GAW Miners warehouse; so I cancelled the orders. Not to even mention the calls, and e-mails, full of empty promises.
I can say that the refund for my purchases took less than a week.

Hey s0br, Thanks for all you hard work; mining is sweet now on London server ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . I like your pool and all my miners are pointed at it (only 1TH but every little helps eh). Also for your giveaway of an s3 every day for 30 days, that's obviously cost you a lot of money. Have you thought about offering a block finder bonus? How's about offering a block finder bonus of say 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 5 btc block finder bonus? Not sure how easy it would be to implement but would certainly get you some more miners ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) . I also think it would keep miners interested after the s3 giveaway and bonus has ended. It's just my opinion, but I disagree. I think everyone that doesn't have more than 100 Th/s of miners would get pretty bored after seeing only a handful of users win the bonuses... many, many times. Nothing against those folks with more than 100 Th/s of miners; because they are helping all of us collectively. I don't think there needs to be a gimmick of any kind afterwards. I think steady PPS payouts is rewarding, and reliable. I think that might appeal to a broad spectrum of miners.

Hi s0br, I had faith that you'd fix the payouts, and you did. However, I did not expect an additional bonus on top of that. It's appreciated, but unnecessary. Just keep doing a great job!!! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Hi All, I want you all to know that I am grateful for having won these two AntMiner S3s. s0br is a very generous person, but even without the prizes, I'd still be here on this pool. That being said, I hope that I win the other thirteen AntMiners being given away, but I'm not holding my breath. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Haha!!! Well I hope you choke on them miners!! LOL JK... Congrats on winning 2!! Very cool and maybe your hash rate will level out some now!
Well, I'm not holding my breath for that either. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Haha!!!

Hi,
Maybe I'm a bit impatient, but I've been waiting for over a week for the items I've purchased to leave their warehouse. The items said "same day shipping" on their web-site, but they have completely missed that. I've made calls, and received responses saying that they should ship "today", but that wasn't true. I've e-mailed them, and received replies that they would check into it, but I've received nothing since then.
Well, that was a wasted week. I've cancelled my orders, and hopefully I won't have to spend any additional time trying to wrap up that purchasing nightmare.
Unless you are more patient than I am, and certainly don't believe that "same day" means plus or minus "x" number of days, I can't recommend purchasing from these folks.

Without knowing the settings etc on the back end of the pool it appears the pplns is working in reverse to what it meant to where it rewards the longer ya on the pool vs a new user
That's what it looks like from perspective too. I am sure s0br will figspecialed101ure it out. Hey specialed101 any idea why your hash rate changes by so much. Looks to change @ 500-800 GH? What kind of miners you running? Mine changes but not nearly at the rate yours does. Mine does change a lot. I see numbers that blow my mind sometimes. I have three 1 Th/s miners, a Dragon and two Antminer S2s. I also have some little miners that I had used for testing, but I have all of my SHA-256 miners on here; because with these bonuses, I'd be foolish not to. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) As it was explained to me, the wide variance is due to the dynamic difficulty settings; which try to have the miners check back every nine seconds. My overall hash rate averages within my expectations; so I'd say that the nine second algorithm works, but I'd love for the difficulty setting to just stay at one of these "magical" settings that make my miners double their 1 Th/s speeds. (Yes, I said double. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) ) If you were to watch my miners locally, the speeds on the big ones are pretty much staying at 1 Th/s +/- 10% range, but there are some sporadic swings where they outperform my wildest dreams. Sometimes, an event happens that causes them to shift to my failover pools, but only for about 6.5 minutes.

personal if i win i am going to PM OP as ask them to throw it back in the draw for another member of the community ( the postage to Australia is a bitch)
If you do win, I'd like to volunteer to take yours!!! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Actually, the way this pool works is we usually hit 2 in a row after every dry spell. Speaking of dry spells, any one else noticed Bitminter is on it's second 3day block in a row. Ouch.
Yes, they are my failover pool. Every once in a while, my servers might failover to there, and I add a little work to a shift. The plan was that some coins might trickle into my wallet. So much for plans. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

just sent 4.1 ths to your pool. the most I got credit for was 3.6 ths after 40 min. I can't afford that kind of loss.
Good luck to all.
This post is a tarp but I'm going to knowingly swallow the hook here... 1) If you are throwing 4Ths you should already know that it takes way more than 40 minutes to stabilize to a new pool. 2) The pool has a bunch of servers. Depending on your location and Internet connection one may work better than the others for you. 3) Since the difference between 3.6 & 4.1 is about %12 and s0br is overpaying miners %12.5 right now it's a wash! 4) You have a chance every day to win an antminer S3 (retail value $385). But since you would represent one LESS chance for ME to win I will just wish you good luck ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ig Ssssssshhhhhhhh... He might come back if you tell him that he goofed. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) <Insert "golf clap" here>

Hi All,
I can highly recommend this pool. I love the dashboard display of all of the mining statistics. The generous prizes are just gravy on top of what I think is a quality mining pool. Keep up the great work!!!

Looks interesting. In what file/config do you put this share & pseudo_share setting?
On the Bitminter web-site, click on the "My Account" tab, and select "Workers" from the drop-down menu. Next to each worker's name is a cogwheel icon. Click on it, and set the minimum difficulty there.
|
|
|
General advice, set your minimum difficulty to your hashrate in GH/s divided by 1.4.
I had tried this formula before, resulting in "741", and it works great for my Dragon miner, but the Antminer S2 miners had a wider variance than the Dragon did; so that is what lead me to searching for tweaks for the S2 miners. Even with the ever increasing Bitminter Pool hashrate, using "1188" as my minimum difficulty for the S2 miners has increased my average overall score over what the S2 miners were generating using "741" previously. Sure, it's just by decimals, but this is a game of decimals, right? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Hi All, I'm kind of new to this; so I've been playing around with optimizing my miners for about a month. I was looking for tips for settings for my Antminer S2 miners, and just the other day, I came across this: http://www.norgzpool.net.au/antminer.html I used his formula for pseudo_share calculations, and rounded it up from 1187.84 to 1188. I'm sure that most of y'all reading this are yawning by now, but after setting the maximum difficulty to 1188 for these on the Bitminter "Workers" page for "My Account", I am seeing some hashing speeds I would not have expected. I am seeing peaks of over 2.5 Th/s for my two Antminer S2 miners combined. If I look on the web interface for either miner, I sometimes see peaks of 1.5 Th/s just for a single miner. Before I had tried this, I was seeing peaks of about 1.15 Th/s per miner, with low spots in the mid 750 Gh/s. It was the low spots I was hoping to tweak higher. For you other Antminer S2 owners, I'd like to know what settings you use that you are happiest with.
