41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Experience about trading in btc on: March 13, 2023, 03:51:03 PM

First of all no one knows what will happen in the future. So no one knows what and when the value of bitcoin will increase in the market.

Although, the increase and decrease in its value in the market is inevitable, we just don't know if it will continue to increase or decrease because no one really knows and that is due to volatility.

It depends on how you value the the house if it is a place no one is currently living in or might be living in an immediate future then it is better to sell it off rather than having it dilapidating. Bitcoin is a great store of value to save that funds if you can hold for long
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 11, 2023, 11:02:44 PM
There are many drawbacks that is stopping someone like me from investing on some Altcoins. The Altcoins I mostly feel scared to invest in are those Altcoins that are build on other chains and not standing on there own. Example like does on ETH, BNB, polygon, sol chain. Although these coins are top Altcoins but should any that happen to them as the parent coin on the chain then it could affect the other Altcoins on same chain
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 11, 2023, 07:22:39 PM
Before the evolution of bitcoin they were other investments happening on the internet but frankly speaking they were nothing compared to bitcoin because some of them were like a quick rich schemes that ended up scamming people. So I don’t see it strange seeing older generations having the same feelings towards bitcoin, we only need to tell them why bitcoin is different.

As for learned parents I think they are best suited for bitcoin because of their patience in saving and this is key to holding for very long term
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitget exchange on: March 11, 2023, 06:56:22 PM
It is one of the leading exchanges in the world with more than 150 coins or tokens on it, have a very low trading fee but doesn’t support major coins. Don’t not fall for this celebrity advertising scam and go there and deposit there other major exchanges you should consider mostly decentralized ones
45  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 2023 Gubernatorial Elections Discussion Thread {Focus on Lagos & Rivers States} on: March 11, 2023, 06:49:20 PM
INEC has disappointed all Nigerians, there was a day I bin dey go out nd in di Keke pple bin dey tok sae dem no go vote 4 naija Elections again bcos of weti INEC do nd di worst part bi sae dem do throw away dia voters cards. 4 Lagos nd Rivers States me I prefer labour party 4 Lagos while PDP 4 Rivers. Because di present governor is di won who order di military to kill di Nigerians youths in di #endsars. And also Desmond Eliot should be removed from state House of Assembly to go act Nigeria Movies.

That is my opinion for the whole Gubertarial Election for these two major commercial States. Go and vote for ur prefer candidate. I dey see sae political withdrawal is coming very high among citizens.

The election wey dem shift seriously caused aparty but me i understand there points. I feel also say the thing don reduce people ginger. Had the election taken place a week after the presidential elections I know say many sitting contestants for don pack their bags comot.

As for Sanwolu in Lagos firstly make I clear the air, him talk say no be him order that massacre during endsars and if you look am him no get that power because na only one political office holder fit order that thing and an him be GCFR himself but the reason why people Dey vex for am on top the matter be say na him talk say no killing happen and why na now him Dey comot to talk about the thing. I strongly believe say him biggest rival na LP party candidate but the PDP will definitely split votes. Had LP and PDP join forces together then they might have a big advantage to APC. APC votes might be coming from a tribal point of view and that is why they are inciting the tribal conflict that other tribes wants to take over their state
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 09, 2023, 06:51:47 PM
Despite being able to win over Dortmund in the Champions League. But Chelsea's game has not seen progress. In that match it could be said that Chelsea was saved by luck. I don't think Potter should be complacent about the result, because he has a tough job in the Premier League. Potter is still overshadowed by dismissal if the Blues' performance declines again.
Chelsea were just lucky to go through because of Dortmund lack of dominance in the match. Potter formation worked because Dortmund played an offensive pattern and against a well composed team they will lose. Sadly for Chelsea fans they won't be able to get their wish of Potter sacked happen. Bohely has promised to back him till the end of season
47  Economy / Economics / Re: The Biggest Financial Regrets on: March 09, 2023, 06:15:28 PM
Every one has regrets my major regret at a younger age was refusing to learn a trade when I graduated from High school and was waiting for admission into university. My friend venture into fashion designing and is already established although I actually completed university degree a year ahead of him but I feel at this current economic situation that the skill will be a great asset to me financially

there will always have some sort of inflation
the push pull for sure
but that is dependent on many variables etc, at least it is possible to get rid of one form of\ inflation if the entire market place was based on a money system that had a limited supply
what are your thoughts on what if the majority of the population all of a sudden sold all their fiat and put it into a crypto? like BTC, do u think the system or part of the traditional finance system see some type of impact/disruption?

Crypto currency adoption is fast growing and this already has had some countries government having a rethink about the ban on it, some have begin to lessen the ban and are looking towards regulating it. So yes mass adoption by the people will definitely have an impact on the government decision. But fiat cannot be thrown aside because of crypto. Crypto volatility is one aspect that will make fiat relevant no matter what. Crypto should be seen as an alternative to cryptocurrency
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 05:41:33 AM
Chelsea's coach was just switching its garbage strategy to the strategy that was often used by tuchel in the past. Potter didn't wanna gamble with his garbage formation anymore. Potter was taking safe play. The result was making so many people are giving him applauses.

Potter has been using this formation for quite some time now and just that it did work today because of how too offensive the dortmound back line was. He did brave by sticking to the formation but his substitutions look poor to me because a game that could easily gone to extra shouldn't be the one you take off your attackers. Dortmound were poor and their  poor form away to England continues, with what they played and how they played I don't think it will change soon
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 07, 2023, 11:32:06 AM
usually playing in the regular league with the champions league is very different, we don't know what surprises Liverpool will make later, playing at home to Real madrid in the second leg even though it's difficult but who knows there are surprises that Liverpool did like yesterday against Manchester United humiliating him with 7 goals , but even though the chance is small for Liverpool to qualify for the next round, in football there are always surprises, this will be an interesting match to watch.

The champions league is a different competition compared to any other league and Real Madrid are the kings of it. Currently Madrid are playing shitty football in the Laliga but we all know when it comes to the champions league madrid switch on. The draw against Betis at the weekend widened up the gap between them and Barcelona and madrid could be thinking to themselves now that they have certainly lost that league so to me they would do everything possible to win the UCL.

The demolition of Manchester by Liverpool has certainly raised their hopes for the remainder of the season. They could be pumped to go all out and win it. If they could score 7 against one of the most inform teams in the Europe then they could score four or three against the disorganized los balancos.

Right now I wouldn’t be making my predictions just yet in this match but will watch out on how each of these team fairs in their weekend fixtures
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 07, 2023, 11:19:23 AM
I have never tried to talk to anyone about bitcoin, although the younger generations due to curiosity sometimes ask about but I see through some of them that they only want to get rich through and seriously I warned them not to take bitcoin as a get rich scheme. As for the older generations they would ask about it risk and once I tried to tell them most at times that the risk is minimal in bitcoin if they stick to holding they just shrug off that everything related to internet seems scam to them. Sadly it is what the government has made them to believe. More so I don’t bother introducing older generations because I feel they lack the ability to secure their funds on wallets because of most of them from here are naive and could easily be scam.

I most give you credit for bringing your dad in but you need to tell him about the risk involved not when he sees some dumps he will start panicking just tell him to hodl. Also tell him not to click on phishing messages from emails because older generations easily falls for tricks like that

Seeing as Bitcoin cannot be controlled by the authorities, it will be portrayed to the public as a Ponzi scheme in order to discourage people from investing in it. When you can't beat the reach, you must plot against it. Bitcoin has outperformed their expectations of it thriving in this manner. Bad activities have always existed; simply associating bitcoin with all of this distorts its value potential in the world. Despite this, bitcoin continues to dominate.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: January 13, 2023, 08:31:24 PM
What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?

The best decision and step he had taken in this life to make himself anonymous most be one of the best he’ll forever be proud of himself for. If he was to be known, I doubt bitcoin existence will still be here or will have gain much development and adoption in today’s world. The government are insane when it comes to competing with them with something they don’t have control over or can dictate on.

He made himself anonymous till today, but we can still see how they’re threatening the existence of bitcoin till today. Bitcoin wouldn’t have survived this long or getting to this point if he was known. I’m in full support of him been anonymous and he should remain so in the hidden for longer time to come.
