41  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I want to actually mine Bitcoin (SHA256) on modern GPUs on: December 26, 2022, 06:10:07 PM
Hey guys!

I know this doesn't make sense but I'm hoping to mine Bitcoin on modern GPUs. I mean actually mining the SHA256 algo. I know you used to be able to do this with cgminer like 10 years ago, but I'm struggling to find anything that can do it on modern GPUs. I think it would make for a fun comparison of how far ASIC mining technology has come in a video on my Youtube channel.

If any of you guys have any tips for a mining software I could do this with I'd be very thankful! Basically any help I can get at all would be greatly appreciated. Smiley

EDIT: Yes I am very aware this won't be profitable Wink I run a Youtube channel and a lot of my viewers have been asking about solo mining BTC on their GPU rigs now that GPU mining isn't profitable since the merge. I wanna show them that yes technically you can do it but it's not really a good idea.

Thank you so much!
/Seb
Hi brother that's just not good cause Graphics Cards offer only kilo Hash powers as compared to the Asic Mining machines that offers in Tera hAsh power. And You won't mine anything if you want to go for the SHA-256.
I think that you should go to for Ethereum mining with GPU with 10 Plus in numbers and in this way toy would be able to generate good amount of money. And also here is a detailed article and you would find interesting.

42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the need of Bitcoin being more divisible lead to a hard fork? on: December 26, 2022, 04:08:01 PM
Imagine the following scenario (that could possibly occur in decades):

Bitcoin becomes widely adopted, its marketcap surpass the dollar's, and it become so valuable that even a single satoshi is worth more than, for example, a couple of pens, a bottle of water, etc.

In that case, payments for small amounts wouldn't be possible even with second layer solutions such as LN, because even a single satoshi would be more valuable than the price of the product. There would be a need for Bitcoin to be more divisible, for it to be broken down into even smaller parts.

Would such need to use smaller denomination units (smaller than satoshi) require a hard fork? Can someone shed some light into it?
Hi Brother I think that's not possible because after 100 years i think that BTC price might be some million Dollars but at that time there might be some Changes in Transaction fee and other such things like Btc Fee might be Zoro and other such things that People may not use Bitcoin as payment method than other coins cause they might offer something that could be more favourable. So let's see that What can happen.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before? on: December 25, 2022, 04:27:24 PM
How, and how much did you manage to lose?
Your question is not complete but I will say that loosing Bitcoin and crypto is a part of life if you are a trader. I have lost my money and that was very hurtful to me.
First time I lost money as it was 2017 when I lost 2 Ethereum in a single time and it was very very exhausting for me and I cannot bear that I can loose such hard Money. After that I lost almost 1500 Dollars in 2021 in May. And it broke my heart and I tried to quit but now I am able to do something good and now in future I might be able to earn something hefty money.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you come to know bitcoin? on: December 25, 2022, 04:02:51 PM
Hi all,friends Smiley
I think that this question will seem very interesting, because the story of acquaintance and first investment in bitcoin will never be forgotten
Someone found out from friends, someone read on the internet, and someone may be standing at the birth of the cryptocurrency itself
Share your stories my friends, because each story is unique and interesting
Hi bro this thread is repeated for many times and many people have asked same but I Will say that I first contact led with Bitcoin when I was in 2017 as I heard that Bitcoin is now superpassing Gold and that was very astonishing and that's caught my attention too. So I will say that later on worked in may websites and do many tasks. And I go bankrupted also and that was very very challenging to me. But Now I am in a good state and in future I might be able to do something great.

46  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Buy new mining equipment, don't be penny wise pound foolish! on: December 24, 2022, 06:36:44 AM
I have heard the argument many times that some fairly use equipment are better options for purchase when compared to brand new. I can't understand how this can be argued when clearly the only reason to go for fairly used equipment should be insufficient money to afford a new one. My advice for anyone who wants to buy equipment to start mining is that if you can afford to get the new one, go for it and play the long game instead of trying to save some little money on fairly used that are more prone to developing a fault. Buy new equipment if possible.
I have nit such experience but I will say that buying old nit much older mining rigs my mean buy Mining rigs that are 1 to 2 years old than they will give much more profit cause they will go more to your ROI. Cause if you buy new mining rig that costs 5000 dollars than instead buy 3000 dollars mining rig that will be a good investment for you cause you will get your Money more quick.
By they way there is a saying that "Old is Gold"
So that's depends on you and it takes a lot of patience and also man stucks just want to do.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TRUTH WILL ALWAYS SURFACE on: December 24, 2022, 04:50:15 AM
Ftx drama
Its no new story again about what happened to ftx and how millions of investor lost their money due to what happened to ftx and this has caused so many problems in the crypto world and many new comers to the crypto have this wrong idea that bitcoin and all other coins is a scam project and if they put their money their going to loose. Before now i was part of this set of people that thought so, and never actually wanted to understand btc and crpto currency more, but since i got here i have learnt alot and i have done enough reading to know that ftx was actually an exchange platform which was dealing with centralized coins and toying with investor funds and one thing which is very clear is that any platform controlled by someone will eventually have some errors especially when it comes to crypto and that's why BTC IS THE BEST because its decentralized and not controlled by the government or any C.E.O

now some months have past and investigation are still going and insight are getting out on what really happened about the funds of investors in Fxt and today I saw some news about how FTX was lending money to another company and this money i supposed its the customer funds and now when they could no longer meet up with customers demand, they pin on their website been hacked or something else so its just a matter of time before we hear the whole truth about this Fxt saga

https://news.bitcoin.com/caroline-ellisons-testimony-claims-ftx-boss-sbf-directed-her-to-co-mingle-customer-funds-since-2019/

I read the rules of the forum and its say you add a link to your story so i hope i did well.

This is bear market and FTX Drama was really big and that was total Disaster and I cannot believe that Billions of Dollars have been gone and they only gone to the main players of the game and they made such huge and better fortune from the Blood of People.
FTX made people fool for many years and that's why for some time I was also believing on FTX.
I can See that Money is always king and Now SBF has been bailed Out for 250 Million Dollars and that's biggest Bail fee we have ever seen in the world.
48  Other / Off-topic / Re: Team USA will play in the Philippines for the FIBA WORLD CUP 2023 on: December 24, 2022, 12:00:28 AM
In the history of the basketball field in the Philippines, this is the first time that Gilas will be able to compete against team USA, I am sure that its arena will be full in the year 2023. Many people will likely bet here on which team will win.

But also make sure that the tickets will be very expensive for those who watch here. If you look at it from another angle, the USA going to the Philippines seems like this team will make a lot of money for the Filipinos. Although, it looks like it's worth it anyway because it's the first time it's going to happen. I'm just not sure if this will be the ticket price.

Reference: https://www.cnnphilippines.com/sports/2022/12/12/Team-USA-2023-FIBA-World-Cup-group-phase-games-Manila.html
This ticket is too expensive for me cause I can't afford such hard earned money but in future I might be able to do do these types of tours cause it's my dream to fulfill such destinations that could be a joy for me.
Basketball is a great game but not all people are fans unlike me that I am a keen fan of playing basketball. There are many big players that will be able to make name but still basketball cannot dethrone Cricket and Also Football.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who holds 1+ Bitcoin, how does it feel to hold in bear market? on: December 23, 2022, 04:08:53 PM
I have been in this crypto market for a while now. 2 years plus if I remember correctly. I have seen BTC at $29k when I first entered the crypto market.
Then after some struggle, BTC went up so high reaching almost 70k making it the all-time high price of BTC. Then in 2022 it just falls and where it stands now.

As whom holds more than 1 BTC now, I think you guys are in this crypto world for a long now. How does it feel to hold it in Bear market?
And what would you suggest to the people entering the market recently and having thoughts about selling their share of BTC? What's your advice to them?

As for my advice, I would say "Try to do some research on Bitcoin's past and see what it has achieved. If you dive deep, you will see it's potential and would never sell until the right time"

I am not holding 1 Bitcoin and that's a very large amount for me too. That was my dream to hold 1+ Bitcoin in my portfolio. Let's see what will happen in future.
Those who are holding more than 1 Bitcoin than they might have mixed reactions. Those who are long term holders they might not have any kind of fear or anything else. Those who bought 1 Bitcoin at a very large price than they might be in a panic and they might soon sell Their Bitcoin and convert them in cash.
50  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Air conditioning and miners on: December 23, 2022, 06:40:58 AM
We are looking at renting office space for s19j pro

There is a lack of air flow (fresh air) but there is air conditioning

Does air conditioning cause problems for miners?

The room is fairly small about 13 feet by 13 feet

Will the room be able to accommodate 1 miner? How about if the operation was scaled anywhere up to 5 miners?

Sir conditioning is good for large amount of miners, those who have at least 100+ miners that are running 24/7. Cause they produce so much heat that temperature may rise Upto 50 Degree Centigrade. That's why Air-conditioning is good for the miners nevertheless they might stop working and it could be bad for machinery.
That's why I think that natural humidity plays important role cause more humidity more miners will work at its better state.

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: December 23, 2022, 05:19:04 AM
Most recently, the state of New York (in the US) passed a bill to ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns. Some time ago, the EU did something similar (although it came into law) making both investors and miners largely concerned about the future of PoW cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Dogecoin. If FUD related to PoW mining damaging the environment persists (remember Elon Musk also criticizing Bitcoin?), then cryptocurrencies with PoW algorithms will be forced to switch to PoS altogether. Bitcoin will be the mostly affected since it's the biggest PoW cryptocurrency in the world. Growth for the pioneer cryptocurrency will stifle, forcing miners to close down their business for good.

Do you think countries worldwide will ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? If not, why? If mining is banned, do you think Bitcoin will switch to PoS? Will it still survive being a PoW cryptocurrency? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
There are a lot of countries that ban Bitcoin and also crypto mining because there is High Power consumption for the Mining powers to run.
Iran is a country where Mining is legal and they are generating a lot of Bitcoin and they have huge plans in the future cause they know the real values of Bitcoin and so crypto. I wish that this might happen in my country cause still this is not authenticated by our government.
And also in America there is no van on the Bitcoin mining and they have also not given permission too. If someone wants to mine than do it and if do not than they will not be charged for guilty.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: December 23, 2022, 05:01:59 AM
Yes, the fighting style of Tim is very similar to Castano. In the first fight it was a split decision with by Charlo and there are some pundits who says that he lost as the score is SD. So they immediately go at it in the rematch, round 24 but this this Charlo won by knockout

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpQcS2_bzZA

And I think the Castano is a better boxer overall compare to Tszyu. So there could be some adjustment on the side of Charlo in the beginning, because of the pressure and overwhelming style of Tim, but eventually he will be caught by the power of Charlo late in the rounds. So my prediction is that Charlo winning here.
Yes you are right brother and I can garee because Castano is a best Boxer as compared to the Tszyu because he worked hard and he is better in every aspect as compared to him but in game there is not surity skill over luck. So I will say that I might gamble on Castano as compared to the Tszyu. Their is a hype for the Tszyu but he is crap as compared to him.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 22, 2022, 04:53:42 PM
When a man gets married to a woman to become husband and wife, they become one and everyone expects that they can get to share everything with each other. I know of women who have the passwords to their husbands bank cards and they can make withdrawals on his behalf. I will like to ask the Men here if they have shared their seed phrase with their wife's? I will like to ask the women here how they will feel if their husbands refuse telling them their seed phrase?

Regarding knowing of crypto assets details there are many things that needed to be done cause I also wanted to give details to my relatives in case if emergency.
1) First I am not married and that's why my big brother and sister know about my details too. And I case of emergency they can withdraw it. And I ga e them little bit knowledge too, what is crypto and how to withdraw it etc.
2) let your wife or husband know cause they are the part of family and we do not know what can happen to us. And that's why I am going to tell in future if I have life.
3) Make a note and all your files and data and also assets and can also give your family. And if an emergency come than they can open and than can withdraw what is lfet for them.
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / I am Bullish On Bitcoin Despite Bear market on: December 22, 2022, 04:38:53 PM
Hi guys I am no expert but according to me GUYS, I'm very Bullish for BTC coz, BTC is forming a Falling wedge and its a huge huge Wedge, when it'll break, BTC will pump hard but,
before that understand this Falling Wedge Bottom is nearly 14k$ & in worst case we can see wick to 10 - 12k,

& Next Elliot 5th wave will be huge 🔥⏳
I will buy Bitcoin and other crypto if it came to the 14k level cause I think that at time it should be pumped hard and almost cross 20k dollars in coming weeks.

56  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Core Scientific Mining Company is headed for bankruptcy on: December 22, 2022, 02:33:00 PM
Following FTX's liquidity crisis and bankruptcy, the largest mining company "Core Scientific" has filed for bankruptcy.  A CNBC report noted that Core Scientific Mining Company filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday morning without liquidating the company's assets.  Core Scientific Company started its journey in July 2021 with assets of $4.3 billion and has brought this year to $0.078 billion as of Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  Currently, the total share price of the company has fallen by 98 percent.  A Reuters report attributed the current malaise of Core Scientific mining companies to the overnight drop in bitcoin prices, rising mining costs and other related factors, noting that all mining companies are currently under a lot of pressure.

I do not know why there are a lot of FUDS and also bad news like FTX crash was very big and it may impact many other crypto company too cause it has invested in many big Crypto like Serum, Almeda Capital and much more. They many bankrupt cause they came here for a temporary and now they do not know what to do and that's why they have been exiting and shaking crypto market too.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to bet in e-sports? on: December 22, 2022, 01:47:37 PM
I have never tried betting in e-sports. I know that a lot of you guys do a lot of betting in e-sports and would like to hear your opinion on that. Is it worth it? And what are the best places for that?
Hi brother I have used https//bitsler.com
It's trusted website regarding deposit and withdrawal also. But I haven't made any fortune From it and in future i might try something better like e-sports tournaments. Cause here these Casino have very less chances of scam also. There are many websites but I used only Bitsler website and that's why I am telling thus.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 22, 2022, 01:06:18 PM
People actually claim to be strong holders that can go against any situation wanting them to sell off some of their bitcoins. The strongest of holders do not just sell at the slightest economic discomfort I know, but I believe everybody has a threshold at which if the pressure surpasses them, they would break into the decision of selling some of their bitcoins to sort the present condition. What kind of situation do you think is enough to pressure you in seeling some of the bitcoins you have been holding. Is family or health challenge enough reason to?

Thete are many situations to consider, first is that when I think that Bitcoin market has a lot of bad news and it cannot be reverted. In that situation I will be able to sell my assets so that I my not loose much more money too.
And also next situation is with the futures trading, cause in futures trading we use more leverage and we have to sell our tokens so that I might be able to avoid much more loss.
59  Economy / Service Discussion / Have anyone heard Bitsler.com? on: December 22, 2022, 12:32:01 AM
Hi guys I know some of users will say that what am I doing. I was saying that if you know about https://bitsler.com
I wanted to ask because in prior 2017 and 2018 I deposited almost 300 dollars and I lost in a single day by playing dice. And I do not know what is Dice at that time. And laster I deposited more and more. There was time when I made almost 2 Ethereum and they worth Upto 800 dollars at a peak time of Ethereum. So after I also lost everything. That's why I try to avoid gambling.
What are your scenes. Have anyone made some fortune through betting.
60  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Low power consumption - how comes? on: December 21, 2022, 05:52:29 PM
Cleaned an old Bitmain Antminer S3 from its dust, plugged it in, and it is hashing 496.1GH/s. I remember that, in the past, it consumed about 366W - which was considered ultra low. For knowing what batteries I need for running the device with solar power, I started to measure the consumption. And it is constantly between 68.5 and 70.4W.
Either I am doing something totally wrong, or some magic turned my device into a super-device? Any ideas?
Hi bro you are using Antminer 3 that is so much old and it's only using 366 watts power that is too less. And You are not using Antminer s19 pro that uses almost 10x that are using and that's sucks so much power. And that's why your mining power is negligible too.
You should use higher miners so that you can earn much more and I do not know that what are using and I think you would be loss by running that's too old machine.
