41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How it everyone feeling during this altcoin crash? on: June 18, 2024, 12:17:13 PM
My altcoin portfolio was +83% on the 9th June but is now +51% just 9 days later.

I am buying some dips but mainly just holding during these times and hoping we recover in the coming weeks.

When will this crash stop? and how is everyone feeling?

I have it in my mind we still have a few more months till alt season so I am just holding on for now.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your top performing altcoin this year so far?? on: June 17, 2024, 04:13:16 PM
Everything depends on your risk tolerance! Some are good with taking x2 on the deposit, and someone is looking for the next x100!

If you are considering the first option, SOL and APT can be a good option, but NFA and DYOR!

20 to 50x for me - there are altcoins out there now that will see massive returns over the next 12 months and I am hoping to find a couple of them.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: June 17, 2024, 03:51:58 PM
The price of Arcblock is currently £2.36 which is still a 26x for me.

Many would probably think that is enough to completely be out of the trade but to me I just feel we have a lot of the bull run still to go and the price will go a lot higher during the eupohria stage of the bull run when alt coins go up a lot faster.

The price has seen £3.72 already a few weeks ago, I last sold some at £3.34.

I just constantly have in my head thoughts of selling too soon, I feel i will be more gutted if i sell all at current prices and then see it go up to around £10-15 later this year than i would be if i don't sell more now and it goes to zero.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: June 17, 2024, 01:42:03 PM
In my opinion, taking some of the profits from altcoin investments is a good move when the price rises. it is an opportunity that cannot be missed because we don't know whether the price will continue to rise or even when it will reach its peak. Therefore, while the price is rising and it is profitable, take the opportunity to make a profit.
That's what the majority is doing.

Those that can't dispose their altcoins and turn them into profit are holding it for their own purposes. Maybe the profit isn't enough for them to cover.

Or, they've got some other better plan that's being on its way as they hold it. But if you ask me, as long as you're happy and you're in profit, please do.

You might not see those opportunities to come again as the market is very different with altcoins than of Bitcoin.

I also suggest that if you have made a profit from an altcoin, whether it is 10 or 20 percent, then it is better for you to take the profit and not try to hold it any longer. The altcoin market is very risky and when the price has been pumped up there is a possibility that the price will fall again as has happened with the Manta project.

10 or 20% is nothing - I want at least 500% return in the altcoins I am holding and that is possible considering we still have plenty of time left of this bull run including alt season when altcoins go up 50% or more each day.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Turbo - anyone else invested? on: June 17, 2024, 12:02:19 PM
Bought my first lot of turbo today @ £0.005.
By the time that I am writing this, the coin is priced at 0.004 with the market looking red so I am already not that confident about this coin.
Quote
I realise it has pumped a lot over the last 4 weeks or so I am late in that sense but do think it can still net significant returns this bull run for anyone buying now.

£300m market cap, 94% of its supply circulating I thought it was worth a risk and hoping to get a 10x out of it at least this bull run which would only give it a £3B market cap which is nothing compared to other memes.

Anyone else invested and if so how well do you think it will do?
To be honest, I don’t see much potential in this coin. It’s yet another memecoin and it doesn’t seem to have any unique features that make it stand out among other memecoins. I don’t think it will reach a dollar but maybe you can still make some significant profits by holding for longer and waiting for it to come and rise again.

The whole altcoin market has been red for a few weeks now so nothing to be concerned about this particular coin.

I am hoping the price falls down to £0.003 to buy my next lot to bring my average price down. I won't go crazy though as it is a meme coin after all.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin profit - when is being greedy too greedy? on: June 17, 2024, 06:50:40 AM
Since posting this thread 3 weeks ago Arcblock like most other altcoins has been falling.

It fell from £3.72 all the way down to £1.85 a few days ago but has now recovered slightly and price is £2.50.

I am not sure what has caused altcoins to crash last few weeks but hopefully they will recover soon or at least go sideways for a bit and then start going up again in a few weeks.

After watching these altcoins crash over the last few weeks it has made me realise they can fall just as quick as they pump so I will take more profit out soon when it gets close to £3 again.

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Turbo - anyone else invested? on: June 17, 2024, 06:37:14 AM
Let’s see, the price is now at £0.0035 so has been falling the last few weeks but most other altcoins have fallen also.

I haven’t bought any more yet but will do if it goes down to £0.003 to reduce my average.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldfinch - worth investing? (Real world Asset) on: June 15, 2024, 11:31:50 AM
Is anyone investing in Goldfinch or even heard of it?

It is an altcoin I first heard of 2 or 3 months ago and due to this mini crash we are currently seeing a nice discount as it has fallen 40% in the last 30 days and thinking of making my first purchase.

It is a real world asset and I believe this narrative will do really well this bull run.

It's a strange coin to me and I've wondered how it becomes the first AltCoin you heard of of when there're dominance AltCoins out there and besides this seems to be a newly launched Coin. That's if it has been listed in the exchange although the case of hyping in the AltCoins especially the MemeCoins actually create loudly awareness of the Coins that even newbies are being more attracted to the newly launched AltCoins and MemeCoins than the existed crypto coins due to investors aim to quick profits.

It is not the first altcoin I have heard of , I know many altcoins.

I said I first heard of it a few months ago.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldfinch - worth investing? (Real world Asset) on: June 15, 2024, 08:52:33 AM
I have heard of Ondo too but for me it has pumped too much and the market cap is over 20x bigger than Goldfinch so feel Goldfinch has way more room for bigger returns this bull run.

Goldfinch is more risky , but for me I’m happy to take a risk on it due to the current sale price we are seeing of around $2.65.

I have been researching and see some say Goldfinch can see a price of around $50 this bull run which is possible due to the low market cap and would be a 20x return. I will be more conservative and say it can reach $25 IF it does well which would be a 10x.

I will keep an eye on it for now but definitely start investing if it falls below $2.50 price.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we think alt season will be? on: June 14, 2024, 08:05:11 AM
Looking at the chart from 2020 when we had the last bitcoin halving in May , it took 5 months for the alts to really start pumping so i have got it in my head now that it might not come until September.

If that is the case then so be it, 3 more months to wait is not long for great gains but if it comes before in the next month or two then even better.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we think alt season will be? on: June 13, 2024, 11:29:12 AM
I have been looking at the altcoin chart over the last 5 years - i would upload a picture but not sure how to.

The last Bitcoin halving before this year was 11th May 2020 and looking at the chart it looks like the first real pump of that bull run did not start until 5 months later in October.

Can we expect same again this bull run too? That would mean we will not start pumping until September if so.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we think alt season will be? on: June 12, 2024, 05:45:09 PM
Been in this crypto game over 2 years now and I am 100% in altcoins currently and patiently waiting for alt season.

Seriously, What kind of alt season you are still looking for while your current holdings is already at 80% gain despite the mini crash?

Altcoin marketcap is still on insanely high which is equivalent to the bull run marketcap. I think the upside growth potential is smaller compared to the possibility of market crash. So I believe you be looking for market crash rather than altcoin season since we are srill on altcoin season since the price is still on the bullrun price.

A big chunk of my +80% portfolio is down to one altcoin doing over a 30x return for me, without it my overall profit would be a lot lower.

Altcoins in the top 50 or so are nowhere near their all time high and I am looking for them to get back there sometime this year that is when I will be happy, when my portfolio is +1000% or more.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we think alt season will be? on: June 12, 2024, 03:22:12 PM
This topic has been repeated several on this board I can remember you also started on if the posts.

When do we expect the altcoin season or has it already started?

When is the next altcoin season?

I guess the question has been answered here already in your previous post.
The real altcoin season will not happen before 2024-2025. I don't think that if altcoins recovered to their previous prices or even gave x2-x5 profit, it can be called a full-fledged altcoin season. A full-fledged altcoin season was, for example, in 2021, when almost all altcoins that entered the market made huge profits. It is worth waiting for such period, and all these small trends are just tiny earnings. Better to hold on to altcoins until the next global bull run, the market is recovering now.

That is just someone's opinion - would be good to get the overall feel of everyone else too who are also holding altcoins.

I knew 2024 would be a good year overall but didn't realize it wouldn't be really good until the end of the year and its just tiring some weeks waiting for something that feels like is never coming.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When do we think alt season will be? on: June 12, 2024, 02:46:23 PM
Been in this crypto game over 2 years now and I am 100% in altcoins currently and patiently waiting for alt season.

My portfolio is currently +80% overall after this mini crash we have seen in the last few days and I had hoped to have seen more of a return by now.

I have seen some say there will not be an alt season this bull run, some say it wont be till next year and some say it usually comes around 3 months after the Bitcoin halving which would put it around August.

I am hoping we only have a few more months to wait now as my patience is being tested, how is everyone else feeling?
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2024, 08:57:08 PM
I realise I am outnumbered here with most of you only buying Bitcoin , that’s fair enough let’s just see what happens.

I believe I will have a few altcoins that will go to zero but the majority will give me profit and I will have a couple that will give me fantastic profit. I am currently holding one that I am up 32x on and that is even after this mini crash in the last 24 hours , I was up over 40x on it a few weeks ago and I believe at the peak of this bull run it will give me a 75x return at least, hopefully over 100x.

A few of you here are acting like I am only buying altcoins outside the top 1000 which are really high risk. As I mentioned a few times now, the majority of my altcoins are strong altcoins in the current top 40 and they are going to give me at least a 5x , hopefully 10x in the next 6-12 months.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2024, 06:55:07 PM
If I were you I'd exchange all my altcoins to bitcoin ASAP. The only thing I'd hold (if I had it) would be ETH because of the approved ETF. There's a chance it will get a new ATH, just like bitcoin did this year, but be aware that holding altcoins is gambling. They can go to 0, or be reduced in value by over 90%, which bitcoin simply cannot do. It can fail, it can lose value, but you will never see a total 90% meltdown over the course of days or weeks, but you can see altcoins do it, just like Luna did and many other well known scams like bitconnect and all the bitcoin clones. For instance Bitcoin Gold lost over 90% since launch in 2018.

You have to take risks in this game to make life changing money.

I was never going to make life changing money this past 2 years and the coming year just by buying Bitcoin but I can do with the altcoins I am holding.

I repeat , most of my altcoins are in the current top 50 and only have 2 that I consider real gambles - they will either go to zero or could 20x or even 50x my money over the next 12 months. A risk I am willing to take.

We have seen a mini crash in the last 24 hours with some of my altcoins down around 20% but some only 5-10% - they will quickly recover.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2024, 06:50:58 PM
Which is what I advise: For the moment, hang onto those bitcoins and permit them to ride the wave. However, monitor the market closely and begin to take profits and turn them into cash or stablecoins as soon as you notice indications of a high. Then, when the bear market hits – and it will, folks, it always does – thats when you jump in and buy Bitcoin at a discount.
I believe you mean 'hang onto those altcoins', because it is altcoins that op is storing with the plan of converting his profits from them to BTC. This idea looks good in theory, but it does not mean it will turn out exactly like that, altcoins usually lack any utility and it is easy for most of them to lose their value very quickly.

My point in all this is that you could lose your money long before you try to convert it to BTC, and that is why i choose BTC over other coins and i do not fancy op's idea, but each to their own.

We have a big bull run coming over the next 6-12 months , Bitcoin will pump but Altcoins will go crazy.

The way you are talking is like we have a bear market coming up and all Altcoins will die - Altcoins see many returns in bull run peak.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2024, 08:25:24 AM
LegendBTC - let’s just agree to disagree.

I don’t think there is much difference in me being +117% in my altcoins or being +124% in Bitcoin has I only invested in Bitcoin up till now.

I am happy with this position I am in as like I said we still have up to another year of this bull run and altcoins can 10-50x during that time while Bitcoin will likely only 2x , possibly 3x.

The fact I am +117% overall with just altcoins shows you it can be done without Bitcoin and I think there will be an alt season , I get you are against altcoins so would say there probably won’t be one but I think there will be.

I am holding a few altcoins I am currently down on, the worst one I have is currently -40% down. I have some that I have a small profit on currently and have some that have done over a 10x for me and one that has done over a 40x.

I am going to stick to my plan of holding altcoins till the end of this bull run and then cashing that profit into Bitcoin gradually once the price starts going down after this bull run.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2024, 03:17:14 PM
I have just checked on the Bitcoin DCA calculator had I only invested in Bitcoin from November 2021 till today my portfolio would be +124% so not much difference really.
