Seriously guys, this is not FUD.. Delete it if you want but its the truth. I can modify the bittrex API links to point to different sites and everything just using a hex editor on the keytrader.exe? It is not safe in its current state, I recommend using encryption for any values of importance, and they should also be held in a completely separate encrypted file to the exe?

In case anyone missed it we made a couple bug fixes. All future versions will be in this folder, current is v1.35 http://goo.gl/NUEFjHIts a great tool, more efficient than the Web UI for it's tasks. An update from our programmer regarding a PM we received: API Keys are stored locally using 1024-bit Encryption combined with Base64 obfuscation. Your security is our main concern.
API keys are neither stored locally or logically at anytime in plain text.. Keys are decrypted on the fly and only ever stored variably as base64. |

Hi,how many team members are there now?I remember it was 20,but it seems less now.
Keycoin team consists of: one person who made the original coin one person who made the website one person who added on the anon system one person who works on the videos and 3d models one person who is working on the encrypted messaging one person who is working on the keyos distro one person who is working on ordering and burning keyos onto custom usb drives one person who handles PR releases and writing one person who is programming trading tools for keyos one person who manages the twitter one person who creates graphics Not all work constantly of course, but are available when needed. |

I have a question. When I place a sell order for MAX, I am unable to cancel my orders from the UI. I need to do so from the exchange site. I assume this may be caused by not having 100 KEY available for trading once they are all placed? If so, it would be nice to at least be able to cancel an order in this case to unlock the ability to trade. Not sure if it is just me, but this would help with the concept of trading without an exchange.
We will check on it, and update the program ASAP. We already updated from 1.3 to 1.34 (updated all links) tonight and our tool programmer will work on this tomorrow. |

I bet the Fudders are secretly buying more right now. So shameless. I genuinely feel bad for people who sold at a loss due to the drama they caused. But oh well, at least all that is behind us. This new moderated thread is indeed a great idea. I'm sure everyone in this forum, not just keycoin supporters, are sick and tired of seeing pages of crap posts in a thread. This will clean things up a lot and likely set a new standard for coin threads

It's very useful though. I'm using it to cancel orders instead of clicking through a few menus on bittrex.

Data and Limit Trades (only)
KeyTrader was designed to allow users to trade Keycoin along with any other coins on Bittrex.com. One of the most time-consuming processes of placing orders is placing them as spreads so as to reduce risk of calling bottoms and tops during swings or long plays.
KeyTrader utilizes 3 trade templates for buys and sells. Top Heavy, Bottom Heavy, and Balanced. For instance if you call a top price at 200k sats for your play.. and are only somewhat confident, you will choose balanced and place your HIGH @ 200k and LOW @ perhaps 175k pending swing range or other chart indicators at your discretion.
The interface uses auto-calculation which is triggered by changing parameters or numeric fields. Any adjustments to your order settings should be recalculated and reflected in all fields.
The Order cancellation tab is very straight forward.. You may use ctrl+click or shift+click to select multiple orders for cancellation.. or you may use the long-awaited Cancel All! button to cancel all orders.
This application runs on a 12.5 second timer which updates ticker information which appears in the title bar along with balance information and order information. This timer is temporarily disabled while the Order List Box is 'in focus' to allow you to cancel orders without having to worry about your selection being removed after a refresh. Timer resumes upon Order Listbox losing focus.
If you cancel orders.. or place orders.. and they do not appear in the order listbox immediately please either wait 12 seconds or hit the refresh button. Also, in times of high trade volumes on Bittrex, order cancellations may be slow, so please wait, they do work. It could take as much as a minute for an order to cancel, but it should take 12 - 24 seconds to reflect the changes in the Order Tab.

KeyOS "alpha" is working and in the wild now and being tested by a few people. It's still rough and we were advised by testers to release more of a complete polished project for an initial release. Right now its like an entire page of instructions to get it running properly, related to encrypted persistent disk partitions. We'll finish a more polished version and release it as a beta within the next week. If you're linux savvy and would like to test the alpha, please PM the keycoin dev account. |

Since the launch of the project and our very first dev posts, we have been honest and devoted to our community.In our first post we explained our desire to make sure we don’t build a coin based upon the hype of forthcoming features only to continuously fail to meet them like other coins out there, but to deliver on time updates and improvements over time to create a coin that grows in value and creates a unique and safe trading environment for our supporters. we accomplish this instead by setting deadlines and meeting them with our diverse, forward thinking, and efficient team. A team so strong and that it even gained the endorsement of a prominent and well respected developer in the community that has a currency of his own.

Goals (in no particular order and not a complete list):

The KEY code:

I was invited to a private channel with an extremely organized and eager development team. There are over 20 guys in here with skill sets ranging from proficiencies in various computing languages, graphic designers, web developers, 2 3D rendering studios, Linux system admins, they even have guys with 3D printers exchanging custom designs for the KEYos and merchandise.
I also noted a great deal of cross collaboration, with many prominent developers from the community contributing to the success of the coin and the quality of the code.
They have their ears open and they are open to acting on not only my suggestions, but those that emanate from the community itself. Since innovation is what drives cryptocurrency, I decided to accept the opportunity to review the code and the team.
Peer Review:
In reviewing the code, I did a basic review of the entire code base and a more in-depth analysis of the anonymous related portions.
The additional clustering abilities within the protocol itself provide an ideal solution in preventing block analysis, and to take it even 1 step further, the developers have implemented a ring layer on the protocol allowing the transaction to take multiple pass’s through the cluster, further anonymizing the transaction.
Since the entire protocol including the enhancements are encrypted it is impossible to gain any information by sniffing the network.
The protocol enhancements have been integrated correctly and based on my own testing perform as expected and haven’t created any security vulnerabilities.
As my time very limited, I will leave it up to the Key Dev's to handle any questions

I find it funny how the altcoin community complains about all the "shitcoins" that come out, but for every new coin, they dump the ones that are works in progress and jump on the newest released coins.
It's not really the devs to blame for this trend, releasing all these scam and shit coins. It the altcoin community, they show with their bitcoins that they dont care about many projects, they just want to jump on the next train. Stop blaming the devs for creating more coins and then abandoning them and moving to the next. They abandon them because their communities and investors do first. If you believe in a project, we should all work together and support and promote it.
With that said, KEY has had some tumultuous price waves over the last two days. We the dev team are still strong and believe in our project. We're moving forward. Anon is working and underway and we will have an explanation and infographics on this soon.
Yes, the USB metal key is going to be a mix of Tails, Tor, and the KEY wallet. You will be able to plug the usb KEY into any usb port on your pc, boot up and be connected only to Tor encrypted without any DNS leaking or other programs making connections through regular IP. Coins will be sent through the anonymous mixers and through Tor. Best would be to use the KEY on a laptop and a public wifi.
There's a lot of things to be done and we're doing our best to meet all the goals. We've brought a couple more members on the team to help with content writing and infographics so we can present more to the community. I'm working on the website and hope to be live tonight, or possibly tomorrow.

A website is under development, for now our holding page is up at www.keycoincrypto.comAs mentioned in the previous post, we leased more servers. We are now running 8 nodes for the coin, all staking to increase POS network health. 12 more servers have been rented so we can implement our anonymous coin sending technology. We aren't making a huge deal out of this yet, but yes, it is working, and yes, it will be completely finished and released in the next few days. We will have explanations and infographics closer to the release - for now, we don't want to hype things up too much. More features are coming, and will be announced closer to their completion. |
