41  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Migration of Millionaires. Can Bitcoin change this scenario? on: August 21, 2020, 07:08:44 PM
In many dictatorial countries, millionaires and billionaires are the ones who really rule the country and have a great influence on the heads of state, because it is often the money of these people that brought others to power.
However, I agree with you that all people strive for where they have more freedom. A person always wants to break the shackles or get out of the cage in which they are trying to keep him by force.
Therefore, any dictatorship is doomed. The opposition always becomes the current government in the future, as it strives for freedom.
Bitcoin is an excellent example of how a tool that increases the level of human freedom is gaining more and more popularity amid various restrictions and attempts to restrict it among classical systems.

43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I restart a dead altcoin and continue the development?? on: August 18, 2020, 10:00:51 PM
Don't bother to, it's a waste of time, investors will still remember a project that was once dead, there won't be any demand for such project without getting investors worry, and some projects failed due to exit scam or pump and dump, it's wise to start building your own Project

In fact, it is very difficult to revive a project, it is easier to create a new one.
After all, you have to do a rebranding, a new marketing campaign, to gather a community that already considers the project forgotten, plus people will have a residue from the past failure. In order to take such risks, you need to have a very good background for the project, otherwise it is easier to create something new based on the old one.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Growing number of institutionnal investors on: August 08, 2020, 05:56:09 PM
since 2017, the cryptocurrency market has changed a lot and one of the most important achievements in the cryptocurrency market is futures trading. It seems to me that it is the availability of futures on the cryptocurrency market that makes it possible to organize arbitrage trading to the right extent. As for institutional investors, the infrastructure is gradually being created in the cryptocurrency market, for example, the Huobi Group has launched an over-the-counter platform for large players. At the same time, BitGo created a clearing system of a similar level. I believe that it was the current transfer that was marked by a very strong relationship between the stock and cryptocurrency markets.
During the pandemic cryptocurrency has become a view of people as a good asset storage for new people. In my view, the increase in investors is happening. I am sure there will be many new projects in the community's view because this game is only a term and they know the risk will be borne by themselves. is a good and advanced future for cryptocurrency in this pandemic. Popularity will develop fast

During the pandemic, many people lost their jobs and therefore their livelihoods. Millions have become unemployed. In your opinion, in such conditions, they thought how to invest the last remaining funds in bitcoin for storage? I don’t think so.On the contrary, people try to keep cash, which will be appreciated in almost any bad outcome.

45  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Problems covid19 cause on: August 08, 2020, 05:49:36 PM
The main problem with this virus is that politicians will do anything to leave their asses in their chairs. Half of the decisions made are downright bad. The virus is contagious but not as deadly as it could.
All that is needed is a sufficient number of places in hospitals and trained personnel, which no country has coped with (except for those that hide statistics).
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to Sell LEDU on Dcoin!! Fake Volume? on: August 07, 2020, 10:32:48 PM
Quite possibly. The coin exchange is known for its fake volumes for completely different coins. I had to deal with her several times, each time I was faced with problems associated with strange order behavior.
When I tried to sell, my order always fell below the price I needed, while the trades were very active, but with the same periodicity in time and small amounts.

47  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: August 07, 2020, 10:30:20 PM
This case in more depended on government economic politics. Usually the governments will try to somehow control the crypto currencies and creating new digital currencies in just a simple thing to do. However as far as I know the governments won't provide the crypto currencies by themselves, they will use some kind of proxy. For example, highly trusted and government related people or companies will do the job.
Anywayz, Governments creating currencies of their own is a good positive sign of development of this new technology.

Who knows. I think if any country succeeds in creating its own really effective token, then this precedent will become an example for everyone else. So far there is nothing like it, just a pathetic semblance of attempts, like the crypto peso. In any case, banks are very cunning and will not allow an unstable token to spoil their reputation, so we may not see a working example very soon.

48  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JETWIN CASINO HAS OFFICIALLY REFUSED TO PAY ANY OF MY 25,000 DOLLARS IN WINNINGS on: August 07, 2020, 10:13:48 PM
If for a long time your relationship with the platform was in order and all your conclusions were approved on a regular basis, then you just have to continue the dialogue.
I don’t think they will decide to pocket your winnings just because it’s a big win. Revenue from such platforms is much higher.

How long have you been playing on this platform? Have you ever withdrawn large sums from there?

The thing is, the said "upper support" demanded a fee before they will allow OP to withdraw his winnings.  This is an in your face scamming.  Notice the  point of the casino representative on the telegram saying that they cannot touch the players money when OP ask them to deduct the fee from his fund and yet threatening the player that they will add it to the jackpot as a donation.  It is now a question if that representative from telegram is real support of that Casino, better to ask that person to send all their demands via email then see if they will use the official Jetwin support email.

Everything is correct. Almost everything that is discussed in the telegram is very similar to a fraudulent scheme, after which a given support specialist can disappear in an unknown direction.
The fact that they cannot touch the players' funds is complete nonsense.

49  Economy / Economics / Re: Brace yourselfs , the economic earthquake is coming ... on: August 07, 2020, 09:56:27 PM
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.4%, over 100 points, on Friday, while the S&P 500 rose 0.8% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite gained 1.5%.

The Dow fell by nearly 300 points earlier in the day, but the market recovered and turned positive thanks to continued strength in Big Tech stocks.

Three of the biggest U.S. tech companies—Apple, Amazon and Facebook—reported earnings and revenue that crushed Wall Street expectations late on Thursday.

Apple rose 10% to a new all-time high on Friday, boosting the market higher, while also announcing a 4-for-1 stock split that was cheered by investors.

While shares of Big Tech companies are among the best-performing stocks so far this year, there are rising concerns on Wall Street that heavy market concentration in this handful of big names could pose downside risks to the market.

Consumer sentiment fell to 72.5 in July—down from 78.1 last month—amid the resurgence in new coronavirus cases across the country, according to data from the University of Michigan.

Shares of companies that would benefit from a reopening of the economy—including airlines, cruise stocks, banks and some retailers—moved lower again on Friday.

50  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and some metals HAVE intrinsic value! Paper does not on: August 06, 2020, 07:19:07 PM
Bitcoin has no physical reference in the world. If an electromagnetic shock damages the electronics of the entire planet, then Bitcoin will temporarily cease to exist, as well as the entire infrastructure for its use.
While precious metals will still be in demand, as they can be exchanged for something of value. Including cash, it will be in use in the case of such karastrophes.

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More than 50% of bitcoins from Twitter hack have been sent through mixers on: July 31, 2020, 06:34:42 PM
They are hackers and thieves, for sure they are aware of the usage of mixers and even thought of it as part of their plan.

What does "Cashed out" mean?Does it mean that they have sold the BTC for fiat money and have withdrawn the cash or it means something else?
Probably it's the first choice.

It's likely that they were able to exchange it for fiat already and that makes them harder to track since they've used a mixer for those funds.

The question is why use any method other than mixers at all, I mean exchanges. Just check? But this can lead to the fact that they leave traces.
Or it really is part of their plan. Given the scale of the hack, these hackers don't strike me as dumb. Although there are indeed contradictions in their actions.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Space Race Wagers? on: July 31, 2020, 06:22:04 PM
I think the US is now number 1 in the space race. In any case, they have Elon Musk with his brilliant ideas.
In general, the idea of colonizing Mars seems pretty silly to me. Some countries cannot divide the land under their feet, some suffer from hunger and disease, the option of World War III is not excluded. And a huge amount of resources is spent on the development of dead space.
I disagree with this common argument. The conquest of space gives a goal to humanity and brings us all together. Furthermore it has been shown to disrupt technology.

What purpose does this give? Fly off the planet?
We cannot get along on one planet full of resources, we are waging constant wars and strife. Wars are still going on, people are still starving. We cannot know what will happen tomorrow.
What if some Iran or North Korea will unleash a nuclear war, what good will Mars be for us? Where will you fly from a radioactive piece of earth?
Why should we set distant goals outside our planet when we can try to solve problems here and live in peace and prosperity. I cannot understand this.

You need to have received a minimum of 10 Merit int he last 120 days in order to join this campaign (If you apply knowing you have less you may be added to a blacklist).

It looks like the rules of the game have changed and now you need 10 merits. You should probably delete your application to avoid being blacklisted.

By the way, I think it was high time to make a minimum limit of 10. Will this be the case in all companies or only in this one?
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 31, 2020, 03:20:55 PM
Well, pretty much since childhood we have been playing with games of chance. Childhood has some petty gambling-like games like marbles and collector item card games where the losing party will give certain number of marbles and collectors item cards so it is not really cash or crypto gambling if you can call it as such. Betting started in playing sports where friends or classmates can make bets and give a little of their daily allowance to the pot. Many other examples can be shown that you can also find younger persons also likes to gamble.  The legal age should be imposed to gambling in a legal gambling place like a casino or poker house and I think the legal age should be at least 20. 18 for me is too young to make rational decisions and furthermore more susceptible to bad habits and bad company of persons that might ruin the young gambler's life.

Yes, there are many probability games in childhood. There are even games in which there is a substitute for real money, such as chips of various kinds. But this is not real money. It seems to me that if at an early age children play for real money, they will grow up with a wrong understanding and attitude towards money. They can take more risks and treat money as something not serious, on which nothing depends. I think this is the path to addiction.

57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 31, 2020, 02:04:52 PM
I guess the right age is 21 to gamble because they're more matured but it dosn't make sense because its easy to other youngsters to enter in any sites however its too dangerous to others for being addictive of doing it and its so easy for 18 below to enter gambling in sites because of verification they just tell that they're 18 and tadah they are allowed to open any sites so maybe make it hard about the security.

At 18, most people don't go to work or earn money yet. Most of them live off their parents and receive pocket money from their parents. That is, the majority do not have free access to money.
It is very easy to lose at a casino, and it is also very easy to feel the need to win back. So you need to find more money in order to win back, because then you can return it. The younger we are, the easier we get into debt without understanding the risks for which our parents pay later.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: July 31, 2020, 01:44:03 PM
I guess that's the problem with these hardware wallet providers. They're so focused on keeping their hardware wallets and custody solutions safe, that they forget that hackers often target other types of data—including customer personal info.

I highly doubt any of it will be used to successfully scam anyone. After all, Ledger has just sent out an email explaining the situation. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the attacker tries to send out a phishing email under the guise of Ledger to scam victims. The fact they haven't done this already indicates they didn't intend to use the data for nefarious purposes.

Hackers are not idiots. They perfectly understand that everyone is now expecting an attack. They can wait a year, two, three. And then carry out a planned attack on users whose data is leaked, or with their help to gain access to something else. Users must be prepared for everyone throughout their future lives. After all, knowing the necessary information, you can prepare a very sophisticated attack that even the most critical will believe in.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to win at casino on: July 30, 2020, 02:58:25 PM
The casino will never allow you to win on a consistent basis, even if you do everything honestly. You will simply be added to the blacklist. Casino games are designed in such a way that you would lose more often than win, but you will definitely be able to win in the short term, but in the long term, even with a strategy, you will have to bypass many casinos every time you get blacklisted and hope that in the new casino everything will work like this as good as it was with the past and that they haven't heard of you there yet.
Well, I don't agree with this. We all know that the chances of winning in such casinos are very slim but it doesn't mean that you didn't allow to win consistently in casinos. It's a matter of luck that perhaps will lead you from winning towards the casino. And besides, --casino has a provably fair algorithm system that they can't be manipulated all bets by the players.

You contradict yourself. Luck is an accident. If we say that someone is lucky, we assume that he will not be lucky forever. What you are talking about, if you follow your logic, is possible only if the person is constantly lucky. But where are the guarantees? And why then are most people unlucky in the casino? They are just less fortunate than others?
