41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Bitcoin pitch? on: December 23, 2014, 02:11:34 PM
My pitch is: BUY BITCOINS OR DIE. I then tell them about the impending apocalypse and collapse of the economy and fiat money  Cheesy.
42  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-09] Video: Bitcoin might fail but the blockchain is here to stay - on: December 10, 2014, 03:49:22 PM
Bitcoin IS the blockchain. They'll figure it out eventually.

Surely you can't have one with without the other? Without the payment in bitcoins why would people keep the network going? I agree that the blockchain is more useful than just a money transmitter network, though.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mozilla removed BTC from Donation Form on: December 10, 2014, 03:47:41 PM
Donation pages need to be simple and not crowded. Otherwise people might just click off. That's probably why they noticed a drop in revenue.

Except it was simple and not crowded with the addition of bitcoin. If you look at the picture in the link it was just a barely noticable option to donate at the bottom. I doubt most people will have even noticed it.
44  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-25] ABC Video: Find Out Which Stores Will Accept Bitcoin on BlackFriday on: November 29, 2014, 11:33:28 AM
I think the answer is 'not many' at the moment. I think this will grow over the years though.

Did she really just say "all the bitcoins were completely hacked".   Huh

 Grin

*SCAM*

Did a who is on this domain and found:

Hosted in PANAMA!??!!?!?

What's a scam? This

There is a simpler way to find out:)

http://bitcoindiscounts.net

I haven't clicked on it (don't trust many sites round here) but isn't it just advertising or is there something malicious?
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pay for items using bitcoin instead of credit card? on: November 29, 2014, 11:15:45 AM
Well there's coin2pal.info, but they give the worst value for your coins.
Is this legit?

I wouldn't trust any of these bitcoin/paypal sites, but there are trusted people on the marketplac here who will exchange your coins for paypal.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the new 3 billion Euro Hedge fund take bitcoin to moon? on: November 13, 2014, 01:36:06 PM
Cant see any sign that they are actualy investing in BTC.

The sign might be in the price rising since yesterday, maybe they know something in China we don't know yet

I think maybe he was being sarcastic. The 100 point rally led by OKCoin might be a sign.

That may be just the usual traders believing the rumor and acting on it.  Or them expecting "the next bubble" by comparison with 2011 or 2013, and trying to get ahead of it.  Or some other reason that we haven't heard of.

I'm inclined to believe this. This hedge fund could be irrelevant or even false, but all it takes is hype or bad news to send the price one way or the other.

47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this another bubble? on: November 13, 2014, 01:17:08 PM
If you think because it has declined from $450 that that was the bubble, then you haven't been around for many bubbles.

Best thing to do is strap yourself in and be prepared for the ride of your life.

I'm not sure the ride of our life is going to happen but I'm sure what goes up most come down eventually. Hope to see it keep rising up before it comes down a bit, though  Grin.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you work for Bitcoins? (not bitpay etc) on: October 29, 2014, 04:58:28 PM
I don't know how I'd feel about actually getting paid in bitcoins. I think it'd be too risky to take all of it in btc, but maybe a small percentage of it instead. I like to buy a little everymonth but I decide at the time and depends on the market rate.
49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Police - Your friend and helper on: October 29, 2014, 04:45:31 PM
Looks like bitcoin police is doing a good job. You should put your bitcoin address in your signature. You never know you might get a few tips  Wink.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which offline wallet do you use, and why? on: October 20, 2014, 01:50:56 PM
Just use any lite client that doesn't download the entire blockchain and then keep the wallet.dat file offline and backed up several times and you should be fine with that.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 20, 2014, 01:34:53 PM
As the title says why bitcoin price is not rebounding ? It is not bouncing back to its original value. It still didn't reached the min 450$. I think now price will be steady at 380$.
Any reason why its not getting his real value after crashing?

What is bitcoin's original value exactly? And the price did rebound, then went down a little, then up a little, then blah blah blah. Bitcoin does what bitcoin does - goes up and down. No point trying to find logic in it or reasons why it does what it does.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What more does it mean mainstream for bitcoin? on: September 30, 2014, 03:03:37 PM
Mainstream adoption means adoption by the mainstream. Most places need to accept it and you need to be able to spend it. At the moment there very few places where you can do this.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to make bitcoin illegal? on: September 30, 2014, 02:55:33 PM
Under what legitimate grounds do these bastards even have to make something like bitcoin illegal?
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you keep your fiat? on: September 16, 2014, 06:54:16 PM
Some in my bank, some in my wallet and some under my bed. I've got about 50/50 of my wealth in cash vs bitcoin. I don't plan to sell bitcoins for a while though.
55  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't you wish you never had any alcohol? on: September 16, 2014, 06:31:34 PM
I don't drink or smoke so I already save a lot of money  Cheesy.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it the right time to invest on BTC on: September 14, 2014, 04:26:19 PM
Yes it's the right time. If you're hoping for a collapse before you buy in I think you might be out of luck. I think it's only a matter of time before we see a big price spike.
57  Other / Off-topic / Re: We’ve got a $35 Firefox OS phone on: September 14, 2014, 04:16:47 PM
Good news. One thing we need for bitcoin adoption is cheap and affordable smart phones for people in the developing world.
58  Other / Off-topic / Re: Celeb Nudes leaked (sold for bitcoin?) on: September 01, 2014, 02:02:30 PM

Is there any info on how these pictures were obtained?

This seems the kind of collection people at NSA have... Cheesy

Makes you wonder how many dodgy pics and photos the NSA have on all our politicians and world leaders.

Lots of potential for blackmail and coercion Wink

I'm sure they know better than to take these sort of photos.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Leaks Celebrity Nudes for BTC on: September 01, 2014, 12:27:44 PM
Seriously, why would it damages to Bitcoin? It only damages to Apple, if we consider a damage is caused.

Well it could further smear bitcoin in the eyes of the ignorant general public who think all it is used for is 'bad stuff'.
60  Economy / Services / Re: win88.me - signatures - 0.15 BTC paid up front on: August 18, 2014, 02:21:52 PM
Im planning on joining here very soon sucks the btc value went down though

Just hold it till it goes back up. It's no biggie and that's the beauty of bitcoin.
