Can I please get an update on the hardfork and any progress made with unlocking bittrex wallets.
It would be greatly appreciated!
Is Bittrex still locked? I thought that was fixed?

I know Poloniex is still disabled (more than a week now)  so if the devs could give them a kick up the pants too that would be great.

New wallet (v4.1.0) shows "you are staking" with no estimate until next reward - is that correct? I know the timing is a bit hit and miss, but just wondered if this is now normal?

It has been removed since it was never accurate and was a pain in the ass having to explain to noobies how PoS works over and over and over and over.

Thanks Dude. makes sense  Grin

Why has NAV disappeared from Changelly? You can't convert to or from Nav anymore?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: December 04, 2017, 12:17:51 AM
I have not received a stake reward since Nov 1,2017. I had three orphan stakes though. My wallet has been open for staking 24/7. During that time I added some NAV coins to the wallet Nov 26/2017. I noticed my wallet balance was understated and I did a repair wallet, which corrected the balance and removed the orphan transactions from the list. I have restarted the wallet a few times and disabled and enabled staking too see if that would do anything. The expected reward notifications goes from 3 days to as close to 8 hours then back to 3 days but nothing is staking. Based on NavCoin info for my wallet quantity I should be getting about 2 to3  stakes a month which is my past history.

The wallet version is NavCoin Core version v4.0.6.0-769c949-dirty (64-bit) and my vote for the change in staking reward was counted. I installed from navcoin 4.0.6-x86_64linux-gnu.tar.gz and am using linux mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64 - bit.

Any information, suggestions or comments welcomed.

I think you were just unlucky this month. If you only get 2-3 per month, it's not that difficult to imagine you get none for one month. And you had those orphans too. Maybe too few connections in the wallet?
NAV had always as far as I can remember much variance in staking. For days I got nothing and then one day I could get as much as almost for one week.

Could be just the luck of the draw. I always have a maximum of  8 connections showing in the wallet. Should it be higher?
I have only ever had a maximum of 8 connections and I'm staking fine, So just hang in there Smiley

Unfortunately there is no support here who answers to my question Sad
I try it the last time Cheesy
One question: When I download the NavCoin Core 4.0.6 my kaspersky always deletes it: "FOUND: UDS:DANGEROUSOBJECT.MULTI.GENERIC" is that false positive? Just curious....

I keep telling the devs to frequent the place everyone found out about NAV but they insist on going on stupid platforms like slack and now its somewhere else.

In answer to your question tho (and I'm NOT a dev) As long as you downloaded it from an official source (Navcoin.org etc.) and not a link on a weird forum, it should be fine.

Many others have reported it shows a problem on some virus software but it's absolutely fine.

Hope this helps

False positive. Sometimes antiviruses take qt wallets as virus. No need to worry about.

Bitcointalk is slow. Since we moved to Slack, Telegram and now Discord communication has improved a lot.

Ginger, I've been telling you for more than a year to join any of those platforms. At the end of the day it's up to you to be in the loop!

As I have previously said. I found out about NAV here. I get ALL of my alt coin news here, in one place, just like many others. The idea I have to give my user information to another platform that others have access to doesn't appeal to me.

Discord etc. is a social media platform for many things. Bitcointalk is just CRYPTO. thats all I am interested in.

I am shocked no one understands this principal. The people who helped build NAV live on here as they are interested in Crypto. The devs don't even answer personal messages anymore, so despite it being a community that was built on here they abandon it?

Development is so much better these days but communication is the worse it has ever been. "OOOH joins slack..... oh no its been hacked - join this one now..... thats what I said and I was right.

It appears they are all going to the address NZTwZmcFhUxwtbZPqonqSEnD9QYMG7ZUnG that is number 436 on the rich list!

What the actual Flux?

I got about 9 dead stakes come in at 00.49 GMT (all at the same time) and thats when this suspect address above has been getting all the stakes.... and also withdrawing them from his wallet....

Whats happened to the Blockchain? All the stake transactions appear to be going to just 2 addresses for the last couple of hours....

Is soopy still involved in this?

No mate he left about a year ago.

Well that is a positive

Lol, its been non stop updates and upgrades since he left. Kudos to the new devs!

The new devs are headed up by Ed Sheerans twin and a load of Kiwi's (New Zealand based) . They are a force to be reckoned with - I can't fault them apart from them not posting on here very often. But hey, I can live with that with all the advances they have made.

You need to jump in the instant messaging wagon mate... Discord, Telegram...Lot's of talk. That's why this Blog is not active anymore. Been telling you since the end of 2016...

I know you have mate. I am still stuck in the 80s  Grin

Every altcoins are up , nav is down ? Why ?

We have a RETARD who has permanent 50k nav buy and sells scaring people away. If you take away his orders there are only like 10 BTC buy orders. He seems to think that 50k (which is more than most people own) is a sensible amount to put as a buy and sell order. Newcomers see those orders and think "I have to compete with someone who is trying to buy 50k nav" so they either walk away or can see what he is trying to do a mile off and look for another coin. Its there in black an white. The bots are doing the small trades (kind of normal) but have a look at the buy orders it goes form less than 1 BTC and then jumps up 8 BTC because of our resident RETARD. then further down the list he has more 8 BTC buys.

The difference in his buy and sells is not massive, so he isn't making that much money - If he let the market do its own thing, more people would come on board and he would make more money as real demand will push the price up. But yes all other ALTS are going up and down with BTC fluctuation but we are just stuck with RETARD boy.

As Elon Musk says - demand is more beneficial than price as more demand pushes up prices.

Yeah he can do what he wants with his money, but I don't think he has got the idea of how simple economics works or how easy people see what he is doing.

Its called market like it or not works that way, and everybody follows his own interest.

As I said, he can do what we wants with his cash. But when his buy orders are bigger than the entire turnover for a day thats called being retarded. Look at the history. It is him creating the spikes once a day with the big buy and sells to himself.

Even ETH with it's 2500 BTC daily volume doesn't have those kind of buy orders lol.

I've asked this many times, how much NAV does the team own? Is it impossible to answer it?

I am sure they can answer that easy but it is not relevant.

Here is why:
  • There was no premine
  • Their holdings are either bought or mined in the PoW phase

I like to compare it like this. If you joined the development team tomorrow, would you have to sell your NAV Coins to fund the project, work for the project and spend time on the project? While others sit behind their computer asking for updates..

Also, this has nothing to do with the community fund. The community fund is not for the Core team. It is a fund for everyone wanting to contribute to NAV Coin.

Actually thats not quite technically true.....

What was the deal that happened when Soopy and shahim (the original devs) "left" ? And Craig took over? If I recall correctly there was a LOT of coins that were NOT claimed and there was talk of burning them but that was like 18 months ago maybe. That was going to go towards a dev fund...... Perhaps someone could clear that up? I certainly don't expect the devs to work for free and Have given them many donations over the years that are worth tens of thousands of dollars today but yeah I would like to know how much they hold but more importantly what happened to the coins that went from Summercoin to nav and then Nav v1 to Nav V2?

so how many coins didnt get claimed?
is the dump already over or are we still waiting for the mega dump to come?

wtf is this? so there was actually a coin switch with millionns of coins not claimed and nobody knows where the coins went?

GOOD PROJECT
GOOD COMMUNITY

good russian scam

No, definitely not a scam. As I said I have been with this coin for over 3 years.

As far as I am aware there was a date set for people to exchange old coins for new, then in addition to this the devs did offer to convert coins manually for people long after the deadline passed.

There is more than likely a very simple explanation, but like the Soopy "cloak and dagger disappearing act" it hasn't been relayed to the community very well if at all.
