In as much as we pay good attention to money related stuffs, and other activities of our lives, we mustn't neglect our health care. It's important that we try our possible best to visit a doctor ones in a while, with the current happening situations going on in our economy, it's advise to check your BP once in a while, Grin so you don't collapse off the terrible new from the feeds.
Salt being one of the most important and widely use seasoning, however has its advantages and disadvantages. It has been discovered that salt consumption in high quantities has boosted a high rate of cardiovascular disease amongst the Europeans. To tell how dangerous this high consumption of slat can effect a human, about 10,000 death are recorded daily from cardiovascular disease which is caused by the excessive intake of salt. Though this is a discovery from the Europeans nations, but let's not wait until it happens to us before we learn, we can find excessive salting in some canned foods like sardines and some processed food, including snacks. Let's not deceive ourselves consuming one or two will actually not cause a cardiovascular disease, but continuous consumption will, and that's why we shouldn't enjoy ourselves to the extent of destroying some organs in our system.

Here is a quote from the source
Quote
Fifty-one of the 53 countries in the WHO’s European region have an average daily salt intake above the WHO’s recommended maximum of five grams, or one teaspoon, largely due to processed foods and snacks.
“High salt intake raises blood pressure, which is a leading risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes,”

From the statistics table provided by the op, any investors who sell now will only end up running into loss. Before now, the prediction of the bull is $150k and that is possible because other halving have done likewise. Those who sell now will only come to a realisation that they have just made one of the biggest mistake, except they are selling to buy more at that dip. But one thing is certain, we don know how and what the next movement of Bitcoin would be, do selling now might even lead to loss, as this might even be the dip. Bitcoin investment is not for the weak, and if you must short term trade, you must be smart. However long term trader are the ones benefiting more from Bitcoin because they exercise more patient.
in Bitcoin investment you are to put in what you can't afford to loose unlike altcoins that are mixed up with scam project, Bitcoin being the first and the greatest is the most trustworthy and efficient coin for saving your money. If you think saving in fiat currency is the best idea, you are wrong because, inflation is by the corner infection our currency serious and we don't even know the future of the value our currency would hold in some few years from now. But it's certain that Bitcoin will rise as demand cut across the supply chain.
50  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Reason why crypto network dust traditional banks on: May 11, 2024, 08:26:43 PM
Crypto currency is a very nice invention by Satoshi, when compared with fiat banks, you don't need much to start up a crypto wallet. In fact, there is no KYC form while trying to create a wallet which make it's faster an easier to set up a crypto wallet. During festive periods like Christmas and December holiday, we offen get this general network issue with both your cards and mobile transaction especially when you need it the most. Bulky transaction is also an added advantage to the crypto currency network over the fiat banks. With crypto currency you can send very large amount of money without any transaction limit. Crypto also helps you stay anonymous making if difficult for some one to know all your moves.

Greetings to you all

During my research and findings, I discovered Bitcoin was created for the purpose of breaking the barrier between using a third party be it trusted or not as a mediator in any financial transaction. And third party in our traditional financial system is the banks which help in safe keeping of our funds and also help in running transactions when requested for. However it is usually said that Bitcoin do not have a third party issuance unlike traditional banks, but from my findings I've come to notice that nodes and miners are actually third parties in the network. Without them there would be no confirmed transaction or new coins running into existence. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Although it's almost impossible for all nodes and miners to stop working, but let's say it eventually happened fictionally, what would be the outcome? Is is there something I'm missing???

● lnvest when you know is on the bearish season

Op with the little knowledge I have acquired from reading about Bitcoin I disagree that investment should be made when it's on a bearish Season alone. Th n what about the Use of DCA strategy which implies that you are to make small chromatical installation of investment due to your ability. I doubt that Waiting for the bear season is the right thing to do when you have your funds at hand for investment.

● Invest what you can afford to lose

Investing what you can afford to lose? Really? Then what about those great Bitcoin enthusiasts who have thousands of Bitcoin worth over billions of Naira, do you insist that they should sell off their Bitcoin because of the risk associated? I think this statement should be directed to altcoins only, and it would have been much better if you segmented Bitcoin guide from altcoins because, they both have different price movements and reputation.

● Make a proper research before you invest bitcoin

It's essential that one know what he/she is getting emself/herself into before comitting their effort and finance to it. Well for Bitcoin you don't need much of knowledge before you can start investment, all you need is to know the basics of how wallet and transaction operates. But for altcoins you'll need to make extensive research which might not even be able to give a 100% prove that the coin would be a profitable coin.

Hello guys

I believe we're all familiar with the upcoming halving and the term halving itself, so this thread won't be carrying any strange content. However the halving is predicted to occur this month, and any moment from now it might occur but the question is, what are the benefits of the halving? To some miners it's just a reduction to their reward which is kind of discouragement to them, because the cost of fuel or electricity would always remain the same or increase if possible, and after the halving comes the price correction which would also reduce the price of Bitcoin drastically. Initially the halving was encoded into the Bitcoin network to continue to reduce the miners reward by 2 until there are no more Bitcoin to be mined.

But all those are the disadvantages of the halving, why don't we talk about the advantages, the halving reduces the miners reward by 2 and that create scarcity which in turn make the worth of Bitcoin to increase when compared with USD or any other valuable asset. The worth of Bitcoin when the reward was 50btc  is far lower than what we have now for 6.25, so definitely miners will still have enough to pay their bills and still have some profits because the worth of Bitcoin will increase no matter what. So those who are yet to start holding, or those thinking of selling their Bitcoin to chase after some shitcoin, there is still hope of Bitcoin giving you a valuable profit if only you hold and exercise patient.

57  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin withstand attacks by state-level agents? on: April 10, 2024, 11:22:26 PM
The reputational damage for Crypto currencies  will have the biggest impact, if this succeeds. ( People will lose trust in Crypto currencies in general)

Exactly what was going on in my mind. If this attack is executed, it gives a negative feedback to not only users of crypto but to everyone across the world. The reason many person dive into Bitcoin investment and not all altcoins is because of the security and reputation of Bitcoin, if that is broken then, no altcoin would be trusted anymore and that might mark the beginning of the downfall of cryptocurrency. However there are approximately 18,000 nodes running now, and if any attack can be executed it means the attacker must have about 9180 nodes which is quite a large number of nodes to set up.

Hello guys, thanks for the materials, advise and information provided, appreciate all your efforts.

Here are some questions I have been able to put together as I read through some Links:

1 how can running a node help you personally?/ what are the advantages of running a node?

2 if Bitcoin wallet denied a transacted because you don have the sufficient amount you which to transfer, then how does a node detect such transaction. that is, spending more Bitcoin than they own?

3 if I make a double spending, what is the possibility that the first transaction would get confirmed first?
59  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Need mentorship on: April 08, 2024, 09:35:26 PM
I crave learning the technical aspects of Bitcoin.

As already said, learnmeabitcoin.com is a good start.
I advise you play around on testnet as much as you can and... start asking here exact, specific questions. You'll get answers (some better than others) and directions. I think that this is the most realistic way to move forward.

Thank you all for your support and materials, I'm on it now, and I have started jotting down some questions, and I believe I'll find answers here, but for the main time I'll continue my reading and after I have gained enough knowledge I'll start dropping my questions to gain more clarity.

May I ask if I'm to drop the questions here of create another thread ?
60  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Need mentorship on: April 06, 2024, 08:24:41 AM
Hello guys

I've been watching the technical board for quite some time now and say, it looks a bit confusing to asimulate what I read, I don't know if it's because I don't have a good background of programming, software design.... But my main reason of visiting the technical discussion board is because I crave learning the technical aspects of Bitcoin. Now I'm fully equipped, I just bought a PC and all I need right now is a guide to help me build my basic knowledge of the technical aspects.

I promise to put in practice and produce result if I get a mentor to help me through the process. Please I need advice and guide

Thank you.
