41  Economy / Economics / Re: Energy Crisis 2.0 in the New World Order era on: January 13, 2024, 08:09:57 PM
The constant collapse of energy in countries have determined their economic productivity. All the powerful countries depends on power supplies for their productive economy.

Over the years energy crisis have become part of the international political economics of states. The producers of petrol and diesel power generators have seen that, the moment power supplies increases, especially in African states, sales will definitely fall .

What they do to keep sponsoring the energy crisis in Africa is by collaborating with those in the energy sector investors to keep the collapse of energy supplies and become suppliers of generators.

The solution to all this is effective governance and it is for government take the private hands out of the energy sector and manage it by the government.
42  Economy / Trading Discussion / Crypto Trading and Rationing Principle. A Guide to Reasonable Investment on: January 10, 2024, 08:23:11 PM
Rational investment is the basis for healthy business existence.

Many investments have faced collapsed due to irrational investments. Sometimes when a business is faced with multiple investment opportunities that are juicy and enticing, investors like to grab all the available opportunities.

This singular act of wanting to get all the Business opportunities at a time, makes business owners takes the wrong decision of using the entire savings or capital of the business to grab all the available opportunities.

Wrong investment choices arising from such greed has left businesses face threats of collapse or has left to total collapse of businesses in the event of business failure.

Many juicy and enticing investment opportunities with massive reward or output are usually fake and fraudulent. Therefore a good business manager does not hope to empty business accounts to grab opportunities.

What they usually do is Rationing of investment opportunities. Many crypto traders or investors have made these wrong business plans over time , leading to the total collapse.

In crypto Trading and Rationing Principle, a crypto trader must rationalize his investment by creating an opportunity cost( which investment must be fulfilled before another. By this crypto traders will have the opportunity of hold up to something in the event of disappointment or business failure or loss of gain in most cases.

As part of the rationing Principle, a crypto trader should invest only his profit or surplus value from an investment deal.

Every crypto trader must know even as a beginner that, wealth is not made in a day and that is why rationing investments is important , the completion of one business deal leading to another on time schedules.

Feel free to state your opinion.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption in Nigeria as a Problem of Economic Growth and Development on: January 10, 2024, 10:51:01 AM
So far all the suggestions have failed and obviously, there will not be changes until, the Chinese communist system of administration is adopted.

A public or political leader must not acquire certain properties and nut not be richer than a certain net worth, with a stipulation of death penalty ( death by hanging). This will certainly stop the excessive looting and siphoning of public funds.

What do you think?
No one has said anything concerning this part of OP’s post, which I think is the point of the thread. So far, all I can see is fighting over which country has more corruption. I understand that this is a sensitive topic and many may find the topic offensive, in my opinion anyone who considers himself a patriot would be offended by it.

I don’t think OP is very knowledgeable about how society and government operate. A communist government is not a system that favours the average person. Communism is a system where everything is owned and controlled by the state. I find it ironic that a bitcoiner could be pro-communism.

The Marxian idea of the communist manifesto foresaw the emergence of a classless society. For Marx , a time will come when the lower class will take over the economy of the state and make it a classless state.

Communism is a state system where the resources of the state are used for the people by the people. The people in this context are the people of the middle and the lower class taking over the means of production and distribution of the state resources.

In states like China, North Korea and other places , corruption is at its lowest level due to the level of sanction given to corrupt individuals.

Communism is the best suggestion for Nigeria and not restructuring.
44  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 10, 2024, 10:36:44 AM
The answer to the topic of discussion is "YES" . Nigeria is not only under the British rule but, we are under the rule of the first and second world powers.

Neo-colonialism is a concept of governance or principle that  stipulates and promote an indirect capturing and domination of the processes of governance and economy of former colonial territories or states.

Neo-colonialism is mostly an economic domination of formerly colonized areas by their former colonial masters through modern means of economics.

Imperialism and Neo-colonialism started it's foundation in Nigeria as the former Royal Niger Company. The company had the authority of the royal seal to extract and export the natural resources of Nigeria to England for the advancement of their economy and industrial productions.

The system of governance adopted our traditional institution on two grounds 1. For language interpretation and 2. Resistance by the people. This whole adoption was for administrative convinence band elimination of resistance.

The native people became part of the exploitation process of themselves and their generations which we are seeing today. The introduction of the traditional institution into the process for the British government to rule the people through the chiefs and kings, the process provided,  An elite class that  became marchants  through incorporation into this evil of exploitation.

And after the gain of independence, the Nigerian state is still exploited through multinational corporations and companies Like Shell and Chevron, where our people are kept at the levels of artisans and administrators while , they bring their people as technical expartes.

In most cases like the days of colonialism, our people are kept as administrative heads in supporting the transfer of our resources to Europe and America for processing and reintroduction into Nigeria as finished goods.

The end tale of this arrangement is that, Nigeria becomes the source of their raw materials and their market. With this pattern, Nigerians are used to kill the idea of indigenization, production and distribution to show their loyalty to the western imperialist and to keep their administrative positions in those companies.

We must liberate ourselves through enlightenment. Your contributions please.
Neo-colonialism and imperialism by kwame Nkrumah was one of the books that expose some of these pre-colonial and post colonial economic dominance, but personally I will like to disagree with some of these postulations because in the present economic and political governance of the Nigerian state, we can see that the direct policies of government are made by indigenous leaders of the Nigerian state, these present policies that are made, gives a direct economic effect of Nigeria at the moment. Of course everybody will have a history some of the realities of the past, some can be cruel and some can be brutal, but in all it points to the fact that we were coming from somewhere,  we where exploited at one point no doubt, one thing is you should understand is the fact that some of this dominance are pre-colonial and in this post colonial era, the effect of government policies is carried by leaders of the moment, so I absorb the colonial masters of the present economic or social political crisis that is bedeviling the Nigerian state.
Those of them at helm's of affairs should start making policies and programs that will better the lots of their people, policies that are geared towards human development and economic Sustainability, and you will see that some of this memories that we have about pre-colonial events will begin to fizzle out and remain as history.  We are not the only country in the world that where colonized by the British, there are lots and lots of countries that were colonized by British and have moved on and developed themselves in an advance manner.

We are greatly influenced by the foreign policies of the Nigerian state, these policies are formulated on the basis of International principles.

When the budget of the Nigerian state is planned, internal and external grants are considered as part of the sources. By that , we also depend on the western economic powers.

We are not totally free from them on economic , technological and religious basis.
45  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BBC Documentary on Prophet TB. Joshua and the Complications in the Truth on: January 09, 2024, 10:51:44 AM
I'd have loved if OP had shared links about this documentary, it would've given us more insight about the matter. I've not watched the BBC documentary yet, but I've read some confessional statements on news sites, about some ladies who had worked closely with the late prophet T B Joshua, and alleging that he usually had sexual acts with virgins and uses their blood to fortify his powers, although this my findings may not be accurate. If the ladies in the documentary did not present any physical evidence to proof their truthfulness, then it's all allegations as far as I'm concerned, because they could be lying.  I'm not a member of the synagogue church, but to accuse someone that his preaching and philanthropic works speaks for itself is, without any concrete proof will be very unfair.

Successful people whether it's in entertainment, politics, businesses and religion will always be accused of using either fraud or diabolic powers to sustain fame and fortune, so I personally don't take allegations about them too seriously because jealous people can be behind the allegations, unless I see physical proofs before I can believe.

Done sir, thank you

48  Other / Politics & Society / BBC Documentary on Prophet TB. Joshua and the Complications in the Truth on: January 08, 2024, 09:03:05 PM
Since after the emergence of the BBC Documentary about some of the activities of TB. Joshua not known to the public was made public, several views have been made.

The arguments on the truth is currently dominated by pro-TB Joshua and anti-TB Joshua supporters.

Most of the narratives takes the form of paid scripts and perspectives on the nature of the man TB. Joshua. For instance, all the witnesses believe that he does not have human sympathy.

This believe seem to be a lie, not taking into account the humanitarian services he was giving when he was alive.

Though many Christain beleivers thinks a man of God should be above the human desires and realm but, they forget that, even pastors are human beings with social and emotional desires.

The knowledge on the reality of the Christain religion is what many Christains don't understand because , the church do not take proper account of the biblical history or the Abrahamic account of human social existence as contained in Genesis.

Christainity is a child of Judaic birth, it was from the same Judaism that Christainity came to be. Judaism is the traditional institution of the Jews and in this religion , all the Revelations shared by these confessionist does not sound strange, sleeping with many women and still be serving God is a normal thing among traditional religions.

It is important to know that , with knowledge from the bible schools, one could understand that, Christainity is powerless without tradition and mysticity. The source of power of christainity is the root source of christainity from which it was established.

The Jews God as a traditional God was powerful with magic , read the accounts of Moses challenging the Egyptian priests .

Jesus came with a branded perception to Judaism from the aspect of a religious philosopher like Martin Luther that made changes to the belief system. Originally, Christainity is not a religion, it is just a name tag, the original religion is Judaism.

Society has placed so much expectations on priests of God as infallible and upright examples others must copy from behaviourally. These human expectations seem to undermine the humanity in men or those priests.

For me , TB. Joshua as a pastor is also a human being with needs and feelings as a man of Judaic worship.

However, what interests many was his giving spirit and the accuracy in predictions and prophecies. Sexuality is a normal human need that is not connected on the termination of his source of power (Judaism).

As far as whatever that was alleged never got connected with blood sacrifices or the cult worship, the interest of many for the man TB Joshua remains intact.

What do you think about the BBC confessions about TB. Joshua, do you think they are true or not?

50  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The best way to fight insecurity in our society on: January 07, 2024, 11:57:07 PM
The world have been using war to fight insecurity, wasting economic and human resource but it seen insecurity is increasing on daily basis. I think war is not the best approach to insecurity. If we want a society free from security challenges there should be equal right and justics, any government that cannot solve the issue of security for 24hr has hand in the insecurity problem facing the people. One of the things that can also eradicate insecurity in our society is to improve on our economy and create adequate social amenities and jobs creations especially for the youth.

The worst forms of insecurities were formed as means of survival and either fanatic belief or confraternal forms. So either way hunger and desire too make money causes it or a belief system of forceful indoctrination.

The provision of social amenities does not directly affect those that needs survival, the provision of good jobs will stop the insecurities caused by stealing, kidnapping, trafficking.

The worst form of insecurity is terrorism , the best was to reduce terrorism drastically is by killing the instigators and sponsors.
51  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / The Nature of Religious Beliefs and Faith in Nigeria on: January 07, 2024, 11:39:24 PM

The dialectics of individual beliefs and practices are usually built on three major domains in the Nigerian context. The Islam, Christianity and the tradition, each of the domains stands on a philosophical tune of rejections and acceptances of what is termed good or bad on either moralistic grounds of society or established dictates of these religions.

Over the years Christian history has failed to justify the concept of belief but, the Christian history and its influence of power has somehow dominated the meaning and affiliation of belief within this purview, careful views of the concept has declared belief mostly a Christian concept due to the large number of believers. What seems to be dynamic about the concept belief is the language disparity in explaining the concept.

Belief in terms is an '' affirmation of identity, emotional commitment, belonging and authenticity within a sacred community.  In sum up, belief is  a matter of confessional affiliation, most often whether the believers were Catholic or Protestant; in others it is a matter of attitude of the Church(es) or the Clergy, in particular whether the church men were pro- 0r anti-clerical and yet others saw religion from behavioural? Criterion, in particular whether or not (or how frequently) the church men attended religious services.

Thoughts can live only on grounds which we adopt in the service of a reality to which we submit. These dynamics are further illustrated by moral somatic processes . By this, it means to explain the use of variances in the explanations and meanings of the concept "belief". In other words, belief could be adopted or accepted thoughts of morality and social ethics in what human hold as reality.

A concept of interpretive drift on the nature of belief posited that, belief is a gradual transition from the suspension of disbelief to a period of submission to a circle of thoughts, emotion, interpretation and commitment which develops the role of imagination.

He further argued that, the imagination and affirmation which causes belief enables voluntary determination to involuntary determination of individuals arising from visual and auditory experiences of individuals.

The voluntary determination is caused by a conscious effort to belief while, the involuntary determination causes an unconscious or unintended effort to belief and defend it.

For a belief to be established in an individual, there must be a conscious rejection of some issues of doubt for the acceptance of emotional and interest attachments. The human emotions and interests toward a particular religion set in sentiments that causes defense of that religion.

Despite the dividable nature of human, individual still exists at the level of social, relational or inter-subjective views. Even with the true nature of this fact, individuals are distinct in point of views and experiential.

Man, not only as a social, cultural and historic being is a thinking being that is informed with orientations about the world and engagements with that pattern of orientation.

These orientations which are either thoughts or experiences about physical and spiritual existence leads to Some physical engagements or practices of worship or rites. The engagement in human made Carlise to see belief  as a subjective Commitment to observed truth or what human hold as truth.

The observed truths are from the social-cultural ground of norms and principles of conduct that are observed within a Committee of beliefs and these physically or abstractly observed truths of human social-cultural conducts and environment creates a belief in society.

One of the contentions is the issue that is still fresh is the reality of belief In describing the reality of human belief, it will not be out of place to ask what makes man believe that, what makes up his bclief pattern is real.

The reality of mans' belief remains a belief that lacks realistic evidence but. that depends on the imagination, imagery and self conviction without realistic evidence. What makes the reality of belief are mind pictures, audio, audio-visual experiences of man causing brainwaves and visions, circumstantial experiences that are beyond human semantic comprehension.

In the Nigerian context, belief systems are uniquely distinctive among individuals in the three major religions What seems to be relative is their conceptualization of "God'" as an invisible existence and being in an abstract realm, His/Her supremacy above the human physical existence. The interpretive variances and perceptions on concepts and interest seem to be a problem as all religions carries out imaginations in accordance with self accepted and evaluated norms or ethics of practice. Commonly what forns religion in Nigeria like other third world nations starts from the gradual suspension of disbelief to a state of observation of supreme existence or super natural beings.

The answer to the topic of discussion is "YES" . Nigeria is not only under the British rule but, we are under the rule of the first and second world powers.

You're wrong, I will also like you to accept this no matter how, we are no more in that era you thought of, there's freedom everywhere and civilization also have made everything clear to the people's eyes, where were you during the Nigerian independence, what have you discovered that led to this and what had for a long time transpired before the independence, if you're too much dependent on a country for your own sustainability then indirectly it's something that has to be said that you're still under their control because they will dictate to you from their policies what they want.

Why do you think Africans and Nigeria is still dependent on foreign powers on economic , technological and in believe system. Why are they not allowing us to refine our petroleum products.

It is not that the Nigerian God don't want to refine our products here. The companies that takes up contracts to make our refineries work are foreign companies. These companies are under the license of those countries that takes our resources to their place , so the companies had to jeopardize the efforts of the government to keep us dependent on their economy.

My brother we are not free.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption in Nigeria as a Problem of Economic Growth and Development on: January 05, 2024, 11:40:28 PM
People saying "Corruption is everywhere" to a post about corruption in Nigeria really trivializes the point the OP is making. Yes, there is corruption in other places too but most of the developed world stands where it is today because the rich and powerful were not so easily able to trample rights and just practice unchecked corruption in those places. Someone gave the example of Switzerland. Are you out of your mind making a comparison between an impoverished, filthy, socially and politically broken and rotten country like Nigeria with Switzerland??

Really?

Its the age of right wing governments around the world and you will always hear these chauvinists egging people on to be "proud" of their heritage and culture. Tell me, What the fuck does a lot of these poor, impoverished African countries have to be proud of??? They let themselves be split in factions, tribes. Nigeria has these deep divisions due to Islamic fundamentalists, the divisions due to languages and what not.

Be proud all you want for the reason that you were born in that nation, but lets not wash over the plain fact that the leaders of these nations have been corrupt, power-hungry, incompetent fools. On top of that, the people themselves have fallen in ethics, humanity, dignity and honor. There is a reason that the "Nigerian Prince scam" became a meme to denote scamming throughout the world. The people will justify it in their own way but this reality is something that every Nigerian, every failed African national should face and ask to themselves. The people who rule you are generally only as worse as the people themselves.

These nations have let their culture and humanity rot. Lets not even go to the extreme sexual violence and the pathetic state of women in countries of Africa and impoverished Asia/ India. Frankly, Africans should really re-recognize their humanity first and then talk about bigger social things like corruption. You let Belgians fuck Congo over and really just became what Joseph Conrad described as the "Heart of Darkness".

That my friend is the unadulterated truth about the state of African nations and their history. Lets not trivialize it with "Ohh, corruption is everywhere". You have far more serious problems to consider than just corruption.

EDITED: Please don't consider this as a hate post about Africa or Nigerians. I am not against any people. I have met many cool African friends. Yet, the problems of Africa are something that has always broken my heart since I was a child reading about it being the "cradle of civilization". I understand that a lot of this impression may also be wrong considering how things have changed in the past 20 years. Yet, i have read enough of the sad histories of Uganda, Congo, Rwanda and countless others. Even South Africa has these horrifying crime figures in Johannesberg. It almost feels like Africans have become incapable of humanity. May God help them all.

My brother it is annoying seeing our youths making comparisons to justify a corrupt system because they are afraid to say the truth.

55  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the BRICS currency influence Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2024, 10:34:21 PM
This discussion has been there for decades without implementation, it is not only the second world power states but also the third world powers through ECOWAS and OAU have come together to suggest the idea of one currency.

This is essential in weakening the economic powers of U.S through IMF, world bank, and the world stock market. Dollar being the sole means of exchange in the International market gives the U. S monopoly.

However, the fear of sanction and the U. S has bribed some influential politicians in those countries to thwart the effort.

Therefore , I don't see another currency battling the dollar or a digital coin that will weaken Bitcoin the future. With influential individuals like Elo Musk and others hiding their safe on crypto wallets. Most publicly stolen funds are hidden on crypto wallets without trace.

These influential people wouldn't want the devaluation of their treasures, so they will struggle to stop any attempt against Bitcoin.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: January 05, 2024, 10:17:36 PM
Many businesses surviving , survives on consistency and management.

Recent times inflation and competition has kicked many businesses out of track. COVID 19 and inflation in the running cost killed many businesses.

Patronage became low die to inflation in royalty to the businesses or cost of services.

Many advertising businesses failed because, customer fell victim to scammers. Especially Oxl would have had branches in all the states to receive items and send them to buys. The sellers -buyers channel only made the company a useless platform and not an active participant in the transaction and distribution channel.

Companies providing adverts provides promotion options as part of the advertisement process. Jiji. Com start before if not the same time with Oxl. Managing the promotion option has kept the company going.

I like the fact that your some worth grounded with the background, cultural and political heritage of Nigeria. We don’t get to deny the fact that, we’ve got corrupt leaders in this part of the world and we as Africans do try to do things in our best interest but it continues to be surprised and influenced by the rich and powerful from the developed world still.
Leaders trying to make a change and unify Africa and Africans being labeled as dictators with a puppet leader being prepared and put in place by the west to serve interests of the west.
Where after the neocolonialism, they still fashion colonialism in terms of business and unscaled trade relations. Not like the pol don’t know better but being I’ll fated, it becomes really difficult to escape the grasps of this long claws of the west.

Little wonder why some African nations lately have been or are going through military actions.

Believe me, I found it a bit uneasy having to read this as, it doesn’t define Nigeria politics by any means. Maybe the comparison don’t get to go but, your telling me Switzerland is any less corrupt than Nigerian?

Little wonder what it’s been referred in the popular phrase a Swiss Banker…. It’s always the one place where it all gets to and it’s made to go away. Accepting corrupt and laundered money across nations of the world because it adds to its economy, does that make it any less corrupt or rotten?
Are you out of your mind making a comparison between an impoverished, filthy, socially and politically broken and rotten country like Nigeria with Switzerland??
Nigeria being impoverished, are you serious right now or you’re about what’s being posted on the internet and the various chants you hear out there. Of course the standards of living might be poor for a large part of its population but, that’s largely due to corruption I agree but, not at all defines the wealth in the nation.

And prince scam?
Naaahhhh, Nigeria didn’t start swapping of cards, drugs, pimping and more of the vices you’ve hit out there. If only Nigeria was as half secured as the rest of the developed world, crime rate would have been zeroed upon. Nigeria is much more better than y’all imagine it to be and Nigerians are good people. Don’t be fooled by the few gullible people out there and what they preach.

I quite understand your perspective of the concept of the West. The West domination of the Economies of developing countries is a big problem, the west hampers with our collective development as Africans through the following ways

1. Enforced high interest loans offered to African countries through IMF and World bank, these loans are forced on African countries. During President Buharis times as head of state , he refused accepting the forced world bank loan , they forced him to devalue the Nigerian Naira.

2.  Multinational corporations and companies established in African countries in strengthen imperialism and Neo-colonialism

3. The West has discouraged the productive capacity of Africans and has made us unproductive so that , we can be economically reliant on them.

To save ourselves from the powers of the west as problem of development in African countries, we must cut them office in these areas and indigenize our productive capacity.

Though it is funny but, is there no stipulation of consumers right in the world.

The company should take better investment decisions that will positively affect the business. The worst thing for any business is taking sides in a conflict or sponsoring conflict.

For instance, a Nigerian super star Naira Marley thought with his wealth and influence, he could sponsor bullying as it was evidence in video clips then go free.

He has released a new album but, Nigeria's refuse to stream his new song thereby leading to the fall out of the song in all the lists or charts.

This is a great loss for him for wrong decision making without regarding his business.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: India is the new economic leader of global south. And replacement for China?... on: January 05, 2024, 09:24:51 PM
India is great in the International politics of history and ethno-regional studies due to its Political stability and peace despite being a multiple ethno-regional hegemony.

That aside, I do not believe that, India has the technological powers to replace China in that industry and market.

China has been in a cold war with the western bloc over supremacy competition for years which many scholars see as world war 3, India was not part of this technological struggle.

India is a strong world power and maintains dominance in the pharmaceutical sector as a result of the peoples' knowledge on healing powers of natural extracts, that does not translate to taking over the place of China.

China presently dominates the realm of global technology and this is made possible because of their large market. Africa forms the base of their largest market , most especially, Nigeria because we practice a free market system.

Production is not the only issue here but , the market determination and acceptance. Indian products , England products , American products, Finland and Switzerland products were predominant until China destroyed their markets and penetrated their market domination with their products through reduced price mechanisms.

Secondly, most western companies are penetrating the Chinese large market by having branches or moving their companies to China.

China is still conservative in their pharmaceutical sectors , if not , if Chinese adopts their traditional medicines and extracts and rebrand them into international market standards, they might take over India.

China does not only have tech power, they have some of the most effective medicines.

It is actually difficult to take over the place of China in tech power. Another reason is because over the years , the country has moved into some powerful agreements with African countries, capitising on the economic hardship caused by the rise of the western currency on the global market, China has offered to accept their currency as a legal tender for International trade.

Nigeria as a country with International influence on the economy and politics of other African countries, has the ability to ensure the domination of the Chinese products in those countries. That is what has been happening.

Instead of taking loans from IMF and the world bank to advance their oppression, underdevelopment and neo-colonialism on Africans, China provides low interest loans to underdeveloped countries. This act strengthens International collaborations.

The business idea is fantastic and it will be lucrative.

But there are lapses in your content which does not take account into licensing by Nafdac as the body in charge of food and drug registration.

Your content did not state the start up capital and the cost of the equipment under the current exchange rate. The type of raw materials needed in producing the groundnut oil was not also stated.

Please address these issues because I am very much interested in this business.
