41  Economy / Service Discussion / CEX or DEX: Which One Rewards You More? on: May 08, 2024, 03:05:29 PM
Hey mates, good day to y'all

CEX and DEX are two different beasts when it comes to rewarding users. But which one actually offers more goodies??

CEX:

- Trading fees, discounts, and loyalty programs
- Faster transactions and higher liquidity

DEX:

- Token incentives, governance participation, and community love
- Decentralization, security, and community control

Did I miss anything? You can add more. But Do you prefer the traditional approach of CEX or the community-driven vibes of DEX? Let's talk.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you taking advantage of this red market? on: May 04, 2024, 06:14:12 AM
Nope, I don't have any stable coins anymore.

I wish I have money right now, so I will try to gamble in few shitcoins since the price is keep declining.

I need to thank Bitcoin halving because Bitcoin halving make my shitcoins portfolio went halve to. Tongue

Since I'm not a fan to cut loss, I choose to hold my shitcoins until the price spikes which I don't know when it will happen, I will be fine since I'm currently not in needed.

BTC is up 63k rn, it's now on nevr on your shit coins hunt. Ahaha. Consider Katt though, I'm farming on Bitget's PoolX to earn it hourly. I'm also considering adding to my other meme bags. Let's hope btc doesn't tank to 53k before month end 😂😂. What's your honest assesment of BTC and probably memecoins market in the next 60 days?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a better way to handle cross-chain transactions? on: May 04, 2024, 06:07:02 AM
You know those days when you want to move assets between chains…and it's a whole ordeal? Fees eat your profits, you're juggling multiple wallets, and the whole process is just a pain. I've been there, and it sucks the fun right out of trading.
It's not as painful as you said that above. You were not even specific whether it was compatible or non compatible blockchain. Transferring between one to the another chain in the compatible blockchain doesn't require a lot of money.

The other day, after finally getting a transaction through (and paying waaaay too much in gas), I came across ZEROLEND in my research. Turns out, it aims to solve a whole bunch of the issues I keep running into with cross-chain activity and lending. Now, I wish I'd found it sooner, but hey, maybe someone else is out there facing the same frustrations.
I'd prefer to use stargate finance rather than zero lend. It has been helping ne to transfering my balance across to the another blockchain.

It looks like they're focused on cross-chain compatibility, real-world assets (think less reliance on pure crypto), and even ways to reduce those crazy gas fees. Oh, and privacy features - always a plus in this space, right? I'm about to do a deep dive, but I wanted to see if anyone had other projects in mind that do the same stuff. Let's share some.
It was a lending platform but stargate has been supporting various blockchains compared to the zerolend. Many people have been also simultaneously using startage finance too. Zero lend was a new platform.
It's only supporting fewer blockchains compared to the stargate.

New platform with potential due to it's privacy layer feature via zkstack tech imo. Might get to Stargate level or might not, but I'll be supporting it. Saw it on Bitget's pre market trading around few cents. Will bet on it..
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Renzo Airdrop on: April 30, 2024, 10:29:57 AM
Another restaking protocol has been release their announcement of airdrop. Its called renzo protocol, after the Binance announced their launchpool on renzo, the team followed it by their airdrop post which gives season participants a 7% pool with minimum eligibility of 360points to be able to received.

I am participants of this one and accumulated some points. Id hope my supplied eth for ezeth is worth it.

Check the announcement.

https://twitter.com/RenzoProtocol/status/1783277589525594231?t=t4SZP6T1WKXDaS1jeGvDXQ&s=19

Seems the airdrop has started & listing is today. Got some on Bitget's pre market & I'll be hoping to sell after listing. I hope it does well cos restaking protocol is a popular sector & renzo has been endorsed by industry leaders..
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MemeCoins Fuel the Next Crypto Craze? on: April 28, 2024, 06:35:00 AM
Truly memecoins provides the hype and speculations that attracts investors to the crypto market, as stated in the OP, many people don't have that patience to wait on long term projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum, so they're ready to gamble their funds to make profits on the short term. I believe that this is the major reason why memecoins are fueling the crypto craze, as the subject of this thread captions it, and thanks to the Solana, network that is energized and accepting them as many as they come. But investors should understand that all that glitters is not gold, therefore they should carry out research first and invest the amount that they can afford to loose

You've spoken well, because of the hype that comes with memecoins, users especially newbies tend to shift to that direction. While I believe that memes are important in the crypto space, it's also crucial to position yourself wisely and know the risks before getting involved. Bitget memezone has been my go-to in terms of memes. I've gotten bome, Slerf, wif early and now they've introduced MANEKI with candybomb initiative attached..(OP mentioned it). The meme seem to be gaining momentum both on X l, Discord, telegram and Reddit. Will definitely ride the wave with this using my strategy. NFA though.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you restaking wBTC right now? on: April 27, 2024, 05:34:50 AM
As far as it's my fund, I'd after having Invested on the bitcoin, I diversifies to farm on well lucracious, populous and a listed token projects where I don't only rean my faith on hypes but reputations.

I may only assume that investing on this your introduced Bouncebit token would me a gamble but yet I'm not in for it until it's listed in the market cap to trending.

I share  your skepticism so I checked it out a little more. And I see it's  been listed on some Cexs  already   https://www.coincarp.com/fa/events/bouncebit-new-listing-on-bitget-pre-market/. All in all,  I would say investing in a new token is a gamble. So its wise risk what you're ready to loose

Haven't really explore bouncebit cos I've been utilizing other options for passive income, didn't even know they are the pionerr native BTC restaking chain(made me looked it up). since there's good sentiment on the project, I'll proceed to checkout the pre market trading you suggested. Hopefully I bid at a decent price.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Socialfi narrative coming back? on: April 24, 2024, 03:59:53 AM
SocialFi projects have been around for a while, dating back to when Stepn originated. Aside from the initial boom, I haven't seen anything extraordinary from them..., but that might be changing..came across Ready to Fight - a funny name, I know! It's an innovative SocialFi project that combines social networks and DeFi, enabling creators to monetize their content.

Two things caught my attention:

1. it's the first social network for the 50 million global boxing community, and the project's strategic partners include the World Boxing Council (WBC), the Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation, and Riyadh Season.

2. The project's ambassadors  include prominent world athletes like Mike Tyson, Amir Khan, and Ebani Bridges.

With this much backing, I think the SocialFi narrative might be changing. What do you think?

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run Approaching: Projects to Watch Besides ETH on: April 23, 2024, 06:20:14 AM
The crypto market is heating up, especially after the halving, and it's time to explore the next big things! We've got familiar names like Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana making waves, but let's talk about smaller gems like ATOR.

ATOR is a project focused on keeping your online activity private and secure. They're building a new way for people to connect to the internet using special hardware and a token system that rewards users for helping keep the network strong. What I love about ATOR is that it's not just about tech - it's about giving people control over their online lives. With their recent partnership with Streamr, they're making big moves to make privacy and decentralization accessible to everyone.

Here's my question: What do you think is most important for a project like this to succeed long-term - keeping your data private, being able to connect securely, or something else? Which other projects are on your watchlist?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/airtor-protocol/
I think for a project to survive for long term it should have a very good and innovative team so that whenever a problem arises in the market and ecosystem the project team should react immediately to solve that particular problem.

Let's take a example of the congestion problem that was faced by ETH in the previous months.  Now a good project like SOL noticed it and they launched their layer 2 projects to cater the problem of congestion and they succeeded in that pretty much. So that's what a long term project demands.

That's true. Found this and I think it's looks exciting. Do you think ATOR will scale from this brief highlights?

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New meme coins Pool mining Experience on: April 22, 2024, 06:05:26 AM
Who's considering the current BTC halving and uncertain market price movement, It's seems traders are now seeking alternatives to BTC and other stable coins in meme coins considering that meme coin market has been buzzing, especially with the popularity of memecoins like Pepe, Dogecoin, KangaMoon, Shiba Inu, Book of Meme, Dogwifhat etc.

I've seen that meme coins show strong growth potential in the cryptocurrency market and to become profitable in meme coins, it's a general notion that one need to get in early enough. But often, we only get to know about them when they're already trending. Sadly!

Recently, I came across Apustaja (APU) a pepe-variant token that represent a more naive frog which I think is taking the narrative of Pepe itself. I haven't seen it on exchanges yet, although there's been discussions of being able to mine it on PoolX - a kind of staking arrangement.

I'm wondering if I could get insight from those who have experience mining token on PoolX, how profitable is that?

I have and this should help..you mine with either BGB, USDT or eth depends on the requirements.. I just did research on APU, and the requirements is ETH & USDT. here's something that'll help
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you know about CKB?? on: April 21, 2024, 04:24:48 AM
I looked for the simplest browser wallet for a person who is not able to store passwords or seed phrases, and I found the wallet app.joy.id
This wallet supports some blockchains, and among them, there is Nervos Network (CKB is the main currency of this blockchain). I've never heard about this blockchain before, and I was very surprised that the wallet considers CKB's blockchain as belonging to Bitcoin ecosystem.

Why?
Can anyone explain what makes Nervos a layer 2 of Bitcoin?

Seems we're in the same boat. Saw this CKB listing announcement https://twitter.com/bitgetglobal/status/1780903367205699644?t=dRdWaINxG8C82piGSuhy0w&s=19 before doing basic research on it. And yes CKB can be considered as a layer 2 Blockchain, you can read this for further clarity. https://www.coinlive.com/news/ckb-moves-to-bitcoin-layer-2-track-hype-or-opportunity
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge day!!. Expectations??? on: April 20, 2024, 04:26:23 AM
it's the first time i heard of doge day. been a fan for a long time. i never saw the community celebrate anything of that but this is bitget idea trying to celebrate doge day along with BTC halving. $3000 worth of doge is fun though.

if in the halving day BTC will rise, the rest of the altcoins will also go up. $0.18 is still the resistance line. this could be where the price struggles to climb.

Though the Bitget event is commendable, Dogeday is celebrated by the community actually. Just search for Dogeday on twitter and you'll see RT about it. Fvg is in that are. 0.18-0.19. let's see if Doge will clear that. I'm anticipating
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge day!!. Expectations??? on: April 19, 2024, 06:38:50 PM
I have no idea about what kind of celebration you're doing for that day. With what I know, it's all about Bitcoin's halving by tomorrow and any celebration that's going to happen tomorrow are just a wise move that you're able to do the same thing so that it might take some actions.
I'm not expecting a lot by tomorrow just after the halving of BTC. I'm more moving forward to the long term impact of it that might take for several months or even at the end of this day, yes only for BTC not for doge.
True, BTC might be the KING, But doge is also well known, might not react due to the state of Bitcoin market, but I think the enthusiasm is there and you can't take it away. Posted a link earlier about an event for Dogeday that I'm in. Hopefully I get lucky and win 😎🤩

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins at it again, Another about to go up ? on: April 19, 2024, 05:54:12 AM
If $EPIK reaches $WIF current market cap, its price would be $2.89. That makes 50x from Launch!

At this point you just have to take what you can if you had already invested then it would honestly be better if you take it out at the right time because I don’t think these memecoins even if part of the solana blockchain will last long.

I think a lot of them even this new one is bound to die sooner or later but if anyone wants to invest on it still then just make sure that you do what wpuld bring you the least possible loss

Memecoins have a season and I think the season isn't over. I'll suggest getting into them before the bull season kicks off. Saw another thread that highlighted EPIK is already on Bitget and probably other platforms so I'll check it's price trend out and revert. Brb.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Doge day!!. Expectations??? on: April 19, 2024, 05:49:50 AM
With only one day remaining until DOGE Day on April 20, the community is gearing up for the informal holiday celebrated by Dogecoin enthusiasts. 🚀 This lighthearted event, chosen to coincide with the 420 meme, has captured the attention of many.

Dogecoin's price has seen a correction since March 28, but it has already rebounded over 25% from its April 14 lows. 📈 The question now is: will the anticipation surrounding DOGE Day reinforce this upward momentum and potentially lead to a full retracement of the recent correction? 🤔

Some platforms have already begun to tap into the excitement, reflecting the growing enthusiasm within the community.https://twitter.com/bitgetglobal/status/1780446312938590660?t=vfZiUUTHkMOlBTH6bvqtXA&s=19

🐕What's your prediction for DOGE Day?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Decentralized Exchange for Real Estate Actually A Thing? on: April 18, 2024, 08:10:21 PM
Its was hard to see how a market like Real Estate which operates in real space and real-time could be integrated with web3, this was my initial thought before i came across Parcl Labs recently. When i saw Parcl was a decentralized exchange focused on real estate (hence web3) it piqued my interest. Upon further research, i found that it allows users to speculate on the price movements of real estate markets in major cities around the world through "real estate synthetics" – financial instruments mimicking real-world assets in real-time.

The major discovery for me was learning how the Synthetics worked so it was a moment of understanding what I didn't really grasp before now. An important piece of its puzzle is $PRCL, the native Parcl. The platform utilizes it for governance, data access, and potential participation in future incentive programs.

Generally though, Parcl has garnered traction within the Solana ecosystem, achieving the highest Total Value Locked (TVL) among novel DeFi applications. It is no wonder that their V3 exchange has facilitated trading representing over $940 million in notional value and 2.1 million square feet of real estate exposure within a few months.

I believe Parcl Labs presents a unique approach to real estate investing in crypto space and with PRCL listed on Tier1 CEXs, its community will probably get even bigger.

Are there similar projects in these niche?

I'm just hearing this niche for the first time though. An exchange that's focused on real estate trading. Digging on X, I already discovered PRCL is on top platforms like you mentioned. https://twitter.com/bitgetglobal/status/1780219592557900017?t=1uNkxQ_xNEwjcxsalxb6GQ&s=19
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving, historical price surges to follow? on: April 18, 2024, 11:43:11 AM
Looking at the previous halving in May 2020 - the market didn't really start going up until 5 months later in October.

Are we expecting this again this bull run? If so, it means the price will not start going up properly until September.

Yeah true. The halving is a means to an end not the end itself. But like OP said. Positioning yourself might be good in this regards cos post halving rewards can be fulfilling. Might consider the suggestion OP gave. I'm a trader, let's see if I cut it.
58  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BingX supports Iranian users, despite sanctions: on: April 16, 2024, 04:33:08 PM
Times have changed mate, crypto regulations and compliance is a thing and when an exchange openly bycot regulations despite restrictions, then it's brings questions about their legitimacy imo.... About the other matter, maybe he uses the platform and just sharing his experience/tips which is normal buddy.
Their legitimacy might be questioned based on their compliance, it seems that they're not compliant at all and this is their business. If OFAC has already given the sanction for their currency to be traded but BingX isn't compliant at all, that's their problem and they made themselves aware of future sanctions that will hit the exchange itself. But I think that this won't be a problem anymore globally, many exchanged have stopped their support here and there and even had hard time complying in US' standards. And as for the basis of these sanctions from US, they might or might not be obliged to follow and will just leave the region that they're supporting covered by the US laws. Anyway, if Bingx doesn't care at all, why should we be?

Maybe BingX doesn't care at this point, or at least they seem like they don't care about complying with anyone's regulations, but at some point when they do care, all the damage will be on their users.
I am not their user, but I believe that all their users should be concerned.

True, I already saw some of their users on X asking if they should be concerned or withdraw their investment from the platform. I'm hoping they address this soon cos it' might lead to misuse of funds which could harm innocent people
59  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BingX supports Iranian users, despite sanctions: on: April 16, 2024, 06:30:53 AM
The exchanges you mentioned have a way of boycotting regulation which is why they mostly have issues...Binance have issues with many European countries including UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and many more..... When it comes to centralized exchanges, there are only a few that are regulatory compliant like Bitget and cryptocom

TBF, most successful exchanges starts as an off-shore company which is a typical initial setup to stay at the gray lines. Also pretty much one of the reasons why a lot of them were able to do a no-mandatory KYC policy (for purely crypto transactions) at first.

I never cared much about bitget TBH but I must say, you post about them a lot  Smiley

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange native tokens Vs Wallet native tokens on: April 16, 2024, 06:12:34 AM
I have zero thoughts about BWB. As a matter of fact, its the first time I'm hearing about it. There is no comparison here. Wallet tokens don't stand a chance against exchange tokens. While both are services, it's only exchange tokens that have value that can accrue to them. For wallets that support EVM chains, the only way to charge fees is via additional fee on top of the transaction fee cost. Additionally, there's incentive to buy and hold an exchange tokens since they might use burn token supply or allow revenue to be used for buying tokens off the market and burning.

You want to take a close look at wallet tokens before taking a move indulging in one. So far, I haven't see a wallet token that did reasonably well. Maybe TWT, but I don't think so.

Cake did reasonably well in the last bull run and there's potential for them in this coming run due to increased dex activities. For BWB alot has been said about it in the thread so you may go though and find out. But this would give you an idea. https://twitter.com/BitgetWallet/status/1779827794287247475?t=fIsSaqkHU0ovH_TcrpdDeg&s=19
