41  Economy / Exchanges / Re: storing BTC at exchange wallet long term on: February 07, 2021, 03:21:00 PM
Not recommended at all because you don't have the full control of your asset. Anything can happen from getting your account hacked to the exchange wallet getting hacked, your account get suspended for unknown reason, forgotting your password and the means to recover the account, etc. If you are not going to use the bitcoin for a long time then send it to another wallet where the private key is in your hand.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: which will u choose to buy on: February 07, 2021, 03:07:47 PM
It's an easy choice as i won't be spending a lot of money on cars as their value will only continue to go down. Even if i don't spend it all on bitcoin then i will spread it to other kind of investment like stocks, bonds, or properties. If you have a lot of source of passive income then you can live comfortably later in your life rather than have fun with luxury car right now and struggle later. It's not like you have to spend a lot of money to buy car, just buy an ordinary one as it serve the same purpose.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 07, 2021, 02:04:38 PM
Table, players and results. All I could squeeze in.   Smiley

It looks like I'm going to bet for Man City again tomorrow against Liverpool because it is obvious that Man city is much more stronger that Liverpool but I cannot lie my back since we cannot say what may happen because it is not impossible for Man city to have a problem with their players. I didn't wish for this thing to happen, I am just saying that we cannot always depends on the statistics because there are still other factors that may affect the result of the game and the best example of these factors are the condition of the players, the weather condition of where the match will happen, the crow side of the crowd and we cannot deny that other game referee has a vias. But I still managed to trust on my statistics because that is much bigger factor.

It is indeed possible for man city to have a problem but looking at both teams recent result then i think city will win this one with ease based on their statistic and actual performance on the field. Their defense has been solid for the last few games and diaz really played well in those games. On the other hand liverpool defense is a mess right now and their offense isn't looking good. Liverpool already lose two times in a row at anfield and i feel like they will lose again this time.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH made me very Angry today on: February 06, 2021, 06:29:48 PM
Always remember to check the network and the gas fee when you are about to make a transfer, just check ethgasstation and set your gas fee to the average at that time, or if you think it's too expensive then you can wait. This has been a problem everytime the network congested / eth hit all time high. Even right now sending eth will cost you $4-5 per transaction and ofcourse other token will cost more than that. I hope they will find a way to solve this because as it's right now then it's not suitable for mass adoption.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 06, 2021, 03:48:55 PM
I don't understand why liverpool bother to loan minamino to other club, they could've keep him as rotation option or plan b if their main forward (salah, mane, firminho) aren't playing well (like the last few games). Right now their other forward is only origi & shaqiri i think. It's not like their defense is good either, with everyone injured they should've bought or loan someone until this season is over. If they lose againts city then i guess they are out of title race for real.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any recommended guide to build a 6-rig GPU for a 1st time beginner? on: February 06, 2021, 03:35:31 PM
As title states.

There's so many of them, maybe the community could recommend the most simple/best one I should go by?

Thank you in advance!
monitor 18.5" 55$
cpu intel g4400 40$
motherboard gigabyte fintech b250 12pcie(just in case adding more gpus in future) 90$
ram 8gb ddr4 2400 30$
ssd 120gb 50$
psu antec high current pro 1000/1300w 250$
pcie riser 009s 5$
new gpus wait for rtx3060 280$ or 2nd vega 56(reference card) good choice for 250$

miner for amd use teamredminer
for nvidia  Grin lot of them already good miner

OP, this is quite a good one if you want to start, the problem with building a mining rig right now is getting the GPUs at reasonable price. In my opinion you should try to secure the GPUs first then you can buy the other part. I don't know the situation in your location, but in my country 3060ti already cost almost $1000 (about $800-850) and i can't even find amd counterpart everywhere. Also don't forget to look up how to set up multiple GPU, how to wire the cable correcly etc (never use sata to power the riser).
47  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal cryptocurrency trading volume beyond expectations on: February 06, 2021, 05:56:09 AM
You can actually buy crypto from paypal now? is it only for US? because i am not from US and can't find it on my paypal account. So how does it work? you can buy, sell and withdraw it to your own wallet like exchange? or you can only buy it and spend it at merchant who accept crypto? Not bad for them considering the new crypto hype can generate a new source of revenue.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to set nightly stop limit sell orders before you go to bed? on: February 06, 2021, 05:49:19 AM
Close your position at the end of the day / don't open position if it's already late. It's better to close and start again tomorrow, that way you don't have to set stop loss and you can actually sleep peacefully. If the price moves up / down when you are asleep then just consider yourself lucky / unlucky. But at the end of the day it's your strategy, if you are more comfortable to set stop limit (anything can happen when you are asleep) then you can do it, but personally i will close my position and just sleep.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to run windows OS through USB for mining on: February 05, 2021, 09:12:48 AM
If you want to run os from USB then why don't u try hive os? If it's only for mining I think hive os is better for the driver configuration. If you insist on using windows then 120 gb ssd is quite cheap right now.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this GPU ok for altcoin mining? on: January 29, 2021, 08:28:51 AM
1660 super is okay, you can get 30-31 MH/s @70-80 watt and the resale value is better than Amd counterpart. Other alternative is 3060ti If you can get it (2x performance for double the price, better resale value later)

Right now I am mining with 3 GPUs, how do I set the config file if I only want to mine with GPU no. 2 & 3. How do write the parameter in Phoenix miner? -gpus 2,3?
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 16, 2020, 09:55:44 AM

I think Simeone has taken them as far as he can. Their negative style doesn’t give them a good chance of winning the big trophies. An attacking team usually wins the CL & their domestic league.

The last time they won La Liga was 2013/14 season & they have 0 CL titles. They also do spend big on players, Joao Felix was £113,000,000 & Morata was £58,000,000 but = 0 trophies.

I agree, i think real madrid and ronaldo broke simeone at UCL. although their recent performance in UCL is quite bad but Simeone has taken them far, now they are a UCL regular and one of top clubs right now. Their attack is the problem right now, costa is declining and i don't think morata is dependable as the main striker. If they can sort their attack then they will have a chance at the league this season.

Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham for €30m as final fee, decent business for tottenham although there's buyback clause. Bale soon?
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking about sell? Or invest more? on: December 21, 2018, 03:57:23 PM
Selling coins in my opinion is a good choice if you first buy it when it's cheap. but if you buy when the price is high and want to sell at the moment do you want to experience a loss? so I agree if you keep holding. if you have more money, you can add to your investment. but please be careful not to be deceived and remain profitable
In any situation, we must ensure the security of our household budget and, if possible, invest in good projects, because further development of the cryptocurrency market is indeed expected. Many say that only those funds need to be invested in a cryptocurrency, such you do not mind.
You should invest what you can afford to lose in the first place so of course you shouldn't use important money such as your living budget. Crypto is full of speculation and it is very volatile so you should think carefully before putting money in some project as it's not rare to see a project dead in less than one year.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICOs should be protected from dump on: December 21, 2018, 12:19:30 PM
Why though and how to do that? It's open market so the price will depend on the supply and demand of the project, if the project is really good then they will generate far more demand than their supply and the price will stay strong even after ico. Most of the dump happen because there's no more demand after the ico, that's why it is better to set the hardcap lower, because there will be people that can't participate in ico and buy from exchange after ico.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling! Yes or No? on: December 16, 2018, 05:23:55 PM
People panic sell because they invest more than what they can afford to lose and they are afraid to lose their money. It's the fact that they are new to trading and investing make it worse, if they have some experience then they will at least put a stop loss or do some analysis first before buying the asset and they won't do panic sell.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 16, 2018, 04:41:32 PM
I do believe that nothing will change in 2019 as the market will be moving sideways while recovering from the bear market. A lot of people expect that crypto will go up again in 2019 but it takes a long time to earn the investor trust back, especially those who get in because of the hype last year, without new money coming in then it will be hard for the price to go up.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I stopped trading. 3 reasons why. on: December 16, 2018, 04:29:46 PM
Yeah, there's reason why most people prefer investing than trading, by spending a lot of effort at the front to do fundamental analysist, they buy the coin/stocks and hold for a few years while monitoring the situation while with trading you have to spend a lot of your time everyday to trade. While in my opinion it's more profitable to trade but i prefer investing because i don't have a lot of free time to trade.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet that you trust? on: December 16, 2018, 03:41:51 PM
Which wallet do you consider for ERC-20 tokens and how safe is it?
If you want more security you can spend some money to get hardware wallet like trezor or ledger nano, but if you don't want to spend anything then you can use web wallet like myetherwallet or metamask, both are safe and most of the problem usually because of user's mistake so as long as you are careful with what you are clicking and don't put your private key in phising site you'll be fine.
