I'm fairly certain that by the time my video card dies, I'll be having other problems with my computer. I have good fan and setup for it so at the very least my fan would die first.
Thanks for the phoenix miner tips.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else has this card and if they had discovered some sort of optimal miner/catalyst or something. Currently on the most updated catalyst and sdk 2.5. I've only tried GUIminer and cgminer and I averaged about 188Mh/s (I'm overclocked) on GUI using OpenCl and 177Mh/s on cgminer. Anyone have any other stats?

Yes I'm currently using cgminer while guiminer has this weird OpenCL issue but I would like to have Guiminer as my main and the only thing it lacks for me is the failover pool thing, which it has, I just don't know how to set it up. I do use OpenCL so thats not the problem.

You'll definitely have to redownload whatever file was modified. I see no reason why any other way would make any sense.

So does no one know or no one want to help?

Is the estimates and unconfirmed equation thing not working properly? I had an estimate of .3 something right before the new block and an unconfirmed for about 2 days of .02 and then when the new block started I had an estimate of .01 and the same unconfirmed of .02. Just confused.
Another orphan in the PPLNS pool? What are the odds of 4 orphans so close together? Something must be wrong. I recommend switching to the SMPPS pool until this is fixed.
EDIT: Please ignore my question. That was the answer.

So I've searched the forums and I cannot figure this out. I want to set a flag/parameter that lets me set up a backup pool using GUIminer, and the official forum has this: "How to use a backup pool aka fallback support:
Fallback support is in the OpenCL miner only. In the flags, specify the info of the backup pool or pools. For example if I want to fallback to my account on slush's pool, I would write:
Kiv.GPU:mypass@api.bitcoin.cz:8332" Somewhere else someone said they put this, but was unable to test it yet: " --backup http://user:pass@f1.deepbit.net:8332" So I'm trying to figure out what this set up actually is. Like "Kiv.GPU" is supposed to be what? Like a username? It's just confusing.

PPS but not paid until the first block is found?

Just got a response from David. The mining app on droid from David Greene has added simplecoin.us to the list of pools.
I may have missed this somewhere, and I apologize if I did, but what mining app?

I am getting 2-3% reject, waay better than 95% Payout + 0.1% Reject. = ) Not sure why I am not getting 5%, but yea..
Also Thanks goat for paying for rejects (they need love too).
He fixed the problem with the 5% reject rate but lowering the number of connections he had. Also, he's not paying for rejects anymore last I was told.

What will happen if I set my miners to switch to the PPLNS pool when the SMPPS pool is down? Will it screw anything up if they're "configured" to mine the SMPPS pool?
I changed mine from SMPPS to PPLNS and didn't have a problem.

Just because I thought I'd drop by and say something positive.
At first it didn't look like I was getting anywhere with this pool but I came back and have stuck with it a couple days and I must say it's my new favorite pool. I really didn't like PPLNS before but I think it works well here and I love the merged mining. Definitely sticking with the pool through it's future ups and downs. Thanks for sticking with us and making it a great pool.

Hi the problem was more or less sorted out and we are no longer paying for rejected shares. You should see rejects in the 1 to 2% range now. We will try to lower this as well. If you see higher please let me know. Thanks.
Well I've had between 2 to 5% for a while and I was just wondering about how those were going to get added because I never paid out during those high range of shares because my number of rejects were not added to my number of shares so you're saying if I click payout right now I won't get paid for all those times I had a really high stale rate anyway?

Hm weird. Considering on average it takes 3ish days with like a 20kh/s connection, I guess that makes sense that solo would maybe even out or be a bad goal for you since with the pool you're guaranteed your payout. Yeah I'm pretty much trying to figure out if I want to go with litecoinpool or pool-x. What makes ozcoin special? From their website I can't figure out how they do litecoins..

You said you are currently paying for rejects while the problem is sorted out right? So when is that amount added to the payout, after you click the button? Since I currently only have btc earned for my normal shares.
|
|
|
I'm currently testing to see which pool is better for me out of 2 pools and I just kinda wanted to make sure solo was an option. On a PPS pool I get about 13LTC a day and I haven't been on long enough on the PPLNS pool yet to see what that daily outcome is around. Just checking my options basically.
What's your speed that you get more than 50 ltc a day?
|
|
|
Oh I suppose I was thinking of it more as sort of an unconfirmed balance and didn't even think just to push the pay out button..
Crazy me. Thanks!

Is there an estimate on how long it takes for earned shares to go to pending and/or paid out?
|
|
|
Oh okay I'll try to change some of my settings and see if that works. I'm not sure if I have all those files configured correctly.
