I'm one of the ones who lost darkcoins on Mintpal.  I'm only adding myself to the list now that I see green/kennedy being arrested.  I lost 493.11 DRK and even if I never see them again I'd like to be added to any proceedings.  Is it of any use to speak to police in the UK (where I live), should I lodge a complaint to them myself or is there a specific channel anyone would advise me to follow.

Start a thread on Bitcointalk ? You're complaining that you couldn't complete a $200,000 contract because you were short of a screenshot ?

You don't sound like you've got much experience of working with developers - that's what software development's like. Deal with it.

There's a million things that could have been done to promote this coin that didn't need a developer in the loop. All of the serious development was weeks and months away anyway so if you'd been sensible you'd have just left him to it and got on with doing some productive stuff. Sounds to me like you were leaning on dzimbeck for material because you were too dried up to come up with anything yourself.

What about all that AliBaba stuff ? What about going off and researching what the future of decentralised marketplaces was and producing some slides illustrating the differences between online auction markets with and without counterparties ? What about checking into some statistics on market sizes and turnovers ? What about doing some promotional material on the geography of online markets and quantifying the extent to which populations without access to credit cards remain untapped ? What about a paper on the benefits of decantralised escrows and how counterparties currenctly deal with that and how much it costs them ? What about a website promoting the imminent arrival of a new online phenomenon and hammering craigslist, facebook campaigns, lobbying industry shakers ?

That lot might have justified the first 20 BTC of your 500 BTC salary.

The truth is your PR for this coin sucks big time and your trying to pin it on the developer because he didn't send you a paultry wallet screenshot ? I could have done a better job in 3 days and taken about as many BTC for it.

I haven't seen one single thing from you that remotely endorses the veracity of your account apart from empty waffle. You're one huge missed opportunity which is bad enough in itself but the fact that your trying to pin the whole sad story on the developer takes the biscuit.

If we had seen a whole load of deliverables from you and none from dzimbeck it might not be so bad, but there isn't - in fact it's the other way around. At least he's delivered a result to the community to a reasonable timescale.

You can come up with whatever stories you like from now on, but the legacy's all there for the community to see. I don't buy the story that a PR job can't be done because the developer got in the way, specially when the declared roadmap doesn't even call for those deliverables on the critical path.

To me your story is toast.

I have to say, that given my extremely low levels of comprehension with all things DOS, coding and a fair few finer technical points on what makes dark successful, I rely on the words and opinions of the others that make up the sphere of interest and development to help me decide a lot of what makes dark what it says it is.  I've seen many things fail in my time, for many different reasons.  Two things that find themselves on the separate sides of success and failure are blame and innovation.  I'd go as far as to say that my words are far short, the mark, of deserved praise for what dark has come to be able to do [technically] because I don't know exactly what I'm on about...

However - and this is the point - I don't have to know, completely, what i'm on about because the collective of individuals circled on this project is outstanding.  I see an attitude that crushes problems, awaiting the next.  An irony for the whole of crypto and of course business and life is that the point is to remove problems by developing better ways to operate, this is the journey and the fun (if you're that way inclined).  That's why I think that when something comes along to get in the way of this system [DRK], it is purpose built to deal with it from the inside-out... by it's very definition.

It's almost as if detracting sings of a naturally bumpy path on which the journey's original purpose was in the first place, redesigning financial instruments for use beyond the transition between the old trust paradigm and the new.

I'm guessing if Mr.666 had any real bullets to fire he'd have stood more chance at financial gain from collaborating - as stated by Evan in his reply - (too much work perhaps?).  So, either Satan missed the point leaving him with a misdirected valuation of his potential or drk encountered an issue and moved forward another step; same thing - misdirection excluded.
