Can someone explain Sistercoin to me a little more clearly, I have read all the information provided and am still confused about it.

From what I can gather PoW rewards SIS but you only earn transaction fees if there are any in that block which seems like a very small reward for running my gear. What can you do with Sistercoin? do they stake like BRX?

The transaction fees you earn are BRK and only POW earns these. As for sistercoin, there is just a hope it will be use in the future for something. It is not the primary reason to POW

So to run my gear and burn hydro I get "rewarded" with something with no inherent value and dust. that doesn't seem like a fair trade to me. That can't be the system they designed I hope they add Sis somewhere in the game betting platform.

We won't add SIS in the gaming platform, although we will fully support it. Obviously, mining SIS is not for everyone.

Ok, so what is the intended purpose of SIS? From what I have inferred from the white paper it appears that it can be used to pay fees which would then reward a miner with BRK converted from SIS, is that its only function? On the webpage SIS is described as a POS coin, so does it stake? Information about this part of the chain is quite vague so I just need some clarity.

SIS is a Proof-of-Work (PoW) coin. It in no way can be interconverted with any other currency. SIS is rewarded to miners for finding blocks and provides PoW security for the chain. It is actively being mined and has been since launch was announced.

Currently mining SIS is the only way the chain moves. SIS is the only PoW currency on the chain. Only 21M SIS will ever be in existence. Just like Bitcoin, a SIS block is mined on average every 10 minutes and starts with a 50 SIS per block reward. SIS can also be minted via Proof-of-Stake (PoS) by playing cards. Staking playing cards is the only way PoS can mint SIS. Playing cards mature after about 48 days and mint just over twice the PoW block reward. All told, the cards mint a very small fraction (a little more than 1%) of the SIS and do so just to make the cards a little more interesting.

Why would you want to mine SIS? SIS will be fully supported by infrastructure that supports Breakout Chain, which is the blockchain carrying BRK,BRX, SIS, and the Deck of cards. Also SIS is required to pay transaction fees for sending cards. Other than that, SIS does not interconvert or interact with BRK or BRX and is not integral to the adoption strategies of the Breakout Coin company.

One incentive to mine SIS is that only PoW miners can collect transaction fees in any currency on the chain. PoS miners can not collect any fees, and any fees paid on transactions that enter PoS blocks are locked until a PoW miner collects them. This deferral of fee collection for PoW miners is called "fee scavenging".

It is possible that SIS could be like many other cryptocurrencies and acquire a community around it, be listed on exchanges, or accepted by some vendors. Such uses will not be actively pursued by Breakout Coin, however, but may be facilitated if these efforts align with our goals to support the infrastructure, brand building, and adoption of Breakout Chain in general.

Good info.

Do you ever plan on telling us how to mine SIS? Many people have posted here asking how to do it. We're clearly interested, but aside from "coming soon" in the OP we have no information. I'm sure some people just naturally know how but I'm not one of them.

Chinese OP will be up later today and I am also very excited about where this coin is going. By the way when I buy on Trex there is no set ICO PRICE? I just place a buy order ro buy from the sell wall? Sorry was confused as i thought there is just one ICO price. Wink

The highest price before sellout is 4500/BTC, which will be the price the last few days of the sale. Prior to then, the price will effectively be lower. Right now, there is a 10% bonus applied to the BTC used to buy, measured in shares. In other words, 1 BTC will buy approximately 1.1 share at the moment and each share will purchase 4500 BRK. A share, according to Bittrex, is defined as a fraction of the total coins. Until we sell out, the fraction of total coins that a share buys is fixed at 4500 BRK. After we sell out, the number of coins that a share buys will decrease. Please see: https://bittrex.com/crowdfund/brk

IT does seem to look there are lots of users going to use BRK. not a gambler though. but

Would like to join the signature campaign actually andt would just wanna ask whether how much is this coin gonna be after this ICO?

The highest price during the ICO is 4500/BTC unless we sell out, then the price goes up. Please see https://bittrex.com/crowdfund/brk

40 Minutes left for the 15% Bonus on Bittrex

Seems that Bittrex already lowered the bonus to 10%, shouldn't there still be about 33 mins left with 15% bonus?

right was sending btc to trex to make sure I get the 15% aw oh well.

This was a little snafu at trex. It is being fixed now. It will go at least for another 34 minutes. We are working to get the 15% bonus extended for 1 hour because of lost time.

Ok thanks! I will join the crowdfunding.  Smiley

Please ensure that the crowdfund page says 15%. It is being worked on now.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll wait till it shows the current amount.

It's taking a few minutes to deploy on the crowdfund page, which will reflect the 15% bonus shortly.

The 15% is still the wall at the market page: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-BRK

You can get the 15% bonus by going to https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-BRK for the next 1 hr and 15 minutes.

Our apologies for this confusion.

19.5 M BRK

2.5 M BRK *Founders
7 M BRK *Marketing fund
6.6 M BRK *Second Coin Sale

\\\

12.5 M BRX
-
3.3 M BRX *First Coin Sale
2.5 M BRX *Founders
6.6 M BRK *Second Coin Sale

~0.1 M *apparently inaccuracy

Seems correct to me.

The 0.1 M inaccuracy is simply from rounding. You can see a more precise breakdown in the OP and the Bittrex sale page: https://bittrex.com/crowdfund/brk

Can someone who is good at maths please help me understand this coin's distribution?

I can't work this out, there is a shortfall somewhere in their distribution figures or I am doing it wrong, one of the two

19.5 M BRK and 12.5 M BRX will be created. 19.5 + 12.5 = 32

3.3 million BRK & BRX First Coin Sale
2.5 Million BRK & BRX founders

7 million marketing fund BRK
6.6 million BRK Second Coin Sale

6.6 BRX second coin sale funding

7 + 6.6 + 6.6 = 20.2 Definite BRK Sold or marketing fund

3.3+2.5 = 5.8 BRK and BRX first sale and to founders

20.2 + 5.8 = 26

seems like about a 6 million shortfall in either BRX or BRK or a combination, where did they go, or am i missing something obvious?

Yes, You can't add BRK and BRX because they are two different currencies.

Do all of your accounting by treating them separately.

main.exe blocked by virus protection considers it potential ransomware tried to change or delete documents file?

Which virus protection software are you using?

bitdefender

I went through and did a full analysis of anything that could trigger a positive on a virus scan.

First I scanned the current windows zip file. It had already been scanned by someone else here.

BitDefender turned up nothing:

This scan did trigger one positive for "RemoteAdmin.W32.Ammyy.mE3Z" by AegisLab. This positive traces to libwinpthread-1.dll, which is the stock 32 bit Qt 5.4.0 mingw libwinpthread-1.dll, changed only with a Comodo signature for CryptoCertify attached.

I have included libwinpthread-1.dll, unchanged, in testnet releases of Breakout Coin. You can see the results of an old scan here.

In that scan AegisLab found nothing:

If you click on the "File detail" tab to look compare the two scans and that they changed. You can be assured, by VirusTotal, that they are the same file with the SHA256 hash (7c33c7d85c1072f3b76661d9b66de404c4c0d0427d2af15f3c61815fcd3a13d5).

I tested the unsigned libwinpthread-1.dll obtained directly from the Qt 5.4.0 bundle, with virus total here and it turned up nothing.

That means that AegisLab found some bytes in the signature that triggered a false positive. It seems to be in the date stamp. I signed the same stock Qt 5.4.0 libwinpthread-1.dll with a new datestamp, and the newly signed dll is clean according to VirusTotal here.

I replaced the previous libwinpthread-1.dll that gives the AegisLab false positive with the newly signed file, re-made the Breakout Chain 1.3.2.0 zip bundle and tested that with VirusTotal here. This archive now has no positives, false or otherwise.

I replaced the old zip archive for release 1.3.2.0 with the new archive, the link for which is in the OP of this thread. I also signed the main executable of the new zip bunlde with the Comodo CryptoCertify signature.

There will be a Bittrex Poker tournament this Sunday.  Lots of BRK to be won.  Bounties on knocking out Bittrex staff.

Win the tournament and received the coveted 5h from the DECK!

Go to breakoutpoker.net to enter.

Official announcement: https://slack-files.com/T0779H80P-F1J1PRULX-a454363df7

Cool! What can you do with the 5h card?

They are just collectibles but a demand has already started since each card is one of a kind in existence.  In the BRK slack, the 7d was recently sold for .7 btc and people are constantly offering to buy cards people received from their participation in the testnet.

Just to be 100% accurate, it was the 7H.

I understand the vocation of Breakout Coin, Breakout Stake, Sister Coin, and The Deck. But what Atomic currency is for?

Atomic is a currency I worked on to develop and debug code that makes The Deck work. It was sort of a placeholder for colored coin currencies during development. It is an "atomic currency" and was needed as I debugged delegated fees and other aspects of indivisible colored coins.

After I made The Deck, I just kept Atomic in and bumped it from 100 coins to 10,000,000,000. It serves practically no purpose. It was "premined" into the coin company wallet and will probably sit for a long time. We may use it for promotions or an internal currency or not at all. It is not in competition with or has any influence on any other currency on the chain. It's perfectly benign.

Thank you for your answer.

Will SIS coin be tradable on exchanges?

It is able to be traded on exchanges. Whether exchanges offer it is up to them. It is not our principal currency, but provides a PoW component to the blockchain security of Breakout Chain. If you mine it, you are taking a chance that it will ever be listed.

Lol, no source code on github, but windows and mac binaries from somewhere? Are u fucking kidding?

That is weird indeed.
Also, all premined coins are staking.

"staking moneysupply" : 12500000.00000000,
"staking totalmint" : 12500000.00000000,

This doesn't mean those coins are staking. What it means is that the coin being reported (BRX) is a staking coin. That staking coin has a money supply of 12,500,000. This means that there are 12,500,000 of these staking coins in circulation. This total amount in circulation is the same as the total that have ever been minted, meaning none of these coins are awaiting being scavenged as fees by PoW miners.
