41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 23, 2015, 02:23:03 PM
Just a regular summer storm. But the wind drag on the 200 sqft plastic sail of the Moby and the two-foot, viciously short waves are urging her to rip free from the anchors. A few days later, an upset owner posts pics of the sorry half-sunk & wind-torn carcass that crushed ashore on his Facebook page, making any would-be buyer reconsider - would they even want to stay overnight in such an unsafe contraption? It just takes one post to cause a 200-CEO-pack stampede. Arch is a one-bullet target waiting to be shot...

Just because you have the ability to build a house does not mean you have to place it in a volcano.
Just for argument's sake.

I tend to use that argument for people who live in tornado alley and have wooden houses there... but indeed.

What's the technical point of Arch Huh

Just hop down the MarketCap to get a perspective:
- Ripple provides a reassuring bridge to fiat
- Dash offers some much-needed anonymity
- Bitshares brings a decentralized exchange
- NXT is a revolutionary multi-coin wallet with integrated services

ARCH on the other hand just sounds like an empty marketing stunt that will crash flat in a blink...

Note: I haven't invested in any of those as they are overpriced for me. I'm rather into underdogs like Fibre.

You should read the whitepaper and the previous pages of this thread with updates from btcarchitect, if you still don't get it, move on to a shitcoin like tron or crave or something.

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 20, 2015, 06:27:02 AM
Well then you just hold 1 coin and that will be morth close a billion dollars Wink
not very realistic that all coins will be bought up. There will be less and less coins on the market and also less CEO's some will lose playing the waves. Some will just cash out at some point.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 19, 2015, 10:15:31 AM
Any updates from the CEO channel ?

If there were, why would we post it here? Wink
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 18, 2015, 09:16:09 AM
Arch is awesome, the slack is awesome and with the voting that is coming up, we have real input in the future of the companies.
Just when I started losing faith in crypto and the people involved with it, I found arch Smiley

nice moeseph...come say hello in the irc or slack...the community is great around here...

Isn't the slack channel for people with only over 8k coins?

yes you must have 8k arch to join the slack group

Too bad, I only have 1.3k coins right now. But i've sent them to my wallet and it's been over 2 hours now and I haven't received them.

do you have the TxID for the transaction? If so go check it in the blockexplorer make sure it went through also triple check the address you sent it to

I do, and I have. It still says "not yet redeemed" after 41 confirmations.

Bittrex is incredibly slow nowadays with both bitcoin and arch withdrawals, wait a couple of hours or make a ticket at bittrex.
Of course also make sure that your wallet is synced.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 14, 2015, 03:27:26 PM
Noobish question here but does ARCH have any say in transaction fees on Bittrex? 0.2ARCH per transaction seems pretty high
bittrex decides that themselves. although I guess that btcarchitect can ask them
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 14, 2015, 10:17:18 AM
Interesting... I will buy on the dip.

you and 100 people, good luck Wink
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 14, 2015, 06:09:22 AM
it is a bargain just for the community...

agreed.

What you have to understand about ARCH is that the price compared to bitcoin doesn't matter. If you read the whitepaper it clearly states that a part of the profit of all the ventures will be used to buy up arch from the exchanges. This means that if, for example, there is 5,000 USD profit from the sale of a Moby, if bitcoin is $ 250 that there will be marketbuys for 20 btc. However if bitcoin is $ 100 there will be marketbuys for 100 btc. So the price, which is currently pegged to btc, is irrelevant. The USD price is what matters.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 13, 2015, 08:31:18 AM
Everyone asking for more information here should read the whitepaper ( archcoin.co/pdf/archcoin_whitepaper.pdf ) again.
It's clearly stated that the CEO's (everyone who holds more than 32K coins) get their information first.
So if you want more information, sign up to be a CEO and discover all information that we know Wink on top of that you'll meet some awesome people in our slack.
If you can't afford/don't want to become CEO you'll have to wait until public announcement which will happen when it happens.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The ARCH Network - NEWS (Miami 2015) on: January 23, 2015, 07:12:48 AM
Those of us with patience and foresight have been accumulating quite the bags of ARCH over the last 2 months.  I personally don't plan on letting mine go anytime soon and will *always* keep at the bare minimum a CEO position.  This is one of the beauties of ARCH.  In the best case scenario there can only be 500ish CEO's (16mil / 32k) The best case scenario will never happen.  I think it far more likely that CEO's will max out around 300, maybe 350 at most in 2016 as coins slowly get distributed as early investors take profit.

There are about 150 CEO's now and the price is still dirt cheap.  I realize for most crypto is about getting rich quick, but why not adjust your mental time frame to think about "quick" meaning in a year or two.  If the market was like it was in the spring where there were half a dozen coins going x50 every week, it wouldn't make a ton of sense to invest in a real project.  Now the ONLY thing that makes sense is to invest in a real project.  ARCH is legit.  It's full of legit investors with long term goals, led by a legit individual with presence, intelligence, and a mind for running actual businesses.

ARCH isn't guaranteed to succeed - nothing in life is a sure thing, but there is no doubt in my mind that ARCH offers the least risk and highest reward of any crypto on the market today.  ARCH is not a coin.  ARCH is one of the first real cryptostocks.

I agree, had my eye on this one for a while but lacked the funds. Been doing quite well with bitcoin recently and bought 2 BTC yesterday and I'm CEO now for only 460 USD which is very cheap. I don't support a lot of coins but this one has a nice unique and useful vision.

Coinfire picked up documents from the SEC yesterday so lets see today how that gets on.

where did you get the information from?

I got banned on hashtalk for mentioning stripe and telling everyone they should ask for a refund on their CC Sad

UPDATE:

I had a nice 30+ minute phone meeting with Carol R Van Cleef, who is a Partner of one of the country's most notable law firms within the business, securities, and regulatory realms in addition to the Digital Chamber in Washington D.C. and it was a very productive chat.

More info to come. In the mean time, there is an option for ANYONE who feels they were wronged by Garza, GAW and/or any other entity within the crypto industry.

Go here: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/#money-transfer

Choose the "virtual currency" tab. If still under construction, use the other option but SPECIFY it is for a "virtual" or cryptocurrency matter. There will be a place to write and file your narrative of what happened and what you have lost financially and/or how you were mislead.

great job!

This is all awesome stuff but can someone take initiative and make it all (with the archive links) in 1 nice big post so that suchmoon can copy it to the OP? That will make everyting a lot easier.

You can either categorize it by date or by subcategory (ex: paybase, paycoin, hashlets, KNC,..) Prefer timeline though.
