41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could ether hit 100k? on: January 14, 2021, 05:12:39 PM
No, that is not possible for the simple reason that there is no set cap on the amount of Ether to ever exist.
So a couple of thousand dollars, and some form of a fix when it comes to transaction costs, then it has a nice chance of increasing in value.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better, ether or bitcoin? on: January 14, 2021, 05:11:22 PM
It depends on the risk you are willing to take.
Ethereum has a much higher chance of jumping several folds in value.
But it is also easier for it to lose value.

When it comes to Bitcoin, its way harder to rocket up in price.
That is when you look at it normally.. Right now we are on an insane bullrun.

Personally, I would put my money on Ethereum Smiley
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What small but promising project have you been following? on: January 14, 2021, 05:04:30 PM
Hey everyone.

I write articles here and there about small projects that I find interesting.
Mainly just to practice my writing skills, as they do need to be polished.

But.. As the title says, are there any small projects you follow that you find interesting?

This can from all sorts of different perspectives, whether it's financial gains, technology development, or simply a meme coin.
Which small projects are worth looking into these days?

Hamukione

Well, the discord server is growing nice and steady.

But something does need to happen with this project soon, or else miners will just opt and leave.
Exchanges are needed.
Services that support the coin are needed.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tidecoin: Post-Quantum Security Bitcoin | PoW only | CPU friendly algo on: January 08, 2021, 08:02:25 PM
I do have limited knowledge to compile CPU binaries on my Win/Ryzen machine, so I downloaded Awesome Miner (https://www.awesomeminer.com/) in order to mine this coin.
The software is using Yespower on cpuminer-sse2 but I get Reject: Low difficulty share of... all the time.

Is there a fix for that which involves no compilation of binaries? I would like to see the miner directly run from the wallet, the lower the entry the more adoption.

Check out the https://pool.rplant.xyz/#tidecoin#connect.
They got links to a functional miner.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tidecoin: Post-Quantum Security Coin | PoW only | CPU friendly algo on: January 08, 2021, 02:34:33 PM

Also, do you have any plans of reducing the inflation rate of Tidecoin?
Because as of right now, its pretty insane that 50% of the coin supply will be minted in just 6 months.

Yes, the inflation rate is a little high. This design is considered to make the supply approximately equal to bitcoin after 4 years(maybe the point of quantum crack time).

Do you think how long to produce the 50% of the coin is suitable? Also the Discord discussion is welcome.

Well, right now we are experiencing some serious hyperinflation.
Right now, with 2880 blocks per day (with 1 min block time) about 115.200 TDC is released, daily.
Thats 9 days or less per million.

Send me a message.
Id be happy to help out, as I have previous experience with running my own blockchain project.

Quantum computers could crack Bitcoin by 2022 (https://decrypt.co/28560/quantum-computers-could-crack-bitcoins-encryption-by-2022)
By Robert Stevens

Don'T believe everything you read on the internet  Grin

First sha256, then x11, and a passel of similar algos with low degree of resilience against quantum abuse, then mimble-wimble, then no-algo coins, pure POS, then DPOS. Investment in something that everyone knows is threatened by enhanced cracker capacities of future computers is batty money proliferation strategy. Sell bitcoin.

Indeed, if bitcoin core is not planning to upgrade the crypto algorithm used in bitcoin to Post-Quantum security ones, it is undoubtedly a serious threat in the near future. As a value storage tool, the security is the first.

Could you confirm whether or not that you are the owner of one of these addresses?

I tried to send a message to the dev of the project regarding the lack of a discord server.
But I got no response, so instead, I made an unofficial server Smiley

Feel free to join it here: https://discord.gg/SnZW2ykXkH

And dev, if you don't feel like maintaining a discord server yourself, then it would be a big help to your own community, to link to the server in the announcement post Smiley

Thanks Cheesy

Finebox exchange is very bad, very inconvenient interface, high commission for withdrawal, slow withdrawal once a day.
This is very bad for a coin. Many negative reviews on this exchange - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123795.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5298011.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169895.0

On other exchanges there is no trade, there is no liquidity, a market maker is needed, new exchanges are needed at least of the graviex,crex24 level.
Without trade, normal exchanges, the coin will not survive.

Zeon Exchange  is the Official exchange with very low fees  ... But sure very few trades !
https://exchange.zeonhexalgo.fun/market

This is the exchange. IT is not in the start topic. Few people know about it, are there any plans for marketing the exchange and coins?

I am the Zeon dev ... I only know how to code ... No marketing capabilities ...

       Are you good in Marketing

Send me a message.

I might be able to help you out.

52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think COVID19 is a scam? on: November 14, 2020, 03:47:50 AM
I dont think that Covid19 is a scam.
I think its real, but governments are using (abusing) a lot more power than they need.

I personally believe it's some kind of power grab by the "higher-ups".

In Denmark, we basically had a law passed that allows the government to forcefully vaccinate the population.

That is totally against my personal beliefs.

If people wanna get vaccinated, feel free to..
But I believe that a government has no right to force its citizens to receive a vaccination if they do not wish to. (I am not anti vax, and have personally gotten all vaccinations throughout my life.)

I just find power abuse disgusting.

53  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Trump vs Biden] Free Debate Thread, Untainted by Mainstream Propaganda on: November 14, 2020, 03:44:13 AM
I personally hoped to see Donald take another 4 years, but if Biden won fair and square, then it is what it is.

But Trump did not do as bad as msm is trying to but it.

Lots of peace deals in the middle east, North Korea finally chatting up South Korea and a bit more.

Looking forward to see if msm is going to be as harsh on Biden, as they were on Trump.

Withdrew from NATO
This is false. The US has not withdrawn from NATO, in fact we provided military assistance to our NATO allies upon their request in the spring to help combat the coronavirus when their hospitals were being overrun.
Trump has however gotten our NATO allies to pay for something closer to the amounts they have promised to pay...
So a totally unfair situation was corrected. Unless you always want to pick up the tab when you go out with friends. I'm not seeing even how to make that into an anti-Trump joke...

Withdrew from NATO
This is false.
It's a list of things Trump didn't do.  Everything on the list is 'false'.

We're not doing a list of things that didn't/haven't happened.

Trump did Make America Great again...
Space Force.

Totally Great.

I know its an old reply...

But "Trump has however gotten our NATO allies to pay for something closer to the amounts they have promised to pay..."

Denmark (where I am from) has increase its budget towards NATO a bit for this reason.
(Still not meeting the minimum, but we still have a strong and very well trained defense force)
((Which might be why we are always one of the first nations to be asked to provide some of our forces to help in international operations)) xD

Privacy is under attack.

I personally am thinking of switching over to Tor to keep some kind of privacy.
The EU thing where they wanna demand access to all encrypted services with a master key is fucking insane.

Fuck the EU.

Interested in the USB miners + jalapeno, really don't know how much is worth this hardware currently... Do you have boxes of everything?

I have cases for the USB miners, but not the Jalapeno.
It would be shipped in a non original box.

Was looking for a jalap with original box, as a collection item... what could be the shipping cost from denmark to italy?

About 10€, if the calculation that I used is correct.
