1) Don't post in self-moderated topics
2) Create your own to discuss freely
3) Ignore all shitcoins.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to Invest in 2015 on: February 02, 2015, 11:50:08 AM
Asking here doesn't help everyone gives you the coin they hold, you need someone in a neutral position which you won't find here.

This is exactly it. Personally I don't see much value in any alts, though that may change in the future. I'd just put your money in bitcoin as that's where all the money is going in to in actually developing it as a viable currency. I mean, the Winkelvi haven't invested in doge have they?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENOUGH WITH THE SCAM COINS. BUY ID'D DEV COINS ONLY! on: February 02, 2015, 11:38:35 AM
Most every NEW coin that is announced will be from a scam team so don't give them your money.

Non Scam coins with ID'd DEVs:
Darkcoin
Vericoin is reversing higher with some game changing POS developments in the pipeline.
Archcoin
Dogecoin
SuperNET

Invest accordingly

You can't just invest in a coin because the devs are known. Besides, people will just start faking IDs or their identities to gain trust then scam at a later date so being known really isn't going to stop scams. Personally I'd avoid all coins unless you actually believe in them for whatever reason.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dead. The year of the Altcoin on: January 14, 2015, 12:16:35 PM
There is so much bs and rigging going on in this space right now.

Like this hasn't been happening with alt coins. In fact, that's pretty much how most of these scam coins work isnt it? Give btc time and I'm sure it will still continue to soar far above all alts.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gems will change everything. on: January 14, 2015, 12:09:40 PM
I didn't say it will change everything I asked the question. Your role in a discussion is to know what we are talking about and have an opinion.

Do you want to know where babies come from too?

You said exactly that "Gems will change everything" I thought you going to support this claim

Did you honestly expect this from an altcoiner?  Cheesy. Gems as an application does sound interesting but I'm more interested in something like it using bitcoin instead of a crappy alt.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins, in general, worthless and pointless? on: December 23, 2014, 12:32:35 PM
answer to the question.

   No and Yes.

They're worthless and pointless if they don't offer anything new, but if they offer something different they likely will, but 99% don't and are just pump and dump scams so I'd avoid them.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: sell 1000 zippcoins 10$ for paypal! on: December 23, 2014, 09:53:28 AM
You'll probably get scammed using paypal here. I'd get bitcoin then try sell them to a trusted buyer here who deals in paypal.
48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where did Blockchain.info go?!!! on: December 08, 2014, 07:42:48 PM
Blockchain.info has been removed because it's not considered secure enough. This is because you do not control the private keys.

You control the private keys. They never have access to it.

Blockchain is the best online wallet you can have.

This is why I don't get all the fuss. Blockchain.info seems to be the most trusted and reliable web wallet out there. In fact, I don't trust many others. The recent hackings are down to users own security or problems logging in via tor.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTC vs. LTC vs. rock @lmao on: November 24, 2014, 08:06:30 PM
Meh. Wasn't FTC a copy of LTC? Not very innovative on that front.

it was a clone coin and it is not anymore, something changed = innovation.
To talk straight that innovation is new algorithm.

Aren't pretty much all alt coins clone coins with something changed slightly? I don't think either FTC or LTC will go anywhere without merchant adoption, though.
50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Storing bitcoins on: November 11, 2014, 07:54:29 AM
If they're on any type of exchnage or third party site then you can lose them if you don't own the private keys, so just bare that in mind. Personally I'd just hold the coins you have now and hope for the best for the future.1NemaYUMWD3r3AdVEVqQWwuXd5oUM91qPS
51  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a question on: October 13, 2014, 05:00:24 PM
It's bad because devs do it just so they can get rich quick. It gives them an unfair advantage.
