Is anyone opposed to having new QT support wallets developed for win, mac and linux? I myself am still staking on the old mac version and the thing crashes constantly.

I am working on a new advanced wallet UI that I will present soon, but in the meantime, it would be great to just have super stable and simple wallets to stake with. Also gives a chance to hardcode the nodes which will help with network.

This was discussed here and that is what was decided. NakamotoDark is longer, more complex and a weaker brand. Also, what is 'dark' about this coin? The dark thing is being moved away from by the whole of crypto because well, it's been done and it's mostly meaningless at this point.

To me, nakas can be a zillion times more fun than nakamotodark, and the reason it was picked is that pretty much everyone calls them nakas anyhow. I come from a branding and marketing background, and I can tell you that nakas is the stronger brand for many reasons. That said, this is a community coin now, if the whole community changes its mind and we all want to go back to NakamotoDark, then that is what will happen.

The plan we've all been discussing is to not lose our roots as a tribute coin, but moving the main focus on being understandable and usable by normal people. Coins that can't make it through that transition will not last. The plan is to push boundaries of what happens in wallets and crypto marketing, and develop ways to make it all understandable and useful to non-crypto folk.

I've said it many times and I'll repeat it again, so many of the crypto projects are in a tech race but have forgotten how you make all of this get to the masses. I'd like to see us try and fix that.

It wasn't us who called Nakas lifestyle. NakamotoDark is never going to make it to mass acceptance, Nakas has a chance.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we would be getting 10% of amount staked yearly, not of our total coin.

For me the reason is the limited coin supply. Say for example you were getting 1-2 bitcoin a day staking... I'm sure that would not be seen as too little. Once we get value to where it should be, 1-2 coins a day will be quite nice to have 

We will be reviewing how Staking is structured with dev to confirm how it's all set up. OP claims 10% which seems huge, but if so, great.

We also need updated wallets, mac QTs for example hang and linux have to look into also. I'm thinking maybe maintenance QTs, styled up but just for basic staking and send/receive. We then start/continue work on the advanced wallet.

I'm going to do some calculations based on a day of staking properly and see what's coming in. I can say that I was staking almost nothing when I got started, and as I've kept at it way more seems to be coming in.

Yes, I think it is normal because once again, look how rare the coin is. How much coin do u have staking?

You have to realise that this is a pretty rare coin still in its infancy. There are only 88 million nakas, and at current value it does not seem like much. This coin can only go much higher unless it dies of course, there's just not enough coin. When that happens, your stake of a couple coins a day might just be worth a fair bit.

On a separate note, we just set up two machines as a node support network, one in NY and the other in Amsterdam. They will serve as entry points to the network for new users and be able to server the blockchain really fast.

These will be hardcoded into the next release of our wallet, but in the meantime you can add the following to your nakamoto.conf :

I just spun my wallet up with those in and network is way better. I also noticed that this IP from the original conf was down, in case anybody is still using it > 54.148.235.111

Some of us will most definitely not be joining you there. Not selling before crypto goes public in fact. I am sure people joining at that point will be delighted to take your coin off ya around 20 tho, and if you are happy with that, everybody wins! 

Too right, that makes two of us cracking up. Funny thing is, these are precisely the people that will get left behind here, still trying to FUD and push their greed and idiocy onto themselves, when everyone else has moved on with crypto to working with the rest of the normal world. Good point, thanks for claiming it! I can't change the official account over until you release it. Just announced the rebrand so was planning on doing the change today in most places. Everything else is claimed, including domains and facebook.

I don't like the 'coin' thing much, it's just too overused. I am thinking of going for 'getnakas' which is available, in fact almost changed it yesterday. I like this much because of the NLP value in it. We also now own getnakas.com and .co. It's sort of like the 'drink CocaCola' thing. Get nakas is preparing you to, well, get nakas!

I'm trying to find the remark you are referring to. I'm not for one second saying we should abandon our roots, which are in a tribute coin. This is how it started, this is at the core of the coin, preserving and upholding the original concept behind crypto as created by Nakamoto. Evolving to Nakas is not about losing any of that, it's about adding more on top and growing up into a solid brand.

For public acceptance, nakas will have to incorporate crypto education. We are perfectly positioned to do that as a tribute coin that will tell the crypto story.
