41  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Beta - Bitcoin Aliens Android App (faucet) on: March 08, 2015, 05:20:55 PM
Faucet-o-naut Serial: Mart2000 report: Preliminary: "Hey Ma, It Works!!!" Smiley

1. I'm sure the most important thing to many people is that I successfully earned and cashed out 1014 satoshi:-

Before playing: balance: 5750 satoshi
After playing: balance: 6764 satoshi

2. OK, it took a while, but as I wrote above I do have an antique Sony Experion (X10i) about 10 years old maybe? It has severely limited resources so really, don't let this worry you.

3. I was a little surprised to see an Xapo advert, yet it didn't let me enter my Xapo *email* address as some other faucets do. If their promo is still on, then we could be receiving an extra 50% on all earnings.

4. Some (mutable) sound effects would be uber-cool. Especially when we kill the wave of aliens, so we know we won Smiley

5. You are right that the gameplay calculations need some attention. Maybe a difficulty factor for each alien/group? So that one that is difficult (the left/right slider alien) gets say 1.1 times the payout? Or those pesky purple aliens we get 1.5 times! Uh-oh! Look! they are invading this post already!

6. Above all really: It is an amazingly STABLE APP. even on my steam-powered "smart" phone. Many apps crash, freeze, and generally mess people about even when they have current devices (read some of the comment/reviews to see what i mean, and some of those people charge you money for them. I wonder if the bitcoinaliens Android app is the first app that PAYS YOU ?

7. For a beta release all I can add is: Well Done, Great Job to bitcoinaliens and the Developer!!
(now just don't go breaking it OK? Cheesy)

Nanu Nanu Peace out (Robin Williams RIP)

Is there no end to bitcoinaliens' awesome-ness ?
Is there such a word as awesome-ness ?
Why am I asking all these silly questions?

The last one is probably due to lack of sleep! I promised myself a nap a while ago, but I simply must try this out on my l'il old Sony Ericsson first!

If it works on this ol' thing it should work on a piece of string and two tin cans (ask your parents LOL Cheesy )

I'll let you know how i get on Daniel D'Alien Smiley

CAPTCHAS - Please guys can you just read the previous page, or even the previous messages just a few messages before rather than reposting. I don't control the difficulty - they appear like this if you have entered a lot of captchas in a short space of time.. so just come back later.

@bitcoinaliens If I can make a suggestion? I believe that on this forum you can go back and edit your original post. If you could put up a numbered FAQ hosted somewhere that answers these questions, and then link to them from the first post, it might just help. (Be careful of SM's terms, I just read them (I now have a headache!) and helping people *too* much could be an issue for SM). The numbering is so that those of us trying to help others can just type, "please read FAQ #99" or like that.

In a forum you will always get some people who just assume that everybody is here for their benefit and just ask instead of doing a little own research. It's a "cost of doing business" ;-)  I see it as no publicity is bad publicity. What if this topic vanished off the front page of the forum? (not likely but you see what I mean?)

Another common "habit" of new users is to read the first post and then hit "Reply" - often they don't even realise that their question has been answered a gazillion times before.

Daniel, I think you are doing a quite incredible job (ahem [cough] except for my occasional pleas re: my coinad account mart2013 Tongue ) So I am more than happy to do my best in helping the new users in to the weird and wacky world of bitcoin Smiley and the weirder and wackier, but highly profitable world of Planet Uruk Smiley

Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV)
Mart.

well, for me it takes many mistakes to get the right one  Sad Sad, for example one of my tries:

(snipped images)

any way to get them easier? not just to "refresh"  Undecided

Yeuccchhhh!!!!! Yes, I have seen those in the past, but usually only when I have spent an hour or two surfing lots of faucets.

You say you are "refreshing". Do you mean refreshing the Page? That may be causing problems.

Just now (ugh zimagez is playing games Sad )

See those three grey boxes in the bottom right corner? If you hold your mouse pointer steady over them, a tooltip will popup telling you briefly what each one does. (Sorry if it sounds like I'm taking down at you - just making sure I cover all the bases).
The first one (circular arrow) gets you a new image. The next one "speaks" a capTcha (never had much luck with that one!)
The third one [ ? ] gets you the help screen. Click that one and then click the big blue  [ Report a Problem ] button.

I have found that sometimes, mention that you need to solve many capTchas, they clear your "block" within a few hours.

No guarantees, but I hope that helps.

Each and everytime when the weekend comes, I getting error messages on browser when I try to reach weekendbitcoin, I think there will be huge rush on weekends, because lots of satoshi...

Working fine here (UK) syamster.

What error messages are you seeing?

The same message I am getting every weekends "This web page is not available".  All other days site working perfectly, only weekend...lol

I think you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) but first you can confirm that weekendbitcoin is truly OK by going to http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/weekendbitcoin.com and seeing what it reports.

Sorry I can't be of more help on this one. Good Luck!
46  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Weekend Bitcoin - The World's Highest Paying Faucet on: March 08, 2015, 11:26:14 AM
why are the past two days captchas so difficult? it takes me ages to put the right one  Sad

BitcoinAliens / WeekendBitcoin do not control the capTcha's.

There was some discussion about this a page or two back, and the general feeling is that if you do a large number of capTcha's in a short time period the the capTcha company (SolveMedia) may make them harder to read, finally becoming impossible. Sounds crazy, but originally these systems were designed for e.g. buying tickets and like that where once per day is more usual.

Your best bet might be:-
1. to take some time out, especially from any other faucets.
2. report the unreadable capTcha's using the Help  [ ? ] button.

Hope that helps.

Is this coin dead?
If it is, then there is no need for the thread any more.

I would say I am 99.99999 recurring % certain that it is dead. As for closing the topic, read the post immediately above yours.

Ummm... The new S'ru'un Alien may have been my fault... I mentioned that I had a long sequence of Frogs (Ribbit!) and maybe Daniel D'alien took pity on me! Perhaps he kissed the Frog and instead of a beautiful Alien Princess, we got ...

Not only are BitcoinAliens and WeekendAliens the Highest paying, Easiest, faucets out there, but we have Daniel D'Alien to keep us on our toes and make the whole thing like a story/game. Enjoy!!

(And please be sure to support his sponsors)

or at least edit a warning/disclaimer into the first post? As I'm sure you know a lot of newbies read the OP and then hit "reply" without reading on  Roll Eyes

The fat lady didn't sing (yet) but the PO and OP has been MIA for a very long time.

Strangely enough the website is still up http://latium.cc so maybe something bad really did happen to the PO but he had already paid in advance for the hosting?

Cheers,

That changes nothing. The thread is still valid for discussion and just because the dev is gone, doesn't mean the thread becomes obsolete.

 Huh

I already earned lots of satoshi from this site, but the problem is, currently its shows "the page not found" message, does any one is having the same problem ?

@syamster  what does this test site say for you? http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/weekendbitcoin.com

52  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Alien Faucet - 4010 Satoshi an HOUR (limited) on: March 04, 2015, 07:59:40 PM
I gave up on this faucet, the captchas just got harder and harder until I was tearing apart my mouse requesting different(easier) things I could solve. With all the garbage text on the page, just making things longer than it needs to be, the site is a royal pain. And requiring an email to start spamming people's mailboxes with loads of thing that have affiliate links, so not cool. Glad to unsubscribe from that crap. Lots of people waste their time on the site if they give a bogus email, since you can never cash out then. Worst "game" execution ever.

About the captchas:  The bad ones are coming more frequently in the past days. I had problems with then too, You just need to stop for a few minutes and they go back to normal.
About the spamming e-mails:  You will receive only a few. The others are: a confirmation to withdraw and when then are sending.
About the affiliate links:  I found: www.weekendbitcoin.com thanks to then. 1000 satoshis per hour is a really good deal.
About the cash out:  They always have paid. I had no problems.
And finally... Sorry if I misunderstood something You said, that`s because my english is really really reeeeeeeeeeally BAD.
WeekendBitcoin doesn't work for me always. Most of the time it's down for me  Undecided Undecided

@LordOfCoin, I would (really!)  defend to my death your right to express an opinion, but that does not mean I must agree with you. What "garbage text" are you referring to? Can you screen print it and then upload / paste it here?

@Ryu Hunter, Exactly Smiley

@adzino bookmark or somehow keep this link: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/weekendbitcoin.com
Next time the weekendbitcoin site is down for you, it will independently test and tell you if it's up or not. My ฿ 0.001 is on "It's just you Smiley If I'm right, contact your ISP. - Hope that Helps.

Hi Dan ( bitcoinaliens )

Congrats on taking over coinad.com I must be one of the few who needs to thank Carlos because while I was using it last year, it worked and paid OK.

I see the Terms still say, "After 30 days of inactivity, your account will be permanently suspended."

I guess I fell into that hole, could you un-suspend my account: mart2013 please?

I am subscribed to both bitcoinaliens and weekendbitcoin newsletters and NO WAY can they be described as "spam". We opted in to receive them! and the content is usually interesting and useful.
It is a little frustrating to get reminded of CoinAd when I can't login though LOL Cheesy )

55  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Alien Faucet - 4010 Satoshi an HOUR (limited) on: March 03, 2015, 12:40:52 AM
So what solve media does is saying: if you visit website x more then n times, you must be a robot. That's quite a solid business plan they've got there... One could argue solve media is very bad at it's job! What's the use of a captcha if humans cannot solve it?
Compare this to the little animations where you have to put chocolate on icecream for example, those things humans can do.
I think you are talking about ''Are you a Human?'' captcha. They are fun to play. Would be great if bitcoinalien changes to this service.

Yes, they are fun Cheesy though I think I have seen all the games now. They need some new ones Smiley

There are Pro's and Con's for all the capTcha* types.
  • The Program (Faucet) owners prefer the ones that are hardest to crack, and if the capTcha pays a little too that's a bonus Smiley
  • The cheats and thieves prefer the ones that are easiest to crack.
  • The honest users prefer the ones that don't mess them about, and if they are fun to do, well that's a bonus Smiley

SolveMedia is a good compromise, and a good choice IMHO. If you get an impossible one that could mean you are blocked for "over-use". Try clicking the Help (?) button and report it. That sometimes clears your block a little sooner.

**** If bitcoinaliens could make it so we can choose which capTcha type, and cookie that for say an hour or two, returning to HIS favourite type after a while, that could help.

OR, do as I do and treat it as a reminder that I have been clicking too long and you should go get some sleep or kiss your wife or say hello to your children...  Cool

* Why do I capitalise the T? Strictly speaking it should be written CAPTCHA. The T stands for a name, Turing, aka Alan Turing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing I use a capital in honour of a young man who probably saved 10,000 or more lives.

Don't let that newbie tag fool you ;-)

Ok this has already ran out - took around 1 hour. WOW!

We might need to rethink the weekend payout idea or just some other way to do this as 1 hour isn't long enough, but at the same time I don't have an infinite money supply Tongue

I need to get some sleep, but if I dream up any ideas for you I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks as always Smiley

WTF with this captchas  today???   Angry

And a very good morning to you too Cheesy

bitcoinaliens has no control over the capTcha display...
Working for me just now, what are you seeing? A screenshot would help me to help you.

Thank`s mart2000, I was seeing captchas like what LoyceV (post 294) and dansus021 (post 296) had posted.
But it`s fine now.

YW, and yes, I've seen those "SolveMedia" ones on other faucets, usually if I've been having a long fauceting session. I think there is a link to report them as "unsolvable" somewhere on the overall box. Though I usually take it to mean it's time I got some shuteye and hit the hay LOL Cheesy

Glad the ReCapTcha ones are working for you! Happy Hunting!
