You guys really need to up your game.

You guys are so positive.  Smiley

It needs hell of a lot more of circle jerking than we have seen so far for this shit to go up. Bubble inside of a bubble inside of a bubble...

My bet, XMR -50% ($100-150) when we get closer to the fork, nethash 0.4-0.5G  Smiley
Maybe you think bitmain will crash xmr? They will be losing millions if they do that but its their choice and I think they will fail it.
I think the opposite, market will see as a good thing and xmr price will grow as all the other coins. Price will only dip if the hard fork fails to contain asics.

Nothing to do with Bitmain, just some basic market analysis.

With current emission no miner can kill XMR. And that's maybe the biggest problem XMR needs to deal with. Distribution.

Where I live liquidating GPU's is very easy, 24 hours max. Not as fast as pushing 'sell' button but still quite fast.
No. And you'll lose a fuckton of money doing that. I don't think you've spent any amount of time selling anything online, such as eBay.
Where I live people don't use shitty services like eBay, also living in an area where there are enough potential buyers helps.
I've sold some PC components including GPU's this weekend too. Only cash, only fast pick-up. All gone. No fees.
eBay is a shitty service? XD
Yes, otherwise I would have used it more than four times (4 buys/ 0 sells) since 2001.

I bet. Sounds like you're using craigslist. Some real power sellers on there.

Who's Graig? Big in US?  Smiley

Hmm well my anecdotal evidence from local listings in a major metropolitan area where there are many crypto miners says different.  Market seems frozen, no buyers, many sellers.  Im trying to sell a couple VEGA 56s because of summer (I always downsize a bit for summer) and they so far have had no bids on ebay and no takers on local listings.  I am selling them for what I paid for when they came out.  So about 550usd and no one wants them.  I see rigs for sale All Kinds and people are panicking.  Which is fine, let them panic.  I also sell risers locally and other adapters.  No buyers anymore.  Which, again, is fine with me.

No panicking here yet although more and more GPU's are getting listed. Selloff is about to begin...

VEGA56 + block gets bids around 500€ here, not an easy card to sell.

You should trade on the p2p exchanges. The 100 biggest coins are shredded (coinmarketcap.com) , but the unlisted/new coins are prospering

There's no trading on those p2p exchanges, only some boring buy/ sell stuff.

You should buy a cheap one in a finnish lake, and put up a tent with a sauna. Add alot of vitto and beer and live the happy crypto life.. Smiley

I know, problem is that they are not cheap. And if I find one they don't take crypto. Well some of them do but it takes ages to transactions to confirm...

What would you bring to a deserted island? Loads of crypto?  Cool

edit: BTW, where have all those Nvidia Russian masternode shitcoins gone? They promised there is always something to mine?
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 31, 2018, 09:29:02 PM
Look's like someone is buying expensive coins and sell them cheap. Eventually they will go out of budget right?

If one entity controls exchanges, 'usd' and books this is what we get. From 6,810 to 7,001 in two minutes. Healthy market.

I love islands, don't have one yet though  Cry
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 31, 2018, 08:23:30 PM
Because bitmain is more powerful than all the other actors combined in the bitcoin world.. That's why monero will hardfork every 6months or more. To retain the fair restribution of the hash.

Agree but what has it to do with the BTC price? Without Bitmain it would be trillion already? Or $200?

Dump as we speak?

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 31, 2018, 08:10:28 PM
I was mining with a profit when bitcoin was at $250 (Because of the us gov. Silk_road auction dump). Today btc is  at around @7000 and alot more traders and exchanges than before.

Yes, more traders and exchanges. Time to do some real price discovery.

When bitmain can't sell any more devices for mining the price will rise.

Hmm, why?

To be on topic (haha), NVDA is so going to moon, HODL!

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 31, 2018, 06:09:16 PM

You can't liquidate assets without a penalty and vice versa. Which is why I talked about the easy money back in the Fall when BTC was climbing a lot. It only goes one direction. Money is very liquidable, GPUs are not.

I'm sure BTC will go back up, just a question of when and how. Mining profit is still decreasing regardless of BTC value, which is what I was outlining. Completely putting aside the negative trend of BTC recently, mining inflation is very much outstripping BTC growth.

As I mentioned new miners that were basically dry humping retailers for their GPUs this winter/spring are idiots. This is literally the worst time to enter into crypto mining. The negative trend of markets in addition to highly inflated prices and other factors which you guys will figure out make this a really horrid time to start.

Where I live liquidating GPU's is very easy, 24 hours max. Not as fast as pushing 'sell' button but still quite fast.

One thing is sure, BTC will find a bottom, everything else is just speculation. If that is Titanic type of bottom remains to be seen.

Agree about new miners, 90% of miners currently don't know what downtrend is. There will always be something to mine and you can always sell to gamers, we'll see.

To be even remotely on topic, I sold one Nvidia GPU yesterday, sadly it didn't run sp_ miner when it was cashed out Cry

If someone can share Kobayashi governed MtGox bitcoin stash address, We would be able to make predictions till when will this depression last. Anyhow, lower price of BTC can not sustain in long term because of pre last generation ASIC farms switching off.

Kobayashi has nothing to do with this, healthy market would take 1% dump easily. Problem is this market it not healthy, in fact this is not market at all. Here we go again?...

To be on topic, how much does 1070 on RVN $wise?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 30, 2018, 12:01:59 PM
Bitcoin will probobly  go back up to $10 000 next month, and then the numbers change. Hopefully the monero change of pow will make it profitable to mine with the gpu again. (monero v7) The fork date is 8th of april.

Shouldn't you sell your mining gear then and buy BTC? Up 50% in one month only, really nice profit with zero power bill?  Wink

I still think this only gets worse, CN POW changes will help max 1-2 weeks. Happy to be wrong though...
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 27, 2018, 07:17:22 PM
You see, I did this before this "huge alt coins crash" happened, I already knew this would happen, at that time nobody believed me because profit was very high. Now they are getting together and starting to accept reality, profitability has never been worse, not even when litecoin crashed in 2014 was this bad, matter of fact it was never like this in crypto history and that is mainly to asics cause investors know they can buy coins cheaper from whoever is running asics cause they know asics profitability is 100x, so they want to pay 100 times lower to asics miners. Now if tomorrow eth goes to pos then price would jump 10 times instantly, supply and demand.

I had to sell/ shut down my tahiti/ hawaii rigs back in 2014/ 2015. They are very profitable today.

We are not there yet, there's more to come. Just wait.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 24, 2018, 01:07:51 AM
I think the hashrate will be cut to 25% of todays rate right after the fork. Should be profitable to mine with the sp-mod on NVIDIA as well.

My bet, XMR -50% ($100-150) when we get closer to the fork, nethash 0.4-0.5G  Smiley

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 23, 2018, 12:49:56 AM
didn't you sell all your cards? or are you still mining?

I still have some leftovers. Tahiti, hawaii, maxwell, pascal.

So moon, so Norwegian  Wink

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 16, 2018, 11:24:07 PM
if bitcoin is dropping down to $4000, ppl will mine at a loss with el cost @ $0.1.

Good old hawaii war elephant 250w, $0.1/kWh, power costs to run 'only' $0.5/ day. Still profitable.

We need to cut another 50%.

Sh0rtcoin is the best coin, hands down the best performer of the 2018 so far.

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC Miners DESTROY GPU Mining? NEW Monero XMR FPGA ASIC & Electroneum ETN Miner on: March 12, 2018, 09:13:48 AM
Baikal has been online for months already, that's the reason why CN GPU mining profitability tanked.

Hmm... So somebody is withdrawing it.
Ok... You said, that also hacked coins were on btc38/aex, but they have done nothing with it, but if someone would try to withdraw it, they can't yes?

Not sure if I remember right but I think pallas said he had asked btc38 to froze those coins but never got an answer.

I've seen "renovation" message (high-liquid asset, yeah so much they created some piece of s erc-20, to manipulate)...
They airdropped it, and didn't burnt them? Why? I guess, even tho they are worthless, they that they can really renovated, and traded, where they can dump them.

It would be better to bury down these 350M coins, but it's impossible now.

'5.After you get your BITE, the old coin will still be yours. You can mention as a memorial to personal purse (premise is in the wallet network is available, part of the official wallet has permanent damage), can also be transferred to other platforms to sell (if there are other trading platform).'

Tadaa, and just like that cryptocurrency total market capitalization got again higher! Zero money in but 'value' got higher, another reason why this market needs a big crash before we can move further.
