The chick on your website video is hot!

her names Alyson.

to Steve, just one of many.  Shocked

I'm drooling. She makes me want a merchant account and I don't even have a business. LOL
You started a thread to tell everyone about a woman you saw in an ad? 16? 17?
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will governments attack bitcoin? on: September 07, 2011, 04:29:25 PM
It seems obvious to me that they already have been. the government doesn't want a true anonymous currency to be in the hands of civilians. Its common sense!

JM
Which government? Which department? Name one agency with the resources, purview, and agility to actually act on bitcoin so quickly. Those in (massively under-resourced and technologically illiterate) financial enforcement departments are either ignorant of bitcoin or think it's a joke.

My personal financial struggle has nothing to do with the system I am trying to share. Please guys, stay on topic and keep those good questions coming. The guy who's trying to figure out the "intellectual property" this thread is for that, just ask me questions dude and I'll help you out the best way I can.

Maria.

PS. I am a Liar, Scammer, Comedian, Con-artist, Bruce or anything else you want to call me. Yet, I am the only one sharing a GOLD  SECRET giving out FREE BTC just for asking questions. Evaluate yourself.
You didn't answer any of my questions. Sad

Nice one fucker.

Well this is off to a good start

What about online gambling due to the fact that states around the world are banning it?

Bitcoin doesn't solve the problem of online gambling bans if you are going Cash->BTC->Casino->BTC->Cash, it gives the Feds an opening to nail you on laundering charges.

How would they know it was used for gambling?
Because bitcoin is inherently traceable. If you know an entry point (exchange), you can trace a coin through the system to an exit point (casino). The exchange can then be subpoenaed to identify you.

not with Tor.
Only if one or both of the businesses involved use tor.
45  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Liberals HATE Bitcoin [NY Times Link] on: September 07, 2011, 11:23:48 AM
It's just flat-out wrong though. BTC "soared"...then collapsed and hasn't risen again. It's also undergoing massive inflation, not deflation.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: EVERYONE CALM DOWN on: September 06, 2011, 09:45:59 PM
I like that chart. It shows how the market is going to fluctuate on it's median. Sometimes up, sometimes low, but it shouldn't go anywhere outside of the bar. Prices have stabilized, and have not changed since I wrote this

is this a joke

what in gods name makes you believe that 100% arbitrary assertion

This actually

But what do the green lines represent? Sorry, I'm a bit clueless at finance.

The Green Lines are representing the Highs and lows of the BTC value. It HAS NOT gone outside of those lines, and the lines remain a shallow angle.
Ah, okay. I think I understand.

And the jagged orange line?

That's the difficulty, which will most likely drop again. (going on 3 in a row)
Ah, gotcha.

And the lavender one?

That is the actual price per BTC at MtGox, not to be confused with the high and low
Sorry, I'm confused again: can you explain the orange line?

49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seriously, though, how would a libertarian society address global warming? on: September 06, 2011, 09:41:50 PM
There's a huge incentive to distort the science when universal acceptance of global warming means a coercive government will place onerous restrictions on people. There is no incentive to distort the science when universal acceptance of global warming does not mean widespread economy-killing coercion.

So, on the "head in the sand" front, a Libertarian society would have huge advantages over ones like ours.
The problem with this is that a more libertarian society would have the denial crowd spreading bigger lies: there's nothing to prevent a polluting industry from paying people for fabrications. There is an incentive to lie because even in an environment without class action lawsuits, industries would still need to maintain a public image.

Besides, simple facts of human nature like negative externalities and the tragedy of the commons mean that while this evil "coercion" would not exist, nor would any other force to prevent global catastrophe.

Niche markets with a use for bitcoin: drugs, gambling, child pornography, ATI stock ownership. Only the most boring of these will not see you thrown in a prison if caught.

58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has Bruce talked at all about the accusations of fraud against him? on: September 06, 2011, 08:28:19 PM
So just to be clear here: No, Bruce has never talked about the accusations of fraud against him?

He has, he explained that his business did collapse and some people lost money but this was not a result of fraud, he did his best but was unable to help them like he intended.  Businesses collapse all the time, that doesn't mean they are scams.
All this careposting and not one word about collectible plastic ponies?
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: EVERYONE CALM DOWN on: September 06, 2011, 07:40:44 PM
The real question at this point is what the endgame looks like.   At a steady drop of $4 per month, we're less than two months from zero. Will we have a hard landing or a soft one?
Useless fearmongering

This chart provides a more reasonable estimate

That reassures me a great deal, thanks. Can you tell me what the green lines represent?
60  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So who's buying bargain Bitcoins this morning? on: September 06, 2011, 07:32:56 PM
It seems like we're entering a great period for buying. I am seriously thinking about making a large investment in the next week or so if it continues to drop a bit more. I'd love to get in at $3-4, don't want to put it off and miss out though. Might buy a bit today. Good idea?
Great idea. Now is a fantastic time to buy! You won't regret it unless you really need that money and it gets stolen from Magic the Gathering Online Exchange, one of the other incompetent exchanges, or from someone hacking your wallet file, or the bottom falls out of the market and you're left holding the bag. But that stuff is almost impossible.
