41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: July 07, 2024, 04:06:53 AM
Manchester City is currently still very ready and could easily beat Real Madrid again.
Haaland is still Pep Guardiola's mainstay and as long as these two important roles are still with Man City, they will remain the strongest club after Real Madrid.
Haaland can't do much when facing Madrid, therefore Guardiola needs new players on the front lines who can accompany Haaland to be more productive in scoring goals easily. Haaland can only shine when facing an underdog team, whereas if he meets a strong team In fact, he can't penetrate the defense well and even has difficulty scoring goals. I don't think Guardiola can continue to rely on Haaland because there are still many great players who can be recruited into Manchester City's main squad to fill the front line so they can be more productive when facing strong and difficult teams. . I'm still not sure Manchester City will win the UCL next season if they don't make changes to their current main squad.  Grin

It's not even the issue of him.not playing well against Real Madrid, I believe its the fact that Harland is just so direct and when he is been tightly marked off then the ability to score goal will be reduced. Any team that successful man mark Harland he finds hard to score against them, he is not like the likes of aguero and squarez that are very good with their feet and also flexible too.

Haaland has a very strong physics, and this makes him less flexible like suarez or aguero. The problem is that the team now knows how to stop him. They sent two CBs to guard him. This is also very effective in stopping him because Haaland is not flexible.

I consider Haaland is fast enough. But, flexibility is key to dodging opponents. That's why haaland is playing as a pure striker only.

That's why it's hard to find someone like CR7 at his prime. He is very flexible, strong, and fast.

42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 07, 2024, 01:59:07 AM
BTW, Pedri will certainly not be able to continue his EURO journey with Spain, it could be that if Pedri's injury is serious, he will also not play with Barcelona in the early weeks of La Liga.

It is so unfortunate for Pedri. However he is an injury-prone player like I said on another thread so I'm really used to seeing him like this often.

As you can see, the situation is really serious about him.  Sad  He is believed to be a great player in the future. But in this way his future can also be in pain. This look of him reminds me of Neymar. He has also been a great talent but getting injured very often at the same time. Barcelona has big plans for Pedri so I hope these injuries wouldn't hinder his potential much. Otherwise Barcelona might even think of selling him if things get more serious.

I strongly the best decision by barcelona is to sell him, though pedri was one of very important players in barcelona. You said Neymar has suffered the same thing as Pedri. But, there is a worse case in Barcelona: Ansu Fati's. Ansu fati's career being ruined by his injury.
Pedri's injury proneness will hurt his stability next season. I don't see a reason for Barcelona to keep him much longer, and this is not my first time to see barcelona's player  gets ruined by his injury prone.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 07, 2024, 01:48:09 AM
Türkiye lost a game they could have won, because of Montella. In the second half of the match, when the Netherlands increased the pressure, he made no substitutions and just watched the game. He made his first substitutions after the score was 2-1 and it was too late. Montella is responsible for this defeat. He is not a technical director. He had nothing to do with the team getting this far. This team would have been more successful without him.

Yes, it's a shame that Türkiye couldn't control the match after winning in the first half then several mistakes occurred in the second half and conceded 2 goals of course it's very sad but I'm not sure we blame anyone maybe it was an unlucky day who could come at any time. Basically Türkiye has played well in attacks and shoots and they almost won it It's just that luck was on Netherland side by getting an own goal.
Turkiye was hell-bent on winning. They wanted to get a result, but OG was disappointed them. Only a few teams play with such heart and relentless desire like Turkiye in euro 2024. I've been impressed with Turkey in reach quarter final, though they failed in beating dutch. They deserved better, and probably deserved a late break to send it to extra time. This was because of their effort until the last minutes; However, they were not lucky. The Dutch have a lot of work to do as preparation before another serious game. Only a few players from dutch were running to set up, and break through to tie the match. I feel like dutch team lacks a bit of passion, but weghorst was exceptional.

Hats off to turkiye's effort in this game!
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 07, 2024, 12:00:00 AM
Are you that serious? Saliba replacing Dani carvajal? How does that sound? Bro it sounds really crazy,  why would real madrid made a very stupid decision by using a central back to replace a right back, if you are talking about saliba replacing nacho, it would have sounds more logical, not Dani carvajal.
Saliba has a strong place in the Arsenal team, if he moves to Real Madrid, he will have to fight for a first team place. Arsenal have to try offering a better contract to Saliba so he decides to stay. Many players have moved to Real Madrid after seasons where they did well in their clubs, and they did not have first team position.

If Saliba plans to leave, he should not leave this season. Arsenal needs him.
All these rumors need to stop, Arsenal have confirmed that Saliba is going no where this transfer summer.
Madrid want him and they wanted to try their luck if they can get him since Arsenal is making effort to bring Calafiori, so they will want to use their influence to bring him to strengthen their defense which if they succeed will be the best decision they would have made because Saliba is a very good and strong defender with experience and composure despite his age.
But Arsenal management will never let him go anytime soon. In fact I will be expecting Arsenal management to give him more contract conditions which will include huge amount of money for his release clause because they cannot afford to lose him.

Very glad to see that arsenal decided to keep him. Saliba is gonna be a great back in the future, and it think, the decision to let him go to the real madrid is the worst. Arsenal can keep him, and saliba is still very young at this moment. He can also play for arsenal for more seasons, and he has not yet entered his golden age as a football player.
The only problem if saliba is gonna be requesting the club to join in real madrid. It may force Arsenal to let him go. Handing him a new contract with a big offer is professional by Arsenal. And again, it's hard to find a valuable young back these days. Though many backs are available, but it's hard to find one who can play at Saliba's level at his age. Saliba has also the reason why arsenal conceded less goals than manchester city last season. And last, Arsenal needs to hand him a new contract with lucrative offer as soon as possible, then also change increase his release clause.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Interesting About Memecoins You've Invested In? on: July 06, 2024, 04:13:17 AM
I don't think too much about the story behind the word memecoin, but some of it is based on the fact that it is a meme that has a tradition in cyberspace and when tied to blockchain it is considered the most prominent meme that it pursues.

Some examples are TROLL, WOJAK, BOB,...

But still want to express that with memecoin it is too exaggerated when many things are produced so easily so sometimes we witness rugbull incidents, so we should also frankly look at the risks we have available. ready to face.
There are dexscreener's moonshot which minimize malicious code that could cause rugpull since from their platform mentioned that the coin that went through their platform has no insider and also renounced ownership but this platform is also kinda detrimental as well because it caused money in solana meme coin to be spread too thin most of the meme coin just died after few days with lacking volume and people outright dumping it which honestly I still call it soft rugpull because undeniably the people with big capital has the upperhand to rekt people with lesser capital.

but yeah overall most of meme coins are exaggerated, some are being shilled by KOLs just to experience temporary pump and then full dump moving forwards.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sounds of bulls screaming on: July 05, 2024, 07:24:24 AM
Certainly a good time for DCA if i'm being honest, though I will wait until it dips a little more but I bet the people that looking for an entry price back then when bitcoin was still $60k are nowhere to be seen.
truth is, the market movement always caught people off guard, at the time of the market looking very bullish it could just go down so sharp and same thing could happen with opposite scenario.

overall market isn't looking good and there are so many people bearish but I think really after the mtgox and ftx are done with their dumps in the future, maybe that is truly the time where an entry will be bountiful harvests.
but i'm not having the same vision with the alts though  Grin. as far as I know, so many big venture capitals that bought those alts especially layer2 at really low price is ready to dump.
so only stick with BTC and ETH at most.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 05, 2024, 07:08:47 AM
@retreat. I very much agree hehe. It would be very headshaking if someone would keep announcing that $75k and higher would happen for this month. These types of very bullish people in social media might only be using their followers as exit liquidity or they are not living in reality.

Price is $55,300 already heheheheh.

On MtGox, 47,229 bitcoin has moved from cold storage. This will certainly add to the present fear being felt by everyone in the cryptospace hehehehe.

Really grim days so far, I don't even know whether to make reentry again after cutting some loss at this point I just gonna wait until the waves passes first.

seriously though, those Mt.Gox, Ftx really does put some pressure in the market sentiment, honestly if they can just dump it, just dump it man, make it faster, this prolonging and seeing this news appear constantly in media outlet kinda making me stressing  Grin.

pretty sure this german's dumping also getting amplified by the fear surrounding mtgox and ftx news of dumping as well, so the market choose to take out their buy order.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you look out for first when choosing alts. Utility or hype? on: July 05, 2024, 07:00:50 AM
I look for utility, benefits it proportionates to adopters, holders and investors. It usually comes as benefits inside an already existing platform or service. So you acquire the altcoin to guarantee extra advantages inside a service platform. If the offer is interesting and rewarding, I decide to invest on the altcoin. It's not easy, though, because most offers don't worth. Some look really good at the beginning, but on the practice it's completely different than you firstly expected.

Altcoins are always a risky deal, so if you want to avoid all the troubles, frustration and regrets of adopting them, I would advise you to just invest in Bitcoin currency that you won't have any headaches later. It's exactly what it promises to be, without any hidden nasty surprises in the end.
sometime what makes thing difficult in choosing alts with utility is that some of the utilities are truly garbage not even worth mentioning.
like most of the L2 coins right now which if you see in the chart it's quite dying, why? because their governance token worth to none, just overly inflated token valuation by the VCs without real utility at all.
these governance token only being used for proposal and that's it and mind you most proposel get voted by the project team because they usually own large sums, though there are some case where community wins indeed but I just see that kind of utility as gimmick at best.

I mean i know market is bad right now but these L2 literally already dumping from before BTC crash and now just got even worse.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today more BTC were sold than MtGox will pay out in July ... on: July 04, 2024, 03:44:59 AM
I mean to be fair if the panic due to Mt.Gox already triggered such massive sell off, the event in which MtGox paid BTC is finally ready to sell gonna create bigger impact, the main factor that moves the market right now is always FUD and shill.

The big players know that they can move the market without capital just by fudding BTC with these news, the Mt.Gox sell off will have massive effect and create panic in the market undeniably despite the fact that market itself is kinda resilient to such sell off as shown from the current amount of sold BTC, The market definitely has the money to contain all those dumps but it's always the FUD that magnify the effect and some people just trying to find opportunity buying BTC at lower price after mt.gox sell off by selling it now kinda make it worse.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Market Might Crash 30–40% If Bitcoin Price Drops Below $60K This Week on: July 04, 2024, 03:35:23 AM
It is said when BTC drops below $60k (not touched $60k) because the tone indicates an increase. As of now BTC is still valued at $61k. There are no drops that happened yet I think but only a recovery because I think we are down last time. What can we expect in altcoins? Of course they can also follow it because this is already their mannerism.

A 30 to 40 percent drop in the price of BTC is already heavy, so don't wonder on why altcoins are bloody right after it but even if not, it can still happen because altcoins are more fragile than in BTC. Altcoins can still pump a lot when BTC pumps up, so I guess that is still a good compensation?
whenever bitcoin drops people become hesitant, so they choose to reposition to. BTC and ETH, most of the coins right now dumping after not long ago bitcoin went below $60k
slight cough of BTC like below

already caused most of altcoins that pumped earlier to be down about 15% even meme coin aren't spared.
I expect if bitcoin down below $54k, altcoin will probably lost 50% of its value, crazy how market mood shifted so fast.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is $Billy a Potential $WIF in the Making? on: July 04, 2024, 03:20:01 AM
Having observed various of meme coins so far that make it big, i've seen pattern where meme coins that got shilled hard by big influencers always somehow rise, despite it's most likely that these influencers just simply shilling their bag, but right now the market cap of $Billy is already above $100 million, even if it reaches half billion it's only 5x, and yes i think 5x is lackluster of a gain considering meme coin and its risk.

but honestly after $BRETT massive pump, i don't expect money to flow in to another meme coin in the meantime, other meme coin can always have the chance get pumped as high as $WIF but always know that there's no guarantee at all. Personally, since BTC just recently got dumped, the new meme coins exposed to situation where it's most vulnerable to sudden dump, but of course there's chance that the price might not follow bitcoin trend at all for some of meme coins.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you think memecoins will go in future? on: July 03, 2024, 05:20:47 AM
never really fan of celeb token, most of the time celebrity shilling for a bag has ulterior motive, you can only beat them in their own game if you happen to snipe for ther coin and got it at really cheap price, other wise you will become their exit liiquidity, so in short its just game of the early birds.

this is example of one celebs coin $MOTHER

price tanked since hitting all time high, i doubt it will ever go up again, I bet there are many people that become exit liquidity same thing with $DADDY and other celeb tokens too.

I think the economic is more sustaining with the meme themed coin such as $WIF $BRETT and something like that, where they are hitting billions while these celebs token already being dumped so hard after hititng tens of million of dollars as FDV.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you look out for first when choosing alts. Utility or hype? on: July 03, 2024, 05:08:19 AM
hype and tokenomics mostly, as much as I like to talk about utility but the market just doesn't really incentivizes project with good utility instead all the money goes to the hypes, can you see all those L2 with hundred millions market cap? most of them only give some random governance token with next to nothing utility except for voting governance but they still scored good market cap anyway.

I've seen plenty of coins offering utilities only to fail, the truth is, the market just doesn't seem to care about utility at all, the hypes matters most in this case, otherwise the meme coins aren't gonna get valued at billions.
but despite hype,  always look at tokenomic and the vestiing unlocks, these are the thing that hold me from investing in a hyped project f thngs doesn't look good with the tokenomic, imagne VC bagging millons of dollars ready to dump at you next week just because that's the time they got their allocation unlocked.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How can you be profitable with airdrops? on: July 03, 2024, 04:57:25 AM
Most of the airdrops aren't necessarily just giving 5 tokens free for people, things has changed, the airdrop right now calculate your allocation based on your contribution most of the time and then the project itself will try to allocate certain percent of the total supply so imagine if a project has an FDV of $1 billion, if they allocate 10% for airdrop then they are allocating $100 million worth of token to the contributor or in this case airdrop hunters.

explaining from the case of layerzero airdrop that just happened recently here's the graph of allocation

the first wave of retroactive airdrops according to their article : https://info.layerzero.foundation/introducing-zro-d39df554a9b7

Quote
Retroactive Initiatives: 8.5% of ZRO supply can be claimed by eligible participants on June 20. (More on eligibility later.)

so basically 8.5% will be distributed accordingly to the individual's allocation calculated from their contribution which usually using the guide of eligibility criteria. this example can be used to roughly understand the general landscape of most airdrops these days.
so it's not some project randomly giving 5 token anymore for free, it's more of incentivizing contribution to the ecosystem and protocol by also requiring you to use capital.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After the Ethereum ETF(s), which altcoin will be next? on: July 02, 2024, 03:57:27 AM
I am not sure if SOL would work though, feels like it is not going to end up working all that much. Don't get me wrong, it may not be all that crazy to speak but at the same time we are talking about something that will get some time to adjust. SOL is a bit more centralized, and there is a team that can freeze it anytime they want, which they have done before.

I do not know if there should be ETF of something that is heavily centralized like that. Sure they do not revert or anything or steal, but they still have some control over it and I dislike that idea in an ETF. I do not mind it when it is crypto, I can buy SOL directly to invest, but when we are talking about getting an ETF of it, I feel like that is not a good idea.
Arguably the growth and innovations in solana does justify the ETF and compensate for its weak point like the one probably you mentioned, there has been many cases where solana is having power outage, but i suppose there's ongoing solution already being tested.

what entice me is the recent implementation of Solana's blinks (https://solana.com/docs/advanced/actions) which allows user to trade solana token from their social media, though it can be double edged sword, but they are rather adamant in pumping out innovations it seems, so some big companies sees the positive thing in that is to be expected. also, the fact that solana is the coin that gained massively in the early bullrun means it is a good enough coin to attract investor, this probably the key reasoning why these companies willing to file ETF for solana. I mean if compared to other altcoin, it does make sense doesn't it? the only coin that's above solana in term market cap that got no ETF yet is BNB yet this coin always being called out as centralized and owned by binance, so there's no possibility of ETF for this coin and the next best option is SOL.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reflecting on Crypto Gains and Losses: A Personal Journey on: July 02, 2024, 03:29:13 AM
It's good that you keep track of your trading. Finding out that your losses outweigh the gain is actually the starting point to turn things around.

I personally also keep track of my trading and actually find out that the biggest gain i've made actually around the transition of the market trend from bearish to bullish where all the coins actually made more than 100% gain and it does make up huge percentage of my profit.
at this current trend of price swing however, its just bunch of gain and setbacks, I think it's kinda normal to be affected heavily by the current market sentiment where even the veteran trader doesn't have idea whether we're gonna be heading to $100k or we gonna dump all the way to bearish market all over again.
the news about mt.gox crediting billions of dollar worth bitcoin is such a concern for many traders that the market lately has been quite swayed. It also making me think that whether i should just settle with current profit or not. however in my opinion, the thing that could heavily helps me in staying profitable is being conscious of the current narrative, just following where the trend going.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase and Stripe Partner for Global USDC Adoption on: July 02, 2024, 03:12:59 AM
Just about damn time, the untapped potential of payment processing using stablecoin is too good to pass on, just see this market cap and trading volume of stablecoin

this probably gonna motivate other stablecoin or another payment gateway company to do the same thing, this time USDC, next probably DAI and so on, USDT is kinda obvious in taking this direction as well, probably if there's no legal complication with this coinbase and stripe partnership they will proceed to do the same exact thing.

kinda tired seeing ourselves being forced to convert our stablecoin or crypto to fiat first to make transaction in big e-commerce site, it's time for direct crypto payment to thrive.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do feel for an own-goal letting to your bet loss? on: July 01, 2024, 05:41:09 PM
You did agree to gamble by choosing your preferred team, but if you were losing because of a minor error by one of the players on your preferred team, you would not be ready yet to gamble and lastly, consider something you could afford to lose. Moreover, releasing your wrath will only waste your vitality.
In gambling, lose or win is a regular occurrence; just consider it as your unfortunate fate in that game. Usually, losing by a small error at your preferred club is something natural.

It simply said, you will be lucky enough in the next game, even if you are unfortunate enough in the current one.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: July 01, 2024, 05:03:49 PM
We always criticize the negative aspects of gambling but there are also some positive aspects that we must accept. If one does not look for these aspects with his positive vision, then he may not be able to find those good aspects. I can easily relate to some of the things you mentioned.

Truly we cannot completely forgotten about the good side of gambling because alot of people have accomplished alot through gambling, though I wouldn't blame those that always focused on the bitter side of it because one thing in life is that you will always talk or judge things based on the experience you have gotten from it, so perhaps that's why we shouldn't blame someone that always sees negativity on gambling because he or she has gone through in the hands of gambling, however it is very obvious that is not everybody that would be favoured by gambling which is why gambling is like a financial breakthrough for most people while for some persons are lost of money.

       -   The majority of people can't really see the good side of gambling because the negative impact of gambling on a gambler is what people often see in this matter. But it's true that, literally, in terms of employment, they have really provided help, but it's only a few compared to the number of people who are still unemployed.
The majority of people in our community call gambling a sin, and that's still related to religion. An open-minded guy will not only see it from one perspective. Everything has good and bad sides. People can use gambling as a way to refresh their minds, but I can't deny that there are also others who use gambling as a way to get rich instantly.
There's nothing wrong with it caused by anyone's own perception of gambling.

That's why it's better if it's just for me; just keep it to yourself that you're the only one who knows that you're gambling; don't tell others because most people think differently.
It is better to understand your environment properly because your environment can ostracize you if gambling is something taboo in their minds.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 01, 2024, 04:53:18 PM

Hansi Flick has plans to bring in several players to support his playing scheme next season. Currently Barcelona has released Alonso, Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo as well as several other players, which means Flick needs several additional players to keep the team balanced. Flick needs a right back and a left back, but it is not limited to the possibility that Flick also needs a midfielder. Moreover, it is impossible to expect Barcelona to leave Flick without support, I mean Barcelona will definitely grant some of Flick's wishes regarding the players needed.

Hansi Flick has really made a change this season. I think Flick will make several player purchases to strengthen Barcelona next season. To be honest, I don't know what changes Flick has made, but some news says Flick is looking for a wing-back who can play offensively. I want to see Barcelona's development with its new coach. But it looks like Barcelona won't be able to give all the players Flick wants. I think financial problems will prevent Barcelona from performing optimally next season.

Barcelona will not undergo any significant changes; Laporta is still looking at the best approach for Barcelona to raise extra money. As of yet, Hansi Flick does not have a specific list of candidates he will be contacting, but I hear them trying to approach Nico William. Barcelona has to fix its financial issues before the team can provide flick money to attract fresh players.
Barcelona is lately stating they are losing three players (Marcos Alonso, Felix, and Cancelo), and the most recent information points to Nico Williams as the main target for acquisition from Bilbao.

Barcelona is currently concentrating on how to improve their offensive line.
