Is this protection applied with only their web wallet or does all wallet software have to challenge the device first?

I noticed http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/GBTC/quote went from OTXPink to OTXQX this time and isn't hiding the bids with latest $31.50.

Hi Guys,

Is there a tool where I can flip a coin 256 times (or role a dice for example), then enter results + extra passphrase in and get 24 word + passphrase  seed out?

https://bip32jp.github.io/english/

I don't know how safe they are to use though and I would only do this on an offline computer with a live cd.

I can't remember the warnings that were on the page before but it looks like it was updated a bit today and shows BIT by Greyscale and OTC Pink. I wonder when it will go live.

Question: How many different passphrases does Trezor support?

over 9000

no, wait

all of them!

How hard are the passphrases to crack compared to bip38? I know there is some type of key lengthening....

I'm mostly curious how hard short passwords are to crack if you have the seed.

Hi

I want to buy Trezor. Becouse itīs awesome.
It only stores BTC? (is here any HW wallet for altcoin?)

Currently supported cointypes by Trezor:
Bitcoin, Namecoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Darkcoin and Testcoin.

Looks like a non-cointype too!? Some type of "HD identities"?

Good news! So I asked the mycelium team to implement trezor support for androids via an OTG cable and now they are working on it. There is already a version in bug testing with a full version to be released soon Cheesy (I got extra info from a PM)

I would also like to request that Mycelium add support for the Trezor hardware wallets with the use of an On-the-Go cable. I believe the Trezor team has already put some code on GitHub as an example of how to incorporate it into multiple wallets. Thanks for your consideration.

Sure, no problem.
Watch out for a beta release soon Smiley

I'm assuming it supports PIN and passwords? How about multiple accounts?

Are there any plans to support wiping the Trezor, initializing, restoring? That would allow me to finally get rid of my computer!

Yeah - it's a tricky one.

Typing your seed phrase ONCE into a machine that has a keylogger gives your adversary the chance to empty your wallet at any time they like in the future.

You _think_ you've a nice secure Trezor wallet but unfortunately 2 years ago someone keylogged your seed phrase.
When you transfer into your Trezor the winnings of the Xmas 2017 Bitcoin Global Lottery (Congratulations on winning that!) you see all your bitcoins instantly evaporate.

If the seed phrase is only ever shown on the Trezor secure display it's a much tougher nut to crack.

Thanks. I see mytrezor.com never knows the seed order but the Trezor prompts for random order so spyware still has to sort the words and 24 would be hard to sort. I like the idea of a chart of all seed words and associated number and the person enters the seed by using the PIN pad and spyware would not know any of the words.

Thank you. My main concern was losing a Trezor and by using a 'soft' wallet my bitcoins would be at risk until I transfer them to the new wallet. I was hoping that seed restoration would enable me to not depend on mytrezor.com at all.

For a lost Trezor what would be the steps to restore the seed for MultiBit if you used a seed that is different length than mytrezor.com allows? I tried going to restore wallet but it wants to use the seed that is already on the new Trezor or only create a new one.

I noticed too that if the Trezor has a password there doesn't seem to be a way that allows a creation of a new wallet as it just gets stuck everywhere with the Trezor saying to input password.

Does myTrezor.com  identify the specific unit that connects to it thus deanonymizing the owner that it was shipped to?

Also, I've not heard of any hacking incidents to date of the Trezor. Anyone else?

No, there is nothing in the device neither the code that we could use to link a specific person with a device.

Is the public key protected by PIN or confirmation preventing rogue websites from stealing it? Having your public key leaked would link all your transactions for the life of the seed.
