Thanks. I'll update once they get it fixed.
Have you got any news, please?
I transfered some bits too to poloniex and don't see them neither.

Nope. Nothing. Have you opened a ticket also? More the merrier.

It would be nice if dev opened one also to show some care.
Yes I have.

Poloniex support responded. They will look into it now.

GJ, nice to see people in the community taking the initiative to help resolve things.

I agree. I staked from the release of the first wallet till the release of the second one. I upgraded a few days after the release (1 week or 2). That's why I don't understand why all the coins I earnt before the release of the 2nd wallet are gone.
I will pm you a batl address within a few minutes.
Thanks for your kind proposal.

It would suggest that you were on your own fork from pretty much the beginning of your staking then. The blockchain you were writing locally was not being accepted by the BATL mainnet and when you upgraded to the PoS-only wallet it would have simply carried on from the dataset you had already stored locally. That is why none of your staking rewards remained after you re-downloaded the correct blockchain, because they were never on the live blockchain.

Now I understand. What kind of event could have made me fork from pretty much the beginning?
Thank you very much for your paiement. I continue staking 24/24 :-)

BUT all that I've staked with the old wallet since the distribution has gone :-(
Is it *really* worth staking this coin if one loose all the fees when he upgrades his binary???

Ordinarily that would not happen. A non-forking wallet update simply continues to use the same blockchain data as that created by the previous wallet version. Unfortunately, even though you were staking, you were essentially sat on your own version of the blockchain for some reason. The blocks you were creating through your staking only existed on the blockchain that was stored on your desktop computer. When you fixed the problem you ended up correctly replacing your blockchain data with the actual live BATL blockchain, which would not have had the staked blocks you had been creating on your isolated blockchain.

The block reward is earned in return for supporting the network through active staking so, seeing as you clearly were wanting to do so but ended up on a forked chain, please pm me a BATL address along with an estimate of how many coins you had earned and I will arrange for you to be reimbursed for those 'lost' staking rewards. Hopefully you will be able to continue staking successfully from this point forward.

I quess you wallet is in fork so you need to remove existing blockchain files from %appdata%\batl but dont remove config or wallet.dat. You have to sync network from beginning. Take backup from wallet.dat.
OK, I try that.
OK. Redownloaded the whole blockchain and now, my last block is the same than the one on the blockexplorer, and now, my tx are visible too.

Hi
When I try to display the details of a transaction, it doesn't work:
http://batlexplorer.bitstarcoin.com/batl/search?q=d883462076d3b66a6f8573e5acce2c529a56d452535716a74cafb79ab275f8e5

Moreover, I'm staking 24/24 and I have this information:
$ battlestarcoind getblockcount
85994
whereas on the batl explorer homepage, it's written "up to block 181927".
An explaination?

And my balance is bigger than the one dispayed on the richlist...

Maybe you are still running the older wallet which is on a different fork? What version are you running?

I was, but since yesterday, I upgraded to "walletversion" : 60000 and transactions still are not found, and last block isn't the same than on the block explorer homepage.

Check wallet by typing "checkwallet" onto Batl rpc console without quotes. If it finds errors then after that type "repairwallet". It should fix things.
I only use the daemon version:
Code:
$ battlestarcoind checkwallet
{
    "wallet check passed" : true
}

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / No more peers on: May 12, 2016, 07:01:39 PM
Now, no more peers on batld network... I restarted batld after having deleted peers.dat, batld showed 3 cnx, then 2, and then none.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Is BATL a scam? on: May 08, 2016, 11:13:03 AM
Very few news, each time telling "soon", still no POS wallet, explorer out of order since april'23... Is it really a business or a scam?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar] Submission stage for burn/buy now closed on: April 23, 2016, 06:22:02 PM
Any rough ETA on the following? (or at least timeframe on what you hope to try and achieve by with no guarantee Wink)

1. BATL announcement thread.
2. New BITS wallet with new PoS.
3. BITS block number when buy-in BITS will be burnt.
No answer for this?

SuperNET Lite 3.0
Thanks for the news!
Where to report bugs?
I can log in, but the advanced view only shows a grey column on the left, nothing more...
A question: why keep a dead coin like opal???
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar] Submission stage for burn/buy now closed on: April 11, 2016, 06:55:28 PM
Block splitting is standard on POS coins, its how enough blocks are available for staking to keep the network secure
I understood it was only POW for now, with this very wallet???
If it is POS, I understand better why I stake "so much"... I was wondering how I could mine "so much" with so few transactions (I think ppl having baught during the burning period don't sell yet...)
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar] Submission stage for burn/buy now closed on: April 02, 2016, 11:02:42 AM
How that is done? Edit: Do I need to run batld on linux? Or just normal batl-qt? On normal client i don't find setgenerate command on debug window.
I run batld and don't use "setgenerate" like with bitstard, but I use "batld walletpassphrase mypasssword 9999999 true" only.
Don't know how to do it with the QT wallet, sorry.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar] Submission stage for burn/buy now closed on: April 02, 2016, 07:33:07 AM
Why is batl blockexplorer is showing proof of work for latest blocks and POS blocks are delaying? Is someone mining this coin? And it should take less than 10 hours to have 500 confirmations at 64 second block time for minted blocks, right?
What I've understood is that now, with the first wallet, POS is not enabled.
I think that everyone can mine blocks for now (I've mined 3 blocks with my raspberry pi :-)).
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar]Burn/buy process for experimental coin started ends GMT12:00 on: March 27, 2016, 11:32:04 AM
Well done with that, good work-around.

Unfortunatly, connections are gone after a while, and batl-qt stopped again accepting new blocks :-(

Have you completed your submission?

Yes, I did it before the work-around ;-)

Do you consider 25% as a success?
I do :-) Happy to be in!
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar]Burn/buy process for experimental coin started ends GMT12:00 on: March 27, 2016, 09:36:39 AM
Well seeing as it is a new chain it syncs pretty much instantly so as you requested the source code in order to compile it in Linux it would suggest something is amiss there. I've asked the devs to check.
I succeeded to sync this way:
  • compiled batld on raspberry pi
  • launched batld
  • wait a few minutes (saw block 1017: was better than block 4 ;-))
  • deleted everything on my other computer except .conf and wallet.dat
  • copied everything except .conf and wallet from rasp to computer
  • the QT version works fine now :-)
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar]Burn/buy process for experimental coin started ends GMT12:00 on: March 26, 2016, 02:48:08 PM
I have 3 active connections with the new wallet, but can't sync anything: the fifth block seems to be "banned":
Code:
SetBestChain: new best=0abba6591cc57f2a8e9c13e43efbeb42f20297bd28f4ca6022e13da8ce7244c4  height=4  trust=5242885  blocktrust=1048577  date=03/25/16 20:06:30
ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED
ERROR: AcceptBlock() : incorrect proof-of-work
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED
I deleted all inside ~/.batl/ and restarted but it fails at the same block again and again...

Are you trying to mine in the wallet?
Not yet, since I don't have any BATL and it is not sync'ed!
