45  Economy / Reputation / Re: The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Stake Your PGP Key Here on: December 23, 2015, 03:35:58 PM
Just a suggestion, adding both Panthers52's and Quickseller's PGP keys might be unnecessary seeing that they're the same person.
46  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Bitcoin loan of 5+ bitcoins for medical expenses on: December 22, 2015, 08:32:25 PM
How do you plan to repaying the loan if you can't get the money in the first place?
47  Economy / Lending / Re: The Ledger, listing open and defaulted loans. [Updated at least once every 24h] on: December 22, 2015, 02:59:15 PM
Updated again. Just realized that the table was messed up Smiley

A warning to buyers: the gift may have been bought with a credit card that can chargeback the gift, resulting in your account becoming suspended.
52  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a loan 0.4 BTCs! on: December 21, 2015, 04:20:08 PM
I have secured the account but i would like to know how are you going to contact me back ? looks like you are surely going to default it ?
I hope you don't.

https://blockchain.info/tx/bed4303920eaf3ad26f59932c6134d2a28bcd6820670cc9bb33dcb2e1d885efe

Usually through a new account that they'll create. Just because you forgot that doesn't mean he'll "surely default it".
53  Economy / Services / [WTK] Buy/Sell marketplace script on: December 21, 2015, 03:06:40 AM
Hi everyone!

I'd like to get a price quote on what a buy/sell script (similar to PayIvy, slut.io, etc.) where a seller can create products, link his buyers to the product listing, and get paid through whatever currency he selected.

The idea is still in development and I just want to get a price quote from someone who'd be willing to work with me - it might fall through. Feel free to send a PM over my way for some shaky details.

Thank you, and regards!
54  Economy / Auctions / Re: Potential Member Account 1 DAY on: December 21, 2015, 12:09:46 AM
Was this bid just ignored?

0.01 BTC

Providing there is no negative trust.
The name is soutable and has a reasonable meaning.
And you send first!
55  Other / Meta / Re: Petition to keep newbies outta the lending section on: December 20, 2015, 08:06:38 PM
No.

Once in a while a newbie appears with valid collateral and wants to get a valid loan.

57  Economy / Lending / Re: IN need of a 6.5 BTC loan for a great project! on: December 19, 2015, 07:11:20 PM
FYI, no one around here is fine with giving almost $3K to some "project" that you haven't detailed on how you will earn money to pay back. Also, you may want to sit down and have a read in the sticky topics in the loaning thread, specifically this:

What is not considered collateral?
- Future income.  You can prove you'll make xx coins in the next few days, but nothing forces you to send those coins to pay your debt.
58  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Magnesium Coin tried to hack my profile with a possible malware! on: December 19, 2015, 03:59:59 PM
You got a perfectly good answer from subSTRATA.

lets say in a fantasy world, i kill someone tomorrow and i went to court for it.

'sorry guys it was a mistake, wont happen again i promise.'

is that going to get me amnesty and keep me out of jail? 100% no.
same applies here.

Done.
59  Economy / Lending / Re: need a laon with collt on: December 19, 2015, 02:58:02 PM
What is not considered collateral?

- Items not in hand.  Don't trust a user that promises to give you something *when* they default!  Tracking numbers only show something has been mailed - it could be an empty box.
- Future income.  You can prove you'll make xx coins in the next few days, but nothing forces you to send those coins to pay your debt.
- Identification.  So what if they can prove who they are.  Are you going to spend more money and time taking them to court on untested legal grounds?  You'll probably just walk away, like everyone does.  ID is useless.
- Games codes or similar.  To verify the collateral you need to use the code, which destroys the collateral.  Consider this a purchase, not a loan.  (Post in Digital Goods instead)
- Most new alt-coins or alt-coins that trade for satoshis are not good collateral as they can become worthless overnight.
- Paypal should never be used - they are anti-bitcoin and will rule against you 100% of the time.  Escrow can't even help, as paypal charge backs can come over 6 months later!
- Most valuable online accounts can easily be recovered by social engineering (the user contacting support to say they were hacked, and regain control of the account)  Examples:  Steam

Although the eBay gift card is not covered in the quote, it isn't valid because you may have bought it with a credit card that is able to chargeback the purchase.
60  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: epay.info scam on: December 19, 2015, 01:21:15 AM
Honestly, it was probably something in their software - and businesses running on satoshis generally don't have good support. I haven't heard too many bad things about ePay, so it might be just you.

To shed a little more light on the subject, I'm the owner/manager of an internet cafe and computer repair/upgrade business. I have a LOT of free time on the internet and surfing the faucet sites is just a diversion that I engage in while I'm waiting for software to load (if I don't have a good movie to watch). It just irks me that they locked my account TWICE and when I sent an email asking what the problem was they sent an automated email saying that they don't answer emails anymore and I should log into my account and send a ticket. WHAT?!?!?! That's kind of impossible since being locked out of my account is the problem. LOL!!! Yes, its a scam, and a very aggravating one. Don't travel down that road. Hehehehe.

I doubt that story because if you were actually making decent money of your own (even running a few businesses), you wouldn't be spending hours for a couple cents. It's simply not worth it.
