41  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: July 20, 2023, 06:20:00 PM
Taking into account that things are so difficult that can happen when complaints are made in a casino in a specific government instance, it is very difficult for that to prosper, also what it says is the whole truth, if in its policies of terms and conditions it does not say that when there is that large amount of money it has to be considered as a scam, then it is important or really mandatory to read the terms and conditions before registering in a casino.

I think almost all casinos are asking for KYC for whatever, at least there are a few that require it in the beginning, but they should do it at the time of deposit, i.e. don't make any deposit until KYC is met.

Most of the time it bothers us as players to do this, of course all of this is sometimes not even the casino's fault, it's the governments that make things that way, because it's the only way that licenses can be obtained, so when a casino comes out that doesn't have licenses, you can't trust that casino either, things sometimes get complicated, as I've said many times, government ens make people like us have to leave our data, and even in some countries those who operate with Crypto must pay taxes, which that I will never agree, it is up to the players to decide.
If what we are telling are just pure facts, why we are going to be scared? We may lost the battle but at least we let others know about the shady things that some casinos are hiding. It can made people to avoid playing on them which can be the cause of their collapse later on, which is a good thing for us.

You don't seem to get the point of the guy above. He said if we read the TOS already but there are terms there that at are not written and suddenly the casino implements them without any advanced notice. I think that is a scammy behavior. Not all unlicensed casinos are a scam. People are used to them already ever since. A true crypto/decentralized platform doesn't need it anyway.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: July 20, 2023, 05:25:10 PM
Your small investment can grow over time. Start by researching and understanding investment opportunities like Bitcoin and the risks associated with it. Keep in mind factors such as market trends, performance, overall stability of the investment. Start with small investments and gradually increase your investment over time. With small investments you can gain experience and confidence.
I think he is done with that already. He even have Bitcoins with him now and it's going to be his third time to buy another portion, just in case he already have a money. He did started small. This is perfect for beginners to minimize their losses because mistakes are there although all of us can have it but for those inexperienced users, it can come very often.

With the state of the OP, he is a poor guy so it might be hard for him to elevate his investment amount even if he already have an experience. I think the only thing that he can do for now is to wait or HODL until the bull run comes. After he sell and make profit, that must be the time for him to invest in greater amounts.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2023, 09:35:21 AM
Lukaku rejected Chelsea and did an interview during mid season, twerking to go back to Inter. Now he’s open to joining a direct rival in the league. The bitter truth is, Lukaku and every footballer owes any club any form of loyalty. Chelsea doesn’t want him anymore, Inter pulled out because he was in contact with Juve.
So, he might end up in the Saudi league.
Most chances we will have Romeo Lukaku at Juventus because they are serious about this deal and their discussion with Chelsea going ahead because they are trying their best for the Vlahović departure which is creating way for the Lukaku, and he will join them in this summer because Chelsea is already lost patience with him Inter Milan is having no finances which are required for bringing him back at this club and Lukaku is also already rejected Saudi League offers because he feels he can do better here in European clubs, but this could be last chance for him if he fails again then surely his future is going to end with European clubs, and he has to go for somewhere else for his future even then if Saudi League will accept him this is not clear.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KINGPYN BOXING Competition on: July 19, 2023, 06:09:16 PM
They may be famous outside the crypto community but to most Bitcoiners, they are unknown. As much as we want to bet on boxing bouts, there are just uninteresting exhibition fights like the ones promoted by this Kingpyn.  @YuginKadoya posted this in the other thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5370631.msg62532811#msg62532811

The Logans really influenced a lot of YouTubers to also try boxing but this one looks like a reality TV.
Thanks for sharing it here and surely enough nobody really wants to engage with a discussion about it maybe because it is consist of influencers and not actual boxers but I posted it there to make people aware that there is some event that is going to happen but consist of non-boxers and just YouTubers, influencers, Onlyfan girls, and anything under the sun and they have provided an event that is surely out of the ordinary, for sure no one really are discussing this kind of things and I really don't see this profitable if there are no sponsors but I think they have, and I surely don't know any deeper information why they are doing this kind of things but still I really though this was interesting so I have posted it there,
It seems you are right because there's no users who quoted the last post you made but maybe there are some of them noticed and read it and maybe they start to research more of it? Like me for example, it's my first time hearing the keyword so I search for more info and see that it was the same as boxing but if people already embraced boxing and other variations related to it like MMA then why not this one? You're right, some fighters are a OnlyFans star. She even did flash her boobs after a win but it was censored. Well, what can we expect from her?

It was the nature of her career so things like that are already expected to happen. Maybe this sport was profitable as there might be betting site who offer a market for this? Their main point on why they are doing it is prolly to give people an entertainment.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 19, 2023, 08:31:34 AM
I never thought there would be such deep calculations behind the gambling based on genders. I’m not sure what’s the final outcome on this but it seems it’s unpredictable and there are just endless streams of logics to it. Gambling is something we play for fun and earn. I don’t think it is gonna be fruitful discussion ever. It’s not about the gender and who plays why. It’s all about we play it. Females are also proceeding to new heights when it comes playing anything that male used to do before. Whether it’s sports, whether it’s gambling there is no big difference these days. Everything is played equally. I think.
Well, not really equally but it's true that there is nothing in today's world that men do and women don't, be it gambling or anything else. Women these days say that they are not less than men and they want to be treated equally in every aspect, though we all know that in most sports or in a lot of fields the majority that are enrolled are males, females might do that as well but not in a quantity that equals to men doing that specific thing as well.

So if we talk about gambling, though it's not gender specific or there isn't anything that only men can do and women can't in gambling, men tend to gamble more than women and it can be easily proven if there are surveys conducted in places or cities where gambling is very much popular.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 19, 2023, 04:32:09 AM
Seeing someone winning that kind of amount makes me happy, as long as they can utilize it entirely and be smart about how they will be handling it. A lot of people are having a hard time because of mishandling. Those who have won and lost after a few months don't have any plans with it, and I think that's pretty common. It's just a waste of energy to be jealous of it or something. You cannot do something about it.

I have read somewhere that if you buy lottery tickets and the government controls them, it is somehow a subtle way of "giving" hope to the poor and collecting money from them without noticing it. It's something that I read the other day.
Your point about the government controlling and manipulating lotteries for their own benefit might be right but I think people shouldn't just buy tickets blindly without checking if there is enough transparency from the authorities managing the lotteries. If they don't disclose the winners publicly or don't give away any big rewards to anyone, people would eventually come to know about this scam and they should avoid buying tickets for such lotteries.

Poor people usually use a portion of their hard-earned money in these lotteries only with the hope that maybe someday their destiny will change and they will win a life-changing amount through one of these lotteries, but if governments manipulate the results only to have the money, that's too bad.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: July 18, 2023, 05:14:50 PM
LUNA that you invested has failed, but ETH, ADA and DOT will definitely last until 2026, in fact the price will definitely continue to increase when the bullrun occurs, therefore you don't need to worry about investing in ETH, ADA and DOT, because you will definitely get profit in the long term, but for THETA and AVAX I can't give an opinion, because I only know and invest in ETH, ADA and DOT.
We never know what the future of an altcoin project will end like, if we are too optimistic about the project then it will be a mistake,
take a look at Terra Luna, who would have thought LUNA would end up being a Scam,
of course from this we can learn that we should not expect too long in the crypto currency project.
Before what happened to LUNA followed by FTX, people used to have too much belief in altcoins and even used to keep them for the long term, but as soon as it crashed and caused people millions of dollars in losses, everyone stopped believing in altcoins for the long run, and most of the people now buy and sell altcoins only for a very short period of time only to gain a few percentages of profit because they are still afraid of holding them for long.

Apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum, none of the coins in the whole cryptocurrency market are trustable for being held for the long run, other assets must only be bought and sold for a very short period of time and if they are kept for long, they might make you lose money.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 18, 2023, 04:34:00 AM
The phrase “gamble only the amount that you can afford to lose” signifies that, bet or invest that amount which you won’t require urgently for other purposes. If by chance these money gets in losses, then you should have sufficient money to survive. People often gambles with money that is required to pay their monthly bills and that is required to survive. So many have advised to avoid these type of funds. This is practical and very essential. If you have some extra money or savings, gamble with that only, as if you lose it also, you will get more chances in future to save those.
When we have extra money, it is usually put in our piggy bank or savings account, and the money there shouldn't be touched anymore because it is allocated only for emergency use. We can still be able to play gambling by dividing that extra money we have. Other than having enough money, we also don't regret heavily or we won't be depressed if we lose in gambling by playing only amounts we can afford to lose.

I've seen lots of gamblers who complain that they lost their money that is supposed to be for their rent and other important things like you said. I think these people are already addicted to gambling but maybe it's not too late yet for them to change it.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 18, 2023, 02:55:53 AM
How can I understand a meme coin's position in the current market? Is there any way to tell if it will be good or bad? I have seen MEXC exchange add many meme tokens daily. How to identify a good token from here?
We all would have been millionaires by now if we could know that in advance. Meme coins are totally dependent on market hype and huge investments, so you can't simply identify if a meme coin is going to go up or not because they don't have a project, they don't have any team, they don't serve any purpose at all, they are just a coin based on a meme or nowadays, a lot of coins are not even based on memes but they are carbon copies of the already existing coins.

So it's totally useless to invest in all the meme coins only with the hope that one might go up and you get a lot of profit because most of them tend to fail and if all of them fail, you will lose a lot of money. So it's better if you just invest that amount in a token or coin that you know will gain value over time.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 17, 2023, 06:11:53 AM
Actually Rudi Garcia is indeed a good coach, it's just that the fans expect Napoli's performance to be the same as last season, of course that will be a heavy burden for Rudi Garcia and many people doubt that Rudi Garcia is able to maintain Napoli's slick performance, and also Rudi Garcia is a minimal coach. regarding achievements, I think while at Napoli he will experience very heavy pressure to be able to continue what Spalletti has given to the Napoli team.
Well, in about 8 weeks; we will find out about Rudi Garcia coaching pedigree theres no need to speculate. Napoli are Serie A reigning champions; Garcia jobs will be to go for another title win or atleast challenge for the title closely while also improving on the success of last season in the champions league. With Kim Min Jae reportedly off to Bayern Munich; Napoli need to bolster their squads and improve the squad depths ahead of the new season.
Right now, expectations are high from the Rudi Garcia as he is taking charge of champions club which is surely expected, but all will be clear before winter break about his future can he exist until end of the next season, or we will have another change even most chances he will be not bad as he is experienced and good coach with most chances Napoli will be gone through for to defend of their title with all big names will be available for the another season which is also good because there were rumors about few big names are going to leave club in this summer but until now we have no official statement which is also good.

There is no doubt Rudi Garcia will be under pressure, but he needs to be aggressive and good like Napoli former coach which change the all momentum and win the title for them after long time.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the most bullish altcoin of the week? on: July 16, 2023, 04:12:00 PM
In my opinion we are so close to reach another alt season and i'm very bullish with loopring, band and chainlink. All of that coins is my fav for defi project and especially for BAND i very optimist for this coin will reach another ATH when bull run comes.
I am not sure about the alt season but when there is a bull run, altcoins are still rising. Any good altcoin or even not really, can be able to join the rare event. Loopring was once a good altcoin I know but I'm not sure about it now. For Chainlink, I think it maintained its charm to the public. It's not that inactive like the other old coins out there but it was only developing slowly especially now that we are not yet totally out of the bear market.

Another coin in your list is BAND. It's my first time to hear about this coin. Is it new? Maybe it also have a potential because you are confident about it. Just be sure to invest only amounts you can afford to lose.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $120k next year - by Robert Kiyosaki on: July 15, 2023, 06:16:39 PM
Quote
and that in 2024 bitcoin will be worth $120k.
If this is coming from Robert Kiyosaki I won't be surprised because has a soft support for bitcoin unlike Warren buffet who saw bitcoin to be a bubble that will soon burst to tin air. Robert after writing his book rich dad poor dad has grown in he preaches for wealth creation. Predicting $120k for bitcoin in 1- 2years time is very reasonable if we look at the last ATH @64k, so it is very likely to happen with the rate of value it holds with institutions and whales that are accumulating while some are waiting for a drop before the real bull next year.
I don't find that reasonable at all, the price will need to go up 4x from the point where it is right now to reach that mark and that is not something very easy to achieve even though I know that Bitcoin has got the potential as we've seen it going up significantly high in very short periods of time, I believe the target is absurdly high for this timeframe because the targets it achieved in the past were not that high but this one seems too high for me.

Besides, for that to happen, Bitcoin will first need to recover to its previous all-time high which in itself is a pretty high target considering what the price is right now, we are around $32k at the moment and it will need to go up $37k more to reach the previous all-time high.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Follow These To Be A Good Price Predictor on: July 15, 2023, 05:59:25 PM
A person cannot become a good predictor even after following all the steps unless he can change himself. So it is not a guarantee that following all the steps will make a good predictor. Self-discipline can make a person successful everywhere, so it is important to be a self-disciplined person to be a good trader, good predictor. Nice try OP, now it's a matter of seeing how one thinks and uses these things.
Price prediction is hard especially to a very volatile and unpredictable market like crypto. You may predict it correctly this time, but in the next days, you need to do a lot of analysis so you can foresee the price again, otherwise you will trade at a wrong timing. However, it’s not just good price prediction that matters, but also how you handle your risk management in trading, and how your behavior and attitudes are when you are trying to trade at a very unpredictable market.
Even the experts can't perfectly time the market all the time, they might make predictions based on research and analysis and get a close call but they wouldn't be able to have a perfect prediction, it happens but it doesn't happen all the time as you said, so one needs to understand that they should take a trade when they think the time is right based on their own research and gut feelings, though I wouldn't recommend going with gut feelings all the time.

Sometimes, it's best to simply DCA when you feel you are in the right range but not sure of the correct time when you wanted to buy a specific asset so that you don't miss out on the opportunity if your prediction doesn't really go the way you wanted it to go, that's a good way to go about it as well.
54  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: July 15, 2023, 05:10:10 PM
I see the discussion has somewhat swerved from OP's original post. My only comment on that is, proof or you're talking shit, and casino's don't need to cheat as house edge is already in their favour, and gambler fallacy plus other common behaviours actually aid the house edge, the only thing they're exposed to is variance, so they already have systems in place to prevent overexposure.

It's bad business to cheat, and other casinos would love to expose you, so if the guy's comment has any value, my question is why he hasn't made a lot of money exposing it.

That said, the best bet is to know who audits the casino's RNG. And then choose to trust that audit's methods.
You got a point. Reputable and big casinos don't have to cheat on roulette knowing that they will win at the end of day. Even on real roulette, I don't think that casino's will cheat because they can be exposed easily and it can make their casino go bankrupt rapidly if they caught red handed. Though not sll casino is fair to their players especially those who are on the verge of bankrupcy and the one who are just starting. To be safe, it would be better for us to just stick on reputable casinos whether it's physical or online casino.
If we talk about getting caught, I don't think that an old casino with an experienced team and staff will get caught for cheating the gamblers because they will probably have enough experience about everything within the casino and they can easily manage to do things that no one would ever notice since there is already so much noise and so many people that no one would notice every small detail about the game or what is happening in or around the game.

I believe newer and bankrupted casinos can be more vulnerable to this, if they try and cheat their gamblers, knowing there are fewer players and no one would notice but they will eventually get nervous and give it away because the team wouldn't be as experienced as the other restaurants around.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 14, 2023, 07:15:10 PM
Many said its absolutely a scam, pathetic and more. but crypto currency has favored to those who trusted on it, In terms of cross border payment, p2p and vice versa the domination of crypto is keep on increasing. In terms of investment people knew only Crude, stocks, bonds, stock market, gold etc...but this platform made a way ahead to make money harder and smarter, I know most of the government's are not favoring this but in upcoming years you will see the green signal for crypto as well.

I personally feel it has changed most of us in our life, In terms of technology and development we every one know the way we are heading towards web3, metaverse, defi are remarkable. All credits to development of bitcoin Smiley I am earning this from as well, I never thought I would make much descent money in this sector. share your success as well thankyou Cheesy
One's success in cryptocurrency can be determined based on how much money they've made so far after adopting cryptocurrencies either by trading them in exchanges or working for them at different places such as signature campaigns and other services available on this forum, a lot of people find success in cryptocurrency universe but a lot also struggle to achieve that because it is easier said than done and those who can't properly manage everything can't get success.

Most newbies these days don't really learn anything about the market or trading and just enter the market with their investments since they don't know much, they tend to be more vulnerable to losses in their trading endeavors and they learn step-by-step after incurring some losses initially.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think at some point government will change its stand and adopt Bitcoin? on: July 14, 2023, 06:21:34 PM
If it is general possibility then there is a chance, I think but I doubt that all governments would do so. There would always be doubts on their end simply because this technology is a new thing still. Also with regards to monitoring and transactions that governments are concerned of, this would not be easy to achieve for this industry. What's more likely to happen is gradual acceptance from sectors such as what happened recently wherein banking institutions are quite giving a short for cryptocurrency adoption. Well, regulation would more likely take place which is what making the process, complicated since it is in contrast with this technology's nature.
A lot of governments wouldn't accept Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies at all, not because it's a new technology but because they know Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will provide their citizens with alternative wealth storages and they might stop using banks as frequently as they used to do before them, and since they can't have access to accounts or financial activities of each user on the blockchain, they will lack control and they can never accept that.

That will surely be the reason why many countries will simply push Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies away, although other cryptocurrencies are not totally decentralized as their projects and teams have total control over them, Bitcoin is the biggest threat for them since it's totally decentralized.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 05:33:30 PM
My first taste in gambling is through lottery betting, lottery is so popular here in our country that almost every street here in our country have a lottery outlet its very easy to bet all you have to do is to pick six numbers in a lottery ticket and pay in the counter and watch the result live on TV to see how many numbers did you hit, there's also a consolation prize if you hit 5 digits and 4 digits, I can consider lottery is our national form of gambling its government-run and part of the revenues are being used to help the poor sector of our country that is why it is well supported by our citizen.
Wow, I've never heard of a government that uses the revenue from lottery tickets to help the poor sector of their country, this is a great thing to be done by a government where governments of poor countries don't really care about their poor population and are mostly busy filling their own pockets by either corruption or running their own businesses all around the world, that is the reason why most third-world countries don't develop easily.

I'm personally not a fan of lotteries because I believe it is very difficult to win in lotteries, especially when there are so many participants and so many tickets have been sold which makes your probabilities lower and you barely manage to win a prize, I've tried it many times but no luck at all.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 14, 2023, 12:39:41 PM
Some people has speculate David De Gea future that after 12 years playing with Manchester United finally he will look for new clubs and recently he got several offers from Turkish team Fenerbahce and the latest is from Al Nassr that this team will attempts to gets De Gea with 250.000 per week salary and Al Nassr hopes De Gea will considering this offers and during play with Manchester United De Gea has playing 545 matches and 190 cleansheet so this is fantastic records from him
If De Gea want money then moved to Al Nassr would be good option but indeed he hasn't respond it yet regarding this rumour but let's see what his decision is whether De Gea will reject Al Nassr or he will accept it and play in the Saudi Pro League
And it will be De Gea's reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo if he chooses Al Nassr.
and Al Nassr Al Nassr want to continue strengthening the squad by recruiting top European players, and they have just brought in Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.
And if De Gea wants to continue his career he can join another top club to look for new challenges because I don't think he is too old, and if he is chasing money Al Nassr is the right choice.
Manchester United are reportedly starting to target a number of goalkeeper candidates to replace De Ge and one of the names Teh Hag is eyeing is Jordan Pickford.
With the exit of De GEA an era is ended at Manchester United without any doubt he was the best player for years and done impressive job right now we have no official statement about his future and things are looking not easy for him because Al-Nassr already give him luxury offer which is surely not easy to leave but with few other offers are also around him like Fenerbahçe from Turkey is also looking for him to join them but what are the terms it's not clear.

Manchester United's search is on for the new goalkeeper with most chances they will be done with Onana and if this not happen then most chances Henderson will be their first choice goalkeeper for the next season now hopefully things will be positive for the Al-Nassr to bring De GEA in Saudi League because many big names are already here and this can give good chance to him join his former teammates.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 14, 2023, 08:49:41 AM
~Snip
Onana's transfer to Manchester United seems to be done at any time because he is really close and on the other hand they lost their first goalkeeper De Gea which can show us Onana's transfer is nearly done. Also, Bayern Munich is not going to have a long-term plan with Neuer because of his age, also he is still getting recovered and not ready for the games.
Manuel Neuer seems to be at the end of his career at Bayern Munich considering he only has one season contract still valid. Manuel Neuer is 37 years old but he can still play at a very high level, but due to his physical condition and frequent injuries it is clear that Bayern Munich needs to think about his future.

Yann Sommer and Sven Ulreich are also 33 and 34 years old, so of course Bayern Munich really have to think about a suitable replacement for them. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich has 2 young goalkeepers in Alexander Nubel and Johannes Schenk, but both of them have not received much trust from the coach to appear with the first team.
Without any doubt Manuel Neuer is still their best goalkeeper but with his current injury status things are looking not good because most chances he will join after few rounds of next season, and they have already done their homework for the alternative which is quite useful even new goalkeeper is also 34, but he will do good job for them in coming season, and they also have few other options even China goalkeeper is quite young but after 3 or 4 years he could be also good and can replace as first choice goalkeeper for them.

Now most chances they will give chance to Yann Sommer before having Manuel Neuer as their first choice with he is now having last season at the club if his injury and performance allow him for the better than hopefully things could be gone positive for him.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 13, 2023, 01:12:46 PM
Before launch they first introduced their sign up options for their waitlist, and mostly people joined it and mostly people are thinking that they will get the airdrop from their sign up , that's why its gain a hype after just announcening it that it has a launchpad on binance exchange as well.
I missed the airdrop, lol. Even though I already signed up before, I just didn't get any invites.

Another thing, there was some issue that spreading about Arkham, some are saying that Arkham is a project of the CIA to have surveillance on people.
And the issue also that Arkham is just collecting every person's personal information like email, name, IP, and device info because that's indeed what is on their terms of service.

Overall, I'm not a hater of this project, it's a great project for on-chain analysis and an all-in-one wallet scanner. The only thing I don't like is the way they collect some personal information.
A waitlist must have its own purpose and not really for the airdrops. A good project won't just give airdrops just like that but if let's say it's possible, not all can get it and it will mostly be raffled like the others, so cheer up man. No need to disappoint your self about it.

If you want something that is sure, the best way is to use your own money to invest on the coin. This wasn't the first time I hear a project who are like that ( the way you describe it ). For the rumors saying it's a project of CIA, lol I think that sounds unbelievable. I think this is just a FUD for others to avoid the project and the FUDers are the ones who will invest the most on it.
