OP posted that on 7 Aug 2020, it was time of bear market and people started losing patience. Many sold coins at loss to smart investors. If he has waited for few more months he would be in current bull run where almost every coin is at its ATH.
The very problem with each investors, when there's a dump and it takes a long time the pressure to sell and follow the trend is really tempting, Even you are done doing your research you are still prone to take unnecessary actions that leads you to lose your investment. I would warn against laptop mining but we have new laptops with latest architecture, they can withstand heavy loads at low power consumption so it's not a bad plan at all if your laptop is one of the latest, just put your eye on the temp using msi afterburner

Currently EOS is struggling in the market but this is a well established coin in the cryptocurrency market which is capable enough to give impressive performance in near future hopefully it may be worthy decision to buy some EOS at this stage because the probability looks higher of this coin to grow.
In the chart, EOS already give some pattern to make a bull pattern, but at the end the pattern didnt do it well. I think infinite supply is not a problem as long as it gives profits to the miners.
