42  Economy / Goods / Re: [FREE ENTRY RAFFLE] Bitcoin 3D Printed Coffee Mugs [Satoshi Style] on: September 10, 2012, 12:25:31 AM
Expensive but cool. I kinda wish I could get one. Can you drink out them like a cheap coffee mug I can buy at local store? 3D printing is really interesting.

well after browsing through a lot of the forum.....even if i did have some kind of business plan i dont think i would post in on here...looks like something big went down and everyone got screwed over..... doesnt look like there is any trust at all....that kind of scares me.....i dont know maybe its not as bad as it looks?

Talking about that Pirate guy? I heard of that alot on here. Some guy ran a Ponzi or something, but not everyone is bad. Not everyone is good. Just like when dealing in USD. Same thing here.

Bitcoin-Qt is a nice easy to use client, you can download it at http://bitcoin.org. I guess one of the cons is that you have to download the whole block chain but other than that I find the interface and program easy to use. I also try to open it at least once a day or week to make sure the block chain is up to date.

so whats a newb to do here?

Lots to do on the forums once you get out of the newbie section. I mostly just read interesting stuff, learn about things. Also people can trade on the forums. I also hang out on IRC from time to time.

Messed up. Just as bad as shipping jobs over to China. I hear lots of Americans complaining about China, but never heard any complain about this. Wonder if the general population really knows about this. I didn't know about it till I seen this. Would be awesome if the major media did a story on this but they are owned by the government also I've been told.

This program has pros and cons. I think keeping them busy and working gives them something to do and might cut down on them fighting within. So if they want to do this, maybe pay them minimize wage.. idk. Might help with competition. Then maybe the prison inmates could put that money in a bank account and have some money saved up for when they get out. So then maybe they could use that money to get a place, some nice cloths then try to get a job and fit back in to society. I hear some of the prison inmates getting out of prison will be lost and don't know what to do with their new found freedom so they will do crimes again to go back to prison so they will be back to something they feel conformable with.

Hmm. Lowering the price to 3BTC. or post an offer. Just trying to get something from these domains instead of letting them go to waste.

Hello. Cheesy
50  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Arcade4Playing domains on: September 07, 2012, 05:23:00 PM
I'm selling http://www.arcade4playing.com and http://www.arcadeforplaying.com my little arcade site that I kinda haven't been keeping up with, like adding new games and such. I don't think I can transfer the AVArcade License becuase they are tied to my email and they don't let you change it I don't think. You got to login to that account area to grab updates. I can include the logo(SVG file). I was thinking 3.5BTC for both domains and the logo. Post a offer if you wish. Once someone buys I can transfer them to your own Dynadot account. Please trusting members only or Escrow or you send me half, I send you one, then repeat for the other. I haven't really done a trade like this before. I will also transfer https://twitter.com/arcade4playing Twitter account and https://www.facebook.com/Arcade4playing (will need to add you as an admin and then delete myself from being admin). Also you may have to pay a transfer fee for each domain but I don't think that happens if you do it within the same domain registry but I haven't done something like that before so just being upfront.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all the Litecoin haters, trolls and twats on: July 04, 2012, 10:29:47 AM
I've been slowly mining LTC on an old spare PC. Not making alot. like 8 a day, and they really have no value to me, but I doubt Bitcoins had much values that early also. I like how LTC aims to the sliver, and BTC is like gold. Will be interesting to see how it works out. LTC is the only alternate crypto currency that looks good.  I still plan to use BTC. I'm more of just watching LTC. I hope the value raises!

hmm. Yeah. I was thinking more of a way to "jumpstart" the block database, just copy the block chain and go. That's why I was thinking same format, but importing would work also I guess.

That looks promising. Might give it a try when my project is in the stage where I need to add a wallet. Still working on getting the basics out of the way.

@ keverw I reckon so.The admins will need a converter type tool or importer to import data into the new system. In the case of invision power boards,The converter would be this : http://www.invisionpower.com/suite/convert.php

Looks great. I guess buying a forum software with a importer available is a major plus. I would be sad if the forum had to start fresh again.
58  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Port client to node.js? on: June 25, 2012, 04:56:19 AM
Here's a project that appears to have stalled:

Looks like it uses it's own DB, I would prefer the one I have an idea for to use the same database files as the QT wallet. Just copy in to a dir and it would work. Might be worth trying to fork and updating.
I don't think there is a BDB adapter for JS, so this would likely be a large undertaking.

Not sure. Googled it. Would https://github.com/mcavage/node-bdb, be it?

What's gonna happen to the current forums? Will the data be imported or somthing like that?
