41  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 08, 2016, 01:11:03 PM
It's difficult to earn a living with something that is somewhat still in a beta mode. Bitcoin is suppose to grow and only grow. Not sink, or be stagnant. Bitcoin holding is a risky thing to do.
Bitcoin is not in beta mode anymore now. And it works like fiat so you can easily earn same amount in bitcoin offering service for bitcoin inspite of fiat.

It is in very early development stage, even though the foundation has been laid. We need to block size to rise to at least 2MB to get it used more.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 08, 2016, 01:05:22 PM
safe or whether bitcoin is how we look after it. if we are not smart and intelligent keep bitcoin account then we could lose everything.

to guarantee the security and I think bitcoin is still not fully.  Smiley

True if you are carefull and protect it nothing can or will happen.
If you don't do that, like any other money, you can lose it to thieves and hackers.

Yes, correct measures are to be taken at initial stage, if you fail to do so, then there is no guarantee that your bitcoins would be safe as hackers and scammers have close watch on our hard earned coins, and they would do anything to steal our coins.

Make sure to avoid online wallets too. They can't be trusted.
History has proven this. So with good security (encrypted password) bitcoin is very safe.

I agree with you. I also believe that bitcoins are safe in itself. But the online wallets indeed less secure.
I think the safest way is to store it on your own computer.

I do not use online wallet. It is not about security. I do not want others to have my money. The wallet operator might use my coins for other purpose.

44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: February 06, 2016, 11:48:35 AM
There is no easy way to earn Bitcoin fast, or else everyone would be doing it. The best ways are signature campaigns and trading.

The best way to earn bitcoin is to ask your employer to pay you the bitcoin. So that you do not need to trade it.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 06, 2016, 11:46:28 AM
Bitcoin gives you an option, you can use it without the banks. You can also use it with the banks if the banks allow you. That will be very safe.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining hardware is it profitable???? on: February 05, 2016, 10:45:57 AM
Oh i see. I want to mine bitcoins that is profitable or other coin is profitablte Huh Huh

If you buy miners now. It will not be profitable to mine bitcoin if your electricity is higher than $0.1/kWh. The block reward will be halved and the difficulty rises too fast.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 05, 2016, 10:42:56 AM
It is safe as there are so many investors already. The whales are heavily invested into it and the only problem is the price stability in order for it to be used by more merchants.

Yes. We want the price to be very stable to be used by merchants. At present, it is just a good tool for trading and investment.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 04, 2016, 09:21:19 AM
it's as safe as your creditcard IMO, if you don't expose your computer to viruses or trojans or show the private keys to someone else then it is safe, as an investment it depends, but surely a high-risk money investment.

I think it is much safer than those credit cards. If those are stolen it can be used just to swipe and sign. Bitcoin is not that easy to be used, there are codes and it can also be connected to your and whenever it is logged or used it will text you or email you.

For credit card, if they are stolen and used, you will not be liable. You can get your money back. But if your bitcoin is stolen, it is gone.

"And even if you don’t use our new User Management features, there’s a lot more in store over the next few months. Our engineering team is currently hard at work to bring you new connectivity options, faster deposits and withdrawals, and, at long last, new currencies to trade. At the same time, our intrepid legal team is hard at work getting Gemini approved to operate in all 50 states, as well as, around the world."

It’s going to be an exciting year for Gemini, and I hope you’ll join us for the ride.

Onward and upward,

Eric Winer
VP of Engineering

After a bit more research , i think its safe to say...ETH is coming to Gemini

We are Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, but you probably know us as the Winklevii. We are here to talk about Gemini (gemini.com), our new bitcoin exchange. AMA, or rather AUA!

8  We're definitely considering it – right now, we have a lot of work cut out to us just to launch successfully with bitcoin, but certainly Ether seems like a really promising asset to be traded on Gemini and we will consider it for sure.

If we can trade Ethereum in Gemini, that is a big boost to the community. Gemini is regulated exchange. So quite safe.

Bitcoin is very safe, its the best pay method in the world.
Its very safe and also untraceable.
The bitcoin is the future of all currency's

It is safe but it is traceable. All the transactions can seen online. People can trace the transactions easily.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: February 02, 2016, 09:22:17 AM
i dont know the way, the only thing i can recommend for that is signature campaigns of this forum
Yeah I also suggest this, but most payments are per week. but if you want to payment per day, might try, a signature campaign from yobit,
but its rate is quite small
can get 0.006BTC/day from yobit I think not too small, it's just that you have to make many posts to get more.

Looking at your rank you can make 0.004 per day as they pay 0.0002 per post and you can post max 20 per day, and I think its a good amount to hold, as yobit pays on daily basis you don't have to keep on waiting for a week to receive payments.

make a lot of posts every day, it could potentially be spam and it's not suitable for me to make 20post/day, because I have a busy life in the real world.

200 posts a day is a lot. I think the quality will be lower than if you only make 5 a day. No more than 10 a day.

great forces at ETH, more than billion dollars of investment. let us arrive with power!

Ethereum has more potential than Uber, imagine a market cap of over 40 Billion US$...

Alphabet (Google) is the most valuable company in the world now. It is a software company. Ethereum is also software based.

The average network hash rate is just 60MH/s. It is about 3x280x hash rate. Why is it slow slow. How many blocks does it use to average?

Where can I obtain the official GPU Miner?
Using Ubuntu 14.04, can compile.

https://github.com/ethereum/webthree-umbrella

The umbrella project for all of C++ Web Three implementation

This includes the etherminer.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SOIL - Environmentally Conscious, Community Driven, Provable Transparency on: January 30, 2016, 08:16:03 AM
Soon network will be down again with 4 hour block times.
No miners at pools, only big solo miner takes all the coins. When blocks will be stable over 1-2 minutes, he will left, and network will be in coma for another week.

We really need more rapid adjustments to the difficulty!

Has the developer been aware of this problem? If so, will he do anything to it? We need fast block adjust.

Edit: I notice that the developer is aware of the problem and asking for suggestions.

In ethminer.exe version 1.0.1 does not reflect the rate of mining. Once solved?

Simply use an older version, nothing has changed with hashing/mining since the 0.x versions

And the official miner is the fastest in the market. There is no optimised miner for Ethereum so far as I know.

Will Ethereum Market Capitalization be over $200M at the end of 1st half 2016? Yes or no? Dare to bet in Bitcoin?
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/ethereum-over-200m-market-cap-end-of-1st-half-2016-1516?ref=scacco

I think the Eth price will stay above $3 by the end of June 2016. There are many applications for Ethereum.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: January 29, 2016, 09:06:25 AM
Those newbee restriction are killing me..
Best way for fast earning are dice platforms like PRIMEDICE.

You can buy a higher rank account for 0.xx bitcoins. It is quite cheap now. With those account, there are less restrictions.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 28, 2016, 11:25:55 AM
So nice to see Ethereum strong in all fronts. Dapps are pushing forward their development Cheesy

That is the most important for the value of Ethereum. Without further development, Ethereum is just a scam coin.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: January 28, 2016, 11:23:21 AM
i think is Bitcoin is safe in my opinion as compare to paper money because no one is stolen your money, you can purchase goods in safe mode

If keeping it safe from being seen by anyone, it is safe, but how long? we never know, bitcoin price moves very fast. I think it should be half fiat and half bitcoin if he want to keep, who knows what the price of bitcoin maybe. and might fall, so its better to be wife, put half in wallet and half in fiat.  Smiley

If the one million users today have half bitcoin and half fiat, the bitcoin price will be through the roof. I think we have 1% in bitcoin and 99% in fiat.
