A few more questions from a coinlab noob: 1) How can we see how many loyalty points we have accumulated 2) How can we see how many loyalty points we have remaining 3) How can we see when coinlab believes we are at less than $2.50/ghash/day 4) Is ths $2.50/ghash/day based on MTGox avg trade per day or last price 4.1) If last price, how can we see what proportion of a days mining consumes loyalty points 5) Will we be notified when coinlab believes we are at less than $2.50/ghash/day?

When/how do we get paid? I've earned my first btc with coinlab, I'd like to pull it out.

Yes
Awesome - are you running a 5 or 6 card setup? Is it possible to undervolt in BAMT?
|
|
|
Put the high draw cards on the PCIe power rails, use the low draw cards on the molex rails and you might get away with it
alternatively, try undervolting one or more cards.
|
|
|
Out of curiosity - will BAMT support 5 or 6 HD7970 cards?

Are you running all 7970's? What drivers and setup are you using to get windows to recognise all 5 GPU's? Are you using XP/Vista/Windows 7? 32bit or 64bit? I cant for the life of me get more than 4 gpus going at once.

I have been trying to get 6 cards (or 5) to work on my rig.
6x 7970 on an asrock H61DEL which has 1x PCI 16x and 5x PCI 1x
So far I can get cards working in every slot, BUT only if 4 cards are plugged in at any given time.
If I plug in a 5th or a 6th card, device manager shows them with a little exclamation mark.
If I try to mine I get a BSOD
I have tried the following drivers with no luck 11.x (doesnt work with 7970) 12.4 (BSOD) 12.8 (exclamations in device mgr)
Anyone had ANY luck running such a combo?

P.s. no good reason for 12.4 vs 12.8. Is there a noticeable improvement in any regard?
Actually there is a bug present in 12.4 which causes exactly what you're experiencing. In order to fix it you need dummy plugs. With 12.8, you don't need them. Updating to 12.8 fixed the speed problem, thanks!

The only other time I've seen this happen has been when the cards had a modified BIOS or when MSI Afterburner wasn't properly setting clocks.
This is the same with my experience. Can you reboot the computer and try running CGMiner without using AB? I only tried AB after CGMiner was not producing results - i.e. the problem was there without AB installed. I think it will be ULPS. When I am back in front of the machine I will give that a go and report back. P.s. no good reason for 12.4 vs 12.8. Is there a noticeable improvement in any regard?

Just a wild guess: try disabling ULPS.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
There are numbered keys in this registry location, perhaps more keys than you have GPUs. Some of them might be leftovers from earlier driver installs. You can check from device manager what the registry keys for your cards are. Just double click on the GPU, select details, and then view Driver key from the list. After you've found the right registry keys, change EnableULPS under them from 1 to 0. Then reboot.
Ahhh I was unaware of ULPS - that sounds like it will be the culprit - I will give that a try! Thanks!

Is your CPU usage pegged when CGMiner is running? If so, this is why your cards aren't getting fully utilized.
Turn the intensity to 7 on each card (it looks like you're running on dynamic).
No CPU isnt maxed - it is running at about 15% with CG miner. Runs at about 2-5% with GUI miner at similar hash rate. I tried turning the intensity to 9 and it still ran @ 500mhz clock

|
What driver are you using?
12.4 catalysts I am thinking they're stuck in low power mode for some reason and thus aren't following the clock that they're set to, but can't work out why.
|
|
|
I get that if my card doesn't like it when AB sets the core clock using unofficial overclock = 2. I have to use AB to set my memory, and then use CGMiner to set my CPU
I've also thought about running them in that 500/150 low power mode. They get just a hair under 300MH/s, but use like 50-60W!
I assume AB = MSI Afterburner? Changing the clock in AB and cgminer doesnt seem to affect anything other than the primary card for me, even though theyre "linked" ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) P.S. I am getting around 440w at the power point if I set everything low, so not sure its worth it except to save on noise and heat

Thanks. Are 11.12 drivers particularly good or known to work with 5-6 cards?
I don't remember which 12.x are okay, but when 12.1 came out I got BSODs after adding 5th card, switched back to 11.12 and it was fine. But I only have HD5xxx and HD6xxx, if you have HD7xxx series search if 11.12 will work fine / best. Unfortunately 11.12 dont seem to work with 7970's ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

Try newer drivers or 11.12
Thanks. Are 11.12 drivers particularly good or known to work with 5-6 cards?

Hi all,
Just been toying with a new mining/opencl rig. Running 6x7970s via pci risers on a 1500w gold PSU. Not drawing close to that according to the killawatt when it BSODs.
Every time I try to run up 5 or 6 cards in cgminer I get an almost immediate BSOD.
Running 12.4 catalyst drivers

Anyone got any idea why the cards running on PCI 1x extenders run at half the clock speed of my card on the 16x extender cable? Is it just coiincidence or is there some other setting I am likely to have wrong?
I cant work it out, they wont seem to ramp up to 925mhz when load comes on in either GUI minter or cgiminer

edit:
Just discovered in GPU Z that all the slow cards are set to run at 500mhz clock 150mhz memory for some completely unknown reason - any ideas as to why?

How many of these are left?

Thanks for that
What drives the drop date? Is it the global hash rate (i.e. number of blocks processed)? i.e. if the ASIC compute comes online in october, would the date move forward dramatically?

What is an SPV client? Couldnt see that defined anywhere
