Admittedly he was also involved very much so with hyperstake, as I recall correctly. And mintcoin too.

Why do you hate it so much as to single it out from Mintcoin and Hyperstake?

Hope you find clarity, some day Smiley

severe > moderate

health this year: good

approximate total cost @ current market sale prices: 3520000m

income this year: 1400000m

net cost to player: 2120000m (USD 0.79)

estimated income next year: (1400000) + (420000) + (1000000) = 2820000m

expected cost to player next year: <700000m (USD 10.00 Wink)

age: 46

Feeling okay with the spending this year, I'm waiting to find out what a moderate result does to health in 1617 Smiley

Congrats everyone on making the market and challenge seemingly better meet each other.

Found out the most basic trick to these health challenges: get comfy Cheesy ----play these in the background--->

Not being able to determine exactly whether or not the bittersweet envelopment of an heirless death would be welcome over spending that which would be considered seven years worth of wages for this lowly commoner, goin2mars quickly placed all his remaining stores of food and drink back on the market in an effort to return the harrowingly resplendent goods to the ostensible demon from which they came.

"Next year I'd be better off growing such barbarous niceties from land I've sowed myself rather than paying a quarter of my lifes wages just to carry on for another glorious year in the Kingdom." He remarked.

"For at least then I could rest satisfied knowing that I succumbed to my own shortcomings, limited knowledge and slightly advanced age, than ever considering some adventitious act of fate. Fate, it would seem to have pushed me into restoring all but five of the beautiful mushrooms I found on the market not more than a year ago, that I may recover from the ghastly loss."

goin2mars shuddered as the thoughts of having to eat again next year ran circles through his mind. He found himself increasingly drawn to the idea of being able to seek respite in a house with a large plot of fertile land someday, rather than the cold barren nights wandering the kingdom aimlessly, without an animal (small game) in sight .

-health challenge was a lot of fun all, I'm looking forward to the next one, even if my character might be a little on the edge Wink. Thanks for all the nice work being done on ultima!

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Is the topic "Monero Speculation" just advertising ? on: November 23, 2015, 04:27:48 AM
Monero shills are in bed with forum mods. Watch how the mods let the muner0 trolls spread their shit relentlessly where ever they want.

Anyone else steps out of line and its delete/ban.....

Just wondering here, but have you noticed that there's also an increased presence of profiles with the 'donator' badge? Fluffypony and rpietila come immediately to mind.

Seems that it would be a no-brainer to avoid moderation by giving people money, imo :/

I don't see a lot of donator' badges anywhere else in altcoins, is all I'm saying. Rarely if it is so and not directly involved in the project.

Maybe it would be a good idea to spend some money on donating some of that marketing budget on the forum software, rather than signature ad spam, or new profile spamming? Or just posting a new topic in general?

Its pretty apparent that ya get what ya pay for here, why should we expect any different?

Crazy conspriracy stuff aside, biometrics spings to mind - voice print, retinal scan, fingerprint, and handwriting analysis as you enter the characters using a stylus.
Of course it's tough to beat torture if TPTB really want the info.

How do you think that biometrics could be used to interface with everything online, at home? Not gonna lie, I also thought about the same thing at first. That's pretty much where the thought stopped though.

But bigger block size limit leads to centralization  Tongue

PoW leads to centralization. It's absolutely inevitable that mining will converge to a few mega farms as the profit margin narrows to microcents, where anyone with a processor has the sense to spend their money best at the market.

It should be apparent by now that the role of blockchain finance is clearly not to be secured by solely decentralized means, in the sense that you individually play any major part in securing the network. This excludes mega farms. More that mega farms either become subsidized, or publicly traded conglomerates. Likely nodes would need to be subsidized, due to lack of incentive other than providing commons. Or, the costs of operating nodes gets built into the infrastructure. Like the store you shop at pays a fee, which is used to set up and establish nodes that are managed by a publicly funded organization.

As long as your transactions are susceptible to withholding, block size and blockchain size really don't make much of an impression. What good is having a cap on block size, if after all is said and done, your finances are on a 'time-out' by a centralized mining operation, because there's no room in the block?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Are you doing something to get crypto coins adopted by the public ? on: November 18, 2015, 02:16:08 PM
Yup.

I'm playing crypto financed games.

And trading them.

And holding them.

And actively avoiding mentioning them at all to the public.

Because nobody really wants to hear tomorrow's news today.

Especially attributing it as 'disruptive' is just not the right angle imo. Sure 'disruptive' works when it's some new way to take in caffeine or alcohol. 'Disruptive' is great marketing for sneakers.

But as a monetary tool, 'disruptive' is problematic.

Bitcoin has been marketed as 'disruptive' so long now that that's really what people see it as. Blockchain seems like a new approach to marketing. Hopefully it won't be heralded as 'disruptive' or, at all, really.

I wouldn't call my screwdriver 'disruptive'. It does what it does and that's that. I don't feel particularly overwhelmed every time I open my tool box, so why should I feel any different when I load up a blockchain-based wallet?
