41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: February 12, 2020, 05:26:29 PM
Hi there,
What is the progress with this coin?
I invested in this coin and would like to know what's the status of my investment.
Regards
Bitdex

Dead. 45% refunded and the other part is coming soon™. Ton or whatever his name was ran away with the money and Nemgun is trying to start a CEX in the hopes to give money back (although it sounds like it'll be a shitcoin airdrop and only if you sign up and dox yourself on the CEX).

Personally, I've written off the 55% as a loss. The Canadian authorities are aware of Ton supposedly being Canadian. Hopefully they find him and lock him up for fraud on a massive scale.

In the starting threat I mentioned that pointing on others is like kinderkarden.

100% agree. Reads OP  Roll Eyes SMH.

Don't like it? Do something about it. Good luck with that.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Primalbase: Distributed Workspace for Tech Community - June 26 on: January 30, 2020, 03:05:24 AM
I was thinking of investing into primal base just for kicks. I was going to throw in a small amount and see how it does. Then I read this in the ToS:

Quote
9 Cancellation and refund policy

9.1 By participating in the Crowdfund, you acknowledge that Primalbase is not required to provide a refund for any reason, and that you will not receive money or other compensation in lieu of a refund, and you consent to no right of withdrawal from the fund of the Crowfunding.

9.2 All donations to Primalbase are final and nonrefundable

So basically, if they decide that they don't want to go ahead with this business anymore they thank you for the donation! (Not your investment. Did you notice that too? That must have been a Freudian slip).

This is how you distinguish the entrepreneurs who fully believe in their business and the ones who don't. No thanks. I'd rather invest with an entrepreneur that will do whatever it takes to succeed, not one that if they give up they just keep the money and have no legal recourse so to speak.

Primal Base says thank you for the donations folks.

Obvious scam is obvious.

FYI CryptoBridge exit scammed a while ago. I'm not sure what you're considering major or not, but there are lots of people out lots of crypto. I lost about 0.12BTC personally.

Hi

I’m from Australia and has 100k ravencoin in this exchange
Is there anyway I can get some of it back??

I never heard back from their support. I would have to assume it's gone if you can't withdraw using another bitshares based exchange.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin changed my life! on: January 30, 2020, 02:25:34 AM
I understood your hardship but, you never explained in your post what actual events using your phone and your PC were the reasons that changed your life. I means did you trade Bitcoin or did you started working on bounties? If you can be a little more specific then it will show the right path to all those who are trying to improve their life.

You see that signature below his post? There's your answer.

Anyway, at least you're getting out of poverty. Good luck with school. Hopefully it's not for legacy financials.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Development for Bitcoin to reduce CO2 footprint on: January 30, 2020, 01:53:39 AM

Bitcoin has currently a energeny consumption of 638 kwh per Transaction and a min of 51,92 TWh in total.

As I said simply stupidiy. As I said you can not eat money.

Fiat money is more expensive to create, because it's physical. How much energy is used to create and then move around one roll of nickels? The answer, is about as impossible to figure out as your 51.92 TWh figure. It's all guesses. What if part of that hash rate is some new ASIC that no one's ever heard of (happens a lot)?

Anyway, you create it and move it around. That's a huge problem with fiat, and you haven't even started! After the fiat is created and distributed (to the top 0.01% through quantitative easing) fiat money is then paid to the government (through taxes). The government then uses that fiat money to fund their wars. Wars use a massive amount of energy and also kill many many people on both sides. What happens when governments no longer print the money? They can't afford forever wars anymore.

Why not fixate on something that you can actually change, like governments wasting tons of energy on war, or creating a worthless currency? Why not fight against government subsidies on building highways? Your tax dollars paid for roads, so gas guzzling cars can buzz around and destroy our planet. Every statist you've ever met is the biggest problem with climate change.

Bitcoin, the new monetary system, changes all of that.

Golly. RVN ASICs exist as per OhGodAGirl. Colour me surprised /s.

You can listen to the podcast at https://hashr8.com/ and the info about the ASICs is a little over halfway through.

I'll take this as confirmation that my discord ban was to censor anyone stating the obvious.

Great community. The best community. So decentralized and so cypherpunk.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: January 05, 2020, 12:48:11 AM
The tittle is so misleading. Why even bothere writing that.

So newbies click on the thread, click on the link, try to invest then you're taught something. I feel like that should be pretty obvious by now, but what do I know. I'm just a howeycoin bagholder.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lucyd - Welcome to Lucyd, the new Augmented Reality World on: January 02, 2020, 10:21:22 PM
I hate to bump an old dead thread, but had no idea about this project until I was looking for some smartglasses. They are the best looking and cheapest on the market, although the Bose frames had gotten better reviews in terms of sound quality in every review I read.

I see that the tokens are on a few DEXs but I'm not interested in buying some ETH and trying out that mess of a chain right now. The spread is also ridiculous and the volume is non-existent.

If anyone wants to do a tiny OTC deal (like $5 or $10 worth) I'm looking to buy some LCD tokens. You send first or hopefully we can find an escrow for a small deal. I have XBT or grin. Send a DM if you're interested since I likely won't check back here.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: January 02, 2020, 02:08:29 PM
People are getting kicked an banned because they are trolling about ASIC scamming conspiracies.  If you troll in certain channels you get banned.

Please post examples of these "troll" messages on here so people can see why exactly they're being banned.

Basically, if your post contains the word ASIC or algo you'll be banned.

Things are tense in the Ravencoin discord. Well, not actually, but the government moderators have invented enemies to "protect" the citizens other discord users from hearing opposing opinions FUD.
You were censored for honestly just asking about things? Make a thread about it and flag these scammers once and for all.

I've got 0 proof. Honestly was extremely surprised that I was banned. It's not the first time but it will be the last. There's nothing left to support here.

ASICs/FPGAs took over a short few months after the fork, as expected, and no real solutions have been presented. The best idea is yet another hardfork to X algo because "it's ASIC resistant".

Taking the Monero approach is a terrible idea, but what do I know? I'm just some banned guy from rvn discord.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: December 31, 2019, 02:38:29 PM
Things are tense in the Ravencoin discord. Well, not actually, but the government moderators have invented enemies to "protect" the citizens other discord users from hearing opposing opinions FUD.

The community is no longer a community, it's a monarchy. No one asked these admins/mods to "lead" us, since there's nothing to lead. The project is heavily (completely) centralized with Medici paid devs. Mining has been and will be taken over by ASICs for the foreseeable future and I've got no reason to hang around. they don't want to hear about grin's model of embracing ASICs because "the whitepaper". If you're so closed minded why even open source the project?

Enjoy your echo chamber. It's been hand-picked by your rulers.

Sorry, you can't ban me on Bitcointalk. Maybe make a new thread that's self moderated. That would prove you're soooo cypherpunk, open source and the best community ever (see, anyone can echo if they try hard enough).

This is no longer fun. I'm out. Please pump by remaining bags so I get a good exit price.
53  Other / Meta / Re: Is this against the rules? Indirect referral link spamming. on: December 22, 2019, 02:19:58 AM
I see this so much in crypto. You find a "review" that seems really really basic, or factually inaccurate, that's basically only there so you click on the referral links.

Kill it with fire.
54  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many reports going unhandled? on: December 22, 2019, 02:17:25 AM
Since the beggining of my adventure here ~4.3% of my reports have gone unhandled. If you have more than that maybe it's a grey area the mods don't want to touch or they just don't know how to handle it. Just my 2 satoshis.
55  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The (Not So Elaborate) CryptoBridge scam on: December 22, 2019, 12:21:17 AM
I am well aware of that. I am asking if it is possible to insert the private keys starting with BTS somewhere into the bitshares blockchain to gain access to my Crypto Bridge wallet funds...since  Crypto Bridge is running on bitshares. Also I am going to report them to Interpol, since this is an european exchange.

I've heard of others doing this, but wouldn't know where to begin with the process. Good luck!

Thanks for reporting it. We'll see if anything ever comes out of it.

If someone can make or help me make a grin signature I'd be happy to wear it! So far my attempts have been less than successful.

58  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Generating a paper wallet securely on: December 06, 2019, 02:36:45 PM
Here's my old guide on how I did it. I'd change a few things now, namely using your own entropy source and generating either multisig or bech32 addresses, but the basics are there.

I also don't actually print anything anymore. I wrote it out, check it many many times and etch it onto something more durable.
59  Economy / Scam Accusations / The (Not So Elaborate) CryptoBridge scam on: December 06, 2019, 01:21:04 PM
What happened: I was duped in early 2018 to send some funds to this (ehem) "DEX" but very quickly found out that they were in fact a DEX only by buzzword-filled name. They were having some trouble with their centralized gateways.

Eventually my funds were credited, placed an order, send a little more bitcoins and logged out. That's the last time I had access to my funds. I'd say the issue was partly user error but mostly their buggy UI that was the cause for the loss of funds.

Anyway, now to present day. There was a vague announcement with zero details from a CryptoBridge rep on the Ravencoin discord. They popped in, said there should be an announcement that they're closing and left abpruply, never to be seen or heard from again. Fascinating.

I've reached out to support before but they told me this funny story about how they didn't hold my keys because, well, you know, they're a DEX. So because of their incompitence I lost a good amount of money. Damn. I wrote it off then and there.

Now I know they're actually a custodial exchange and they're regulated in the EU. Again, fascinating stuff. They somehow held up their DEX mirage for about 2 years.

Anyway, I've reached out to support so there is a trail of me demanding my coins. Hopefully some day law enforcement see it and figure this out, but CryptoBridge always has been a scam and is currently exit scamming.

60  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Move bitcoins anonymous to another wallet on: November 24, 2019, 03:15:53 PM
What is the the best and most anonymous way to move X bitcoins to another wallet?
Does it really matter to split it up in eg. 0.1-0.9 bitcoins per transaction? Or is there "services" that scanning the blockchain for transactions over eg 1 bitcoin? And how frequently can I do the transactions?

I will ofc use a vpn. But is there anything else that I should do?

There are services like walletexplorer.com that scan the blockchain for every transaction , no matter the size.

The best way to get some anonymity is using a mixer (hey will mix your coins with other people's coins and give you coins from another person)r. Chipmixer is the most used one around here.

It's 2019. Stop suggesting mixers. They've been broken for a long time.
