42  Other / Meta / Re: What did theymos do with 200K? on: March 09, 2015, 10:21:27 PM
Yeah, that's Slickage's $100k monthly fee. The amounts aren't exact, though. I send approximately the correct amount to an intermediate wallet of my own, and then it gets sent to Slickage via Coinbase.

The total cost will probably be around $1.5 million, which is more than I'd hoped, though not entirely unexpected.
The forum must meet your and almost everyone's expectation then. That's quite a large sum of money.
Do you know exactly how many developers are working on the forum?
And if they can be trusted 110%?
They could easily build in backdoors of which we would only found out about if things already were to go south.

I mean, I won't question your judgement but are you really sure they can be trusted?
43  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle on: March 09, 2015, 10:18:36 PM
Who the frick even needs an AR-15? To kill people?
Come one, 99/100 country's have a ban on weapons and there is no problem at all, and you Americans are crying and yelling if someone touches those damn things, not to mention the shootouts I regularly hear about on the news here in Europe. Get your shit together and throw those things in a melting oven and build some baking forms/school tables/lampposts out of the metal you get. And in the proces, get rid of those redicilous army bases and 100.000 Abraham tanks and 50.000 AH-64 heli's. You can keep the C-130J's though, they are one of my favorite planes...
44  Other / Meta / Re: Trust improvements on: March 09, 2015, 10:07:49 PM
Ok, and now I want to know:
I appear absolutely nowhere on the default-trust page (not even at level 4 depth) but to every member I leave a trust rating (be it positive or negative) the trust is still counted as "default trust" on my account at least.
Is that because I am green? I really don't freaking get it. I made an account (not going to do anything with it: sjefsjaak) to see it from other users perspective and there I see that I have a 4: -0 / +3(3) rating instead of the 3: -0 / +2 (2) I see on myself on my own account. On that new account, all trust I gave is untrusted on those users profiles.

Why can't I see my trust exactly the same as everyone else, this gives me false impressions...

There isn't a universal trust score for people, you are exactly right. On your personal trust list, you trust feedback from Default Trust, and yourself (Assuming you haven't made any modifications to your trust list) however, one can modify their trust list however they like to modify how they see trust. If you remove default trust from your trust settings, you won't see feedback left by default trust members as "Trusted". If you add XScammurzUrMoniesX to your trust list, you will see feedback they leave as "Trusted" feedback, but no one else will.
So you are saying trust given to someone by you will be "trusted' by default? So removing yourself from the "default trust" should solve the problem? Gotta try that then..

Edit: excluding myself from the list doesn't seem to work. I add "~kuusj98" in that text-box, click on the button, page refreshes and nothing changed.
Guess that's something I have to learn live with then, would sure be nice though.
45  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Official Seller] Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage on: March 09, 2015, 09:59:52 PM
Oh my they are so pretty...
You smelt my brain with these, don't think 75$ is feasible for me though, especially not with 13$ shipping costs.
Have any intel or plans on a silver plated version?
46  Economy / Goods / Re: [gourmetGR] CHOCO - Time!!! (Greek Chocolates & Wafers) on: March 09, 2015, 09:56:03 PM
Oh my god dude! You hit my soft spot, chocolate...
Seen this thread before but ignored it, kinda.

Will look into these chocolate bars a bit and see what (and if) I want to order.

48  Other / Meta / Re: [REPORT] ~ Please *stop* this user on: March 09, 2015, 09:08:57 PM
As much as I wouldnt mind that account being banned (along with 329392 others), its not a solution.

The real problem is that people are getting paid for signature campaigns. As long as that is allowed, we will be flooded by nonsensical spammy posts from a bazillion alt accounts, contributing nothing to the forum and burying worthwhile post under a pile of garbage,  both to boost their post count and to increase their (per post) sig campaign payouts.
Is it really that hard to put some hero/legendary's to the task of clearing these rubbish posts?
I wouldn't mind clearing up some dirt every now and again, I respect that Mods have lots of things to do but why not let the community help (or at least the more respected users)

I can't see why that wouldn't work...
49  Other / Meta / Re: newbie jail on: March 09, 2015, 09:05:54 PM
This is to persuade Theymos to open newbie jail.
Secondbest option, IMO, would be status-based filtering. Instead of lengthy ignore list, being able to set something like "show legendary, heroes and seniors only".
Uhm, ignoring ALL newbies and members and full members is a bit extreme don't you think? There are a lot of people in these ranks who don't post shit and shit only.
I vote for a reopen of the newbiejail though, too damn many people selling 128 GB iPhone's 6+ for 100$ on fresh accounts Tongue

Jesus Christ that is 50% over budget!
I seriously hope this dorum is going to be slick or it is a 1.5 Million not well spend.

Sorry if this has been anwsered like 100X already, but who and how many people are beta testing? I guess thats a must but I can be mistaking. For 1.5 they better deliver hahaha, I bet they will though..
51  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Steam Account (Level 2) with 9 Games + 2 Badges on: March 09, 2015, 08:45:43 PM
Meh, I think you should be happy with 0.05. I'm sorry but these games have been on sale like 20 times already and are also pretty old.
My Steam account with 2043$ raw-value can be brought together in sales for 493$. Some are from Humble bundle = presses price even more = 350-400$

Selling Steam accounts is not that lucerative tbh...
52  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: After ASIC what comes next? on: March 09, 2015, 08:41:46 PM
What will happen is process shrinks. So from say 22nm to 16nm which will result in a larger possible density of the chip, but that costs more so the product gets more expensive so less people buy the product and so on...
We need more efficient designs of current chips so we get more for less.
53  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: March 09, 2015, 08:39:04 PM
If you're an average miner and not overflowing with cash, the difficulty reduction meant nothing for you.

If you were making 0.2/week and you now make 0.22 instead of 0.18 for several weeks, it is very nice and can double your profits after maintenance costs.
Mining has absolutely no point in doing. Especially not Cloud mining, you will 99/100 times lose money and if you make fat stacks 12,5% ROI per week *COUGH* LTC-Gear *COUGH* it will most likely be a scam.
Anyway, getting 0.22 per week instead of 0.18 is sure as hell nice. But what if the prices drop even more?
54  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2015, 08:31:40 PM
I'll try to contribute here too.

How much BTC do you have now ? Not telling, sorry
How much did you spent? I think around 5BTC
How much did you lost or scammed by someone? 0.85 on a USB Block Erupter and nearly 0.10 on someone who sold a Battlefield 4 + premium to me but he charged it back, got in contact with EA and they activated it again basically giving the scammer no game to play and only a 0.10 profit Tongue

There are soooo many things to learn about Bitcoin, I started reading into it in begin 2012 and made an account mid 2012, mined for a few months and now I make my money of some investment (which is 99% sure also a scam, LTC-gear) and signature campaigns. Tips: never buy without escrow, and never buy key's or accounts from untrusted members, even with escrow because they can charge back. I also used escrow on that Battlefield 4 deal. Escrow is not a holy grail.
55  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] iPhone 6 Plus Space Gray 128gb on: March 09, 2015, 04:48:49 PM
There would be interest, if you accepted escrow and posted some pictures with your forumname.
You being a new member and 1st post selling the most expensive phone available makes me not trust you.
56  Economy / Collectibles / Re: f*D SPECIAL | VARIETY PACK OF 4 FS PROOFS + 10 DOGECOINS for 1 BTC on: March 09, 2015, 04:46:15 PM
You know I would be interested in a Copper and/or nickel Dogecoin, but 35$ shipping? Come on dude...
I got most of my coins from USA with like 1/10th of the shipping cost you are charging.
57  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins on: March 09, 2015, 04:41:58 PM
These look real nice and shiney Smiley
May order a 2-pack, maybe add a payment option for Bitcoin rather than having to email you? That may keep some load off you...
58  Other / New forum software / Re: Embeed YouTube videos on: March 08, 2015, 08:51:08 PM
Just my honoust opinion and 2 Bitcents, but won't that make the pages load far less quick for some people?
Not to mention security hazards and added server load. No thanks...
59  Other / New forum software / Re: How the "One Million Dollar" forum looks like ? on: March 08, 2015, 08:25:45 PM
No, it is build from the ground up. Github: https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk

Will epochtalk be a challenge to FaceBook ?

Why would be a challenge for facebook? Epochtalk "is" a forum software , facebook is a social network. They are two different things. I don't know when it will be released, but maybe enter the end of march.
But does building a new forum software really cost that much money?
I mean, not to offend anyone but this is some serious money getting spend on some new forum.

And, it will never be a challenge for Facebook, as you said, forum and social media are differend things.
60  Other / Archival / Re: Can we "Rate" a topic ? on: March 08, 2015, 08:23:05 PM
Upvote and downvote system?
You will however get a flow of people that are going to sell "upvotes" or "downvotes" for BTC, be it via PM or IRC.

I think a report button is all we need, but make it automatic, so like if people[vote=down] >50% = autolock
