I highly doubt that. People nowadays are too dependent on credit to sustain themselves, so the fiat related payment infrastructure will remain pretty much for ever and beyond, thanks to this shitty system.

Also, in order to spend Bitcoin, you have to buy it first, and let that buying happen through centralized services, which basically means that the anonymity you're referring to doesn't exist.

Mixing could be an option, but mixing services are still a niche in current days, and as long as that doesn't change, people will not be able to obtain even a remote form of anonymity. Blockchain = big brother is watching you.

    Credit cards and fiat money will never disappear, maybe will just change forms. Bitcoin has shown the world the potential of crypto-currency and blockchain but it just might as well remain an investment asset.
    That's why we see that, more and more, countries and various private  businesses are developing their own crypto. That's unleast how I see the future of "future" alt-coins. They'd be developed as a kind of "coupons" that you an cash in for various cost deductions or whatnot, therefore that coin will remain within the business.

Never say never. Nothing lasts forever and that applies to credit cards and fiat money. There will be a chance that they will be replaced by a far more superior form of money. It may no be bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies but it is possible. As the world is transitioning to a more digital and electronic way, then fiat will not be as what it used to be.

No point really for anyone to get his merit as it would result to anyone receiving any merit from him to be red tag. Actually, he just created a dangerous precedent as he could just send merit to anyone and possibly get the receiver red tagged for no apparent reason whose only fault was receiving the merit. Anyway, hope this ends here and no one gets hurt.

Then, in this case, you are assuming that the variance is in the casino's favor. Expected value changes not based on the bet limits, nor the strategy. You are assuming that the casino has profited off players to prove that the casino is profitable. That is begging the question and is invalid.

Expected value is absolute.

Mathematically it is absolute and in a perfect scenario it will happen. But the fact is that it does not put into equation human emotions and other factors that greatly will change the outcome of the bets in the whole scenario. Indeed that 0% house edge will not be as profitable as the ones with house edge, but I am just disputing the argument that there is still a chance these kinds of casinos can exist and make a profit.

Well, it didn't quite seem to reach much publicity.
They probably have high requirements too since it is 5BTC which were at the time of posting worth a lot more.
I agree, for sure they won't just randomly and loosely send 5BTC to anyone just like that. They will likely do a lot of research on the project and probably they want a big cut too from the profits and that could be one of the reasons why the other party (the project owner) will decline. Maybe also they do not want to create new competition like what you said before.

It's a fake for sure, there is no way it could be something real. First sign of it being one is that the domain was made in a free webhosting! Then most importantly there is no such thing as a way to win in gambling, unless you are playing poker or some skill based game. Don't expect that gambling can make you profit, it is not possible. If it was, then we would have heard a lot of stories of people defeating the casino and making themselves rich because of it, but we don't.

False. The rest of your post with the scenario does not matter.

It doesn't matter whether there are bet limits or if the house has more money than any given player (or heck, even all the players). If they bet some amount, they have an equal chance of winning and losing. That's it.

Greed doesn't matter. They could still very well win all their bets or lose all their bets. Once you get past this, it's easy to understand that with variance, martingale can end up with a player busting but when you consider the entire space of players (we'll call this S), it's different.

The expected value of the amount that S is returned is going to be 1. And this value is equivalent to the amount that the house gets: 1.

If statistically the house makes no money on each bet, how can you expect to profit regularly?
Hoping that individual players get greedy doesn't help because of the very question: what if they win? There isn't a house edge to make the chance of them losing more likely.

But the fact is that they cannot go over the bet limit. So in cases of martin gale they cannot perfectly use it.

It is correct that we cannot assume that every player will be greedy and they will gamble every penny they have until they lose, but the fact is that there will be players that will get greedy and try and chase their losses.

Assuming we get 1:1 losses and wins for the casinos and the players. With an expected value of 0, as you say. But let's assume 10% of the players do get greedy and try to win back everything and fail, then that means the casino will be in profits from those 10%. Of course we can assume as well that there would be players the profit from the casino, but theoretically it would still be hard to defeat the casino with the limits in place.

Its in human nature to share knowledge. There is nothing wrong with that. Whenever I share something that is helpful, I feel that I am doing the right thing. Keeping it in you will not do anything good. People exist to help each other. A simple tip won't hurt your earnings in gambling. It won't change the result of the game, whatever will be, will be.

I am not sure if you can consider those tips as knowledge as they are just opinions as most of the time without even basis. More of gut feels and analysis was not used. There are some that make use of analysis to determine the likelihood of an event to occur but even if they did do so, there is still a great chance they are wrong. Usually the people that share these tips expect something else in return for it.

Probably make another post at the services section and see if there are technical people that might be able to help you, or better yet, you can just send a support ticket or email or whatever way you can contact the developer of that program. Another course of action is to try and find another similar program that will suit your needs. Likely that program you are currently using is the only one that offers such.

In my place horse racing game is legal and gamblers put their bets on the horses of their choice, however there group of gamblers who place bets by themselves within the group they form and watch the game online or live on TV and distribute their bets to the winner after the game. This one is illegal. Do you have the same activity in your place and are you participating in horse racing gambling too?

I participated once due to high rewards but it's just for testing my beginners luck. I really don't preferred a gambling game on which Im not comfortable and doesn't have a knowledge on it.

Horse racing gambling game is legal here but only for those who are regulated. Any kinds of unregulated gambling here is illegal. We have some sort of gambling bookies around our streets and it attracts people (generally, mostly age of late 30's above) because of high reward on a small bet although as usual, it must be on high odds. And honestly, houses around that bookies take that opportunity to do business by establishing a drinking bar with live horse game to watch since the main bookie was full of people and you can't watch the race properly.

Just a dissapointment that at the end of the day, lots of paper bets scattered all around the place and it will just be sweep by street sweeper the next day in the morning.

Everything is a business, of course they would monetize the shit out of it and a simple drinking bar is easy enough to establish to keep the patrons entertained and busy gambling. We can't really expect a sore loser to clean up his losing ticket can we? If it won then he'd cash out and like 95% of the people throw the tickets in fraustration.

Really exciting to see this! If everything checks out good here on this project then there won't be any instance that the bookie just arbitrarily cancels the bet slip for "reasons" they just make up. Most of the time they cancel it because their system made a mistake and placed pretty good odds on the bet and they have to save themselves by screwing the players. Let's see if decentralized will cure this problem.

Not yet, wait for the time that the Mt. Gox liquidation ends and when that happens that is when the bull market starts again. Based from the price ranges from what is happening, they are actually maintaining the price of $9,000. When it goes a little above it, there is a massive sell down till $8,000 or less. Then it slowly goes back up till $9,000 again and it repeats the process. By my estimate, they may finish by mid-year, since they are dumping a lot of coins.

It really depends with the world on how it will accept bitcoins or cryptocurrencies. So far, money is just based on trust. Trust that the country behind the currency is stable and that it can pay the debt of the bill any person is holding. Gone are the days that the gold reserve is the basis of how valuable the note is, but it is based on solid economics of the country it represents. This may be true with bitcoins, as it will represent people that believe in it without even the need for an economy of its own.

There is a news from G-20 talks for cryptocurencies, they call it crypto asset. I think it should be good news for crypto space as it started to be acknowledged by government then people will be encouraged to invest. Any news is good news for cryptocurrencies, especially when it comes from the governments. This means that they are slowly recognizing what they are. Just that I do hope that they will not impose a very restrictive regulation for its use that will lead to the technology being hindered or even completely phased-out due to the regulation.

For me, it is not to trade those super volatile coins and the highly inflated ones even if you are on the short side of things. It's highly unpredictable and in the end you can be on the losing end of the stick every trade you make. Also, do not let your emotions run lose and make a panic decision that ends up you selling a lot lower than what you bought the cryptocurrency for.

Best time to exit trading is to just be ahead, like way ahead when you can just live off the interest of all amount of money you were able to profit from your trading. It would be super hard to do, but that's the amount you should aim for. If you haven't reached that amount then you really have to work hard to be able to trade here. That's the best thing to do.

Above op replied to me about this. so if anyone wants to integrate his games must have their own payment solution(deposits/withdrawal system) for users to gamble on one's site. it might be difficult for some people to implement payment solution.. i think white label would be much better approach. you can have both though, people can choose which one they can work with. I see. Well looks like there is still a lot more to develop before it can be implemented easier. Probably this would be best suited for those sites that has some sort of balance or credits they are holding for their clients. Something like exchanges, wallets, and e-commerce, where people need to deposit something. I think probably in the future something like this will be quite normal to see in sites.

Why are we even talking about saving money in gambling? Gambling is some sort of past time. You have to pay for your entertainment, the money you use for gambling should already be considered as "payment" to the gambling site since there is a higher chance that you won't get it back or earn more. If you win, then good if you lose don't cry about it. Gambling should never be about saving or earning money.

It's acceptable for a site to have a promo where they have 0% house edge for a short while. However having it permantely it makes no sense.

Hence it might be a scam of some sort.


Theoretically, it is possible for a gambling site to profit from a 0% house edge gambling game. There are two reasons why, first is bet size limits and the house having more money than the player.

Imagine a situation, where a gambling does a martin gale system bets and the casino has a max bet of 1 BTC and lastly the gambler bets at 50% with 0.01BTC per bet. The scenario is that he cannot win against the house since there is still that chance that he will have a losing streak long enough to deplete his bankroll or reach the bet limit.

0.64
1.00

The gambler only needs to lose 8 times to reach the max. Even if you simulate this in a computer game with a lower starting bet or higher limits, it will result to a time that the gambler will have a long losing streak that would empty his bankroll.

The only problem is that the casino will not earn as much as the other casinos with house edge.

Just my opinion, I would say there two different kinds of gambling in the cryptosphere, excluding sports books and probably others, which are casinos (slots, blackjack, and other games we normally see in a physical casino or conventional online casino) and there are dice sites which are pretty popular in the crypto gambling industry.
