41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: December 29, 2023, 08:49:31 PM
It seems like your friend didn't explain Bitcoin to you clearly enough. Bitcoin is a volatile asset, which means that its value can fluctuate rapidly. Investing all your money in Bitcoin at once is not advisable. Instead, you should consider using a strategy called Dollar-Cost Averaging. This strategy involves purchasing smaller amounts of Bitcoin over time to achieve an average purchase price.

I think your friend is trying to say that the value of Bitcoin can sometimes decrease, but it can also increase in the future. It's important to hold onto your investment and not sell it unless the price is high enough to make a profit.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 28, 2023, 09:11:21 AM

Ok, let's forget Binance withdrawal fees. If I want to make transactions from the ledger, then the transaction has to arrive in 15 minutes. I am pretty sure if I want to ensure the time frame, then I have to spend similar fees, even from Ledger. So it's become hard to pay $17 transaction fees to make a $50 deposit. And by force, I had to use a virtual card that doesn't cost anything (I didn't notice any significant fees) and was an instant transaction as well. It made me believe that we are drifting away from Bitcoin's original goal in some way.

If you have other payment options available, I suggest using them instead of Bitcoin. The transaction fee for Bitcoin is quite high, and if you dont want to pay a high fee, it's best to avoid using it for payments. Honestly, even though the transaction fee for Bitcoin is high, it doesn't bother me because I dont use it for my daily transactions. I have several other options for daily transactions, such as credit cards, cash, and e-wallets. As an investor, my point of view on Bitcoin remains unchanged despite the problem in transaction fee.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: December 28, 2023, 08:14:08 AM
Gambling is not bad after all but addiction is, gambling has been receiving a lot of negative reactions and feedback but gambling also has a lot of health benefits associated with it but you can only get these benefits if you are a responsible gambler and you have total control of what you wage and limit your bankroll

Can you add more besides what's written in this article?

While winning can certainly have health benefits, such as boosting dopamine levels and reducing stress, it's important to note that these benefits may not be present when you're not winning. In fact, losing can often lead to feelings of disappointment, frustration, and even depression.

I am interested in knowing whether people who gamble frequently and responsibly experience any health benefits from their activity. I am particularly curious about the positive impact of gambling on their mental and emotional well-being, even when they are not winning. How often do you feel positive, even when you lose? Do you believe that gambling can relieve your stress, even when you are not winning?
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 28, 2023, 07:35:23 AM
My question now is are there any moral, ethical or legal obligation to bar a person from gambling after physically observing that he is mentally unstable?

It's important to remember that a person's appearance doesn't necessarily indicate their mental health. Simply looking at someone's clothes isn't enough to determine if they're mentally unstable. We can't assume why they're dressed a certain way, but it's possible that it could be related to their gambling habits. Based on your post, it seems that the person you saw is mentally stable since he didn't misbehave in the gambling house and knew how to bet. We can't be sure if they're begging for money, which could explain their clothes. In some countries, begging is a job because the amount of money they can earn from it encourages people to continue begging.
45  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Dapat Iwasan At Tandaan Kung Sasali Sa Mga Airdrop on: December 27, 2023, 03:22:41 PM
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 27, 2023, 03:46:07 AM
Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?

Some individuals can spend hours or even an entire day gambling and still find enjoyment in it.

The amount of money a person spends on gambling depends on various factors, such as their strategy, betting amount, playing style, and level of greed. It is possible for some individuals to lose more money within an hour compared to others who gamble for six hours. The duration spent gambling doesn't have any direct effect on the amount of money a person loses. The only exception is when two individuals have the same betting amount and one spends longer hours gambling than the other. In this scenario, the one who spends longer hours is likely to lose more money.

The best strategy is to quit while you're ahead. If you're already losing, it's best to leave now. The longer you gamble, the higher the chance of losing.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Affiliate Program Problem on: December 26, 2023, 04:28:10 PM
I'm a Gambling Affiliate and something is bothering for some time. In most of the casino affiliate programs that I registered to, I can make a little amount of money or nothing at all. Did anybody encountered a similar problem?
If you're not earning enough money through referrals, it could be because the person you referred is not regularly playing and depositing. Therefore, it's important to double-check their referral commission to make sure it's correct. If the commission is too low, it may be a problem, and you should contact support for assistance. It's crucial to ensure that you're receiving the correct referral commission amount. Be sure to read carefully the referral commission requirements, as some programs have several conditions that you must meet before receiving them.
48  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Banning ng Binance App sa Pinas on: December 26, 2023, 11:35:30 AM

Bybit? Okx? Kucoin? At bakit?
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 25, 2023, 09:49:28 PM
What do we have to say about this?

I don't believe I am addicted to gambling, but I do believe that individuals have control over their actions. It is ultimately up to them whether they become successful or not in gambling, and they are responsible for their own lives. If you want to stop gambling, take control of your decisions and don't blame others for your actions. Everyone has the potential to win, but not everyone will. The problem arises when addicted individuals continue to gamble in the hopes of winning, even when they are losing too much money. Accepting that loss is a natural part of the game is important and can help prevent addiction.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out! Blockchair has been hacked! on: December 25, 2023, 09:25:21 PM
Hi. I first noticed this when I tried to copy my bitcoin address, and put it Blockchair. The address is not the one that should have been copied!

I understand that you might be facing an issue where only one Bitcoin or Ethereum address gets pasted when you copy a Bitcoin or Ethereum address. This is a familiar problem that I have dealt with before. To fix this problem, I recommend that you install a reliable anti-virus program on your computer. This will not only help you prevent similar issues from happening again but also keep your device safe from other viruses. I always double-check the address before sending it because of this malware.
51  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Anung estimate price ninyo pagdating ng bitcoin halving on: December 25, 2023, 02:25:19 PM
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin/bitcoin-halving

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 24, 2023, 04:51:04 PM
The value of Bitcoin has gradually reached great heights. It has become impossible for a new small investor like me to invest in Bitcoin. I am a very small investor. $2k wealth is mine. Well does Bitcoin provide any opportunity in future that I can invest.

It's still a good investment even at the current price. Who knows how high it can go when the bull run comes? You can buy even less than 1 whole Bitcoin. So, if you're interested in investing in Bitcoin, why not buy now? Who knows what the price will be in the next few days? My advice is to buy only a small amount like 3% of $2k per day to accumulate more Bitcoin in the long run without buying it at all at a high price. You can buy it weekly or daily if you want to lessen the risk and find a good price.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the #1 crypto currency in the world if it's slow and expensive? on: December 24, 2023, 09:25:14 AM
Yes, it's the first coin ever created, but it's slow and expensive (unless you're using the lightning network which most people and businesses don't).
I am not certain if Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency ever created, but I believe it is considered the number one cryptocurrency because of its price movements, earning potential, and the tremendous trust people have in it which is not comparable to other Altcoins. This trust factor makes the risk of investing in it lower as compared to other cryptocurrencies that may easily dump due to an issue. Moreover, people trust it more than any other cryptocurrency. But if you are looking for quicker and cheaper coins, there are many other cryptocurrencies to choose from.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 24, 2023, 07:47:04 AM
how many of you guys develops interests on a particular casino platform due to the influence of the casinos streamers?

I don't enjoy watching some content creators because I suspect that they may be deceiving their viewers into using their affiliate links. I believe that it's important for content creators to be transparent and truthful with their audience. I hope that more streamers will adopt this honest approach in the future. Also, I usually unfollow content creators who make content for all ages and include advertisements in their videos on how to make money through gambling. They promote it solely for financial gain, without any regard for the fact that young viewers may be watching their content.

I began gambling on my own, without any influence from content creators. However, when I see their posts on social media, it feels like they're deceiving their followers to earn money. Some people might become addicted to gambling since these content creators always emphasize the possibility of earning money through it. But in reality, not everyone can earn through gambling, only a few can.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifted wife with bitcoin money on birthday and wife happily gifted BTC logo on: December 23, 2023, 06:28:51 PM
Judging from the post and some interpretations in the thread, you spent some BTC on buying a hair straightener, right? So you didn't literally give her BTC, you used some BTC to buy this thing?
It's hard to read the post when a lot of times the op is saying "he" either when meaning "she" (wife) or when talking about himself... I also found it weird that you celebrate your wife's birthday "almost every year" because I thought every year makes more sense.
In any case, I'm happy it worked out for both of you, with you using BTC to buy her a present, and her making a BTC logo.

Im not entirely sure, but I think the money he gave to his wife came from his Bitcoin investment. Perhaps next time, he could consider giving her Bitcoin directly so that she can experience being a holder of Bitcoin and better understand it.

Let's focus on the positive side. OP deserves praise for putting a lot of effort into celebrating their wife's birthday. That's a really kind and thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: December 23, 2023, 03:56:30 PM
I don't know if there are any laws of specific gambling platform owners. But naturally the question that arises is why they are gambling? I don't think they have any motive for gambling as they are getting passive income from gambling platform. They are businessman, not gamblers. A gambler usually gambles for the sake of more money but those who are traders plan to increase their money not by gambling but by growing their business. If you think like a gambler then gambling is possible by them but if you think like a businessman then there is no scope to think like a gambler. I think there is no problem if someone is gambling.

Anyone has the right to vacation the way they want, even if they are a casino owner. And he will not always insist on being played along. A person just wants to experience emotions and get a charge of andrenaline. And who can prohibit the owner of the casino to play in his own casino?

Some casino owners like to gamble on their own betting sites to test their functionality. Others may visit other casinos to get ideas on what they can implement in their own establishment. There are many possible reasons why company owners may choose to bet. Being a business owner doesn't mean you can't try your own product/services. In fact, you should be the first one to try it before you can market it and become profitable with it. Unless you're a company owner who doesn't care about the result of your own product/services.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good or bad way to avoid high transaction fee? on: December 23, 2023, 01:44:09 PM
I know this option and holding Bitcoin in other chains is possible, but I wouldn't recommend it. The Bitcoin held in other chains is not the real Bitcoin. It's just pegged to Bitcoin. I'm uncomfortable keeping my Bitcoin in other chains because there is a risk of it being depegged if there are any issues with the main coin of that chain. Most people withdraw their Bitcoin from exchanges like Binance because they don't trust them. Holding your Bitcoin in other chains to save on withdrawal fees is not a wise decision. I would rather pay a high withdrawal fee than risk holding my Bitcoin in other chains.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 23, 2023, 01:21:38 PM
Don't be deceived, not every gamblers who actually claims that they won really won.
Some falsefully speculates that they won just because they want to pave an ease to those who has been advising them to quit or limits gambling simply because the gambler has been unlucky to win instead he keep betting over and over without a good bankroll management in their gambling carriers.
They basically do this because they feels disturbed and inconveniences of the people's opinions and advices towards the gamblers unprofitable gambling experiences
It is a case of if you can't beat them join them. How stupid and crazy. Why fake what you are not. I don't think anyone is going to be at you up if you win or lose.
There is so much peer pressure to fit in. It is like what I was taught in my psychology class about in group and out group. And I know that these are the folks with a high propensity to be addicted to gambling.
The person responsible for the act is highly addicted to gambling. They would resort to deception in order to continue satisfying their addiction, despite being advised to quit. While they may feel disturbed by those who advise them to quit, it's important that they wake up and recognize the harmful impact their addiction can have on their life. Those who offer guidance on quitting or limiting their gambling have their best interests at heart and are trying to prevent them from ruining their life.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 22, 2023, 06:41:40 PM
Hello guys, I have heard many stories when person was playing casino games, for example person was playing slots and managed to win a huge jackpot, 100 thousand or up to a million but casino didn't give him his winning because they said slot had bugs and they can't give away money because person won through a buggy slots.
I have never seen a case when casino called player for a refund because slot had bugs. What happens if you think that slot has bugs and that's why you lose? If we follow logic, since casino can deny your winning because they think that game has bugs, you should have right to ask for slots inspect if you lose a lot. Doesn't this make sense? I think it makes but I want to know if you had similar experience or if something similar has happened in history ever.

It is understandable that casinos must be diligent in examining jackpot prizes before awarding them to players. This is to ensure that the prize has not resulted from a technical malfunction or error, which could damage the casino's reputation. Although winning a substantial jackpot is an exhilarating experience for us gamblers, it is only fair that we receive the promised reward. If the casino fails to provide the jackpot or compensate for any damages caused by their technical issues, then legal action may be taken.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: December 22, 2023, 06:07:18 PM
If you don't have enough money to gamble and sustain your needs then it is something that you couldn't pull off.
The way I see it making a living from gambling or trading needs a huge amount of capital because we all know that we wouldn't always get a profit from it, we couldn't guarantee a consistent income from it.
There would always be a time that we would lose or couldn't make anything from it.
We are discouraging others to gamble or trade because not everyone is cut off to be in that profession or consider it as their main job.

Gambling can be enjoyable, but it's important to be aware of the risks involved. Just like drinking alcohol, it's easy to become addicted and end up losing a lot of money. To avoid any negative outcomes, it's important to set limits on how much money you're willing to win or lose while gambling. Remember, gambling should not be seen as a source of income because luck is not always on our side. Some people tend to bet higher amounts than they can afford, thinking they can consistently make money from gambling, but this is not a sustainable way to gamble. By setting limits, you can stay in control and prevent any problems from arising.
